Went here in like 2013 and it was the best locomoco ive ever had. Nice little ma and pa shop kinda a tinier place. The lady working when I went in 2013 gave us so much food and kept feeding us with stuff on the house Fast forward 13 years later I finally got it again! It was solid. Perfectly flavored rich gravy, perfect over easy eggs, and a crispy corned beef hash patty over rice. A perfect combo. I think I'd add a side of hamburger meat next time or sausage to this as I wish it had a bit more meat.. but those first few bites made the 13 years of waiting worth it. Can't wait to go back and try other things on this menu!
Saturday February 21, 2026. We came here around 7:00am and parked right in front. You have to find street parking as there is no private parking lot? Service is friendly and fast. We ordered and the food came out shortly right after. Food was good. Ambiance is casual and comfortable in here. It started to get busy as we were leaving to go to a seminar at the Ala Moana Hotel. I remember this place as having the 99 cents breakfast a very, very long time ago. Support local businesses.
My breakfast was great! I invited a friend who is homeless and made sure he had a Christmas. They were packed this morning. We waited about five minutes to be seated. This is the place to go...like a diner, not too noisy. We both had corn beef hash, eggs, rice for me and hash browns for him. I asked for tea, but he wanted ice water. One of the customer watched as I had to get up and didn't get my green tea. I don't mind waiting to warm water up, but to stand up 20 minutes later and ask again, then wait again to warm water again. The waitress kept in the back and I had to wait again to see when she came out again. The lady customer came up on me and went into the kitchen and spoke! I was surprised and must have been the owner or relative! I got a box to take my food with me. They are very generous with the food and tasty...that's why I gave them 5 stars! I can deal with that waitress next time.
Harry's is one of the best breakfast spots in the area with huge portions and good food. Came here on a Sunday morning and street parked for free. It wasn't super crowded when we got there but the restaurant was completely full when we left around 10:30. I got the beef stew and blueberry pancake combo with the Portuguese sausage. The beef stew is definitely my favorite dish from here. The beef was super tender and so flavorful. There was the perfect amount of vegetables and other toppings with the beef. The blueberry pancakes are fluffy and massive. We were able to get portugese sausage instead of one of the meats listed on the menu. I loved the sweet savory combo of this! The service here is always energetic and friendly, and the food is awesome! Definitely recommend coming here for a delicious breakfast!
Went there for breakfast, because they have a wide variety of menu items. I ordered the spicy pork and a coffee, the spicy pork was good and wasn't that spicy. My wife ordered the bacon crispy with scrambled egg and rice. Which the bacon was very good. The coffee was tasty and the service was great and friendly. Parking is a problem mostly street parking, they have a small area.

What a wonderful hidden gem! This little hole-in-the-wall is tucked away on the corner of Waimanu Street and Kamakee Street. It's owned by the sweetest Korean woman, Christy, with the help of her assistant, Greg, and they make you feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious--comfort food at its best, just like a home-cooked meal. My friend ordered one of the breakfast specials with fried rice, eggs, Portuguese sausage, and hash browns for just a little over $8. What an incredible value! I had the corned beef hash loco moco. It was a bit more expensive, but the portion was enormous--I couldn't even finish it! The homemade gravy and corned beef hash were outstanding and really made the dish special. The restaurant itself is simple and unpretentious, with a nostalgic charm that takes you back to the good old days. If you're looking for fancy décor, this isn't it. But if you're looking for delicious, homemade food served with genuine kindness, you won't be disappointed. We'll definitely be back!
Harry's Cafe is located on the corner of Kamakee and Waimanu Streets, respectively, across from a self-storage facility. It's an old school diner that people who live and/or work around the establishment knows about for all the right reasons. Requested takeaway this Sunday morning and what screams Sunday brunch ( besides a buffet ) but steak and eggs. They have specials that change daily or weekly and I ordered the NY Steak and Eggs; asked for medium-rare and soft scrambled. Steak is not my favorite type of meat entree and the NY cut is not my preferred cut but it was fine...despite being more medium than medium-rare. Plate also came with a good portion of white rice along with the two eggs. Seasoning was restrained on the beef...and I enjoyed the meal. Reasonable prices, quick takeout service, and good food - a locals fave. I walked in and ordered takeway on both occasions. Previously, I had pot roast beef and eggs ( 2 )...but there was dashi added - I am guessing- to the easy over eggs. I don't care for seafood but it didn't stop me from finishing the meal...though I did enjoy it less. The pot roast was winnahs. Parking is tough...there is metered street parking but it is not always easy to find. Hours are from 600a till 1200p; on Sundays it is 0700a to 12 noon.
Harry's is an adorable hole in the wall diner that was delicious for breakfast. Definitely a local crowd comes here. We split a Deluxe and an order of pancakes and it was the perfect order to try a little of everything. Breakfast fried rice is the side I never knew I needed, it was so good - maybe my favorite thing. They used mismatched dinnerware and one of the dishes came on a plate my grandma used to have, added to my overall love of this place.
TLDR: just go and get a classic hawaiian breakfast. Service: immediately greeted by friendly staff. We got asked if we wanted coffee before we even sat down. They were so patient and friendly as we were deciding what we wanted to order. She gave us recs. And once decided they went above and beyond to split the plate for us without us even asking. Intuitive staff that know service. Food: we got the loco moco corned beef and hash eggs sunny side up with fried rice. Wow. It was so good!! They nailed that dish. The rice was so flavorful and the gravy was fantastic eggs perfectly cooked. We loved it. Ambiance: very low key diner style but you feel like you're at someone's kitchen. Authentic experience, which is what you're looking for when you're traveling. If you're wondering whether to go or not, GO!

We got the last one because they sold out of the fried rice. -Mini Smoked Sausages with Eggs and Rice: very delicious and simple! Corned Beef Loco Moco: This dish was a bit too salty for me, but some people in my group loved it. The beef was very tender. -Beef Stew: I loved this one! The stew was flavorful! Overall this is a great place of you want a local vibe with not wait!
I was up very early, and I saw this place online, so I decided to come in for breakfast. They must have a lot of business from the local workers, as Monday through Friday, they open at 5 AM. Street parking can be tricky. I was able to get a spot on the street. I come in, and it's like a funky little coffee shop vibe. . The lady was very friendly. They have a big menu, including a lot of local items. I decided to try the corned beef hash Loco moco. Dear Lord, the thing was huge! There was a big portion of tender rice, and the corned beef hash, also a big portion, was tender and delicious. The eggs were perfectly over easy, and while I thought the gravy was a bit salty for my personal taste, , I know that everybody is different. It was still savory and delicious. I had never had this version of the classic loco moco, , and I really really enjoyed it. The coffee was also very good and she kept my cup full. For this amazing meal, the price was absolutely amazing. I hope to come back either before I go home, or the next time I'm in town. Thank you.
Decided to swing by Harry's after morning practice at Magic Island. Hadn't been there since Covid days...What really stood out was the laidback atmosphere and the smiles of the ladies..reminded me of the neighborhood diners back In Japan everyone was like family. The food was great. Had to take home half as cannot eat as much now days. Able to enjoy a leisurely and pleasant Sunday breakfast.

The ambiance here is old school diner vibes, with better food! The service was friendly and attentive without being hovering. I had the corned beef hash, home fries, and two eggs over easy. The hash flavorful and fried perfectly, hash browns were plentiful with a crispy char. The eggs were PERFECT over easy... whites cooked, yolks runny. Coffee was good. Ordered 2 BLTs to go. I'll be a regular here as I now live in the neighborhood. read more

First time coming to Harry's Cafe, as i was craving some breakfast food and noticed that Harry's was right in the corner. It reminded me of one of those old school diners, service is great! You walk in and seat yourself at a table, they ask if you want any coffee. Menu's are on their wall and they have a sign up front with their current specials. I just wanted something simple: Portuguese sausage with 2 eggs and fried rice. I also got a single Banana Pancake. The food came out quick and they didn't skimp out on the portions! They gave good portions for a good price! The star of the show for me was the Banana pancake. It was soo fluffy and delicious. I can't wait to come back here again! read more

While in Honolulu, wanted that blue collar breakfast. Where everyone knows your name. I found it! Had the traditional bacon and eggs. Just like Grandma use to make it. Love the old school feel of this place. I'll be back. read more
Came here for a big brunch before surfing later up at North shore. Man, I didn't know what to expect but these guys have some really great twists on Hawaiian classics! I ordered the corn beef loco moco, which is exactly what it sounds like. The corn beef hash was incredibly flavorful and the eggs were perfect, I love the herby touch too (I think it was chives). The restaurant has plenty of seating inside and feels kind of like a classic diner. You even get free coffee refills, which I got plenty of because service is super attentive. The owner seems like a sweet lady too and was chill to talk to. Overall, great breakfast/brunch spot in Ala Moana! read more

So when I take the E bus to downtown I noticed this place and always wanted to try it. I had a car recently and stopped by for breakfast. Wow, so many delicious sounding options on the menu but I just choose the two pancakes, two egg, bacon w/a side of toast. I wanted the banana pancakes but was told out of bananas only blueberry. What? How can you run out of bananas in Hawaii? Plus, Whole Foods is just down the street, c'mon! Anyway, pancakes were huge and full of blueberries. Eggs and bacon perfectly cooked. I could only eat one pancake so big but ono! Service was very friendly local style. Looking forward to trying the omelets and corned beef loco moco read more

This place harkens back to the old type of diners. Old school ambiance that I appreciate. Reminds me of simpler times, for sure. The owner Cathy was SO friendly and helpful! The food was filling! My luncheon meat and fried rice breakfast was delicious. My wifes corned beef hash had actual shredded corned beef! Not the canned stuff. It was definitely a pleasant and enjoyable experience for us. Highly recommend Harrys! read more

I want to share my follow-up, second chance experiences. I went back one more time after my first visit and had completely different experiences. The food was Ono, and the service was provided with Aloha. So I went back a third time, and everything could not have been better. I've been back a bunch more times since. I don't know what happened the first time, but like in life, we all get second chances, and I am so happy I went back for the second chance. It's one of my top local spots now! read more

Omelette and white rice was very good. The pancakes were cartoonishly big. When they came to the table our mouths were wide open lol. So be careful they aren't a small stack. Service was great. It definitely was a mom and pop shop. read more
Good to see this place is still around Harry's Cafe . The home of the 99cents breakfast back in the day not anymore lol I order easy over eggs and Portuguese sausage and it was not bad price $10.50 Mon-Fri it's only $7.50 breakfast special before 8:00am. Since it was a Sunday I paid there regular price . Friendly service and lots of inside dinning table you don't realize from outside it looks like a small corner restaurant. For over two decades, Harry's Cafe has been an iconic breakfast and local food place that has been servicing the community. In the 90s, Christy Cho at Harry's Cafe was known for her 0.99 cents breakfast. Fast forward to the current date, Harry's still provides a cheap breakfast special menu, Monday to Friday, from 5am to 8am for $7.50. After 8 a.m., it will be $13.50. I've passed by Harry's Cafe since they offered their $0.99 breakfast way back in the day but I never stopped by. They have been around 30 years so it's been ages. Their breakfast special was such a good deal that you think the Chinese in me would have made it a point to go. Others also raved about the restaurant as well. Since I rarely eat breakfast, I just never came around to it. Fast forward to Oct 2023 as we just got back from Asia. Jet lagged, hungry and nothing open, we saw that Harry's Cafe would be open at 5am so I went to finally try out them out. When I arrived around 5:15am, the restaurant wasn't open yet. The sign and Yelp both said they open at 5am. Fortunately the owner, a friendly Korean lady, was inside and let me in. First customer of the day! She stated that these days they open around 5:30am due to employment issues. Totally understandable and she was kind enough to open for me and make our orders right away. Mink originally wanted their Pork Adobo Omelette but that's a daily special which wasn't offered the day I went. They did offer the Beef Stew Omelette so she asked me to order that. I ordered their 2-2-2 with eggs over easy and a side Homemade Corned Beef Hash. She didn't take long to whip up our order and the plates were huge! Portions are generous and the food smelled amazing. The restaurant is clean and has several tables along with counter seating with stools. We opted to get take out so we could eat comfortably at home and pass out after. Mink really enjoyed her Beef Stew Omelette and said it was delicious. I thought my order was great. It had variety and the side order of Homemade Corned Beef Hash complimented the 2-2-2 perfectly. Solid restaurant and I'm so happy I finally got to check them out. read more
