Went here in like 2013 and it was the best locomoco ive ever had. Nice little ma and pa shop kinda a tinier place. The lady working when I went in 2013 gave us so much food and kept feeding us with stuff on the house Fast forward 13 years later I finally got it again! It was solid. Perfectly flavored rich gravy, perfect over easy eggs, and a crispy corned beef hash patty over rice. A perfect combo. Saturday February 21, 2026. We came here around 7:00am and parked right in front. You have to find street parking as there is no private parking lot? Service is friendly and fast. Harry's is one of the best breakfast spots in the area with huge portions and good food. Came here on a Sunday morning and street parked for free. It wasn't super crowded when we got there but the restaurant was completely full when we left around 10:30. I got the beef stew and blueberry pancake combo with the Portuguese sausage. The beef stew is definitely my favorite dish from here. The beef was super tender and so flavorful. There was the perfect amount of vegetables and other toppings with the beef. The blueberry pancakes are fluffy and massive. We were able to get portugese sausage instead of one of the meats listed on the menu. I loved the sweet savory combo of this! My breakfast was great! I invited a friend who is homeless and made sure he had a Christmas. They were packed this morning. We waited about five minutes to be seated. This is the place to go...like a diner, not too noisy. We both had corn beef hash, eggs, rice for me and hash browns for him. I asked for tea, but he wanted ice water. One of the customer watched as I had to get up and didn't get my green tea. I don't mind waiting to warm water up, but to stand up 20 minutes later and ask again, then wait again to warm water again. Harry's Cafe is located on the corner of Kamakee and Waimanu Streets, respectively, across from a self-storage facility. It's an old school diner that people who live and/or work around the establishment knows about for all the right reasons. Requested takeaway this Sunday morning and what screams Sunday brunch ( besides a buffet ) but steak and eggs. They have specials that change daily or weekly and I ordered the NY Steak and Eggs; asked for medium-rare and soft scrambled. Steak is not my favorite type of meat entree and the NY cut is not my preferred cut but it was fine...despite being more medium than medium-rare. Plate also came with a good portion of white rice along with the two eggs. Seasoning was restrained on the beef...and I enjoyed the meal. Reasonable prices, quick takeout service, and good food - a locals fave. I walked in and ordered takeway on both occasions. Previously, I had pot roast beef and eggs ( 2 )...but there was dashi added - I am guessing- to the easy over eggs. I don't care for seafood but it didn't stop me from finishing the meal...though I did enjoy it less. The pot roast was winnahs. I was up very early, and I saw this place online, so I decided to come in for breakfast. They must have a lot of business from the local workers, as Monday through Friday, they open at 5 AM. Came here for a big brunch before surfing later up at North shore. Man, I didn't know what to expect but these guys have some really great twists on Hawaiian classics! So when I take the E bus to downtown I noticed this place and always wanted to try it. I had a car recently and stopped by for breakfast. Found this hole in the wall on our trip to Honolulu and it became our breakfast spot each morning while we were there. The owner said that she's been in business for 30 years and they've perfected their menu. Parking is a bit difficult to find but of you are in walking distance or can get a rideshare this place is worth checking out. Huge pancakes, delicious omelets and your choice of white or fried rice with most meals. They cooked my wife's bacon perfectly on the first try and that is a tall feat. Went there a few weeks ago on vacation my first time and found this hole in the wall. It's a must try if you are new to the area. Great customer service very friendly and felt the hospitality vibe like a home cooked meal. The cook even came out to ask if we needed our coffee refilled. I was in town early and wanted to grab some breakfast. The place I always used to go for lupchong fried rice didn't open for another half an hour so I looked on yelp for another place to eat that was close by and found Harry's Cafe. Driving by the small parking lot was full but I spotted an open stall across the street. 50 cents later I was entering a cozy little old school diner. Very old but looked clean and well kept. I glanced up at the menu board and was surprised to see breakfast specials for a very reasonable price of $8.50. There were a few other patrons and it kinda looked like a seat yourself kind of deal so I made my way into the restaurant and headed towards a table in the back. A waitress came out and smiled and nodded towards the table I was headed to. There was a bigger wall menu behind me but I saw higher prices so I was already fixated on the $8.50 breakfast and didn't look too hard. Coffee was offered which I gladly accepted even though I already had a big mug full at home, and I gave my choice of the breakfast special which I chose spam, eggs o/e and it comes with fried rice. No, I don't eat a lot of spam because of health issues but hey, gotta enjoy life too. The coffee was good and the food came out about 15 minutes later. The bus guy, an older Filipino man was super smiley and warmed up my coffee. Spam is spam, the o/e eggs were good, the fried rice was okay though I do think the one at the other restaurant or even my own is better. For the price, it was fine. When I was done, I had about 5 minutes left on my meter and the bus guy saw me sitting there with my money out and very nicely instructed me to go up to the counter to pay. The tab came out to $12 and some change and I was a little surprised at first but then I remembered my coffee. Damn, I'm glad I refilled it for a $4 cup of coffee. LOL. Will I go back? The sign and Yelp both said they open at 5am. Fortunately the owner, a friendly Korean lady, was inside and let me in. First customer of the day! She stated that these days they open around 5:30am due to employment issues. Totally understandable and she was kind enough to open for me and make our orders right away. Mink originally wanted their Pork Adobo Omelette but that's a daily special which wasn't offered the day I went. They did offer the Beef Stew Omelette so she asked me to order that. I ordered their 2-2-2 with eggs over easy and a side Homemade Corned Beef Hash. She didn't take long to whip up our order and the plates were huge! Portions are generous and the food smelled amazing. The restaurant is clean and has several tables along with counter seating with stools. We opted to get take out so we could eat comfortably at home and pass out after.
