It had been a while, but I was craving Korean street food, so I ordered cheese tteokbokki, spicy tuna kimbap, and spicy wheat noodles. We also got tea, anchovy soup, and kimchi, and everything tasted wonderful. My only wish is for a higher-quality cheese on the rice cakes--and for them to have a bit more spicy. Other than that the service was great and very affordable. My tab was $35.

A tight space with just a few 2-person tables. You order at the counter at the entrance before taking a seat to wait until your food gets brought to you. They give you a complimentary bowl of soup both with sit-down and takeout orders plus a plate of kimchi. We got a few kimbap (mushroom, eel, and vegetable) which were prepared fresh and arrived still warm. The texture and flavor were great and the portions were very generous. The soondae (mild and springy, served with a little foil packet of salt) and spicy tteokbokki (soft rice cakes in a simple, slightly sweet sauce with a bit of heat and a few pieces of fish cake) were also satisfying. Glad to add this to my list as a go-to spot for fresh kimbap.

Ate here by myself for lunch. I had brought and ate the spicy octopus over rice that it tasted quite good and delicious. The service there was also attentive and wasn't bad at all that it took awhile to be served. Finally, I would definitely eat and come back again next time.

Got a couple of things to go for 4 men. All of this was $94, paid by cash: - 4 rolls of 김밥: kimchi bulgogi was the best and would get again, then spicy tuna, spicy octopus, and mushroom. The last 3 were still decent but I've had better. - 순대: I saw this being microwaved so wasn't sure how it would be, but this was good too and I'd get again. They only give salt and not Salted shrimp paste, just a FYI - 족발: good as well and I'd get again here - 튀김: this was the only thing I wouldn't get again. We got a mix, but the batter was too thick and tough. If you still crave it, the sweet potato and roll are better than the squid. The squid itself is good but too much batter around it. We got 2 portions and these are huge so 1 would have been plenty. They gave us soups as well - asked us how many I needed - and their kimchi was good too. Everything had really good portions here. The 4 of us would have been good without the fried items. I'd come back here especially to try the other 김밥 and 순대.

This is a hole in a wall Korean restaurant that serves staple Korean dishes. One of their main cook is an elderly ahjumma who, even with limited English, is eager to help serve customers. Their bibimbap is BIG. Even with a big appetite, I still cannot finish it. The kimbaps are big and filled generously with meat/veggies than rice. The fried squid coating can be addicting (coating is much bigger than the squid inside). There is a small space for dining in, it's not good for big groups. It's best to order take out and dine at home.

I got tuna kimbap and I will go back, felt like I was at home Delicious and so cozy... I want to just sit there and enjoy grandma company She also let us try her fried fish and then we went back to get a bag of it!!!! Sweet energy and I can't wait to try the other amazing looking food

Haven't been here in years cuz of the negative experience my friend had last time. I remember their Bbq squid kimbap was amazing so I went again. It's so spicy, but so good. If you can't handle seriously spicy food, I suggest Kimganae next door.

ordered a cheese tteokbokki, ice noodle, and chungmoo roll, all for only $41 including tip & tax. and if you pay in cash it's tax free! The portions are extremely generous and the flavor is unmatched. The tteokbokki is VERY cheesy to come prepared. Not sure what the kimchi came with but we got it on the side for free. Very hole in the wall down to earth place. Seemed like lots of locals came in and out to get takeout on a casual saturday afternoon. Not much dining space but also not crowded.

Walked by many times. Decided to give this a try. Small hole in the wall with barely any room to walk. Has a B health rating. And a non Korean in the back cutting vegetables. Everything about this was sketch. The guy cook stared at me and said 5 minutes, but it was really 15. As I waited and contemplated my decision, I saw an elderly ajumma bring out my soup. Right then I already knew it was gonna be the bomb. Should really be five stars, but I can't have a line outside this place.

My go-to Korean food spot in flushing NY. The food is affordable, large portioned, and delicious. The food is also always prepared quickly, within 15-20 minutes I place the call. The staff is kind and quick to take care of everything. I always get a dupbap which is a meat over rice with a salad, their spicy tteokbeoki, and a kimbap. All their dupbaps also comes with some kimchi and a miso soup. My favorite is their spicy pork dupbap and their spicy squid kimbap. They have outdoor seating and like 6 spots indoor, but it's a small family owned place and I usually just order to-go. Tl;dr - affordable, large portion, delicious, outdoor seating, small shop

Omelette Rice ($15)

They accept card! I avoided coming here for that very reason, but when we finally took the opportunity one day, we were in for some of the best Korean food in the area. The grandma taking our order made the experience extra heartwarming. We came here a second time, and the worker, who I would think is the son, was just as kind. I'm so glad I got to try their Donkatsu Roll ($10). Fried pork cutlets wrapped in rice and seaweed belong together harmoniously, despite my initial skeptical thought of crispy breaded batter against soft rice. I wasn't expecting the Omelette Rice ($15) to taste so good, but the egg was the perfect consistency, adding an extra creaminess to the fried rice. This would be my go-to whenever I crave Korean food in Flushing.

We went to Chung Moo for an early dinner and were surprised to see that there were quite a few others there as well. We opted to sit outside because there was more space and fans to cool us down. We ordered the Donkatsu and Omelet Rice. Both dishes came with coleslaw, and the omelet rice came with yellow radish. We were also served miso soup and kimchi; the kimchi was incredibly well-marinated. The Donkatsu was great, and the sauce was sweet and savory. While the Omelet Rice was also good, we preferred a different type of meat inside the Omelet Rice. Both portions were big and relatively cheap, and the service was good. Overall, the food was good, but it didn't blow our minds. Nonetheless, we would still come back here again because the food is cheap and the portions are big.

Chung moo roll $8

Prices went up. The Chung moo roll is now $10. It's still delicious. They have the radish kim chi and marinaded squid and you can still taste the alcohol. The Kim chi Bulgogi Roll has very little Kim chi in it but it's still taste good and fresh. Made by a grandma and her son. The tax is included in the price. I think it's still cash only and they have outdoor seating. There's water in the back. Service by Grandma and she is very sharp. Ambiance is very casual. There's outdoor seating.

Cuisine: 5 Service: 5…read moreDecor: 7 Value: 7 Overall: 6 The short answer? The food is alright. The service is average too. I came here a few times because they have a precious parking lot. However, I wish they could improve upon their food a tad. The namesake tofu stews all lack depth of flavor and the quality of tofu feels underwhelming. Their accompanying steamed white rice also tastes too firm and not glutinous enough. Together, this restaurant does not make a better soondubu than most of the Korean restaurants around, even though they should specialize in it. Also, they don't offer much in terms of banchans, which seems like a common trend in many Korean restaurants. On the other hand, I would say that their Grilled Mackerel and Grilled LA Galbi is decent. Not good enough that I would go here for those dishes because I have many options for those items. I come for the soondubu and sadly I have given it enough opportunities to impress.

Very comfortable space to dine as a family of four and if you are a larger group, they have a great space on the side for larger parties. The bahn chan was delicious, especially the egg. Tofu was soft and good flavor in the plain broth. Grilled mackerel was delicious. Few places make it less salty without asking and theirs was spot on! Bibimbap had good flavor without needing to add the sauce. Enjoyable meal. Would definitely come back.

There's 2 waitresses and one busser, but I felt only one of the waitress was pulling the weight, while the other (maybe she's the owner?) mostly chatted with one of the table customers. I felt bad for our waitress she was so busy with fulfilling takeouts + dine ins and the dishes require a lot of servicing table side. She couldn't catch 1 second of break :( Food wise, we got their 2 person combo of spicy pork gamja tang and spicy rice cake which came with the steamed egg. Everything was so good, egg was extra fluffy, rice cake was delicious and the meat came right off the bones. They take a good variety of side dishes. My partner wasn't a fan of the gamja tang but due to feeling it's a hassle to eat meat with bones, so those who fee sim may agree. We also asked for the fried rice after we finished the gamja tang, for 2 servings I think it was $4.75 or something. I really enjoyed it but I guess I like scorched rice, also something my partner doesn't enjoy so those we feel sim just note. Environment feels very old school, well worn. Feels cozy. It can get loud very quickly on a Saturday night as this place seems to be a hit for large parties. Since the wait staff is short handed, expect a bit of a wait for things. Don't come if you're in a rush.

The pork was indeed very good. My only comment was that the waitress seemed very stressed and frazzled. She was stressing about cooking the food and some of it was getting overcooked but also our banchan didn't get refilled because of it.
