I also appreciate that the music isn't too loud, so we could actually talk and hear each other while dining. Everything feels clean, polished, and inviting. The staff were incredibly cordial and attentive. They had the initiative to check on us from time to time and refill our water without us having to ask. I also love how generous they are with the sides! My favorite dish here is definitely the Galbi. Every bite took me back to Japan. I know this is Korean cuisine, but the Galbi reminded me so much of the one I've had in Japan, which is probably why I enjoyed it even more. We ordered the group meal with Bimbimao, and we also really loved the chicken wings. I just wish the wings were a little bigger and that the serving was more generous! We also tried their rice wine and Kuku cocktails, and both were delicious. They definitely don't skimp on the drinks! I'll definitely keep coming back. This was already my fourth time bringing a group of friends and family here, and I can see myself doing it again. At this point, I'm hoping they'll consider having a loyalty or discount card for regular customers like me!

I am used to the location in Long Island and i am obsessed with the kimchi, and the kimchi here is also just as good! The service was super good, our water cups were NEVER empty!! They were speedy and there was always somebody ready to help which i appreciate. They refilled the kimchi and the other side dishes too which i loved- because the side dishes were all so good! We thought the pork galbi was not that good though. They didn't have the usual char to it and they didn't give much fat/lean pieces, just purely lean pieces, so it was a bit dry. But the soondubu and mackerel were amazing! It was perfectly tender and crispy, with the right amount of fat. Paired perfectly with the kimchi. We had a great time and will definitely be back.

This place is a little of a hidden gem and not quite like other Korean restaurants. But no gatekeeping here! We also came at a weird lunch time around 2pm so it wasn't really busy and we were seated right away. Once you enter, you'd quickly notice the very detailed beautifully hand painted murals on the walls and an abundance of painted butterflies. The attention to detail is impeccable! The menu is also very cute and I'm guessing handmade. It was pretty detailed and we appreciated learning about each dish before deciding what to order. We ended up ordering the Kimchi Pancake with seafood, the spicy bulkoki udon and the jeyuk udon. The kimchi seafood pancake was super crispy and filled with squid and shrimp! It also came with a semi sweet dipping sauce that paired nicely. Both udons came out piping hot and fresh! Udon had a nice chew to it, was loaded with vegetables as well as meat for each dish. The egg was fried and did not have a runny yolk. For sides, they gave us 4 things- a tomato salad, kimchi cucumbers, braised string beans, and bean sprouts. The tomato salad came in this cute apple shaped dish but neither of us really cared for it- this is completely biased though since we're not really fans of tomato. What we really did love was the kimchi cucumbers! Also at the end, they served us 3 pieces of cantaloupe which were very sweet. Overall, yummy food, cute shop, and friendly/nice staff! I'd come back to try their other food options in the future!

I had to wait for over 25 minutes with a group of 6 on a weekday morning but it was well worth it. After you get seated You get served some sides like most Korean places do. It was kimchi and what seemed like a crispy item. pickled radish?apple?chayote? maybe one of those three. You also get served a grain tea which is one of my favorite types of tea. It was tasty but very mild/light in flavor I came here mainly for the seafood pancake. My friends said they loved it here so I came to check it out and it did not disappoint . The pancake came out sizzling and crispy. I'm usually not too big of a fan of seafood pancakes but everything in this one was great. Not overcooked and the flavors came out great. The flavors worked so well with each other without having a heavy seafoody flavor.

There's 2 waitresses and one busser, but I felt only one of the waitress was pulling the weight, while the other (maybe she's the owner?) mostly chatted with one of the table customers. I felt bad for our waitress she was so busy with fulfilling takeouts + dine ins and the dishes require a lot of servicing table side. She couldn't catch 1 second of break :( Food wise, we got their 2 person combo of spicy pork gamja tang and spicy rice cake which came with the steamed egg. Everything was so good, egg was extra fluffy, rice cake was delicious and the meat came right off the bones. They take a good variety of side dishes. My partner wasn't a fan of the gamja tang but due to feeling it's a hassle to eat meat with bones, so those who fee sim may agree. We also asked for the fried rice after we finished the gamja tang, for 2 servings I think it was $4.75 or something. I really enjoyed it but I guess I like scorched rice, also something my partner doesn't enjoy so those we feel sim just note. Environment feels very old school, well worn. Feels cozy. It can get loud very quickly on a Saturday night as this place seems to be a hit for large parties. Since the wait staff is short handed, expect a bit of a wait for things. Don't come if you're in a rush.

Geo Si Gi is highly known for their signature gamjatang (spicy pork bone soup). Ordered the Gamjatang & Grilled Mackerel Set - $52.95 (for 2) The gamjatang is perfectly spiced - bold and warming without overwhelming heat (and trust me, my spice tolerance is low!). Instead of the usual red kimchi, they load it with long strips of green napa cabbage, cut right before your eyes before serving. Some bean sprouts, watercress on top, with tender potatoes, chewy rice cakes, and massive pork bones that fall right off - so meaty and flavorful. Served with a side of sweet mustard sauce. Pure comfort on a cold day. The grilled mackerel was enormous and incredibly plump - way bigger than expected! As an oily fish, it's rich and satisfying, but we barely made it through a third. If you're a mackerel fan like me, it's a must-order. . Banchan were simple and homey: nothing flashy, just solid classics. Bonus: it comes with fluffy steamed egg (jjim) that rounds out the meal perfectly. I can eat an entire bowl of rice with just the steamed egg . This set was massive for two - we left with about 1/4 of the soup and 2/3 of the fish! Pro tip: Save some broth and ask them to make fried rice with it at the end. Game-changer. .
