Our server was great! The Portuguese Benedict was delicious. The Morey's Fried Rice was just okay. Corn and spinach was an interesting twist, but it did not wow me. Coffee was just alright. My main issue was the birds. They ate my pancakes while I stepped away to ask for something and kept coming back to my table, which was really annoying. I wish I got to enjoy my pancakes some more.

Location: It is close by Kapiolani Park and there is parking next to the restaurant but it is small. Service: I think it was average, but there was a pitcher of water on the table. It was busy so understandable. Food: Maki x Cafe Morey: the plate was a big size and Açai on the side. BBQ Chicken: Pretty average French toast: Had a lot of custard flavor. I would recommend coming here. But, there might be a wait depending on what time you go.

The breakfast here was very good. We had the Maki Special plate which included fried rice, garlic shrimp, one egg, and an acai/fruit bowl. All was tasty but for $25 the portions were not as much as expected, maybe at least another egg. We also had the lilikoi (passion fruit) cream with pineapple pancakes. Pancakes were very fluffy and cream topping sweet and a bit tangy. Again, very tasty but $22 seems a bit pricey. The atmosphere is nice. Open air, cafe vibe in a nice neighborhood. Also, very comfortable to sit and enjoy a relaxing breakfast and beverage. The service was good however, I did have to flag someone to get a refill on my coffee. Parking can be a little tough. They have a small lot and street parking can be challenging due to all the other businesses in the area. Overall, we enjoyed our breakfast and would probably come back again.

Dare I say it's one of the best fried rice on the island? I love coming here for their signature Morey's fried rice and will either get the Portuguese sausage or garlic shrimp add on. My husband ordered the scrambled egg plate that comes with a side salad, 2 hash browns, and pancakes. There was a waitlist but we got seated almost immediately. It's a cute little place. I haven't been here in a while but the food was just as good as I remember it. There's a small lot on the side of the restaurant but it's a shared lot with the yoga studio so parking is pretty full. You can find parking in the nearby residential area and walk to the restaurant.

We are always looking for dog friendly options and this place is so great! It's open air dining, and very spacious. They are so accommodating to dogs - we had two with us, and they brought two bowls of water for them. The food was very tasty. We actually ordered 4 fried rice plates, and they were so good. I loved that you can customize the fried rice by asking not to include certain vegetables or ingredients. It was full and there was a short line. We will definitely be back! Again and again!

Had coffee and a fried rice and garlic shrimp with scramble eggs . Taste ok . Fried rice with Japanese rice mushroom . A bit too oily and heavy . Service is very good and friendly .

We were leaving the Saturday Farmer's market nearby and wanted to have a nice sit down breakfast. The restaurant is open and airy. I normally research for gluten free options but figured we could try this place. They weren't very many gluten free options. I ended up getting the mixed fruit chia açaí bowl. Cost was $16 My husband got the kimchi fried rice cost was $15.50 and scrambled eggs was an extra $3.95. We agreed our meals were equally average and pricey. The service was ok. Server seemed annoyed when I asked about gluten friendly options. The menu was labeled with gluten free options but I just wanted to be sure.

Great access to this place, there is street parking and a small lot behind the building. Coffee is ok. Maki plate has a little bit of everything so it's a great deal. Very filling. It was a solid meal. Fried rice was seasoned well, eggs. Garlic shrimp was garlicky, large size. Açaí bowl was basically frozen so great for hot days. The fruits on top were so sweet and yummy. Overall a solid meal if you're looking for something in the area.

A cute hidden gem I found when I took the wrong turn heading back to Waikīkī. I've been on Monsarrat Avenue before but I don't recall seeing Cafe Morey's. The restaurant is painted with bright yellow, pink, teal colors. It's nice, fun with a cheery vibes. As soon as we entered, we were greeted and pointed to an empty table for 2. I'm happy it wasn't by the open window. It was a little windy and a couple of birds flew in. The arrangement is pretty open. It's casual and it feels like very touristy. It's close to diamond head and Waikiki. My friend ordered Morey's breakfast plate. He got scrambled eggs, Portuguese sausage, hash browns, pancakes, and mixed fresh fruits. It's a typical breakfast plate but the fruits on the side added a refreshing touch! I love fruits. It had papaya, pineapple, orange, banana, strawberry and blueberry. He also tried their vanilla freeze. There was hardly any taste of coffee but the vanilla was definitely all over it. I got Morey's breakfast plate. I got over medium eggs, crispy bacon, hash browns, baguette French toast, side order spam and mixed fresh fruits. I also tried their café mocha. It's light with flavors but it's not bad. We're not sure if our server was Pani but one of the waitress said she was new and was not sure of her name. She was nowhere to be found on our way to check out. She checked in on us a few times to see how we were doing. Thank you, Pani :) She was friendly, nice and attentive. They give you the bill and you walk up the counter to pay. Come and check them out. There's a few spots of stalls you can park, maybe 3-4 stalls. Otherwise you'll have to find parking on the street. They are open Wednesday to Monday from 8:00 to 1:00 pm and close on Tuesday. Thank you for reading my review. Have a great week!

Haupia Cream w/Banana & Mac Nut (nuts on the side)
    Rae ..

My first time here and it was delicious! I had the Haupia cream w/ Banana & Mac Nut (nuts on the side) "Famous" pancakes. Loved it! So light, airy and fluffy...and the Haupia cream was delicious. The banana brûlée on top was just as delicious. My cousin had the Morey's Breakfast plate that she enjoyed too. We also had the Coconut Lemonade Frozen. Just the right amount of tartness and a touch of coconut on the back end. Yummy! I ended up taking half of my pancakes home and shared it for dessert after dinner. The Staff were all smiling, sending out happy vibes. Everyone we encountered was helpful and nice. Service was quick and courteous. We sat at the counter looking out to Monsarrat. Beautiful breezes flowed through the huge open windows while we were eating and talking. Relaxing atmosphere and delicious food!

Cute little restaurant. Very clean and the server was very sweet and friendly. I appreciated that I got a jar of water because it was a hot day. I wanted a little of everything and couldn't decide but I loved that my order came with a small açaí bowl, some garlic shrimp, eggs and delicious rice. It was just right. I will definitely eat there again next time I'm in the area.

Couldn't use it to absorb yolk. Bummer. Lilikoi pancakes were good, not too sweet. As for the service, it was ok but the waiter was kind of a jerk. It's a small, but very kitschy little dining room that fits at most 20 tables so definitely go early or pack your patience as you wait for an opening. However, the service is fast, but friendly and they are able to turn the tables with extreme proficiency and also making you feel welcomed. The items to get at Aloha Kitchen are its souffle pancakes and loco moco. The souffle pancakes is essentially the size of the plate that it came on, but because of the airness and lightness of it's execution, you leave feeling full but not weighted down by normal carbs. The recommendation is the coconut macadamia nut pancake with its unique combination of flavor and textures. The other local item is their loco moco. Get it in its tradition form with the hamburger patty with an egg over easy, but add the spam fried rice over the white rice. The combination of flavors along with its terrific gravy makes this a can't miss item on your stay in Hawaii. The one thing to be aware of is, the will announce the name quickly and only a few times and if you're not present after the first few announcements, you'll be marked as a "no show" and will have to go back to the end of the line, so definitely wait out front if you're there any later than opening. Otherwise, in a sea of numerous breakfast spots in Waikiki, Aloha Kitchen really does stand out. I only wish they had a bigger space, but wonder if that would take away from the charm of this space.

It is also the best thing I have had on my one-week trip to Hawaii. Let me start by saying I visited this place two years ago and made it my mission to come back. Since my group of nine decided to book a trip to Hawaii, this was the first thing I added to the itinerary. And again, it did not disappoint. The service is top tier. The busser saw our large group come in and asked if we wanted to sit at a table we were eyeing, then cleaned it off for us and added extra seating so all of us could fit. The cashier was also very nice, and once your order is ready, the workers explain the toppings bar so you can dress your açaí bowl however you want (coconut flakes, granola, honey, chia seeds, etc.). I got the regular açaí bowl, and again, it is the best açaí bowl I have ever had. The açaí is thick and very rich, and you can tell the blend is real açaí and the berries on top are fresh. The topping bar is a great touch because you can customize it to your liking. It is sweet but not overly sweet or artificial tasting. It also takes a long time to melt, so you can take your time eating it. We also got a couple waffles on the side, and those were good too.

We decided to try this place because of the good reviews, but unfortunately our experience was…read moredisappointing. We were seated quickly, which was a positive, but the service throughout the meal was not pleasant. Our server seemed very rushed from the beginning. When taking our drink order, she walked away before everyone had finished ordering. Later, when we ordered food, I tried to mention that I did not want mushrooms in my frittata, but she interrupted me and moved on to another question. As a result, my frittata still came with mushrooms. The food itself was okay overall. The frittata could have used a bit more seasoning, and while another server checked on a nearby table and offered condiments like ketchup, hot sauce, or salt, our server never once checked if we needed anything. The loco moco was good, although the gravy was slightly too salty. At the end of the meal, when it was time to pay, our server stood there and immediately asked which tip option we wanted to choose -- "1, 2, or 3." Tipping should reflect the quality of service provided, and unfortunately the customer service we received did not warrant that approach. Overall, the experience did not live up to the reviews we had read.
