I sent a message requesting possible services but received absolutely no response which was unfortunate.

Nate did a great job with our yard clean up after a big remodel project that left our front and back yards covered with debris. He was easy to communicate with and did exactly what we talked about. I love that he texts because he let me know exactly when he was coming, and responded to questions really promptly. That's a big deal to me because I've worked with guys who are really hard to reach, you never know when they're coming, and you can't let them know if you want something else done. I'll definitely keep using Haul u Need for regular monthly yard work. read more

I'm giving 4 stars because of the timing issue, he arrived rather late. But once he came, he got the job done! Hauled away trash, pulled up weeds, moved gravel and dirt. I was very pleased with the service and loved how clear my yard looked when he left. Even though he came late, I would still use his services again in the future. read more

Nathan is fantastic -- he hauled away a few large pieces of furniture for us and was incredibly responsive, kind, and affordable. We will definitely use his services again! read more

I hired Nate to prune an overgrown tree in my backyard. After we agreed on the price (pretty fair). He did the job that wasn't easy... tree was at least 20 feet tall. Nate did a very good job, swept up afterwards and hauled away the debris. I might need a dump run soon! Highly recommended. read more

Nate rules. He gave us an estimate, it was dark and it was clearly way under what the job entailed. Our garden was a disaster. He respectfully asked for a little more money on the day of (in the light!) and after 2 hours of watching him and his team work I was happy to give him even more than he asked for. Totally professional, down-to-earth, and reliable service. Our yard has never looked better. I look forward to doing more business with him in the future, highly recommended. read more

Nathan took on the unenviable job of topping off three overgrown bushes in our patio -- a jungle of a mess. But he turned the patio into our little paradise with his hard work, diligence and listening skills. We are going to enjoy barbecues more than ever. Nice job! He aims to please and he achieved that goal. I recommend him. read more

Made an appointment for Nathan to look at my yard and give me an estimate. He suggested the day and time, I confirmed that it was fine and thought everything was set. I waited and waited, way beyond the agreed period. He did not show up. No phone call, no email to provide explanation. Nothing. How inconsiderate to waste my time in this way! read more

I had high hopes for the services of this company after reading all the positive reviews. But it just goes to show that reviews sometimes don't always show the proper picture. I called them last Thursday and spoke to Nate. I informed him that I needed some front yard work and would he come by and see the yard then call me for a quote. If the quote was acceptable, they he could do the work. He said he could come on Sunday to see the place then give me a call. Well, Sunday came and went with no call. The same thing on Monday and the same thing today. Not even a call to reschedule or anything. Of course, I went with someone else. The old adage is true "You never get a second chance to make a good first impression"! read more

I couldn't have found a nicer guy to clear my overgrown, unkept garden. He did a great job and gave me good advice along the way. I'll use him again and I recommend him. read more

found on yelp, Nate is professional and rad. Highly recommend! all work completed as promised in no time!

Came the same day for a small load. Very friendly and reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

I wanted to take out about 20 bushes that came with the house. They were all of the same species, and apparently the favorite food of a certain breed of caterpillar / moth. Caterpillar-cocoon-mageddon was the result. The plants were dying, and it was time for them to go. With a backyard party a week out, I found Nate on Yelp, and was able to get the work done before the big day. He was very responsive by text message, and was amiable and professional. It took him 3 hours to get it done (along with taking down a big stray branch off my plum tree, and taking out two extra bushes that had gotten too huge for their positioning at the sidewalk). He bid the project, rather than getting into a per-hour rate. I feel like, for the tough work involved, we reached a good price. Btw, he did half the work in pouring rain. Recommended. read more

He came over the same day, knocked out my whole forest in front and back yards with nothing but a weed wacker. Great price and did extra than what we had agreed on for free. read more

I can't say enough positive things about our experience. Nate and his crew did an amazing job. It was a huge daunting project and he and his crew kept on it till completed. read more

Two no-shoes in a row leave me to believe Nate is not reliable. He leaves you hanging and doesn't keep his word. Use another company, not this one. read more

Nate was fast, timely, reasonably priced, and responds quickly to phone and text messages. He finishes his work completely and cleans up after himself. read more

If reasonable, dependable, and quality ring your bell. Call Nate. This young man goes beyond offering great service with premium landscaping for fair price. He's a hard worker with an eye to good landscaping esthetics. And to boot he's prompt and finishes job when he said he will. Pleased? You betcha. Planned to use his services for all our yard and landscaping needs. read more

Nate was great and exceeded our expectations. We have a large backyard in Berkeley that was overgrown and in much need of TLC as we recently moved in, but we were not ready to "landscape" it. He understood exactly what needed to be done, and finished all the work in 2 days (and we were on his schedule less than 2 weeks after our initial meeting). The price was incredibly fair for the scope of work, and I look forward to bringing him back to do our front yard! We were flexible with our dates, which was helpful with his hectic schedule. read more

Nate and Crew did a great job! They cleaned our yard and ivy very quickly and did a meticilious job. The price was reasonable and they were very fast. read more

I have had Nate and his crew out 4 times, approx. every 6 months for yard clean-up. They do it all: weeding, mowing, pruning, tree removal, tree planting, leaf clean-up, etc. I am always happy with the work - - they do a great job and Nate is always careful to do the job to my specifications. Nate and his guys are very nice, easy to work with, and extremely hard workers. His prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend. read more

We had a monster bottle-brush/ivy hedge that was taking over our front yard. I called Haul U Need on Saturday morning. Nate responded immediately, estimated a price over the phone. It turned out to be a bigger job than he expected, and I appreciated the way he negotiated a new estimate once he saw what he was up against. After that, he worked hard, payed attention to detail, cleaned up thoroughly and communicated with us every step of the way. read more

I called Nate on a Sunday when a heavy rain had broken a huge branch off my tree and was blocking my house. He came that very day, in the rain, and in one hour had cleared away everything. A very nice man who charges quite reasonable rates. I'm hoping to use him to fix the tiles that were broken on my roof by the branch. read more

I had a small job and called Haul U Need. Nate came quickly, quoted a reasonable price for the job, and did it on the spot. Would def use him again. read more

Awesome! I called Nate on Friday he came Saturday morning! I explained what we wanted done - clear off the driveway, cut back ivy, trim trees. He was very fair negotiating the price and the work was very detailed. Exactly what we wanted. We will hire Nate back next month for another job! read more

Nate came by to give an estimate a few days after I called him. Started work the same day. Maybe the best thing about his work is his honesty and intelligent appraisal of the situation. In my case, there was A LOT to be done, and he was willing to work with me, giving me pricing options, and wanting my feedback throughout the process. My yard is restored to me! By his own admission, he can be a little challenged to be on time, but he delivered everything as promised within a reasonable window. Overall, very satisfied with his hard and efficient work. read more

I was very happy with the way Nate cleaned up my yard. He mowed and weed whacked and generally made it look tidy which is what I badly needed. read more

Great job with real attention to detail. Yard and surrounding areas went from a jungle to a lovely clear area. Nate works really hard and I am very grateful! read more

Nate is amazing! He works hard and fast, and does a great job! His rates are very reasonable. Nice guy :) We will call him again!

We had a very good experience with these guys. Nate gave us a good estimate to clear out our back yard forest, remove retaining wall and move all the dirt, and trimmed a very out of control hedge. He hauled all the stuff away, and more, and stuck to his estimate. Our yard looks great. We highly recommend him! read more

Nate and his team were awesome. They worked really hard to grade the soil around our home after a big construction project. Nate really gave a lot of time and consideration to how he would handle our job, which is why we went with them. read more

I called Nate over the holidays as I have a rental that was recently vacated and the previous tenants did not really maintain the yard for months. The weeds were overgrown, and tree branches were strewn all over. Piles of leaves remained in several parts of the garden. Since I was having an open house just before New Year, I was really not expecting anyone to show up at my rental. I called Nate, and texted him some photos of the yard to get a rough estimate. After several test message exchanges, Nate and his crew showed up and spent a couple of hours at the front, back and side yards. They did an amazing job cleaning the yard. read more

Well, I really can't say anything about the service since I didn't get to use his service. This my story: My neighbor and I recently repaved our sidewalk because a root outgrowth from an old tree. It has created a huge bump on the sidewalk and increasingly dangerous for people to walk over it. When the city finally agreed to come by to fix the problem by taking out the tree and grind the roots out, it creates 2 piles of tree root debris and dirt which need to be taken away. I've contacted Nate for an estimate for removing them since he is a local contractor. (I've always try to use local people.) I've asked him to swing by and send him a couple of pictures in the process. In the course of 3 days, we occasionally contacted about him showing up, but besides paying me lip services he has not. Make a long story short, I terminated the contact. If you have the time to play tag with him, may be he is the contractor you're looking for. Best of luck with your project. read more

Nate is a nice guy, but has a hard time keeping work schedule appointments. I had a rental whose landscaping had been neglected, so hired Nate to do the work, based on the good Yelp reviews. The weed and debris removal was fair, I had to point out areas that were not done well, which he did agreeably. The tree trimming was an experience - he just could not keep to his promised appointments. typically, he'd commit to arrive at 9am then show at 11:30. Or the evening before a promised day he would reschedule to another day. Once he stated 9am, then did not show up until 3pm or so, which would be ok except I needed to be there to discuss details so it affected my schedule. The tree trimming was maybe a 2 day job but lasted almost 10 days of a few hours and days here and there. read more

Nate did a great job of weed whacking and cutting back tree growth at a very reasonable price. Really nice guy who is honest, responsive, and hard working. Extra points for laboring in record breaking heat over two consecutive days! read more
