After Seed Sprout Spoon popped up on a list of recommended brunches to try in St.Louis, as well as being highly-rated among Yelpers, I knew I had to try it out one of these Sundays. Seed Sprout Spoon is a local business in Tower Grove offering sustainable event catering, farm-to-table catering, and an amazing Sunday Brunch. Brunch runs from 9am-2pm every Sunday, and features an ever-changing seasonal menu. I really appreciate their sustainable, farm-to-table approach when creating incredible food and drink. As a volunteer with a local non-profit called Second-Hen'd, I also really appreciate that they use local pastured chicken eggs, as they are the most humanely treated egg laying hens. Way to go! Walking in around 10am there was quite a crowd in this small, beautifully decorated establishment. There are menus right when you walk in the door, and specials are available written on chalkboards near the register. The counter service was friendly, and after ordering my husband and I were given a letter table marker and our Sage Blackberry Lemonades. All the tables inside were taken, but they do have ample, shaded seating outdoors on their patio. We opted to sit at the counter by the window though because it had beautiful light pouring in through the cream-colored curtains. Not too long after, our meals arrived. We both decided on the Big Breakfast consisting of two eggs, ham, two slices of bacon, fresh fruit, a homemade biscuit with butter and compote, and a choice of either grits or hash (we went with the curried hash - so good!). The eggs were cooked perfectly with nice, bright orange yolks. The ham was incredible! So much salty flavor and perfect to dip into the runny egg yolk! The bacon was wonderful as well. And that biscuit... You can tell it was made from scratch with its incredible layers of flaky buttery flavor! It made me glad we also ordered a half-order of their Biscuits and Gravy because one biscuit dish was not enough! I'm so glad St. Louis has Seed Sprout Spoon, and I can't wait to come again and again on Sundays! Thank you, Seed Sprout Spoon for an amazing brunch!

This is a cute little place. The breakfast was okay. I was not a fan of the grits but all in all okay. I would have liked a few more options but then I just like my breakfast plain and simple not complex. The omelette was huge but the biscuits and gravy were (in my opinion) a little overpriced. I did like the ambiance but felt stupid trying to figure out how to do it all. We walked in....wasn't sure if someone was going to help us or if we just go to the counter. No one said a word. Then the matter of coffee...it just seemed like the person at the counter didn't want to help us but when the next cute young couple came in they were all over them. I was anxious to try them but sadly, I won't be back.

Nice place to have brunch with relaxing atmosphere. I like my pork loin sandwich and my husband likes his omelette. This place is a bit pricey, but the portion is large. Making sure you checked if they have today's specials before placing the order. We saw it hiding on the small board at the corner, so did not get to order the chicken on the special menu. We would go back again.

This is a spot you should absolutely check out if you want a local neighborhood brunch spot! From what I've been told, Seed Sprout Spoon is a catering company, but opens on Sundays for people to come in and brunch. Interior/establishment - the space overall is quite small, with just enough room for no more than ten tables I'd say. Menus are on little clipboards that you'd find right by the front entrance, and you just go up and order at the register. The decor is very rustic and simple, but gives a very cozy atmosphere to be in. Service - the girl working at the register when I went was friendly and helpful, especially when I didn't know where to find the menu. She gave suggestions and what she liked which helped narrow some choices down for me and my friends. We had an issue with the coffee creamer being clumpy, but once we told one of the guys working there, he quickly took our coffees and the creamer that was sitting out and replaced it in a flash. He even gave us first dibs on using the new creamer he put out too after he refilled our cups for us! Super nice of him. Food! I ordered a half order of the biscuits and gravy, and for $6 it was absolutely worth it! The biscuit tasted fresh and wasn't too dry on the inside. The gravy is what made the dish so great though. It's your standard gravy base with chopped green onions and caramelized onions, and shredded cheese. There's huge chunks of sausage in there as well. The consistency overall was smooth, and the flavor was savory enough where it wasn't over-salted. Honestly I wish I ordered the full dish instead the half order. My friend got a breakfast burger that looked and smelled amazing, and she highly recommends it. Give this place a try, I don't think it would disappoint!

This place is fantastic! Since it's only open on Sundays, I only just tried it for the first time this weekend, even though it's been on my list. The atmosphere is so warm and charming. The dining room is cozy but they make it work! There are about 10 small tables and a bar along the front windows. There's also a patio if it doesn't happen to be 200 degrees out or if you like to sweat a lot while eating brunch. There's a small menu, but literally all of the items sounded delicious to me. The only reason I had an easy time deciding was because they had quiche as a special. You know I can't pass up quiche! All of the ingredients in their food are locally sourced, so kudos to them and yum for us! It took about 20-25 minutes for our food to arrive, but we did come at the height of brunch time, about 11:30 AM. They have a small kitchen, but it seemed pretty competent. I loved my quiche. The corn in it was like biting into tiny explosions of sweetness every once in a while. The cherry tomatoes and salad were all very fresh; it had a light balsamic dressing on it. It also came with a few pieces of fruit - the pineapple was especially sweet and ripe! My husband's egg in a hole BLT was amazing... you'll probably hear about it in his review. Overall, I would definitely come again so I can try other things. Their menu changes often, but I have no doubt whatever they make is delicious and top notch! Seed Sprout Spoon will be in my go to rotation of brunch places from now on!

Seed, Sprout, Spoon serves one of the best brunches in St. Louis. There are many vegan options, everything is sourced from local farms, and the menu items are crafted with unique and delicious style. They also offer a Bloody Mary bar and coffee/tea bar. You will not be disappointed by the ambiance of the space, the service, or the food that is set in front of you. Brunch service aside, we have worked with them for catering our wedding rehearsal dinner and wedding dinner. So far, we have been nothing but impressed and couldn't be more excited for them to deliver on our big wedding weekend! Make this place your next brunch spot, you won't be disappointed! The picture is the Omelette of the day and a cup of the vegan chili.

I've been wanting to come by Seed Sprout Spoon for brunch for awhile now. I finally had a Sunday in which I could make it and it did not disappoint. The unlimited coffee for $2, wonderful. My biscuits and gravy with Match meat sausage was excellent, and my boyfriend ate all of his burrito quickly so I'd say that's a good sign. Food came out quickly, staff was friendly, and found a table no issues. Will be returning!

St. Louis food culture will always be my favorite! KCMO girl at heart- but DAMN! Places like this win me over. I got the vegetarian slinger and my boyfriend got the cheddar herb biscuits and gravy! Both were very unique and both have an egg on top! The B&Gs were creamy with a little kick of heat (but I tried them and didn't really taste too much spice). The OJ is SUPERB! House coffee is bold! 10/10! The inside is also so cute :) will come again!!!

Seed Sprout Spoon was the best! Great food, ambiance, and service. I got the quiche, which came with a nice side salad, and also a Bloody Mary! The price to portion ratio was reasonable too. The restaurant wasn't too large, so plan accordingly if you have a big group. We enjoyed the outside patio, which had umbrellas to help with the sun. Overall, would go again!

Delicious & a nice variety of options for every diet. Only open on Sundays, though, but they do have a seasonal menu that changes each month. I ordered the waffles with lemon curd, fresh blueberries, and Missouri pecans - absolutely amazing! They definitely do not skimp on the lemon curd or drizzle of maple syrup. Would highly recommend getting there on the early side, as table space is limited inside and filled up quickly. They do have patio seating outside once it warms up, too!

This is a really calm and clean atmosphere smells delicious look yummy. Brunch is awesome and the limeade with gin is delightful!

5 starts for being great from beginning to end. Walked in. With the simple menu made it easy to choose from a variety of a few options. The service was quick and friendly. Quiet but not creepy. Everything was clean fresh and delightful. Loved it! We will be back!

Because our guests had a lot of food issues - gluten, nut and dairy it was a real challenge! Stephanie carefully curated a menu that hit all of our requirements. In addition, because we live out of town for most of the year, our decorations, holiday plates and whatnot were quite limited. Stephanie put my fears to rest by assuring me she'd take care of all the details. As the day of the party dawned, we had the place all cleaned up and ready. Stephanie and Mary arrived about an hour before the guests and set to work transforming our little place into a festive, inviting party spot. We had holiday cocktails and mocktails, delicious heavy appetizers and desserts that were out of this world. Stephanie literally thought of everything. All the food was labeled so our guests could choose foods that were best for their food sensitivities. At the end of the party they gathered everything up, helped set aside uneaten food for later consumption and left with very little for us to other than sweep the floor and fall into bed after a very fun and satisfying gathering of friends.
