My dad found this place and brought our family here for breakfast. Most of us ordered the biscuits and gravy, while some of the kids chose pancakes and scrambled eggs. Everyone was happy with their meals, and the kids especially enjoyed the juice. My parents were also very pleased with their food. I was delighted with the Happy Rooster Cafe. The biscuits and gravy were warm, comforting, and delicious. I also loved the coffee and the cookie they served in the cutest little mug. The whole place has a cozy, homey, country feel that made us all feel welcome. I definitely recommend stopping by if you're looking for a sweet, relaxed, country-style spot to enjoy a good meal. *Crayons and menu for coloring

Fairly positive experience eating here. Service was excellent our waitress was very friendly and attentive to our coffees. Our food was delicious but the portion sizes were small and for the prices I would expect a little more.

When my grandmother used to make me go into her chicken coop to gather eggs her rooster was never happy. That rooster was angry down to its claws! I finally found a Happy Rooster. It's a cafe called the Happy Rooster. When you walk up to it you see farm art in graffiti style. I thought was I going to walk into a cafe or large chicken coop? What I walked into was a fun decorated, clean, and organized cafe. I ordered glass of water to drink, and when the water arrived it was in a 24 oz mason jar. I got tickled inside and loved it. I ordered the Farmers Feast and the eggs arrived as ordered, potatoes were perfectly cooked, bacon and sausage were flavorful. I am not a sausage link person, and I usually leave the sausage link untouched, but this sausage tasted great. I ate both links and that's very rare for me. The pancakes were fluffy and tasted delicious. This cafe is fun and it will become a new place for me to stop in to eat. Try this place it's fun and gives you that local cool vibe.

It's really too bad that you can't give 0 stars, because this place doesn't even deserve the 1 star that I'm giving it. Our server didn't even know what kind of salad dressings they had to offer. When trying to order a patty melt we were told that while they had hamburger patties, they were out of patty melts. I ordered a Cobb salad and asked for no tomatoes or onions and received my salad with just the ham, cheese, lettuce. The eggs were placed on the side not even on the salad. When I asked for a drink to go, I was given 2 empty cups. While the inside decor is inviting and makes you want to come back, the service and the food make you reconsider that decision. I would definitely not recommend this place. I'd rather cook at home than go back here.

We stumbled on this joint while looking for a lunch spot. How we have never been here will remain a mystery. Best thing about this cafe is the friendly and welcoming staff, service was great and the place was spotless! The food was okay at best. I got a BLT and was surprised there was barely any lettuce and I was not a fan of the economy white bread. My husband got the French dip and it appeared to be on a large hotdog bun, although he said it was good even though on the small side for what he is used to getting at other restaurants (a fave of his). Fries were solid.

A mom and pop breakfast joint worth checking out because of their no nonsense menu, friendly staff and loyal customers. Their decor is right on the nose with a metal rooster by the entry way to images of it on the walls and rooster chachkies. It's very family friendly, no wonder it's packed making the ambiance a great place to eat a hardy breakfast. Conversations from some of the patrons and servers were fun and informal making you feel like you're home. They have a lot of parking to accommodate how packed the place is. The best part is I think it's a hidden gem by my neighborhood.

From the moment you walk in and are greeted by the gal at the front, you know you're in for some down home diner action. Lively atmosphere, friendly and fast service by our server, and delicious coffee and omelettes. Even the sour dough toast was still warm, buttery and crunchy when brought to our table. My friend had a Swiss, mushroom and bacon omelette and I had the Rooster special, which had (excellent) big chunks of green chile, ham and American cheese on top. So delicious. I got a side of their (delicious) homemade salsa since I like to eat that with eggs, as well as hash browns, which were crunchy and golden on top, moist in the middle. Truly epic breakfast. Next time I'll try their sour cherry French toast or blueberry pancakes and bacon - and if they are as good as today's experience, will up my rating to a 5.

Kathy was our waitress she is amazing! So kind and coffee was always full. Job well done Kathy!

Daisia F. was our waitress she is Amazing! Everything was as ordered Daisia checked on her customers regularly. Coffee always full. Job well done Daisia

Stumbled on" the happy rooster when getting truck repairs at a& j down the street ( near dmv smog inspects station off 22nd & Sarnoff ne of shell connivence store. Friendly staff , cozy , down home diner with big menu . The breakfast Specials end at 8 30 am FYI . Plenty of seating & spacious . Tried & true western omelette my choice . It sits n of 22nd street at the light ne. Almost anything available on big menu anytime I was told . I believe this restaurant has been a local favorite near rolling hills for a ling time. I had a terrible HANKERING for biscuits and gravy. No one ever gets it right. I looked through…read morepages and pages of mixed reviews. I finally landed on Little Anthony's Diner bc the picture looked the most appealing and closest to what I was expecting. Did a pick up order 7/8/26 around 10:50am; customer service was great. Bc I called close to 11am the woman stated they were serving lunch. I stated I really wanted the biscuit and gravy and the woman asked the kitchen if that was okay; which they obliged. This was a deliciously classic and perfect rendition of what I want when I eat biscuits and gravy. There was lots of sausage crumbles and flavor. Bc the pieces were so small it made for a perfect bite throughout the whole dish. I could not believe how good this was. I'm sad I only opted for the the single biscuit and gravy (5.49) and not the two (6.49). This place will be my go-to every time I have a taste for it and happy I'm to support local while doing it!!

We have been frequent and normally satisfied customers of Little Anthony's for 25+ years. Up until…read morerecently there has never been an issue that warranted us asking to speak with a manager. Now there have been two pretty complete failures in only a couple of months. The first one involved getting getting food cold and waiting until over halfway through the meal for at shake to show up and it wasn't even blended completely. There were large chunks of unblended ice cream in it. Now for tonight. We got there and they were fairly busy. They got us seated in a reasonable amount of time. We were at our table long enough to figure out what we wanted before the server came to ask us for our drinks so we ordered everything together. Queue a 30-minute wait. We got one refill and a promise it was going to 'be up in a couple of minutes'. We waited another 10 before deciding to leave. The order FINALLY came up as we were getting to the counter to play for the drinks (which they didn't offer to comp), so they asked us if we wanted it bagged up to take home. We said yes they bagged it up, charged us full price, and when we got home the role for the salad had been crushed. The chicken on the salad was cold. The onions rings with the tuna melt were old and gummy. If this is the service and quality of food we can expect from Little Anthony's now, we won't be coming back. It is very sad to see such a great place lose their touch.

Nice restaurant. Been here a few times, some with colleagues for lunch…read more Food is good. I've had a variety of things, some Mexican dishes, some American. Did a breakfast once. I wouldn't say that it is top of the line cooking, but it is very delicious and definitely worth a visit this side of town. Parking can be a little challenging, they do share a parking lot with other businesses, but close in, there are not that many spots. Service is always friendly and makes you feel comfortable. Interesting atmosphere with flamingos galore and other things decorating the inside. Gives it somewhat of a party and fun feel. Food comes out in a timely manner even when they are very busy. Prices are reasonable. Give it a try, I think you'll like it. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!
