We didn't have a long wait at all. Sat down right away and our server was on top of it. We placed our order and received our drinks/food in a timely manner. I got the Caesar salad and fries, both great! I would attend girl dinner again. (:

I've passed by this place way too many times and never got to try it. Today, when our plan to eat ramen was ruined by a 2hr waitlist to get a table, we decided to give it a try. We got a booth right the way, got some happy hour cocktails and an appetizer. I can definitely tell that their Hanky Panky Tiki was hanky-panking good. Lox board was huge and it felt like a whole meal to at could be shared by two. However we also had entrees. I went for a chicken sandwich and it was really well seasoned, not dry at all. I added some arugula and capers from the lox board to it and it went sooooo well together. I would definitely like to come back some time.

It does just fine. I really liked the hummus and pita. The steak frites fell flat afterwards. The drinks are strong and I appreciated that!

I've been here a few times already and it is consistently a good spot in the neighborhood with a lot of parking. Off the times I've been here I can always get a seat since the restaurant is quite huge. Happy hour deals are great. The Monday half off burger is even better. Cocktails are good, staff is very fast and friendly. The food came out so fast that i don't not even been able to build my lox sandwich for a bite. I do really recommend the lox appetizer. Which is really actually a meal. You get a lot out of it.

This was my first time at Hanks! I've heard great things about this spot from my friends. I love that there was plenty of parking in front and there's additional parking in the back. We had a reservation at 11:30am and were seated promptly. I wasn't expecting the space to be so big! There was great patio seating as well and it was all covered! The Lemon Ricotta pancakes were delicious! The blueberry compote on top was great. The pancakes don't need to be drenched though. Looks unappetizing (it would be nice if this came on the side though!) I love the pairing on Lemon and blueberry especially in the summer! The pancakes were soft, creamy a little sour and sweet! Nicely balanced. The serving size is huge that comes with 3 large pancakes that can be shared. For drinks I ordered a chai latte which was just water and cinnamon :( I think they forgot the mix and I had to send it back. I got a to go matcha instead. I also tried The Whale & The Butterfly which had Gin and Butterfly Pea-flower in it. Very tangy! It was a pretty drink but too sour tasting for me. The Chantilly cake was fine. Not my favorite because of the excess frosting but my friend loved it. Service was pretty slow, so I'm taking 1 star off for that. I've also heard that the dinner menu is subpar so I'd stick with the brunch menu.

Great happy hour - daily from 3-6:30 I think! $9 frozen drinks and 1/2 off appetizers We love the fried zucchini- delicious!! They also do bogo burger specials on Monday - we love to do this! It's a great deal My husband always gets the burger - his favorite I have tried the grilled cheese before and the tomato soup - AMAZING! Frozen Paloma is my favorite - they also do frose! Service is always great and friendly Patio is dog friendly and super nice and spacious - indoor is very cute!! We have also gotten the doughnuts and they are so freaking good This time I got the kale Cesar salad with grilled chicken - def not bad but probably won't order again

Stopped by here for a snack and a drink with a friend. The service was friendly and very quick, and there was plenty of seating, both in a cafe area and a restaurant area. We got fries, sweet potato fries, and brussel sprouts. They accidently gave us fries when we ordered sweet potato fries, so they let us keep both. Each were fairly good, and a decent portion, too. I also got a drink, I believe it was an ube mojito. I remember liking it but think I'd be tempted by some of the others too. Overall recommended as a nice, relatively quiet place to hang out or get some food. Can't speak to the entrees as I didnt get any, though heard they were good, too.

    Fried Chicken Sandwich

The food was absolutely delicious, we started off with the whipped ricotta and a fresca pizza. We ordered the steak frites and fried chicken sandwich for our mains, and they were both a hit. The outdoor ambiance was super nice and they put the shades down when it got too hot for us. Service was wonderful and attentive. Made a reservation for 5:00 on a Friday but wasn't too busy when we came in. 10/10 would recommend!!

Great location, lots of free parking, and lots of seating inside and outside. There is a restaurant portion and a cafe portion. The cafe is great for WFH and has plenty of outlets. I didn't see many outlets in the restaurant portion, so I wouldn't recommend sitting there if you want to WFH. There is some cute bar seating, too. Service is good but can be a little slow at times. This is a great place to eat if you're not in a huge rush. The menu is not super ample, but it has some classics. Starters to share, soups and salads, sandwiches and burgers, and pizzas. A cute little spot to check out if you're in the area!

Hanks is a super cute spot, with lots of open seating and a nice aesthetic. If you go to the cafe side, I imagine it's a really nice spot to get some work done, and I've heard good things about their drinks. They also have a drive through, so you can also get it to go! (But it closes at 8.) I think Hanks might be better known for their brunch, after seeing so many pictures of their breakfast items. But we came for dinner at 6:30pm on a Thursday, and had no wait in getting a table. Overall, the food was pretty decent, but also not necessarily anything special. Some standouts for me were that the pizza tasted better than it looked, and I liked the huge chunks of goat cheese in the salad. But I wish the Brussels sprouts were crispier. I do want to come back, but probably only to try the cafe or brunch.

We've been coming to Hank's for a few years now--it's easily one of our favorite happy hour spots in town. The ambiance is always spot-on, with stylish design and a laid-back vibe. We especially love grabbing a seat at the bar. On our most recent visit, Miriam took care of us and was fantastic--super attentive, easy to talk to, and made the whole experience even better. We enjoyed the white wine on tap, the frozen Paloma, and the Aperol spritz--all refreshing and well-made. The burger hit the spot, but if you're looking for standouts, we highly recommend the pesto rice bowl with grilled chicken and the spicy shrimp. Both are packed with flavor and perfect happy hour bites. If you're looking for a chill, unpretentious happy hour with great service, food, and drinks--Hank's is the place.

The most appropriate term to describe the food at Hank's is "mid." The vibes are nice though. They have both a restaurant and cafe. The cafe was closed for a private event, so we sat outside on the patio and were able to order from the window. The weather was beautiful for studying outside, but as the afternoon came it started to get very sunny, and there is minimal shade covering. I got the fried chicken sandwich, while my friend got Hank's breakfast. I read that their fried chicken sandwich ($16.24) is "famous." The chicken and the bun were both so mid. The bun especially was dry and flaky. The fries were okay. The breakfast potatoes were not very good either, and the sourdough toast was so hard. It was so cold inside the restaurant even when I just went for a few minutes to use the restroom. They had the AC absolutely blasting when it was a pleasant day outside. The restroom was clean.

While exploring the many museums across the University of Texas campus, a quick caffeine break was needed for my girlfriend and we were overwhelmed by the number of options on The Drag. It makes sense that there are plenty of places to choose from because of the large number of UT students. Everyone needs a little coffee in their lives. One of the highest reviewed ones with a large pool of ratings was Lucky Lab Coffee and after checking a few quick reviews, we decided to give it a chance. Lucky Lab has five locations in Austin (four on campus) and one location in Dripping Springs. The one we were at off The Drag was their flagship. This location serves a little bit of everything from sandwiches to pastries, salad to quiche, and of course, coffee. As we walked inside the flagship, it is easy to notice how tight the space is. There is very little seating inside at their bar, but they make up for it with plenty of shaded outdoor space that is perfect for a nice day. Scanning their menu, we landed on some drinks from their winter menu. I was intrigued by their Pomegranate Rosemary Latte while my girlfriend tried their Ginger Spice Mocha. We got them both iced. First, it is interesting to see the fusion of pomegranate and rosemary in a latte. I was intrigued by those flavors. Their drink sizes are 12 oz, 16 oz, and 20 oz, each adding an additional 50 cents to each upgrade. All milk alternatives cost 1 dollar. It was only a short wait to get our coffees and the cup with the little lab on it was cute. I think specialty drinks have an opportunity to be amazing and one of a kind or the worst drink imaginable. This pomegranate rosemary latte did not fall into either category exactly, but leaned more toward the latter. I love pomegranates and I always appreciate how earthy rosemary can be in a coffee. One of my favorite lattes I have ever had has rosemary in it. This was just not working for me. I shamefully did not finish my coffee. As for my girlfriend, she did not like her ginger spice mocha. I could not imagine gingerbread syrup not working in a mocha, but after trying it myself it was not for me either. It seems like a perfect match, but here the gingerbread is competing with the chocolate and instead of complementing each other they clash. She told me that the flavors were "un-mocha like". She drank less than half of her coffee before tossing it as well. Neither of us wanted to dislike Lucky Lab. They seem well established and I felt like they were trustworthy based on reviews, but I wonder what these previous reviewers were tweaking on or what magical concoction of coffee granted from heaven above they were sipping on because we were distraught by how disappointing these drinks were. I would like to give Lucky Lab Coffee Co the benefit of the doubt and say that maybe the specialty drinks were not up to par with their traditional beverages. However, the almost 30 different syrup options on their wall make me feel they lack a little focus and try too hard to stand out. They lose what makes a coffee good, which is coffee. I want to say I will give them a second shot in the future to see if it was just an off day or a bad beverage pick. Too many shots turns a Lucky Lab into Old Yeller. The lab needs to be put on a leash before I think about returning. RIYL: options

We've been wanting to check out this shop for quite sometime and finally had the chance. From the minute we walked in the door the vibe was on! Our barista, Litsa was incredible! She was fun and bouncy and had so much positive energy. She even helped me create a concoction of sorts. Like most, lavender is my go-to. But, I also wanted toasted marshmallow and so I was torn. She suggested a combo of the two for my cappuccino (with oat milk of course). Wow! It was spectacular. I was so beyond miserable when I walked in the door (the rain) and she turned things around for me within 30 seconds of interacting. Her positivity and kindness were through the roof! My cappuccino concoction...so good I think it should be a menu feature! The banana guard iced latte my boyfriend got was equally as delicious. It was like an ice cream treat for grown-ups. Everything about the shop is so welcoming. Warm lighting, comfortable seating, and spacious. So much for the eye to take in as they have offerings from local artists and craftspeople for sale. The coffee "space" is compact here, but they're using good gear and seem to have the staff to use it well. They have seating out back, some spots out front, and inside. I come here to study, but it's also a great spot to have a time with family and friends. The true yelp topic, however, is the food. And let's just say I'm on board with what others have said. I have tried the burgers, fries, sweets/pastries, and of course the drinks. My favorite of all these is a brisket sandwich with their fries! The brisket itself has an amazing sauce which I heard is made in house. This sauce is also used on the burgers and if you order either with their amazingly seasoned fries you won't be disappointed! As for drinks, I loved the Mexicano latte, that's my personal favorite. The spices and the espresso is well balanced and is my go to drink. That said, it is my favorite. They also have a caramel latte, but it is on the sweeter side. It's good, but sweeter than my liking. As for any pastries you get, I tried some of their fan favorite which include the honey cake and wow! As a baker myself, I quite enjoyed this cake since it was moist and the frosting itself was the perfect consistency and texture. It was also not too sweet and not overly powerful, but added what it needed to the cake. Anyways, I come here often, and would recommend to those looking for a sweet spot to enjoy with family.
