The came from the Bay Area and wanted to try this place out. So we stopped one night for dinner. Service was terrible, we sat down and waited for 20min and had to ask for someone to take our order. While thr bartender and food servers were all just standing around giggling and mocking folks inside. We tried to.get their attention and nothing. Finally we got a gentleman's attention walking by, and he told us to give him a minuet, as if we inconvenienced him!!! We thought, "Are these people serious!". But he came back and we order. Long story short. The food was mediocre and not worth the price. Plus they added. 20% because our party was of 7 people, in which 3 were kids. SKIP THIS PLACE! Do yourself a favor.

I was traveling in Seattle and had a taste for Mexican food and this beautiful quaint upscale restaurant was having happy hour! The menu was inviting and the happy hour prices were making me do a happy dance. I tried a little of everything their ribs were succulent and seasoned well, the popcorn chicken was juicy and had a perfectly fried seasoned crispy crust. I would give them both an 8 out of 10. Their queso fondito was disappointing not much flavor I would not recommend ordering it. The star of the show were their Happy Hour Tacos!!! I had the steak tacos and they were everything you want in a taco. A perfect bite, juicy, flavorful, and tender. They also provided three different types of sauces that elevated the taco to another level. Hands down the taco is a 10 out of 10!!! Service was great and if I was in the area again I would definitely return specifically for their tacos and to try one of their cocktails from the bar.

We have been here several times and continue to come back! We are from New Mexico and this places brings all the flavors and eats of what we miss! The Green Chile Stew is to die for! Everything we have ever tried has been fantastic! The service has always been top notch and incredibly friendly and attentive! Always come here when in Seattle!

Great Vibes, came in a Saturday night, wasn't too busy, but the service was amazing, from the host to our server to the live musician, vibes were HIGH. They have an exclusive post 9pm CRUNCHWRAP, didn't try it, but got some solid drinks and brews. Cool little spot!

I went here on invitation of their holiday event which featured free food (taco bar) with drinks for purchase. This review lightly touches on the free food (not part of the rating) while emphasizing on the drinks which I purchased. As for the food, they had carnitas, rice, beans, enchiladas, fries, chips, salsa, and a variety of baked goods which are pretty good but definitely not at the level of true restaurant quality food as they pump out a large quantity of food to serve the crowd. The drinks we got were the Hot and Bothered Margarita and the Coquito. The margarita felt a bit watered down but still had the alcohol strength, with a very faint spicy kick. The tajin rim was extremely salty. I would skip this one. However, the Coquito was very good - sweet and creamy, and they said they had no eggnog in it but it tasted very much like eggnog! Service was good as it is as if there's dine in service during the event, but the cocktails are not all good, but the ones that are good definitely shine

Caught Hatch for HH and it was really pleasant! We came here on Sunday at like 5 and it was pretty quiet - to be expected. We were freaking ravenous and needed a drink however and their happy hour didn't disappoint. We got the birria, 3 tacos, popcorn chicken, Crunchwrap, and two prickly pear margs. It was solid HH food- not extremely mindblowing but very satisfying! In the end the total came out to 80 bucks (22% gratuity is automatically added). I was't blown away by the value but we had a great time and our server was spectacular! I would venture again for HH!

We stopped in here for a midafternoon meal and grateful for the timing and a nearly empty venue to relax a bit, but then disappointed by the volume of the music and extremely loud banging emanating from the kitchen area, apparently due to food prep? My tostada (Colorado option from the happy hour menu) was delicious and flavorful. Waitstaff was fantastic and helpful. Venue is lovely. Price is as expected. Location is easily accessible. Seating was comfortable for some in our party, depending on whether seated in a chair or on the bench side of the table for 6 and thus requiring scooting to the middle spot. We saw some longer tables for 8 to 10 diners with looooooong bench seating on one side, which would impact my beverage order, if you know what I mean? Haha

The server was friendly and the place is nice. It was late and we wanted steak so we came here because they're open late and are conveniently located close to the hotel we stayed in. The food and drinks were pretty mediocre.

Food was great, but the service wasn't. I'm not a fan of restaurants that automatically add gratuity it often feels like the effort drops, and unfortunately that was the case for us. Our server Samantha seemed disengaged, and the experience didn't match the quality of the food. It was not even a busy night, their were maybe 5 other tables in the restaurant. It was really offputting. The watermelon marg was to die for. No Notes The queso was odd, it was kind of a whipped gritty texture, not your normal queso The Christmas style burrito was good! For the price and the auto grat, I am not sure if I would be back considering our experience.

Came for brunch on a Saturday and there was no wait at all! The food was served pretty fast too, and the servers were cool. Everything came with a really large portion of food and we took home leftovers for each of our items. The black coffee was also pretty good. Not sure if it's bottomless though, as I didn't ask for a refill. They only serve the brunch menu on the weekends (until 3pm I believe). 1) Chips and salsa 5/5: Loved the flavor of the salsa, definitely had a kick to it. Loved how crunchy the chips were! 2) Chicken and corncakes 2.5/5: Really interesting take on chicken and waffles. I was craving something sweet and savory so this was the perfect item for that. The corncakes had a texture that resembled a fusion of cornbread and pancakes. There was a slight acidic flavor to it that I didn't really enjoy, not sure if it was from the chiles. The popcorn chicken was totally bland and flavorless, so you definitely need to dip it in salsa or ketchup. 3) Breakfast burrito with green salsa 3/5: Tasty fillings, but the salsa smothered on top was sort of congealed and thick... Overall, I found Hatch to be a great weekend brunch spot, especially for large groups. You can make reservations and it wasn't too busy to begin with. The bottomless mimosa deal of $35/person is not bad either. The food wasn't amazing, but guess that doesn't matter if you're focusing on the bottomless mimosas!

The food was amazing especially the Hatch brown tacos. It's fried potatoes and mild hatch chilis sitting on a cheesy sauce and topped with corn. The beans and rice were above average, and the watermelon salad had a bright freshness to it, especially where topped with cheese. The servers were helpful and kind. My only complaint was it was challenging for a short person like me to eat food at the bar due to the thick pad around the edge of the bar, I had to lean forward awkwardly and spilled a lot. I'd suggest choosing a table if you are planning to get food.

I've eaten here multiple times and cannot believe I haven't reviewed yet! I've enjoyed brunch, lunch and happy hour, and set up a work event at Hatch. I enjoy their tacos with rice and beans and food in general. We recently met family and friends for happy hour. HH food was great and I know the cocktails were a hit! A good time was had by all. Pretty great place! Clean, spacious, and excellent service. Love how they have a variety of entrees and accommodating to those with dietary restrictions. Made advance reservations for a group of 8 and they were able to seat us together. They do add a 20% surcharge inclusive of tips. They have awesome happy hour deals but sadly nothing specific for Thursday or Friday :( Their menu items were unique and delicious! -Mango Mama Mocktail ($11) Spiced Honey, Mango, and Love. It's some down home sweet heat 4/5 - spicy and not too sweet! (Substituted the base for a sparkling water rather than the mango puree) -Chips and Dips (V, GF, SP+) ($5 + $7 guac) Fresh corn chips and tomato salsa with guac 5/5 - Yummy! Came with hot queso. -Crab Flautas ($19.75) Blue Crab, corn salsa, tomatoes and green goddess dressing with three cheese flautas 4/5 - really unique! Zingy, sour, and a cheesy filling. A bit too sour maybe so try to opt for the lemon or zest on the side. Would come back to try their quesadillas, burritos, and tacos!!

Other people seem to like this place, so take or leave my review, but I was surprised at how bland it was. The food was so bland. It did not have any color or care to it. I got tacos. Everything on the plate was brown or grey. No colors. Did not feel like whoever cooked this cared anything about fresh cuisine or flavor It tasted like it came from the freezer. Also it was brought to me Luke warm. The beans and rice had no taste. Also the waitress made eye contact maybe twice. The ambiance was upbeat and bustling which was cool. And location is good. Two words. Bottomless. Brunch. I came with two friends at 11am on a Saturday and we were seated with champagne almost immediately. Three bottles and some delicious food later and we were making our giggly way back home. If you're looking for a drunk start to your morning, then look no further. As for food, they have a great variety of both American and Mexican breakfast options. The food was hearty which was very necessary to power through the mimosas. And they had some fun twists on breakfast staples like adding corn and hatch chilis to the biscuits and gravy. I also appreciated the salsas they provided, which allow you to adjust for heat to your liking. Mostly street parking in this area. You'll probably have to drive around a bit for a spot. This is an excellent Mexican fusion restaurant, located in Downtown Seattle. The vibe and atmosphere of this restaurant is very hip, and the staff are very outgoing, courteous and attentive. We tried several dishes and were pleased with all dishes; they were Mexican inspired with a unique flare. I highly recommend this restaurant, if you're in downtown Seattle. read more

Hatch Cantina is hands down one of the best spots in Seattle for authentic Mexican food with a modern twist. From the moment you step in, the welcoming atmosphere sets the tone for a memorable dining experience. The service is top-notch. The food is absolutely incredible. The tacos are a standout, crispy, flavorful, and packed with fresh ingredients. i highly recommend the carnitas and the pescado tacos. The quesadillas are another must-try, and the chips and guac are perfectly paired with a refreshing margarita that my family had. Speaking of drinks, the cocktails here are fantastic, especially the spicy margarita, which adds just the right kick. This is a really fun place on Saturdays when CZNS play here. It is a festive atmosphere with a bar area that features live music. This area is somewhat narrow, but there are about 6 or so tables along the windows, which might be garage or half garage doors that open in the summer, and then there are a couple of standing tables and seats at the bar. They have a great late night happy hour with discounted Margs. I like when the blood orange margs are on the menu. Their chips come with 3 different types of salsa's/oils that are really good. The staff, as well as the manager or owner, are all laid back and fun. Again, we really enjoy the duo CZNS that they bring in on Saturdays, who have really fun energy, and play a lot of 90's, 00's, 10's mashups. I can't vouch for the food yet, but could imagine stopping in sometime for brunch or dinner now that we have a good view of the place. read more

We've been to this place a few times now, the last time was literally four nights ago, but we had to come back tonight when we found out about their April Fools pop up! I HAD to try their Baja Blast Margarita! I was laughing too hard at the table standee during our meal not to. I laughed about it talking about it the last couple days! I just kept thinking about how funny the concept was of taking this particular fast food joint that claims to be Mexican, and redoing it in a genuinely good restaurant. And honestly? I am SO GLAD I made sure I did! I was warned the margarita might be a touch sweet, but especially considering the namesake, I thought it was seriously well balanced. The other cocktails were amazing as well, and I am willing to beg if they'll add all of them to the menu, but especially the Canela Cruise! The food was also amazing though! It genuinely made me think of that fast food, but it was so good at the same time! I was seriously impressed by how well they captured it, while also elevating it to actually be excellent restaurant quality. Just like the drinks, I REALLY want them to serve these again! ESPECIALLY the churros!! We got a second order with extra dulce de leche sauce, it was just too good! So sorry to hype up this pop up, for anyone reading, especially if they haven't made any of the items permanent fixtures yet, but this place is still worth it! And their brunch is also not one to be missed! You may not be able to make the April Fools, but you can still get incredible food! read more

Had a great experience at Hatch Cantina. Our daughter has celiac and they were super accommodating and knowledgeable. We enjoyed everything that we tried from the green chile cheese fries and carnitas tacos to her gluten free items such as the queso fondito and the pollo asada. Came in at 5:30 with 30 minutes to spare in HH! Admittedly, we only stayed for one round of drinks, but the prickly pear and mango HH margaritas we ordered were so refreshing! Sweet but not artificially syrup-y. The interior is really cute. Bright and clean with modern decor. The music was a tad loud, but everything else was great! Visited Hatch Cantina for a working lunch meeting and had a great experience! We went on a Monday, which is a bonus because I wasn't even aware that Mondays are all day happy hour. Score! Cute spot with lots of seating. Appreciate that they have wall plug-ins so that remote work is made easy here. Seems like most people know that secret, because there were lots of laptops out. Service was kind and food/drinks came out pretty quickly. I got the quesadilla with carnitas as well as the grapefruit aperol spritz. The quesadilla was tasty and the salsa it came with for dipping had great flavor. Loved the spritz, too! Nice and refreshing and a nice change from a mimosa (what I probably normally would've ordered). We also tried the Hatch Fries during the Bite of Seattle and those were also really good. Not sure if those are always on the menu, but if so, definitely recommend them! Also, they do bottomless mimosas with their weekend brunch, so... I'll be back. read more

Great place, great service, and great eats. Overall, the place itself is very cute, modern, and trendy. We were seated right away by one of the owners, Jason. He was very kind and welcoming. He even sat down with us to explain their speciality salsas, background of the restaurant and menu, and gave us recommendations. The food itself came out pretty quickly. The popcorn chicken was good. It was nice and crispy, but the ribs were definitely amazing. Incredibly tender and tasty. In fact, they make the ribs using peaches, so it has sweet notes to it. Definitely recommend the ribs as an appetizer. (FYI- they are HUGE). For entrees, we got the carnita tacos and the shredded beef tacos. They were packed with flavor. They both got a bit too oily, but nothing to complain much about. The food is good and the service makes it even better. Its a cool place in bell town to try out! read more

I've been wanting to try this place for a while, having family in New Mexico myself I wanted to see how true to the NM style the food was. Definitely NM inspired BUT nonetheless good! Some context, I came here with some out of town family on a busy Saturday night and our original dinner plans didn't pan out so we popped in here with our party of 7. Jason, one of the owners took it upon himself to ensure that our party got sat right away. Service was excellent and fast. Food I got. Gotta say that green chile stew was on point and had a good amount of heat! Delicious! I will come back just for a bowl of this stew, so yummy! The beer battered chile relleno was an interesting take on a chile relleno. Definitely not my family's chile relleno but that's okay! It was delicious! Like I said, New Mexico inspired! The beans were on point! Salsas that came with the meal were great. Ribs for the appetizers were fall off the bone tender and so so so good! Loved all the nods to New Mexico in the restaurant, especially with the riestras! Thank you Jason and staff for seating us on a busy Saturday night. We enjoyed it! read more

The drinks were ok, nothing special about them which is disappointing as this is a mexican restaurant so one would think the margaritas would be delicious. Ordered the carnitas burrito and it was very underwhelming although the portion size was great. Had to really add a lot of salsa to it to make it tasty. We were greeted and seated immediately for a lunch. They only service brunch on weekends until 3. Our server was friendly and checked on us frequently. She was flexible with us splitting the check so that was super appreciated. All three of us loved our meals, the favorite being the popcorn chicken and corn cakes. The chips and salsa were amazing! We had this place in our list for a long time and we went during happy hour. The drinks and food were a bit disappointing. The service was great the server helped us with the drinks order and we ordered a couple of skinny margaritas with chips and salsa. I felt the drinks were average and chips were store bought. Came in on a Saturday night just for drinks as this place looked the cleanest and safest. The vibes were great with a good playlist going on even though there were not much customers. Their interior decor is top notch and we really enjoyed the ambience! Crystal was our server and was very nice and friendly, and let us just enjoy the night with the few drinks we ordered. Definitely get a window seating! The people watching and activity going on outside was so fascinating with people zooming by on scooters we were having a blast watching haha! Drinks: Prickly Pear Cadillac Margarita $13 - fruity and tasty I'd order this again! Food was really good - my family is from New Mexico, and ever since moving out, I've missed good southwest cooking. This place did not disappoint and I loved seeing lots of familiar dishes on the menu. Between my husband and I, we had the house margarita, blood orange margarita, chips and salsa, carnitas tacos, and smothered beef burrito with "Christmas" chili (mix of green and red). Everything was delicious, service was great, and I'm excited to come back and try the sopapillas and other dishes. I don't understand the reviews on this place. Came in for dinner and honestly couldn't even finish the food: ordered Queso Fundido which was just runny white cheese and for some reason they added beans to it. Super boujee, modern Mexican restaurant that definitely fit a fun, dressy night out vibe! Stopped here while vacationing in Seattle. The food and margaritas were pretty good! The tacos (pictured below) were a bit greasy and soggy, so this made them less enjoyable. Chips and salsa were also extra and kinda of pricy which wasn't great news for starving people! Probably won't stop in again the next time I'm in Seattle just because I think there's lots of other options to check out. read more

I came back to give it another try and have to bump up my review. There were some hiccups the first time but all had been resolved by my second visit and I had a really great dining experience. Queso was nice and warm! Very rich and creamy in flavor, so yeah, good! mesquite steak was prepared differently and flavors were more balanced. Without all the richness I could really taste and enjoy the Smokey flavor of the steak. And when the owner recommends something, you gotta go for it - The verdict? chili cheese fries and beef tacos. So good, I'd say the tacos were my favorite. They also have sauces on each table, one is a chili oil that literally makes every dish 10x better. Don't skip out on that! I've always enjoyed anything hatch chile and was excited that this place opened in Belltown. It has a great location near lots of other bars and restaurants. The service here was great. We were able to meet the owner and he was very friendly. Our waiter was also very friendly and provided us with any information we asked for about our food. To drink, I ordered the blood orange margarita, which I thought tasted great. We ordered the chips and salsa to start. My husband and I both enjoyed the salsa. We also liked the 3 sauces that were already on the table too. For food, I ordered the red chili marinated chicken burrito. I ordered it "xmas style", which means it comes with the red and green chile sauce on top. For me, I liked the red chile sauce better because it was more flavorful. My husband ordered the green chili cheeseburger with fries. I enjoyed the french fries and dipped it in the chile from my burrito. The cheeseburger itself was okay. I waited a few weeks before I wrote this review. I wanted to ensure that my immediate reaction wasn't a major factor for this review. I went on Friday 9/9/22 around 730PM. The place was relatively busy, but not packed. I'd say a little less busy than most places nearby for a Friday night. Zero wait for a table of two at walk-in, which is where the positive experience ends. We ordered two drinks. They were wrong. Took 10min to get a replacement. Our server went behind the bar several times and made drinks. Seemed like they may have been understaffed or maybe it's just standard practice to have a bartender also serve tables (it took forever between visits). For food, we ordered a cup of green Chile soup, a southwest chicken salad with grilled chicken, and a chicken burrito Christmas style. When the food came out, a guy began just setting an entree in front of me. I politely said (before he completely sat it down) "that is hers" while I pointed across the table. He then proceeded to aggressively put all of the items on the table in no organized manner and dismissively stated "you can figure it out." Seriously? You just assumed that an entree was mine without asking and I try to correct it, so you get angry? The tables next to me were even bothered by it and questioned what his deal was. I told the server and she said the manager would be informed, but I'd assume the manager or the person running the house would have made it a point to us that it was unacceptable. Well, it gets worse. The food. The salad was beyond bland. Zero flavor. The chicken was "red" from a marinade but it had absolutely zero flavor. Not even salt. The worst part of the meal was the soup. It was beyond dense. It had the viscosity of a smoothie. Certainly thicker than something like a cream of mushroom soup. Once again, flavor was lacking. Had decent spice, but overall bland. The chicken burrito was also underwhelming. I mention this entree last for two reasons. 1) it contained the same bland dried out chicken. As if it was cooked, refrigerated, left on the counter for a few hours, then reheated in a microwave and added to a burrito. Awful. 2) the green sauce use to cover half of the burrito was the exact same thing as the "soup" mentioned above. Very, very odd. Actually, a third reason is that it was cold. The soup/sauce on my burrito had already coagulated upon arrival. Well, long review and I tried for a few weeks to let it slide. I've been to two other restaurants of similar food styles since this experience and it only confirmed how much I would avoid Hatch. Easily the worse $100 I've spent in Seattle and this place will not last very long if fundamental seasoning and customer service issues are not resolved. Note: I added two photos because that's all I took. One is the salad and the other is the "soup". Update 11/19/23: I met an "owner" last week at another spot. A guy, with glasses, maybe in his 40s. He was just as horrible as the experience I had at the restaurant. Belligerent. He told me "I hope you learn to be forgiving of places when they have only been open a few months" in such a condescending and belittling tone. It's my fault that the food and service were awful? Don't open if you're not ready. Refund me if you made a mistake. Don't talk down to me like I'm the problem. If you worked in any other industry, you'd be fired for not performing after a few months. Loved this place the first time I went. It's a tiny bit pricey, but worth it for what you get. The indoor/outdoor seating is perfect for a summer afternoon in Belltown. They have plenty of gluten free options for a fairly limited menu, and the food is really great. We all loved our margaritas. Had dinner here before a show not long ago. I was looking forward to it and it didn't quite live up, but it was a decent option and maybe would try it again if it was convenient. We shared the queso. It was so-so, so that was kind of a letdown but good enough. I had one of the entire salads. It was massive and I ate less than half, and it wasn't super memorable but also not bad. Service was also so-so and mainly she seemed annoyed by us and her job in general, so that is always kind of a killer for an experience. For our entrées, we ordered the Rigatoni Cacio e Pepe and the beef cheek, and both completely exceeded our expectations. They were hands down the best dishes of the night and some of the best we've had in a long time. Hats off to the chef's in the back! Between the beautiful atmosphere, live music, exceptional service, and unforgettable food, La Loba delivered on every aspect. We'll absolutely be back, and I can't recommend it enough

The atmosphere was warm and energetic, full of diners eating, drinking and enjoying conversation. After a quick scan of the menu, we quickly made our decision to order as many dishes as we could and share. We went for the beef tartare, Chinese scallion pancake, smoked tofu, kimchi trio, spicy rice cake, Chinese broccoli, "that" short rib steak, Kalbi burger, and the kombu cured mackerel. Everything was #brokedamout. The standouts to me were the scallion pancake, short rib, Kalbi burger and mackerel. Parking is available on the street and in private lots. The spice scale is definitely catered toward people who like less spicy food, so rest assured three or four is still fairly mild in spice. The quantity of the curry was actually quite small, however, the presentation was beautiful. It was also delicious in taste. Ambience: The restaurant is very ethnic and beautifully decorated. It is a great date spot. It's very clean, and food came out quickly. Service: Our server was incredibly professional and very polite. He gave great suggestions. I really appreciated that he went out of his way and got the spice jars for us to adjust the spice level of our food. No introduction, no recommendations, no plates cleared. When I asked for something as simple as pepper, I got attitude, like I was putting her out. I typically tip 25%. I left 15% and honestly felt that was generous for what I received. At these prices, the food needs to be executed properly and the service needs to match. The chowder alone isn't enough to carry a $60+ meal. Would I come back? Maybe for a cup of chowder at the bar. Not for the full experience.

We got both with tofu and vegetarian options. However, I am confident that with chicken or prawns it would be equally if not more delicious. Checked out Hatch Cantina during happy hour and really enjoyed the vibe! The margaritas were top tier! They were strong, flavorful, and well-balanced. Definitely the highlight of our visit. We also tried the queso, which had a slightly different texture than I'm used to, but still tasted great. For food, I ordered the chicken and cheese rolled tacos. Unfortunately, they were a little too cheese-heavy and light on the chicken, which was disappointing. My husband got the crunchy tacos and felt they were just okay. Nothing particularly stood out . That said, the happy hour prices made it worth a try. The staff was super friendly and attentive, and we sat at the bar which had a great atmosphere. I'd absolutely come back for the drinks and might give the main menu another shot next time. It seeing like a good spot to unwind and explore more of what they offer. read more

Amazing experience at Hatch. The queso was INCREDIBLE, the team was so fun, the playlist was and the owner was so welcoming and kind. They also have an awesome bar and great cocktails.
