Bavarian Pretzel Board
Navya V.

Definitely a nice place for a celebratory lunch or dinner with great views of the surrounding greenery. The mac n cheese dish was flavorful. The bavarian pretzel cheese board was a nice shareable appetizer , the pretzel was baked well. The risotto side tasted good. Their chicken entree dish was okay - would not get it again. The waitress was super nice and accommodated our large group!

Beautiful location on the Hotel Hershey campus, between the hotel and the lodge/cabins. We went off season, end of September and things were pretty quiet. Our service was excellent, the atmosphere is lovely and the glass light fixtures are stunning. The she crab soup was excellent, it had a slight texture of having been sitting for a while (we came at a weird afternoon time). We split a lobster Cobb which was outstanding, great dressing. I recommend getting your dressing on the side! We also had the autumn risotto which was good, a little sweet and oddly thick, too sticky. Overall things were delicious and I would come back for a special occasion.

I gave this restaurant a 3 star because of the nice atmosphere and very nice location behind the Hershey Hotel. The service was excellent also . The cuisine was a bit disappointingly average. We had the crab soup and it was just missing something. It did not have much crab and it was a bit thin. I had a tenderloin as the main course and it was really small. I'd guess maybe 4 ounces at most for a high price . The brussel sprouts side was very good. All and all, I am not really sure if I would to go back here. Too bad because it is such a great location and setup. Also a heads up. If the restaurant is crowded , there isn't enough parking nearby . We had to park quite a distance away in front of the hotel.

Everything was so good and our waitress was awesome. I got the crap soup and the trout, both delicious. Then for dessert the chocolate pie which did not disappoint. It was so beautiful in the restaurant to look out over the Easter

This is only a few places that need rsvp. We were 6 in the party. The place is very charming and it's very spacious. The food portions are very big! The meat is very well marinated and yummy!!! Service is nice and informative. We got their soup which is ok. The pork chop and steak are the best. It's very nice to treat the visitors and fancy place for a date.

My husband and I had reservations here for dinner during our stay at the Hotel Hershey. Harvest sits in a stand alone building behind the hotel itself very close to the outdoor swimming pool and outdoor patio area. It is not far from the "HH" shaped bushes that face two pergolas and dual reflecting pools. Inside I noticed that they have a billiard room near the main dining room. We were seated right away. I looked over the menu and noticed some of the vegetables used in some of the dishes were grown by students at the Milton Hershey school. We had a very pleasant waitress who made us feel welcome and gave us good service. Checking out the menu I saw they have vegetarian options some of which can be made vegan upon request. I went with the quinoa plate with fresh vegetables and grilled chicken. My husband had the fish and chips. Presentation of the food looked beautful and I loved the home grown tomatoes that were part of my dinner. The whole meal was quite filling to say the least. I sampled a piece of my husband's fish and chips and it was very good. Harvest offers beautiful views of the hotel grounds and has a nice atmosphere. Expect to pay more here because this restaurant is part of the Hotel Hershey complex which is Hershey's signature resort. I got an early birthday dessert compliments of the staff. A chocolate minature cupcake along with a Hershey's kiss. You can never go wrong with that. Day guests are welcome to park out front in the Hotel Hershey's parking lot.

I am sorry to say that this restaurant has not lived up to my expectations. I have dined here twice - once for lunch and once for dinner. In both instances, I have been disappointed. The food is mediocre at best and well below what I would expect for such a nice hotel. The food presentation could use some improvement. A bit of color on the plate would have helped with the presentation. As it was, everything seemed to blend together which was not visually appealing. The service was okay but could have been improved. For instance, the server never mentioned the 'specials' to me. I didn't realize these even existed until I overheard another server mentioning them to her customers. The decor was nice, but nothing special. I would have liked a bit more holiday decorations in the dining area.

Visited Harvest for dinner while attending my annual conference. This place never disappoints. The building is gorgeous and our server was top notch. The food was wonderful as always. I look forward to the next visit.

Harvest was great! (I only give 5 star to one of a kind places..most would give this a 5 star easy). We went for our 1st anniversary. Parking was easy, great view, good food. We actually had my brother with us so it was for 3 people. We ordered the BBQ platter for 2 and he had the steak. We also had the Bavarian pretzel and chips and dip. Everything was very good. It was not the best BBQ ever, but it was decent. They also acknowledged it anniversary with a cute plate of strawberries. We also got chocolate moose pie and PB moose pie. Desserts were amazing!

Harvest theme continues throughout this nicely desired restaurant.

Bottom Line: Cozy atmosphere with great service and tasty farm fresh fare. My husband and I had dinner at Harvest on a cold Saturday night while staying at The Hotel Hershey. We had a great experience. We should have made a reservation and didn't so we were lucky to score a cozy table in the bar area. Even though we got lucky, I definitely do recommend a reservation. We started with a beer and pomegranate martini and then progressed into our meal after noshing on complimentary bread. Instead of doing traditional entrees we both ordered a salad and then shared two sides. I had the warm roasted vegetable salad and my husband had the baby spinach and farro salad. Both were great and it I don't think you could go wrong with either. To indulge a bit we also shared sides of roasted brussel sprouts and macaroni and cheese. We were both super hungry when we arrived and both left totally stuffed but everything was so good! Aside from a few Hershey's minis on the way out, we skipped dessert. Service was great and we enjoyed the atmosphere including the architecture and harvest themed decor.

Very nice interior with lots of wood trim, bold bulky lodge type furnishings, and a beautiful stained glass ceiling. A bit impressive, relaxing and enjoyable. Hosts were friendly and quick. Our waitress was very efficient, nice, helpful. The food was presented well too. But for the price, a little more was expected. I feel it was general fare that one gets at any restaurant bar (and cheaper) that is (cooked prefrozen ingredients) simply assembled together, not cooked and created by a chef. I found the beef on the sandwich way too salty (which is often what frozen meats are like) and the lentil burger not anything like any burger at all (was more like a warm firm dip or side of beans). The mixed drink I ordered was good, basic, but a little light on the alcohol. Over all, the place is welcoming, clean and pleasant, but pricey for what offered.

Nice restaurant with good service. The Grilled filet of beef with spring onion cilantro purée was perfectly cooked however it lacked enough flavor. Something was missing. The Buttermilk mashed potatoes were tasty and well seasoned. Bread service for the table is an additional cost of $12. Ridiculous!

Restaurant Week feature: carrot cake torte.

We always enjoyed our experiences here. And during covid where safety precautions were in full effect, we'd especially like to support favorites. This review is for restaurant week 2020! We ordered an old fashioned and a Hershey signature chocolate martini where the aromatics were pretty consistent throughout. We both could say the same throughout our menu choices. Despite a country fried steak entree which was decadent upon presentation and tasted more pleasant than it sounded, my personal favorite had to be the hot cauliflower soup. For dessert, there were two choices between the torte and the chocolate cake. We had one of each. The torte had a beautiful presentation but was slightly dry even though it was still good. After a shared slice of the chocolate cake, I wish I had that! Service was amazing as usual and even gave me a free reusable very pretty mask in lieu of forgetting mine in my other bag at home!

A visit to the brewery provides fresh pours of the classics as well as a host of specialty brews (e.g., bourbon barrel-aged Mad Elf Grand Cru, which is nothing short of magical). Many of these brews are high-octane. Handily, Troegs also serves food - and it's not the typical compliment of fried bar nibbles. The menu offers a wide and changing variety of dishes of all sizes that are damn near gourmet (e.g., braised short rib, duck confit, crab lasagna). The Bavarian pretzels with beer cheese is an obvious must. And I like the way they do payment. After you sit down, a member of the wait staff will find you, take your name, credit card, and (first) beer order, after which you can just give your name to the bar or snack bar and they will add order(s) to your tab. Also, epic gift shop (that sells beer and all related things).

You give a credit card to your server and that opens the tab. You go to the "snack" counter to order but drinks are brought by a server. Water is self service. After you place your order you get an alarm square (like Panera) and then you pick up your food and silverware and water. Two of us ordered the BBQ brisket sandwich. It came with cole slaw and Bbq sauce and a side of fries. Dining partner really liked the brisket and said it was so tender. I asked for the bbq sauce on the side and I'm glad I did because it was a vinegar base sauce. I didn't like it at all. I found the brisket to be a little too fatty and not well seasoned. The slaw in the sandwich wasn't seasoned either. I was disappointed. Both of us thought the fries were meh. Not hot enough and not crispy. Mine were kind of soggy. Diner 3 got grilled cheese. It was a sandwich in thick bread and came with a side of marinara sauce. She said the sandwich was good. Diner 4 got the Mediterranean plate. Hummus, tabuli, zucchini fritters and tahini. She graciously offered me tastes. The tabuli was really good and the zucchini was prepared like felafel. They were ok. The pita triangles looked good. I didn't try anything else. The other diners all ordered sodas which came with twist off caps in small bottles. They liked the sodas. Overall, the food was ok. There is a gift shop with a variety of merchandise and lots of beer for sale. I asked if the beers and 'cocktails' were available as singles rather than 6 packs. And I was offered a taste. I chose the freaky fruity cherry limeade cocktail. It had too much of the taste of hops for me. The server said it's not made with hops but on the same equipment and although it was tasty, I couldn't get past the taste if hops. Not something I like. The place is nice looking, people were very nice, the menu just didn't work for me.

We are glad we finally did. 1762 was formerly known as The Warwick Hotel, and that's the prominent markings you'll see from the street. It is a really excellent spot on the square in Hummelstown with cozy charm and exceptional service. My companion was initially skeptical when she saw wine on tap but immediately changed her mind when she saw the offerings--good quality and reasonable price point. The beer selection is also good. Not a huge number of beers but well-selected. Although we didn't have a full meal we did enjoy the sausage and honey appetizer, which was outrageously tasty with sausage from a local butcher in Hershey. Service was efficient and friendly, especially considering the bar (where we sat) was hopping. We also met the owner, Dave, who rolled up his sleeves to assist at the bar while also personally greeting customers. Our biggest regret is that we waited so long to finally visit...and we'll definitely be back soon.

The appetizers were well worth the price and were served pretty quickly! I had the Ahi Tuna Nachos and my husband had the Kung Pao Brussel Sprouts. Both were delicious and the right amount for a heavy appetizer for a Sunday afternoon! To top it off, we also had some drink specials that included the Frosted Strawberry and draft Blue Moon. We topped off the afternoon with the recommended pineapple upside down cake and didn't turn back. It was decadent and the prefect size for two. The staff was pleasant, but I felt should have been more attentive for a sparse bar. The restaurant was unique in design and trendy, and had a nice flow of customers for a Sunday afternoon. Pretzel was great, I had a chicken pot pie which I though was ok, it was basically a chicken stew served with a puff pastry in there instead of the stew in a puff pastry, It tasted clean & light lacking body so I ordered a side of lime rice which worked for me. The star of this place is really their custom brews, I thigh think the food here is 4to 4 1/2 star but their brews make it a 5 star restaurant. Their birch beer & bourbon ginger are perfectly balanced flavor & refreshing & I also bought a bottle of their express Old Fashion to take home, 10/10 satisfaction. My girlfriend and I had looked forward for dinner…read moreat the Circular after friends of ours raved about it. First of all guidance from the entry the Hotel to the restaurant is confusing. The elevator was shoddy even though one floor up. We had reservations at 5pm. Guess what the restaurant doesn't open until 5pm. The Maitre D, said we open at 5pm, they didn't open until 5:05pm. We were the first couple. Restaurant entirely empty. the wait staff ranged from being snotty to neck tattoos to nose piercings and mouth piercings. the appetizer stated Lobster roll, it almost zero lobster and some shrimp mousse. Lobster bisque was mushroom soup with a itty bee piece of lobster. The entree Weygu steak was 2 little slices of beef that looked liked thick slices of roast beef. Bill was over 200 plus tip. Compared to Capital Grille in Maryland, The Circular was less than a 1 in food, food quantity, service and price. For a restaurant inside the Hershey hotel, I am surprised Milton Hershey didn't turn over in his grave that the Circular can't invest in full Lobsters and real Steaks..

It blew him away. First off, the service is phenomenal every single time. The staff here is on another level, attentive without hovering, endlessly professional, and somehow always two steps ahead of you. Drinks never hit empty, plates disappear before you even notice you're done, and they're constantly checking in with offerings. It feels luxe in the best, least-stuffy way. Now let's talk food... because wow. This is an upscale buffet-style brunch and absolutely everything was delicious. There were maybe one or two things that weren't our favorites, but nothing was poorly prepared or lacking. Highlights? * Prime rib - melt-in-your-mouth perfection. My #1. * Smoked salmon, plus oysters, clams, crab super fresh and flavorful. * Potstickers, lamb, salmon, beef bourguignon seriously, you can eat around the world in one room. * Desserts - tiny, dangerous, decadent little masterpieces. It's definitely on the pricier side... about $62 per person, so our total came to around $160 with tip for two. But truthfully? For the service, the quality, the variety, and the whole elevated experience, it's something I love to do every once in a while. A special-occasion splurge that actually feels worth it. A heads-up for planners: Brunch only runs on Sundays in December, and reservations go FAST. We called a day or two after it was announced and snagged one of the last spots for the entire month. If you want in, set an alarm. Overall? Amazing food, flawless service, festive atmosphere, and a great "once in a while" luxury experience. There are two of these in the area, we weren't quite sure which one to hit, so we opted for the one closer to our hotel in Hershey. We arrived just as they were opening at 11:00 am for lunch. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the bartender and the server. They were the only two working up front, but it was fine; our entire time there, only one other table came in (this was on a Friday). The inside was nice, and we were seated by a fire. The only gripe I have is that the chairs seemed to be the wrong size/height for the tables. But other than that, the place looked good. My wife ordered a beer flight with an assortment of sours and a wheat. I went for the Annville IPA Bold Cask. It was a really, really good beer. Smooth, fully-bodied, and with a good amount of hops. Plus, it's 9.8%, so if you ask me, that's a great way to start off a lunch! The beer flight was decent, but more my wife's thing. Now onto the food. There were a lot of great choices, and we were starving, so of course, everything looked good. We always order for our six-year-old first so they can eat while we relax. We ordered him the hot dog and tots. For our apps, we ordered the Tator Tot Nachos: house cheese sauce, fresh pico, scallions, jalapenos, cilantro lime sour cream, and chicken. And also the smoked wings with hot sauce. I'm always a fan of tator tots, maybe it's because I never had them as a kid, or they really are that good. But these were perfect on a cold day in central PA when you're hungry. The right amount of salt on the tots, crispy exterior and creamy inside, plus the toppings (I love fresh jalapeño). The wings were okay, but this was to be expected. They're smoked, and as much as I love smoked food, you never get the skin crispy (especially on wings). They had a slight smoke flavor and a good sauce, but I'm a "well done" wing guy, so these I would pass on next time. By the time we were going to order lunch, my wife realized she was already full, and we still had a decent amount of food left. So she just picked at the appetizers. I was getting there myself, but I wanted to try a burger. I ordered the Pub Burger: 8 oz, Cooper Sharp, red pepper-bacon jam, dill pickle aioli, lettuce, brioche, and fries (because who can resist more fried potatoes). It came out perfectly medium rare as I ordered and seasoned well. I was apprehensive about the red pepper-bacon jam; I'm not a fan of sweet, but in this case, it worked. It was a great burger (although I only ate a quarter of it). The service was good, and she was very personable and polite. But one thing that was strange. She was on the phone almost the entire time we were there with whom she said was the owner (or maybe a manager). We heard her discussing the reservations and large parties coming in. This was a long call, and while I know there wasn't a lot going on in the restaurant, we felt at times we needed something, and she was busy talking. I'm not blaming her; if it were the owner or manager, they should certainly know better and keep it short. But when she was there, she was great. All in all, a great recommendation from a friend that we are happy we stopped to try. We will be back again, maybe sooner than our annual trip to Hershey!
