We contracted with Ted to install a ceiling fan in our home office. He was very repponsive on Yelp and quoted us a fair price for the install and any drywall cuts and repairs. Once he was here, we asked him his opinion on two wall switches in a different room that were not working, and he stayed longer (while I ran to Home Depot for new toggle switches) to fix both of them as well for just a little more added to our total. The fan install was a little more difficult than Ted anticipated, and it was an insane night in our home as well (my husband's car was at the shop and he needed it for work the next day so we had to get that taken care of while Ted was here working) - I'm sure he thought we were nuts, but he was very gracious and understanding about everything! The end results look great, and I am SO happy our light switches are working again - all of this was done for a third of the cost we were quoted by someone else to just do the install and paint the office ceiling (we ended up doing the painting ourselves anyway). We will definitely be calling on Ted in the future for all our other electical needs - he is knowledeable, quick, and neat. Thanks, Ted! Do not hesitate to give him a shout out if you need electrical work or wiring done. read more

Ted is very professional and easy to work with. He responded quickly through Yelp and explained everything clearly. His prices were fair and it was obvious he knows a lot about proper home care and house maintenance. He called out a few things in my in-laws home that need to look into further and I really appreciated him pointing those things out. I hired him to install a TV antenna. He made sure it was grounded correctly and sealed all the spots where the antenna was mounted on the roof to ensure no water damage. Most importantly, everything was done to code and no shortcuts were taken. The wiring was done cleanly and organized, and the reception on the TV is excellent on every channel. I highly recommend him and would hire him for future jobs without hesitation. read more

Another great job completed and we are very happy with this on too. Reasonable upfront pricing. This was a 98" tv install with sound bar and Apple TV. Everything mounted well and looks good. He even stayed to assist with set up, which I appreciate. read more

Responded quickly and came out the same day. Would definitely recommend and would absolutely use again!

I have used Ted's services at least 4 times now over the years. You get upfront and very fair pricing and Ted is exceptionally knowledgeable in the fields he works in. He is very conscientious and works had to solve difficult challenges. In short, if Ted can do what you need done based on what he shows are his area of expertise (anything autdio visual, electrical work, security cameras), you want Ted to do the work for you! I fully recommend him. read more

Ted mounted 2 TVs for us - 1 on standard drywall and the other on a brick wall. He was extremely professional and very fairly priced. He is professional and friendly. While we only got the TVs installed the first time around, we again had him come over this time to mount a soundbar. This required removing the TV from the wall, adding new power outlets etc. Again, he did a great job and on time. Very good in communication- quick replies. He is going to be our electrician going forward! Thanks Ted. read more

He installed an outdoor antenna on the roof. He did a competent job and made sure the picture came through on the TV. He also noted a slipped out of place outdoor light. He was able to repair it. Decent prices. I would call him again. read more

Friendly and knowledgeable. Willing to help talk through a project even before hiring him.

Moved into a new house earlier this year and it has lots of projects to tackle. Called around to get estimates for a light fixture installation. Ted responded extremely promptly and gave a vary fair quote. We had him come out and he did an excellent job installing and cleaning up. Did such a good job I later called him to ask if he could install a video doorbell for me. He came out and did a great job, for a moment it looked like he might need to swap out my transformer and he even had one in his van but didn't end up needing it. He did such a great job with both tasks I recommended him personally to my brother in law for electrical work. Since then I had an issue with light fixtures in my master bathroom so called him again and he came by, showed me the issue and that it wasn't with the actual electrical components. He walked me through all the possible concerns including showing me what the back of the side attic looked like and recommended I bring in an insulation contractor. Overall, if I have any task that requires electrical work I have a go-to specialist now, contact Ted, you won't regret it. read more

Another 5 star review for Ted! We had a TV install that required some experience and problem-solving, so we checked Yelp for reviews and found HD Forever. Ted arrived on time, got right to work, asked where we wanted the TV, took measurements, and got the TV up in record time. We needed additional spacers, which he had. There's no way we could have done this ourselves. We don't even own the right tools to get through brick. Don't mess around, just get Ted to do it for you! read more

I contacted Ted to install a 70 inch TV in February. Ted provided an appointment within 2 days of my call, arrived on time, was professional, and completed the installation quickly. His installation fee was very reasonable. He did a great job with the installation and took time to explain how I could use the bracket to re-position the TV if needed. I would highly recommend Ted! read more

In summary: Failed to follow Covid protocols. Damaged surrounding wall area (photos attached). Electrical work completed satisfactorily. It's difficult for me to give one star, but the failure to follow basic safety protocols during the Covid pandemic overrules any satisfaction we may have experienced with his electrical work. He entered our house without a mask, which made us extremely uncomfortable from the outset. When we asked him if he would please wear a mask, we offered to give him a mask, and he accepted it begrudgingly; however, he wore it improperly under his nose the entire time, rendering it useless for protection. For this reason alone, we will never hire him again. Second, while the electrical work was performed satisfactorily, he caused damage to the area around the wall outlet. Photos attached. Overall, DO NOT recommend, especially if you have concerns about welcoming vendors into your home during Covid. It is EVERYONE'S responsibility to keep ourselves and each other safe, and this business failed to do so, deeply unsettling us and losing our business forever. read more

I have been trying to get two tv's mounted for the past month - because it was a frame tv I kept getting blown off, crazy prices, or really bizarre requests. I got ahold of hdforever around noon on a Friday via yelp, and Ted got back to me by like 2pm, got here at 545 and had both tvs mounted by 645! and the price was half what I was getting quoted. ted was straightforward with what would work and what wouldn't and totally delivered on an excellent install experience... will definitely be calling again for other work we have around the house! read more

Very knowledgeable, beautiful work, no nonsense. Willing to discuss all financial options.

1. Needed a quick fix on what i thought was loose cord. (Electrician moved cabinet a few days earlier and disconnected AV equipment in the process.). I am not savvy on AV systems. 2. Ted did same day. Reconnected loose cords. Replaced and connected subwoofer because that was never connected when I hired Handy Hippos to set this up. Quick, efficient, and explained what he did. Also, gave me inexpensive options for lighting. Wish i had hired him to manage AV for my move. He communicates clearly, responded quickly, came fully prepared for anything (had replacement cables available in his truck at nominal cost.). Wish all contractors were like Ted. Using his services again for sure. read more

When I asked Ted when he could come out to mount a TV...he said "how about today?". He showed up a few hours later and did an outstanding job! Ted clearly knew what he was doing and his price actually ended up coming in under the initial estimate because we didn't have to patch up some holes that we initially thought might be visible. I absolutely hate working with contractors...but I would hire Ted again in a heartbeat. Keep up the good work!!! read more

I used HDForever for installation of a Samsung Frame. Ted was so quick to respond and was able to schedule next day too. He was really competent and worked hard to overcome an issue with the wall's construction that was caused by a different contractor. Just hire this company. He's really good, professional, and does really clean work. We had him do cat-6 and speaker wire running, capping and install.
