Set up an appointment with Harley exteriors to replace three plus windows. Upon the day before they were coming out. A manager called to discuss who was on title of the house and to make sure all would be present at time of appointment. Our title we believe has nothing to do with getting a bid. He said he would be at our property 4:00 p.m the following day. 4:15 pm day of appointment, we called because nobody had come out. The person who answered the phone said at 12: 50 p.m. they got a call stating we had canceled the appointment . But they could have someone out the next day, we never canceled any appointment. We confirmed the appointment at 2:18 pm. The manager had lied about the cancellation or was too busy to show up. Standing your potential customers up and wasting their time is not how anyone should do business. I would run away from Harley Exteriors. read more

I very reluctantly filled out an online request form for a roofing estimate. I told them on the phone that I would not stand for a 3 hour long speel on why I need a new roof. I know I need a new roof. They assured me it would take only an hour and a half. It took 4 hours and only stopped when I said that's enough. They were trying to sell me a why over priced roofing job for $33,000. I told them I had an estimate for $11,000 already. He went down to $26,000 then $$23,000. Since then they have been calling me night and day. I told them I'm not interested. They still called me every 3 days. Just hanging up on them doesn't help. So I blocked their number, which I can only do for 90 days. Then yesterday after the 90 days were up they called again. I thought we had law's in this country about phone harassment. I would never recommend these people, and don't give them your phone number or you will suffer the same fate. read more

At this point I have spent SEVEN MONTHS trying to get the repairs done. Repairs for damages done during installation. I don't mind that some leftover nails caused a flat tire. I don't mind that a bit of a tile sticks out over the gutter on a corner. I don't mind that they left trash on my roof and yard. What I do mind is getting zero response after dozens of calls and emails with multiple departments to fix what they broke. They pump up their warranty service as a massive selling point, but soon as they have your $$$, they're about as helpful as a kick in the nuts. I am seriously considering small claims court to get compensation for my time and what is turning into water damage after half a year of getting ghosted. UPDATE: three months since I was promised repairs. I'll give you zero guesses about whether or not the repairs have been done. They haven't. I've been run around for another three months, and for three more months the damage worsens. I have given them a hard deadline of November 1st of this year, 2022, before I take legal action. In addition I will be having the roof inspected by a third party because the quality of the workmanship has come into question. Will update in November one way or the other. Additional photos of the skylight to highlight other potential issues: not only was it reinstalled at an angle, but it is now consistently fogged up. This never used to happen. You can see that the nails there are all exposed as well, allowing rust. Update: 10 days to go. Repairs were once again promised, in writing, and once again there was no delivery on those promises. I have gone as far as offering them a middle ground: I'll get three quotes from different contractors for the repairs, then we can average those three and Harley Exteriors can cut me a check. It is beyond infuriating that I have had to spend this much time rectifying this. Also, I am STILL waiting on the warranty information for my roof. UDATE: I had another roofer come out today and inspect the roof. They found leakage, evidence of new water damage, improper installation, improper materials, flashing half-installed, nails sticking through the wood and leaking into the attic. I need the entire roof needs to be replaced. Let me add, they told me during their sales pitch that the roof would add value to the home. It did not; my real estate agent has told me so. This is directly in line with their previous offenses of making claims about the quality/benefits of their products that are simply not true. Posting on behalf of my parents: We used Angie's list to look for a company to replace our windows and decided to call up Harley Exteriors. We met with a man named Andy who gave a very convincing sales pitch. Since we didn't find anything questionable about them, we went ahead and signed the contract with a prodated check ready for deposit a couple weeks later. A few days after signing, we wanted to submit a proposal on the payment plan, which is to give them half up front and the last half after the work is done. After quite a few attempts at calling and emailing, they did not respond back to either contact method. Only a couple days after our initial contact, Harley apparently deposited the full check payment without a word. We only found out a few days after the check was deposited when we happened to check our bank account balance. We still had not heard from them at this point and were furious that they deposited the check when it was confirmed it was prodated. They finally called us back and we demanded to speak with their finance department which we ended up driving directly to their office. It was ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE the way they handled this situation. They called it a small mistake on their end and they clearly had no communication within their team. We requested that they cancel the contract and to return the check that they carelessly handled. This was the worst service we've ever received and it truly felt like a scam. So unprofessional. In the end, we received our check back in full. However we will never recommend Harley to anyone. They clearly do not care about communication or customer service. read more

They had a booth at the hockey game and I've been thinking about new gutters. They said they could do an estimate for gutters and windows. The day before they call to confirm and tell me they can give me window estimates but probably not gutter estimates (that's what I wanted from the start). They started getting really pushy about needing my husband to be here for the estimate as well. I told them he would be at work and they can do the estimate with me or not at all. They canceled the appointment. I've done several estimates for our house before and never been told I needed my husband present in order to get a quote. I have paid in full, my first mistake!! they have failed to contact me and when I get someone on the phone it is a run around with nothing ever accomplished. They installed the wrong widow. put a bathroom window in what was clearly a bedroom. finally brought out the correct window and the installer broke the window putting it in. more than a month later I have still got a broken window and no response to my calls or emails. After getting multiple quotes, Harley Exteriors had competitive pricing, a quality product, a great warranty and gained our confidence in completing our unique and challenging aluminum window replacement project. Elio Hernandez was a delight to have over. He adapted to our needs while presenting and we felt educated about our options. We replaced all of our windows. Many had failed seals, appeared foggy and had water damage, esp. the skywall window. Hector and his crew constructed a 4 story scaffolding. Most other companies said they couldn't do the project because of the uneven ground and immediate slope in the back of the house. The installation crew capped the skywall with a new roof, resulting in a new window wall that is consistent with the rest of the house structure. The crew manager was great at adapting to our requests throughout the project. We also had a 95x36 stained glass that they were able to carefully take down and place back after installing the new window in front of it. So when I initially called it was for our rental and we were going through some issues with tenants and decided it wasn't the right time. So what they uh did was go around me and target my father and I specifically said it is me who deals with the contractors and outreach for he doesn't get technology. They kept calling and calling him... I told him when I was on a call with them to not contact him for he's elderly. They did anyways and locked an appointment. Then when they finally got them to sign and pay they said in the appointment they'd have the measuring of the windows within a week. Took a month and even longer to set the appointment for the actually installation. We did not hire them and never would! The sales rep, JR was very friendly, just like a used car salesman is friendly. He showed us a PowerPoint slideshow that bragged about their company and what a great job they do. He pushed hard to install a brand of windows that are probably okay, but completely dissed similar brands like Milgard. He showed us "samples" of some flimsy window frames what he said were Milgard windows, but if you look at Milgard's website, you can see that their window frames are much better designed. He said their bid was good for a month, but the official bid was for literally twice what Home Depot bid. JR then walked down the price just like a used car salesman. He gave me the "limited time" special that had just expired, but could still slip us in if we signed right now. He even called his "manager" and got approval to reduce the bid below their absolute minimum if I signed right now. Eventually, the bid came down to only 25% more than Home Depot. But the price would go up if he walked out the door. He did not want me to do any research like read Yelp reviews. DON'T PUT UP WITH THIS NONSENSE. We had our roof replaced by Harley Exteriors recently. We used architectural shingles made by CertainTeed. Pros: Job is very well done. House looks great with new roof. The crew was professional. We had awnings on our roof and they were able to work around it perfectly, which is quite awesome as originally we thought we had to take it off and then hire someone put it back. Cons: They aren't cheap, actually their price are more on the higher end... but they do more than just tearing down and putting on new roof, and the shingles we chose weren't cheap either. Their sales are definitely on pushy end, as many of the reviewers pointed out. So don't expect them to just come to your home, look around and give you a quote, like other contractor do. Do your homework before meet their sales that is what we suggest. In summary we are quite happy with our new roof. We don't foresee needing anything major for our roof in the coming decades. read more

We had windows and doors replaced by Harley Exteriors. Our original install date was 8/3/21. Two of the windows came incorrect and had to be replaced along with changes on the front door. The next install date was 11/6/21 and workers did not bring the trim for one of the front windows, and caulking was not finished around the exterior of the front door. One of the workers stated they would be back within a week or two and finish these items. No return or notification for these issues. In 2/2022 I contacted the business to inquire when this would be completed and the project manager was not available. Despite talking with her boss and arranging yet another appointment, the worker did not show up on time and came without the items to complete the task. I had requested that he reschedule the appointment and followed up with the office both on the phone and email and requested that a new appointment was scheduled. This has not been completed nor the tasks which were paid in full. Very unprofessional service and they do not complete tasks as expected in a timely manner. The Harley rep called me soon after the show and I welcomed him to visit my home and look at my 70 year old windows. He was very knowledgeable. He demonstrated how excellent the windows were. Soon after our meeting a very nice craftsman came over and measured each window carefully and asked questions to be sure I would get what I expected. The windows were built and the team came over and spent the day replacing my old windows and putting in the beautiful new wonderful windows. The team worked hard all day. I purchased replacement windows for my home. That is 12 windows and a sliding glass door. I found the sales and installation processes were done well. My problem started a few days following installation when I realized my sliding glass door did not seal well and was leaking air. It looks to me as if the frame is warped, leaving about a 1/4 inch gap for air to enter. I Harley Exteriors for a person to come repair it. They took about two weeks and someone from Harley reviewed it and said it was a factory defect in the extrusion process." And he left. I have been calling Harley Exteriors for several weeks and no response. They have the relationship with the manufacturer. I was a guarantee. I should not have to stuff cloth into a gap in a brand new window to avoid wind blow through. This is unacceptable. I want Harley Exteriors to honor their guarantee and to stop ghosting me. When the installers came to install my four windows, they were very careful to not damage any of my flooring or track in any mud or things from the outside. Got signed up for a quote for some window work about four years ago now and there pretty much hasn't been a single weekday that has gone by where I haven't seen good old (425) 527-0077 pop up on my phone. Despite not needing the window work done and telling them multiple times I'm not interested and don't want any further calls, they just don't give up! That's reliability! It's nice knowing that if I ever need someone to talk to, they'll be there for me somewhere in the middle of my workday to have a chat. The phone calls are predatory and basically illegal since I've asked multiple times for them to stop calling, but did we land on the moon when the moon said "please don't. This is annoying"?? NO! That's not what America is about!! It's about sticking to your guns and bothering people that want nothing to do with you until the day they die. Before I get into my positive review I want to echo the various folks saying that this company is pushy. They are pushy. We had to tell our salesman 5 times that we didn't want financing. However, I am more impressed with their work than I was upset about pushy sales reps. We had the most amazing experience with Harley exteriors. They replaced 8 windows for us and I couldn't be happier with their work. They did it all in one day and it's crazy how big of a difference it made! Not only in appearance but in comfort. We can actually open our windows now. Anyhow I highly recommend them if any of y'all need any roof or window work done. read more

Please avoid this company if you can. See below issues to hopefully save you money and grey hair/high blood pressure. First issue: we had 25 windows and 2 doors replaced for about $68,000. Our neighbors got a quote for 5 windows for $40,000. This company refused any slight transparency to determine where the cost was coming from. Our friends couldn't afford $40,000 for 5 windows and we'll be paying until 2038 for the windows we got. Fairly insane inconsistency. Very high prices. We got three quotes and all of the companies swore their product was best, and their competitor's product was bad quality. We did our best, but Harley is not respectable. They're as bad as it can be, ethically speaking, when it comes to sales tactics. Our salesman stayed in our house past midnight, and we tried many times to get him out earlier. If you have to deal with these salesmen to get new windows, just avoid Harley. They were the worst of it. Second issue: They won't finish the job. Up until the project is deemed "complete" in their mind, they responded well and were very polite. Once the job was "done," they haven't been responsive at all. We're missing two screens (project manager ensured that I listed the screens as missing, and confirmed beyond a doubt, that the two windows required screens) and two of the latches are malfunctioning. We've had to hound them to get ANY response, let alone a helpful one. First they tried to tell us the windows didn't have screens. Eventually they agreed they do need screens. And now they're saying the screens were delivered but they weren't. If we could just go buy the screens somewhere and save us the trouble of trying to deal with these terrible people, we would. But we can't. They're custom size and for this specific window type. They haven't even tried to help with the two malfunctioning latches. Two more smaller things. The salesman said he accidently charged us an extra $60 when we signed on to start the process for the loan application. He promised to give us that money back. He's been unresponsive. It's just $60, but don't say you'll give it back and then ghost us??? That's cheap. Second, the salesman said it would take the construction team 3-4 days to do the install. He specifically said Harley determined if the company did less than 10-12 windows a day, they were milking the process. If they did more, they were rushing. The construction team we got did all of them in one day! All 25! And then did both doors the next day. They look okay, minus the malfunctioning latches, but why spew falsehoods in the first place? What's worse, they CLAIM they are awesome partners for the LIFETIME of these windows. Any malfunction, any crack, anything except purposeful vandalism... and they're there to support us. Not a chance. They won't finish the job in the first place. They're not going to help us in the future for any issues. We're on our own and will be paying for this for 15 years. We filed a complaint with the BBB to try and get our screens. That's the level we have to be at to get this company to adhere to their own contract. Save yourself the pain. Look elsewhere. I hope our hard lesson helps you when you go through your search for a respectable company. Probably hard to find, but Harley should not be at the top of your list. read more

Never went through with the job due to the very shady sales tactics. Their initial consulting appointment is a legitimate sales nightmare where they will do everything and anything to make you sign on the spot. They give you a lengthy spiel about their "exclusive windows" they make with a local manufacturer. The spiel is meant to exemplify the high qualities of this window and how no other window on the market compares to it (all others are "low quality builder grade" as they said). They keep asking rhetorical questions like "what did you think of the quality of this window? how do you like the frame structure of this window?" to hook you into falling in love with the window before they give you an astronomical quote for it. After 2.5 hours of just information read from a slide presentation or from various print outs (really, the sales person was reading line by line to us), we got a quote which we immediately said we would not decide on the spot on. This led to another 45 minutes of pulling miraculous discounts out of a hat in order to reduce the price (by 30%). If you sign on the spot, the discounts apply. If you don't, you lose them of course. These sales tactics completely turned us off, not to mention the insistence of the sales rep. After over 3 hours, we decided to just shut the whole thing off, asked the rep to leave because we were not going to decide on the spot. They occupied our whole evening, we had to get dinner at 10pm due to this. To my surprise, another company rep called a few days later to let us know they had a big order setup and would be able to reduce the price even further. I told them thank you but no thanks, we're not going to move forward. If the price can be reduced so much (it would have become comparable to the "low quality windows" they kept mentioning other companies install) then it means the initial price was grossly exaggerated and that there isn't that much of a difference in quality after all.
