Skip the common restaurant chains and visit this local spot for brunch. It's walking distance from the OSU Wexner Medical Center. Service was fast and friendly in a clean, fun atmosphere. They had so many great choices. It was really hard to pick just one menu item. The chicken was crispy and juicy and buffalo sauce was not overwhelming. The waffle was cooked just right and extra delicious with a side of stewed cinnamon apples.
The Garden Party was a delicious omelette with sautéed mushroom, arugula, tomato, pickled red onion, and swiss. I chose sourdough as my toast. We ordered for pickup, so I can't speak to the service or ambiance! Unfortunately, they did forget to include the orange juice and we pre-paid online:(
Omelet was well-proportioned vegetables were fresh, and overall taste was . Price was very fair. Sweet potato tots were ample, crispy on the outside and gooey and soft on the inside. Not sure what the sauce was that was included (in photo above) but it was too sweet for my liking. Quick delivery, packaged properly, so I'm assuming the service is good Highly recommend to anyone with a hankering for healthy, fresh breakfast staples.

This place can get crowded during prime brunch hours in fall and spring when the bulk of students are on campus. But to their credit, the staff keeps things moving, and you can get in and out in a reasonable time. For this trip, I baconed myself to bliss by having the Hog's Wash cocktail (bourbon, syrup, candied bacon... and maybe a splash of ginger) and then their The Road Not Bacon burger with two huge pieces of black pepper candied bacon. I liked both but I the cocktail was actually the greater of two goods in this case. I wish the burger had more bacon jam or some other condiment to "wet it up" a bit. My wife's chicken and waffles was darned good, too. Similar to my offerings, the waffle was good, but the chicken was that much better. And it's not a trip to HOE if you don't get a buttermilk biscuit. Those things at the Olde Town East location are addictive. The one's on campus didn't quite measure up this time.
Great experience at HangOverEasy! Our waitress Kylie was awesome! Attentive and helpful in suggesting places to visit on our short getaway. The area was a little deserted as it was Thanksgiving weekend and Ohio was playing at The Big House, but that worked out in our favor as there was no wait and the restaurant wasn't busy at all. Food was great! I got the season Pumpkin Cinnamon Roll pancakes. They're topped with a cinnamon cream cheese and were great as is - no syrup necessary. We ordered Trillionaire Bacon. I was worried I wouldn't like it because it was fairly thick cut and looked fatty, but looks are deceiving because it was delicious! Would definitely be back if we're ever in the area again. Ask for Kylie!
The food was amazing. The service was great and very family friendly. The menu was also fun to read. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good breakfast.
I've been craving pancakes so I decided to drop into HangOverEasy. It looked like the place was pretty full but thankfully the bar seating was open. I sat down and it didn't take long for a server to drop by and give me a menu. Straight away I ordered a black coffee. Honestly my first cup was pretty lukewarm but had good flavor. I ended up having 3 cups and the second 2 cups were good temp. While I was sitting there a different server asked if anyone at the bar would like the Bloody Mary she made. I thought that was pretty nice even though I passed. For breakfast I got my pancakes and a side of sausage. The pancakes were a double stack. They were fluffy and tasty. Really hit the spot. The sausage was one huge patty that had a nice hint of spice to it. I was very happy with my breakfast. Also I found my server to be very pleasant and twice I remarked she had read my mind bringing me things I had just opened my mouth to ask for. Gotta love that!
Delicious. I had the Greek omelette, he had the breakfast tacos with chorizo. Looked closed from the outside but was hopping inside. Get the aloha aloha... yummy!!
Small and busy college breakfast spot. Found this spot passing through town. Food was average. Service was good. Fast and friendly. I got the chicken and waffles. The chicken was like fried chicken tenders with buffalo type sauce. I personally did not care for the waffles underneath. They got a bit too soggy with the hot chicken sauce and juices placed on top. I personality could not handle the heat on the chicken. Needed ranch. Should have asked for the sauce on the side. The chicken fried steak was ok. Eggs were cooked and served as ordered. The drink was the highlight. Their menu was entertaining with the creative food options listed. The walls were covered with cool and amusing jokes and wall art as well. We parked on the street.
Country breakfast delicious. Was welcomed in and got seated right away for a party of 3. I ordered a CBH Hoemade corned beef. Delicious really good and recommended. I don't eat pork but had a lot of great options on their menu. Ordered a Vietnamese coffee with my breakfast definitely needed for my morning. They got country music playing and enjoyed our breakfast.
First timer: the atmosphere was super fun with lots of references to the acronym of their name. The food was great, service was quick and friendly. Not pictured, my friend's chicken and waffles. I loved what I got, but the chicken and waffles were so freaking good! Can't go wrong with anything here.

The food is overpriced. As a vegetarian, I ordered the dirty with the black bean patty. It was ice cold on my plate still. There was really nothing the waiter could do about it. The wait would've been too long to recreate it and there wasn't a microwave to warm my food. The hash is not as crispy as you would like it to be. The pancake was pretty typical, nothing special. This is a very cool place to have breakfast, I really enjoyed it. The friendliest service and tastiest food and drinks. I more than recommend coming here I want to go back again and again. Parking sucks like everyplace in Columbus. Great food fun atmosphere pace is always packed. read more

Hangover easy is a classic place to go at OSU's campus. It's a perfect place to go after exams or after a night out! I always get the hoe Benny which is my favorite for sure. But there are so many options so you will definitely find something you like. Their drinks are great too. It's a little crowded but they usually seat you pretty fast! read more

The service was very good. It took us a little to get seated but everyone was pleasant. The ambiance is similar to a diner and I just got a classic french toast and bacon so nothing stood out, but I was still apart of the clean plate club! I wish they had combos including protein with french toast/pancakes! read more

We had a great experience at HangOverEasy today! They do not take reservations, so I recommend joining the waitlist ahead of time. I found the waitlist underestimated how long it would take, so I would recommend putting your name in early. When we got there we were still seventh in line, but there were seats available at the bar so we sat there. The service was very fast and the food was amazing. The pancake was among the top pancakes I have ever had. It was big and fluffy and delicious. The eggs were also well cooked and seasoned. My sister loved her Hoe Benny. The breakfast potatoes were amazing and all the flavors complimented well. Overall, we had a great experience at HangOverEasy and plan to return soon. read more

You need to get here early or prepare to wait but believe that it's worth the wait. The place gets really packed quick. My sister had the Pollo Party and she loved it. I had the chicken fried steak. The steak was cooked perfectly, eggs and HOE fries were well seasoned. Get yourself some merch too while you're at it because they are hilarious. read more
Went here for Saturday breakfast and it was hoppin'! Hostess said it would be a half hour wait but it was only about 10 minutes which was a pleasant surprise. It's super loud inside but that's to be expected! Service was great and food was good too...basic diner offerings. I got a BYO (build your own) omelet with a biscuit (you get to choose toast, English muffin, or biscuit as your side). The omelet was great - highly recommend getting the hoe fries inside - yum! Wish I would have chosen a different bread side though, as my biscuit was burnt on the top. Overall a solid choice for the campus area. read more
If you like your home fries made crispy and not soggy this is the place... Just ask for extra crispy and trust me it's delicious! My husband got their signature breakfast sandwich on a doughnut that looked amazing and I was incredibly jealous to be gluten-free LOL but my eggs were cooked perfectly, and my bacon was not greasy and not overly crisp - just perfect! Stopped here for breakfast before a football game and oh man was it packed! Luckily there was only 2 of us, so we were seated rather quickly. The prices are decent, and they have a good selection of boozy breakfast drinks to suit a pre-game crowd. We weren't all that hungry, but decided to try the breakfast tacos with a side of bacon. I was surprised at how quick the food came out. The cream sauce drizzled on top made the tacos for me, and the bacon had a nice crunch -- although only 3 pieces for $3.99. Overall, service and food were both quick. They do have garage style windows lining behind the bar area that open up to allow for the patrons waiting for seats, to grab drinks while standing outside. It was about 35 degrees out and they still had them open when we were there so I would advise wearing a jacket! read more

I have been waiting to write my review for this place; it's the best breakfast I've EVER had at a restaurant! The atmosphere, location, staff, and food was outstanding! I always enjoy trying local breakfast spots when I travel and I can whole heartedly say that this is my all time favorite. If you are able, you have to try anything with biscuits!!! They were huge and delicious I could have eaten so many of them. Parking is easily located and accessed behind the building and it worked out great! Cannot recommend enough! read more
We were seated and served quickly. The BELT was amazing beyond words. Crispy bacon, excellent aioli, and it was huge. Fries were very salty but still good. My friend enjoyed her omelette, but the coffee was pretty bitter. Only really complaint is how close the seating is to other tables. read more
WOW! Breakfast was absolutely amazing. We had to wait 40min and so glad we did. Great option to put your name in and get a text when your table is ready. Hostess and servers are awesome!!! I loved the atmosphere. Great background music and tons of amusing wall hangings. The wait on a Saturday morning was long(45 mins). Based on that, I figured this place must be amazing. While we waited, we had coffee at the counter (standing / waiting). The guy behind the counter was very polite and friendly. I was really jazzed now! Finally the time came where we were seated. The waitress was super friendly and quite talkative (even though the place was really busy) We ordered our food, it came out in very reasonable time. All in all, the food was OK. As I looked around the portion size of some of the dishes were enormous ( the burrito is easily shared ) The food was being prepared and served at a fast pace and with that in consideration, I am willing to give them another try when they aren't so busy. I do want to recognize the staff - in all the busy flurry of customers, we never felt overlooked. In fact, they were quite amazing how much attention they paid to the customers. read more

Yummm, We stopped in here on our way back home and was not disappointed. Our waitress was super sweet and very attentive although they were fairly busy. I tried the HOEburger while my husband had the Black and Blu burger, both were great. The kids had some breakfast items and there were no complaints from them either. Also the hoodie they sell is super comfy. read more
Came here with my friends because it was spirit week at the dental school so we got a discount! They served lunch at 10 am so I was excited about that! The service was good. The Mac and cheese was really cheesy and the chicken was great! The portions were pretty big too! read more
I've been meaning to come here, but the hours and location make it difficult. Had my chance, grabbed it, would happily go back. Parking is awful, as you might expect. I lucked on an open spot- with lots of time remaining. Walked in at 1 on a weekday, seated immediately. Friendly and fast service all through. Bigger than it looks from the outside. Some outdoor seating, looks like. Full bar, with interesting specials. Didn't see the beer selection. I had to get the biscuits and gravy, of course. The menu is standard breakfast and brunch fare, heavy on the breakfast. There are other things I'd try, but I love sausage gravy, and had to at least try it. The biscuits are large and dense. The gravy was thick with sausage, and very savory. I added a little hot sauce, but just because I like it, not because anything needed flavor (they have Tapatio, which I like.) I saw a little bacon in there, but that might have been accidental. Two eggs on top, cooked a little softer than I wanted. I'd come back. Bring the family? Maybe. It's pretty much a student place, not set up for kids, but we might give that a go. read more
Cute campus brunch spot. Came here with 4 other gals one Sunday morning after a night out in Columbus. Confirmed that their breakfast does cure all. Personally had the Chicken Chorizo Skillet with eggs over easy. Yum! Only criticism I had was that the potatoes were a little dry. Nothing a little ketchup can't fix. Was very good, but will probably order the Hoe Benny next time. My friend ordered that and said it was amazing too. The consensus is you can't go wrong with either though. Overall, cute diner feel with quality food. Staff was super friendly and worked hard. Wait time at 10am on a Sunday was just short of a half hour. Will definitely be back! read more
We came here because we've heard good things and reviews. It was pretty busy this day and parking was a bit hard. We were seated at the bar, which was fine. We got one of the skillets and the Reuben sandwich. The Reuben was pretty greasy and the bread was a bit soggy. The meat wasn't very flavorful and not filling. The sausage skillet was lacking a lot of flavor and seasoning. We were a bit disappointed in our food. I love breakfast foods because it usually is made good and isn't complicated, so I was surprised at how disappointed I was. I thought services was decent, but it seemed like everyone was busy and didn't care to stop and check the bar area. There's a decent amount of space to sit, parking is usually garage or street, and there's no WiFi that we noticed. The atmosphere and area is really nice and chill, so I did like the environment. read more
Love reminiscing on campus and visiting our favorite college spots like HOE. The place itself has had a bit of a facelift including front door garage to open up to patio and the food remains consistent and delicious. Most of the menu even have the same menu item names! My go to 12 years ago was the angry egg and stays the same today. Good mix of their delicious potatoes, scrambled eggs and English muffin. They've lessened the butter on the muffin but you can always ask for more! Hubby got the breakfast burrito sub black bean for chorizo. Up charge of $2.50 for the black beans which is kinda annoying given it's a sub for the chorizo not additional. I love that the tables come equipped with ketchup, mustard and several hot sauces including cholula, sriracha and Tabasco. They always have seasonal pancakes that sound great. Service is efficient. No reservations so get there early to put your name down and you need the full group to actually be seated. Street parking or nearby garages available. read more
This was the location on Ohio State's campus and being a visitor it was nice to see so much Ohio State pride here. When we walked in we were greeted and seated immediately. The ambiance of the servers and the guests was nice it reminds me of my undergrad local breakfast shop! The food was really heavy so if you're not in the mood for something heavy dont go. The food was really good- we ordered the breakfast quesadilla, not pictured, and the CBH. Usually when I have corned beef hash the corned beef is ground beef like texture. But I loved this corned beef because it was actual chunks of the corned beef! Egg cooked however you wanted and my go to is always over easy so the runny yolk over the whole dish brought it together. HangOverEasy is the perfect place to get a great comfort meal the morning after a late night out. Their Hoe Benny is my go to. The combination of eggs, chorizo, avocado, and queso makes a great flavorful guilty pleasure. The potatoes are always cooked well with great flavors. read more
