Nate did a great job with our yard clean up after a big remodel project that left our front and back yards covered with debris. He was easy to communicate with and did exactly what we talked about. I love that he texts because he let me know exactly when he was coming, and responded to questions really promptly. That's a big deal to me because I've worked with guys who are really hard to reach, you never know when they're coming, and you can't let them know if you want something else done. I hired Nate to prune an overgrown tree in my backyard. After we agreed on the price (pretty fair). He did the job that wasn't easy... tree was at least 20 feet tall. I had high hopes for the services of this company after reading all the positive reviews. But it just goes to show that reviews sometimes don't always show the proper picture. I called them last Thursday and spoke to Nate. I informed him that I needed some front yard work and would he come by and see the yard then call me for a quote. If the quote was acceptable, they he could do the work. He said he could come on Sunday to see the place then give me a call. Well, Sunday came and went with no call. I wanted to take out about 20 bushes that came with the house. They were all of the same species, and apparently the favorite food of a certain breed of caterpillar / moth. Caterpillar-cocoon-mageddon was the result. The plants were dying, and it was time for them to go. With a backyard party a week out, I found Nate on Yelp, and was able to get the work done before the big day. He was very responsive by text message, and was amiable and professional. It took him 3 hours to get it done (along with taking down a big stray branch off my plum tree, and taking out two extra bushes that had gotten too huge for their positioning at the sidewalk). He bid the project, rather than getting into a per-hour rate. I feel like, for the tough work involved, we reached a good price. Btw, he did half the work in pouring rain. Recommended. read more

Well, I really can't say anything about the service since I didn't get to use his service. This my story: My neighbor and I recently repaved our sidewalk because a root outgrowth from an old tree. It has created a huge bump on the sidewalk and increasingly dangerous for people to walk over it. When the city finally agreed to come by to fix the problem by taking out the tree and grind the roots out, it creates 2 piles of tree root debris and dirt which need to be taken away. I've contacted Nate for an estimate for removing them since he is a local contractor. (I've always try to use local people.) I've asked him to swing by and send him a couple of pictures in the process. In the course of 3 days, we occasionally contacted about him showing up, but besides paying me lip services he has not. Make a long story short, I terminated the contact. If you have the time to play tag with him, may be he is the contractor you're looking for. Best of luck with your project. read more

I called Nate over the holidays as I have a rental that was recently vacated and the previous tenants did not really maintain the yard for months. The weeds were overgrown, and tree branches were strewn all over. Piles of leaves remained in several parts of the garden. Since I was having an open house just before New Year, I was really not expecting anyone to show up at my rental. I called Nate, and texted him some photos of the yard to get a rough estimate. Nate is a nice guy, but has a hard time keeping work schedule appointments. I had a rental whose landscaping had been neglected, so hired Nate to do the work, based on the good Yelp reviews. The weed and debris removal was fair, I had to point out areas that were not done well, which he did agreeably. The tree trimming was an experience - he just could not keep to his promised appointments. typically, he'd commit to arrive at 9am then show at 11:30. Or the evening before a promised day he would reschedule to another day. Once he stated 9am, then did not show up until 3pm or so, which would be ok except I needed to be there to discuss details so it affected my schedule. The tree trimming was maybe a 2 day job but lasted almost 10 days of a few hours and days here and there. read more
