We got the Xiao Long Bao and also the House Fried Rice. We'd never had bao before, but we really liked it! Great flavor! The fried rice was also really good! My wife thought it was dry, but I liked it! read more

Took my Chinese gf here hoping to quench her thirst for boa but was pretty disappointed. The chow fun was good but I'd skip the bao.

The wait staff was super attentive. The signature dumplings are a must. I really loved the xiao long bao as well! If I had a bigger stomach I would have tried the dan dan noodles and Chinese hamburger. It's nestled in an awesome Asian market. read more

The waiter's really rude!!! Had us waited for a table and then told us the table was not for us... with a really bad attitude! totally unnecessary for the attitude... it's not like we insisted to sit at a specific table. Why had us stand there and wait at the first place tho? Left right away without having meal there. Will NOT visit again. read more

Reminds me of Taiwan. I will be coming again and again. We ordered the Dan Dan noodles, pork Sheng jian bao, and pork soup dumplings. And the fresh soy milk is the best. The workers are friendly and accommodating. Seriously, this place is a gem. read more

The taste of the food here was fantastic but the soup dumplings had no soup inside! It was really delicious and we will go back for sure. Yum! We also had the wonton soup which was more like ramen with dumplings in it. So good! Can't wait to try more menu items. read more

We were told to wait outside after they took our name down even there are open tables. Free advertising for your business?

This is a nice little spot to get some pretty good food. Tried the xiao long bao, signature dumplings, and Chinese hamburger; they were delicious. Food was served at a good pace, the place wasn't too crowded but really enjoyed the atmosphere and friendly staff. I will definitely be back again. read more

One of the dumplings was old and had a sour smell. We also ordered dan dan noodle, it was alright. The ribs were decent also. We also had stir fry noodles with beef, it could have a little more salt to taste. The smell was good but no taste at all. Maybe the cook forgot to season some salt. The waitress was nice though. The place has cute fake dumplings decorations on the wall. read more

I love this place. All the time that been order is so good. The Dan Dan noodles is very good. The cucumber to the dumplings. Very good overall and the service is good too. Overall great experience. read more

Ordered the pork wonton noodle soup and it was tremendous! The wontons were full of flavor and the noodles and broth were very tasty.

Very yummy. We had the number 8, 3, 6, and 16. Best dan don noodles anywhere. The soup dumplings are my families favorite and the bao is perfect with not too much bread. Everything is very yummy. We will definitely be back probably sooner than later. We came for dinner tonight and It was not too busy. I'm pretty sure if I left my 7 year old there he would have ate dumplings nonstop into the morning he is still humming (what he does when he's eating yummy food) read more

We decided to come to this place based on the yelp reviews, and it did not disappoint. We were quickly greeted, seated, and had an attentive server. We ordered the Xiao Long Bao, Chicken Dumplings, Dan Dan Noodle, and Singapore Rice Noodle. Great flavor and good portions for the price. Would definitely come here again! read more

Happy Bao's - Chinese Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

Best food I've ever had! The service was amazing as well! Our waitress was so nice and played with our baby. My husband ordered the Dan Dan noodle, I ordered porridge and 2 different kinds of bao. We shared everything together. We loved everything we ordered! For dessert we ate the taro bao. I'm tempted to go back for more! The bread was the softest, most fluffy indulgence ever. Words don't do this place justice! read more

I came here for the soup dumplings only... And they did NOT disappoint at all!! This place has been highly recommended to me from many friends and I'm glad I had the chance to finally try it out today. It was worth the drive from north phx! I did also order the beef chow fun but I wasn't a big fan of it honestly, I felt like it needed more flavor. But the soup dumplings are a must!! read more

Deeeelicious!!!! There's no need to desire Din Tai Fung. We have our own Bao and Xiong (soup) dumplings, cucumber salad, and house fried rice. We will be back to try everything in the menu. I did not get to order Bao; we were all so full. Flavorful to the nth degree! Service matched the excellent food prepared by this family! read more

Omg!!! This place is so yummy! I love their Xiao long baos! It's very soupy and full of flavor. Their dumplings are awesome too. I recommend their signature dumplings if you want to try it out. Everything that I have tried has been delicious. I highly recommend the soup dumplings, lamb noodle soup and the Hong Kong fried rice.

I am sincerely disappointed with the fact that this place let us down customer service wise. I understand the main focus is the food however this server "Yuxuan" was inexplicably disrespectful. I drove 32 minutes to this place because of how good it looked in a "Tik Tok" review. I will be honest, the food was wonderful, it would have been even better if it wasn't cold because we had to take it to go since the server was so blatantly rude. she slammed our drinks on our table with so much attitude and disrespect it even spilled over the cup with the amount of force she used to put it down. We will not be coming back here, there are places with equally, if not better tasting food with excellent customer service. A shame that this place is losing mine and all of my friends and family's business due to this server. read more

One of their server is so rude. She should go to school and learn some manners. My bill was $15.83, so I tried to find some changes. I found 3 cents in the end. The server said that "use 3 cents to change 2 coins. What's the point? Same weight." If I don't give her 3 cents, I'll get 1 coins and 8 cents back. I think boss should hire someone smart to service. read more

My go-to, absolute favorite Chinese restaurant in the east valley! The dan dan noodles are too die for!! Perfect amount of spice, balanced w the cucumbers and peanuts. also recommend: house friend rice, the hamburger, and the pork sheng jian read more

We ordered the Dan dan noodles which were actually good, so were the dumplings. That is about where it ends. Unfortunately every single dish came out separately and it took about 90 min total for our meal which is far too long. The XLBs were so terrible that I couldn't eat them and had to return them. They did reduce the price of the meal by 50% but that still doesn't really help. It was truly that bad.... Not sure I'll be back because of the service aspect but if I do I definitely won't order the XLBs. No way no how. read more

Huge portions, so plan to take home or share. Owners are helpful and friendly and not afraid to tell you if something won't be to your taste. Nothing there was bad read more

Best Xiao Long Bao I've had outside of Shanghai. A couple other phoenix places have made them, but none have been as good as this!

If you came here just for the dan dan noodles it would be worth it. Great texture n flavor of the ground pork makes for an excellent noodle dish. We used the house made chili to spice it up ; but the five spice was a little on the heavy spice for me (personal preference). We also had the "Chinese hamburger " and it was good not great - a little on the sweet side for me. But my favorite was the "red pork belly" dish (I forgot the name of the dish). The dish came with the pork belly, fried tofu, hard boiled egg, and pickled vegetable. Definitely my favorite! read more

This place definitely wasn't worth the money or time. Spicy wontons were pre-made and sitting out. The wrappers were hard and the chili oil was bland. The spicy beef noodle soup lacked spice and flavor and the meat was mostly fat. read more

Have now been there twice and love the place. The xiao long bao is Awesome....soups were excellent along with the house fried rice and we also had some of the other special dumplings. Also, this restaurant is CLEAN with very friendly servers. read more

I made the drive from the west valley today for dinner. Overall very happy with the food and service. I am very glad I made the drive. The food was very good and came out quick. I do recommend! read more

We were very happy indeed! Delicious bao and Chinese broccoli in a casual atmosphere. Good service. We will definitely be back

This is my go to place to satisfy my need for wonton noodle soup and lamb Jiao zi or what many people refer to as steamed dumplings or I guess pot stickers and my daughter's love of xiao long baos (soupy buns). They have fresh pressed soy milk, so I'll grab this and pick up some you tiao (chinese donuts) sao bing from mekong supermarket frozen section (store is in the same center) and have me a nostalgic Taiwanese breakfast. Since March 2020 (covid times) I have called in my orders, they have been correct so far, my favorite is that they put the soup buns in their individual sauce containers (no lid) but this keeps them from moving, breaking that we can get home and eat them intact. They also make sure to keep broth separate from the soup makings so your noodles and dumplings will not get gooey! Come enjoy this little gem... it honestly takes too much work for me to make dumplings so this is where I go to get my fix! read more

amazing great and awesome, plus a friendly staff and lovely environment. we always call our order in; ive tried about 40% of menu, and its just splendid. had it last night, i want it for breakfast, again. read more

Liang Pi cold noodle dish is completely legit. I've been to Xi'an Famous Foods in NYC and Terra Cotta Warrior in San Francisco many times. In my opinion, this place is 2nd to Xi'an Famous Food - what a delightful place in an unexpected spot in the hot desert. Also had the Dian Dian mein - good and the xiao long bao - also good. The roujiamo was okay. Not the flavor I was expecting - it was not hot and spicy. More resembled typical lamb stew. Will definitely be back. read more

We arrived early so we would not have to wait. They had a kitchen emergency and said they would open at noon. We left and came back and they had opened early and we had to wait for 40 minutes. Tiny place with few seats. The market all around was neat with the stores and supermarket. I had never tried this type of bao or dumplings and was excited. I am not sure if this is how bao are but it was totally disappointing and unsatisfying. It was just dry and flavorless bread balls, not fluffy. Meat inside was a small, flavorless, dry hockey puck. The bao "sauce" was just vinegary. My husband got fried rice and said that wasn't even good. Cold noodle was just thick noodles with a few shreds of vegetables. All the plates looked cute but there was no flavor or anything special about these carb laden balls. The ladies were nice and service was quick. This place cured me of any desire to eat Chinese food again. read more
