I'd heard so many good things about this place and finally made it out for weekend brunch. Definitely put your name in online ahead of time, I did it about two hours before and that was the move, especially during peak brunch hours on a weekend. The inside is really spacious and has a homey, comfortable feel to it. There's a bar section with seating when you first walk in. We ordered omelets and skillets and I cannot put into words how good that skillet was. Savory, perfectly seasoned, just an absolute 10 out of 10. Our waiter was also super friendly and talked us into trying the raspberry pancake with graham crackers on top. We were a little skeptical at first but wow, that ended up being one of the favorites. Tangy, sweet, fluffy and just perfectly done. Another 10 out of 10. The house lemonade is also fresh and so good, definitely get it. I completely understand the hype now and why this place is rated so highly. Just make sure you plan ahead and get your name in before you show up or you'll be waiting a while.

I can finally say I've been to hatch'd and I get the hype! This was our third attempt at brunch over a couple of years, but it is worth the wait. If you plan to go on a nice Saturday during a holiday weekend, consider joining the online waitlist about 90 minutes beforehand. As you might expect from the warning, hatch'd feels crowded when you first walk in (the host stand and bar seats just a few steps from the front door), but it has a historic South City charm once you move toward your seat. We were lucky enough to be seated on the second floor with exposed brick walls and ample table space for our group of four. As lively and active as hatch'd was, service was impressively prompt. The space between drinks and food was appreciated, as there's a lot of menu to explore. Something stands out for every palate, and even more for anyone as indecisive as me. Besides my regular black coffee (a breakfast requirement), I tried the Revolver, hatch'd's bourbon-and-Kahlua Old Fashioned. The coffee is a nice medium strength - not too bitter and great for refills, exactly what I want with breakfast; the Revolver was a delicious revelation (I guess I shouldn't be surprised that two of my personal favorites blend like chocolate and peanut butter). I landed on the Pikes Market omlette (with carmelized onions in place of red) and a side of Texican loaded hash rounds (topped with grilled jalapeno, onion, queso, pico de gallo, and cilantro). So much to appreciate on one plate: tender smoked salmon, salty feta, sweet caramelized onion, and crispy tots straight from the kithcen. Hatch'd served up a reminder why I rarely pass up breakfast food on any menu. My wife ordered the Drunken Leprechaun (a St. Patrick's Day-themed Blue Hawaiian) and Strawberry Basil French Toast. I personally prefer savory breakfast food (I'll always order an omlette over pancakes when given the choice), but the toast was very good and recommended if you prefer a sweeter meal to start the day. As busy as hatch'd was (and I imagine always is), we walked into the heart of the rush. After about 20 minutes or so, it was much easier for our group to hear and hold conversations. I feel comfortable speaking on behalf of everyone when I say we left pleasantly full and thinking about what's worth a try next time.

Just had breakfast at Hatch'd for the second time in a few months. We had Patrick as our server both times. He always takes care of us, does a fabulous job checking in, clearing the table and helping me put together a meal when I don't know exactly what to order. This is really appreciated especially since they were really busy today. The food was hot and fresh, the pancake wasn't t my vibe, more flat, a tinge sweeter than I like but still descent.the hash browns were cooked perfectly and some of the best I've had. The basil mint lemonade is really good. It's fresh and tasty. The grits are nice and creamy. I tried the pork belly which is smoked fresh. It was tender, a little salty, but flavorful. Unfortunately they don't have bbq sauce and the portion was a bit smaller than expected. That said. We look forward to going back!

This place has been on my list of places to try. I finally got the chance to go. My friend and I came here on our off day from work. We were able to get in right away and get seated. We sat at a high top table near the bar. This is a small restaurant that can be crowded during peak hours. If you go early in the morning, you should be able to get in without a wait. I ordered a sweet Sarah Mimosa and the strawberry basil French toast w/ a side of bacon and eggs. The food was absolutely phenomenal. The French toast weren't overly sweet, they had a slight crunch, all while still being soft and fluffy. The syrup wasn't overly sweet, and was nice and warm. The eggs were cooked to my liking (scrambled with cheese) and the bacon was nice and crispy, not salty. The sweet Sarah mimosa was flavorful with the perfect ratio of strawberry to champagne. Service was excellent. Our server gave us the perfect amount of time to browse the menu, got our drink and food orders in,and checked on us periodically. Pricing was reasonable. Parking can be a hassle as it's street parking. The residential areas fill up quickly and Main Street parking can be a hazard.

Great service as always! We love going here for special occasions or when, as in this case, family is visiting from out of town. We made our reservations through Yelp and everything went quickly and smoothly from there. Food was delicious and generous. Drinks were wonderful as well!

Truly the best breakfast experience we have ever had - we were seated quickly and out waitress was so friendly and helpful with my son's food allergies. The food was amazing - my husband got a skillet with grits and was impressed. It is super kid friendly with books in a basket by the entrance and someone came over with a horseshoe puzzle game which kept my eight year old occupied while we waited for our food. Such a cute space with lots of natural light and the nicest staff we have encountered on our trip so far! My croissant breakfast sandwich was perfect.

The best breakfast burrito I've ever had- probably my new favorite brunch! I came here for a birthday meal with friends during the holidays, so it was a bit crowded. However, we checked in on the waitlist on our way over, and we only had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated. (Given that the app told me we were 17th in line initially, I was worried it might take much longer.) The hostesses were very friendly and gave us an accurate estimate of the time it would take. We didn't even end up waiting long enough to order drinks at the bar, which would have been a great option had we been waiting longer. The food here is outstanding. There are so many choices, all with creative names ;) Our table ordered four different dishes, and everyone was satisfied! They all loved the Mary Moon, Bizzle & Grizzle, and Benny's Got Beef. My California King burrito was amazing- perfectly done scrambled eggs inside, bacon, hash browns smothered in queso, topped with their own fresh pico de gallo. I couldn't even finish the whole thing, and my husband loved the leftovers. Add bottomless mimosas, and your morning is made! I love the cozy local hole-in-the-wall vibes, with unique mugs all around. It all felt very authentic and homey. Parking is not easy here, but it helps to know that going in. Be prepared to circle the block a time or two for street parking. I promise it's worth it!

Solid breakfast dishes! I'm not a fan of the pancakes. They aren't fluffy and weirdly difficult to cut. The taste isn't bad but ehh. Their omelette and skillets are the way to go. Our waiter was nice but our food took well over 30 minutes to come out. This restaurant utilized the yelp waitlist which REALLY helps with timing and waiting at the restaurant. The waiting area is about 6 seats right at the door so knowing exactly how long and when to check in is a plus!

Hatch'd has quickly become my go-to brunch spot in the city. The food has creative names, delicious combinations, and is always served hot and fresh. Be prepared to wait on a table, as they get crowded on the weekends. But it's well worth the wait. Enjoy checking out all the various coffee mugs as decor. The staff are also friendly and will gladly share recommendations. Special shout-out to Josh and Mia for making our anniversary outing extra special. Pro tip: Order an omelette and sub your toast for a flavored pancake.

This place is a definite come back again! The customer service is amazing! We had Jordan as our server and his service was 10/10. To be honest the entire staff was excellent! The food was fantastic! The blueberry lemon pancake was great my kids had a smore waffle that was packed with flavor! The champagne pear pancake was delicious! It's a small intimate space where if you wanted you can talk to your table neighbor but provide the privacy if you needed it . They were showing old tv shows that provide nostalgia while eating ! ( price as right with bob barker was playing) all around it was a fantastic visit.

Very busy place on a Sunday brunch. Waiting list instead of reservations and keep you informed about your wait and time you can expect to be seated. Nice menu choices. Not overly unique but interesting plates and old standbys. Service was attentive , at first, but had a hard time following through with orders( two people in our party needed faster service than the rest of the group, ok'd, but dishes came out about the same time as the rest of our party). Quite a big place with upstairs seating. Comfy atmosphere.

Hatch'd is worth all of the hype! Parking is across the street which will have you running across gravois like a crazy lol but it's so worth it. I reccomend joining their waitlist because they are always busy. The California King is my absolute favorite thing to get here, especially because it's topped with their homemade pico. Hash rounds will always be my favorite side and I also enjoyed the biscuits and gravy as well. I'm usually not a breakfast person but Hatch'd changes that for me. This is the place I reccomend everyone for a delicious brunch! The vibes are cozy and family oriented. Every server I've had here has made us feel special and accommodated. The food I had was so good, I can't wait to come back and try something new.

We were overdue for a visit from the Illinois side. We had a small wait when we arrived, whi h we are always excited to see, because we know they are doing it right! We were sat quickly though. Again we love the artsy vibe here as I have said before. Service was fabulous as always. Josh came out and talked to us for a bit as well. They are so friendly here and truly take the time to get to know their customers no matter how busy they are! Food is delicious. My husband got the same thing as always the Nachostada. It is his absolute favorite. I went and tried something new. The Pastraomlette was awesome. It was loaded with meat and so good! Can't wait to go again

I sent emails, but he never responded. I called a week later and someone told me he was out of town. He should get an auto-response for his emails if he plans on leaving town. He also said he would have the space set up (tables and chairs arranged) the night before my event, but when I arrived that day he was still in the process of setting up. That took time away from decorating the room and setting up the food buffet. Be aware the table linens they offer are the size of table toppers and only hang down about 3 inches, so plan on ordering your own table clothes. Overall the space is nice and the price is reasonable, but the coordinator is not very organized.

Overall the experience we had with hosting our wedding reception at the Upstairs was quite good…read more I had been to a fantastic Yelp event at the Cheshire, where we got to tour and taste our way through all of the fantastic spots on the Cheshire property. I already knew the Upstairs was a gorgeous space with warm textured wooded walls and beautiful imported lighting fixtures. When we began the process of planning for our wedding reception, we were already staying at the Cheshire (taking a Brit to the British hotel when he's in town visiting is the way to make him feel at home, right?), already, so we decided to see if we could see the space as a possibility for our celebration. We had a few other ideas of locations, but we loved the Cheshire. It felt so right to us. The room is split into two distinct spaces. I requested that all of the guest tables (we had 60 guests) remain on the side of the room with the wood paneling, light fixtures and windows. The dance floor and DJ were set-up on the other side. The space would absolutely accommodate more guests, but it didn't seem ridiculous to have so few. They let us use their mirrored chargers and votives for the tables, and we brought in vases of flowers with our own table numbers on them. Originally, we were set to have our happy hour in the fireplace room, which is still on the second floor, but outside of the ballroom. When Lucy abruptly left, she was replaced by Karina, who very kindle advised us that the Red Room downstairs was not being used on the night of our event, so we had our cocktail hour and hors dourves downstairs. It was perfect because this meant we could easily stand near the door to greet the guests as they arrived, and then when it was time to go upstairs, it was a whole new venue. This allowed us to have our evening bar, place card table, gift table and even a selfie photo booth in the fireplace room. It was perfect. We set-up our cake on a table on the dance floor, which if I had to do it again, would have in the fireplace room or closer to the entry somehow, as many of our guests reportedly never say the cake prior to us going to cut it... and it was a gorgeous cake and deserved to be seen. I didn't enjoy the experience of working with Lucy, as I felt like she wasn't very friendly and didn't make us feel important at all. Working with Karina was much nicer. Because we live in London, and were finalising details from home, she went out of her way to set-up a Skype call to introduce herself and go over things. I have very few complaints about our event, but I had been told that the tables would be set the morning of the event or the day prior. To me, "set" meant that there would be linens, plates, glasses, and silverware on the tables. Chris and I picked up our cake and delivered it to the ballroom ourselves at 1:30pm. Nothing was set at all. The tables were in the room, but there weren't linens or anything else. I have to admit that I started to panic a teensy bit. We were told that we could come in at 3:00pm to set the centerpieces and our other pieces. We all had planned to do this and then go get ready at the hotel. Apparently the wrong colour linens had been delivered and were moments from arrival. I was assured that by 3:00pm, this would be rectified. We arrived to set everything up, and still nothing had been done. They said that no one would be there until 4:00pm to set-up. They asked what I wanted to happen, and I said that I needed the tablecloths to be on the table so we could get the center pieces arranged. They did that, and we set-up the cake table, selfie booth and the place card table in the meantime. They offered to let us leave the flowers and things for them to arrange, but of course I wanted us to do it. The second thing that bothered me was regarding the cake. When it was taken away and cut, they brought out random slices and strew them over the tables. I had anticipated that they would put them out so people could take a piece if they wished. This meant a lot of cake was wasted with people not eating it, or not being able to choose what was given to them. We had been looking forward to the strawberry cake for months. We were so busy that we left our plates on the table to join our friends. We had every intention of coming back to them. Our plates were cleared after I'd had two bites and Chris hadn't had even a taste. They also took the Champagne he'd been saving. In my opinion, we should have been asked if it was okay to do this. We did get the leftover cake sent home with us, but there wasn't any strawberry. I'm still sad about this weeks later. My third and final complaint is that all of the place cards were taken and disposed of. I had every intention of keeping ours for a scrapbook. At the end of the day, I would highly recommend this venue. Our guests were pleased with the staff, everyone was blown away by the food, the venue was beautiful and unique and it was an overall good experience.

The two men's room toilets had no door and no walls, respectively. One lady's room stall had a view into the kitchen. Most glaring, the in-house DJ was awful. Right after the first dance, he decided, without permission or even awareness from the newlyweds, to play some sort of elaborate military tribute. It colored the whole rest of the night, and not in a positive way. During the night, he just looked so upset to be there. At the end of the night, he chimed in to warn drivers away from a certain neighborhood in the area, claiming it was the "Ferguson of South County", a pretty clearly racist statement. If you rent this space, make sure the bathrooms are fixed first, and definitely bring your own DJ.

It was a beautiful table set with a very eclectic mix of dinnerware. Really cute. The tasting consisted of two appetizers, two salads, two entrees and two sides. Everything that we tasted was delicious. goat cheese and duxelles on toast, shrimp cocktail, chicken piccata, beef tenderloin, pasta with green peas and dill, green beans, mashed potatoes and wine. The chef who prepared the food brought it out and explained it all to us. Very impressive. The menu has a large variety of choices. If you are planning a wedding, the space includes a chapel, bride and groom dressing areas and a lounge upstairs. It is a very cool space. The people were super nice and explained everything to us. What a nice evening. Nestled in the cute Holly Hills neighborhood. I highly recommend!

I say this because the restaurant doesn't have the largest sign in front, and it's only open on Sundays from 9am-2pm. But when you finally visit, well, your taste buds will thank you. I've heard of Seed Sprout Spoon here and there but had never thought of visiting. My spouse and I were craving brunch one day (actually, we crave brunch everyday), so I started doing what I normally do, scroll through Yelp. Seed Sprout Spoon came up, and I looked more into it and realized it was only open on Sundays from 9am-2pm. Wait... it is Sunday and it's before 2pm! We can make it! We arrived around noon and the restaurant was quite busy. We ended up sharing a table a few other people, but that didn't bother me. I ordered the Egg in a Hole B.L.T., and my spouse had the quiche. It took quite awhile for our food to come, probably because it was really busy, but when it did, it was well worth the wait! The Egg in a Hole B.L.T. didn't just come with a fried egg. There's a egg IN THE BREAD! On both pieces! That's next level right there. I loved the brioche bread from Companion, with thick tomato slices, Patchwork bacon, and herb mayo. This sandwich was a work of art! If you love brunch, this is a definitely a place you HAVE to checkout! We'll be back to check out the other items!

It was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and honestly one of my favorite dishes from the trip. I also had a scallop dish that was just as good -- rich, well-seasoned, and beautifully prepared. On top of the food, they have a really strong wine selection, which made the experience even better. The overall vibe is polished and elevated without feeling too formal. Service was great, food came out on time, and everything felt intentional. Highly recommend if you're looking for a nice dinner spot in St. Louis.

They have a great cocktail menu but we opted for a bottle of wine instead. The waiter was super helpful in helping us pick out a nice red blend. We got the octopus as a starter, which I don't personally love octopus, but my friend thought it was the best in stl. I also got the apple dish, which was listed under the salads but the waiter was sure to explain it's not an actual salad. Since it wasn't a full salad I also got the soup. Both the apple dish and soup were really good. It's street parking but there's lots of spots in the area. The bathroom is super nice with hairspray and mints if needed. Nice place for a good meal.
