Skip the common restaurant chains and visit this local spot for brunch. It's walking distance from the OSU Wexner Medical Center. Service was fast and friendly in a clean, fun atmosphere. They had so many great choices. It was really hard to pick just one menu item. The chicken was crispy and juicy and buffalo sauce was not overwhelming. The waffle was cooked just right and extra delicious with a side of stewed cinnamon apples.
The Garden Party was a delicious omelette with sautéed mushroom, arugula, tomato, pickled red onion, and swiss. I chose sourdough as my toast. We ordered for pickup, so I can't speak to the service or ambiance! Unfortunately, they did forget to include the orange juice and we pre-paid online:(
Omelet was well-proportioned vegetables were fresh, and overall taste was . Price was very fair. Sweet potato tots were ample, crispy on the outside and gooey and soft on the inside. Not sure what the sauce was that was included (in photo above) but it was too sweet for my liking. Quick delivery, packaged properly, so I'm assuming the service is good Highly recommend to anyone with a hankering for healthy, fresh breakfast staples.

This place can get crowded during prime brunch hours in fall and spring when the bulk of students are on campus. But to their credit, the staff keeps things moving, and you can get in and out in a reasonable time. For this trip, I baconed myself to bliss by having the Hog's Wash cocktail (bourbon, syrup, candied bacon... and maybe a splash of ginger) and then their The Road Not Bacon burger with two huge pieces of black pepper candied bacon. I liked both but I the cocktail was actually the greater of two goods in this case. I wish the burger had more bacon jam or some other condiment to "wet it up" a bit. My wife's chicken and waffles was darned good, too. Similar to my offerings, the waffle was good, but the chicken was that much better. And it's not a trip to HOE if you don't get a buttermilk biscuit. Those things at the Olde Town East location are addictive. The one's on campus didn't quite measure up this time.
Great experience at HangOverEasy! Our waitress Kylie was awesome! Attentive and helpful in suggesting places to visit on our short getaway. The area was a little deserted as it was Thanksgiving weekend and Ohio was playing at The Big House, but that worked out in our favor as there was no wait and the restaurant wasn't busy at all. Food was great! I got the season Pumpkin Cinnamon Roll pancakes. They're topped with a cinnamon cream cheese and were great as is - no syrup necessary. We ordered Trillionaire Bacon. I was worried I wouldn't like it because it was fairly thick cut and looked fatty, but looks are deceiving because it was delicious! Would definitely be back if we're ever in the area again. Ask for Kylie!
The food was amazing. The service was great and very family friendly. The menu was also fun to read. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good breakfast.
I've been craving pancakes so I decided to drop into HangOverEasy. It looked like the place was pretty full but thankfully the bar seating was open. I sat down and it didn't take long for a server to drop by and give me a menu. Straight away I ordered a black coffee. Honestly my first cup was pretty lukewarm but had good flavor. I ended up having 3 cups and the second 2 cups were good temp. While I was sitting there a different server asked if anyone at the bar would like the Bloody Mary she made. I thought that was pretty nice even though I passed. For breakfast I got my pancakes and a side of sausage. The pancakes were a double stack. They were fluffy and tasty. Really hit the spot. The sausage was one huge patty that had a nice hint of spice to it. I was very happy with my breakfast. Also I found my server to be very pleasant and twice I remarked she had read my mind bringing me things I had just opened my mouth to ask for. Gotta love that!
Delicious. I had the Greek omelette, he had the breakfast tacos with chorizo. Looked closed from the outside but was hopping inside. Get the aloha aloha... yummy!!
Small and busy college breakfast spot. Found this spot passing through town. Food was average. Service was good. Fast and friendly. I got the chicken and waffles. The chicken was like fried chicken tenders with buffalo type sauce. I personally did not care for the waffles underneath. They got a bit too soggy with the hot chicken sauce and juices placed on top. I personality could not handle the heat on the chicken. Needed ranch. Should have asked for the sauce on the side. The chicken fried steak was ok. Eggs were cooked and served as ordered. The drink was the highlight. Their menu was entertaining with the creative food options listed. The walls were covered with cool and amusing jokes and wall art as well. We parked on the street.
Country breakfast delicious. Was welcomed in and got seated right away for a party of 3. I ordered a CBH Hoemade corned beef. Delicious really good and recommended. I don't eat pork but had a lot of great options on their menu. Ordered a Vietnamese coffee with my breakfast definitely needed for my morning. They got country music playing and enjoyed our breakfast.
First timer: the atmosphere was super fun with lots of references to the acronym of their name. The food was great, service was quick and friendly. Not pictured, my friend's chicken and waffles. I loved what I got, but the chicken and waffles were so freaking good! Can't go wrong with anything here.

First time eating here. Due to Covid, I didn't eat inside but ordered curbside instead. I ordered a Gingerbread pancakes and The Dirty breakfast burrito with a side of gravy. It was yummy! I would definitely order from here again. Good portions and flavors we're wonderful!! read more

I've always heard good things about hangover easy so I thought it was about time to give it a try. We went on a week day so we were seated right away which was nice. Inside it has an old diner type of feel. The food was good I had the breakfast quesadilla and hind sight looking at everyone else's food I wish I got something more exciting but it was delicious non the less. I will say we got our food quickly but had to wait for silverware to be available which was an unusual ordeal. I also had a spicy Bloody Mary I thoroughly enjoyed on lunch, don't tell my boss. read more

Patio is very small but they let me do a to go order and eat on the bench out front. No alcohol there, but that's no problem since it was before noon. I got the chicken and chorizo skillet, and it was wonderful. Think I ate the whole thing. It was quite busy on a weekday morning. Still it didn't take too long. This is a great breakfast spot for all you foodies. read more

We were in town for the Buckeyes game. Everything here looked delish so we checked it out for a late breakfast. I had the chicken and waffles and a mimosa, my husband had the breakfast tacos, the hoe-tatos and a screwdriver. Food was as good as it looks and the whole vibe of the place is awesome! The Low Down omelet was fully of diced onions and green peppers and what tasted and was thoroughly cooked (read: not crispy pork belly like I imagined) like regular pork sausage. It was lacking in salt. Topped w avocado and sriracha and black pepper. Side of tough white toast. Total for this plus breakfast burrito was just under $18. The burrito was a huge PITA to eat and must be done messily with a fork and knife and spoon due to the sauce being on the outside and not on the dry potato-laden inside where it would be way better suited. The chorizo is mildly spicy. There is some egg but not enough in the burrito. Very disappointing and dry. read more
I had heard good things about this place so decided to give it a try. Parking was street parking, wasn't too busy on a Sunday morning surprisingly. We ordered the chicken and waffles and the french toast. I got a small side of sugared pears to eat with the waffles. I wasn't a huge fan of the french toast and the chicken waffles was alright. The chicken pieces with the waffles were small and not as crispy as I thought they would've been. The toast was fluffy and good with the regular maple syrup. The place has diner vibes which is cute but felt the seating was very jammed together. read more

This is a must try! Whenever we're in Columbus we always come here for brunch. It's absolutely popping on a Saturday morning and the wait times can be long (we waited almost an hour at 12 pm aka busiest time) but it's SO worth the wait. The servers are super friendly and very attentive and sweet although because of the sheer volume of customers they can get swamped. But don't let that pull you away from coming here because bottom line is the experience and food is spectacular and you won't find better hangover diner food anywhere else read more

Glad we got on the wait list. Walked in and got seated immediately. Grapefruit mimosa was excellent. Water tastes great. Service fast and friendly. Menu is on QR code. Chicken and waffles very good flavor. There was no heat, but still good flavor. read more

They do make the hangover easier. Food is fantastic. Service was great. If you're looking for "quiet" due to a severe hangover, let's say, probably not the place for you. It's a little loud but it was still a great overall experience. read more

We had a great experience even on a busy Saturday morning! There was a little bit of a wait for 6 people, but that is to be expected on gameday! We were seated pretty quickly and the service was great. Our server was super friendly! The food was served quickly and was so good! I wanted the sausage skillet last time I went and they were out, so I was so excited to try it this time. Hot sauce on too completed it! read more

I feel like if you have 'over easy' in your name you should be able to cook an over easy egg. This was not the case. When I cut into my egg raw egg whites poured out. When I talked to the server she told me that's how over easy eggs are cooked and the whites are solid only if you get over medium/hard. Pretty sure you're not supposed to eat raw egg whites and pretty sure the firmness of the yolk is what easy/medium/hard refers to. The rest of the dish was ok. Corned beef was really good but the potatoes seemed dry to me. read more

If you are coming here for a healthy start to the day-- turn around. This is the place you go when you are hungover and need something GREASSSYYYY. This was exactly what I was looking for and boy it did not disappoint. I loved every second of it. The portions are very karge and everything is pretty cheap. The mimosa towers are also really good. Our waitress was funny (def an oia college student). Overall a very lowkey, relaxed place. read more

Ordered the black bean burger and boy ole boy. Honestly the worst food i think ive ate in my entire life. Presentation was not on point at all and the burger was undercooked. Literally looked like a slab from the freezer microwaved and thrown on a toasted bun and served. Ordered 2 burgers for a total of $30 for it to only end up in the trash can. Can't even call the resturant either, just all around not a great experience and drunk or not drunk id never eat here as a vegetarian. read more

One of my favorite spots in Columbus. The menu is hilarious and is sure to give you some laughs. The atmosphere is so chill it's perfect. I love the food, great stuff. I got the sloppy seconds and it did not disappoint me. The service was good even though they were busy on a Sunday. This place does get pretty busy on game days though so be careful. We didn't have to wait too long at all though which was great. And they have benches outside for seating. The bar area was fine to sit at too because you can see outside so that was cool. They even have bar seating that sits outside. It's just a cool set up and I love it. The prices honestly aren't terrible. They are lower than other brunch places. I'll be back again soon! Ugh, Columbus. I wanted to give this place three stars, but I liked our waitress. She was really nice and filled up my coffee which was really good by the second pour. Also, we got here around 9:30 on a Wednesday morning and there was no wait. Lots of empty tables and just a few groups here and there. I would suggest coming on a weekday if you can and checking Google's bar graph of busyness. The space is small so I truly understand long waits for this place. But I'm going to be honest, this is nothing exceptional. It's pretty standard food and not really worth a second visit. I'm not sure if these other Yelpers have had super awesome brunch because everyone on here is raving about it and seriously, you can skip out on coming here because it's nothing special. The interiors reminded me of an actual subway station. Hate the subway tile with black grout, and weird art that I couldn't quite appreciate. Sorry, but no. It made the place seem dirty even though it probably wasn't. The cheap prices are a selling point, but if you're a true foodie don't come here. I got the eggs benny which is a great way to measure whether brunch at a restaurant is even worth it. I asked for no queso, but guess what?? They still put it on there, including an accidental sprinkle of cheese. Sigh. It was good though. I replaced the home fries with fruit and that was seriously amazing! They had a good variety in there: pineapple, bananas, strawberries, melons. So they get some points for that. Im sure college students will flock here because they're too naive to know what good brunch tastes like. But I guess if you're actually hungover when you come here you won't give a crap because you're hungry anyway. read more
Despite the wait, the trip was worth it! Their service is fast as the food is drool worthy. Their HOE fries are giant skillet cooked potatoes, a great complement to your breakfast. Their April special Frutti Pebble Pancakes tasted like heaven! It was basically a giant donut with fluffy texture and slight crispy edge. The Millards 100 % maple syrup from Akron County Ohio was served warm and completed the pancakes. HOE Benny was my Absolute favorite items we ordered. You can easily substitute any meat item with either black beans or the black bean patty to make it vegetarian read more

A fun new place to try. Parking was a bit of a chore. But on the street is fine just pay attention to city signs to avoid tickets. The staff was great. Very friendly and helpful when ordering. Loved the food. Faster to eat at the counter than wait for a table. Go early or expect a wait. Outside seating is an option. read more
Holy cow, what a cute little place for Sunday brunch! I visited on a recommendation from my landlord, and I really don't know why I hadn't ventured out on my own before that. It was a nice, inexpensive, quick-serve diner that serves as a nice breath of fresh air from the rather bougie Columbus brunch scene. We came late into the brunch rush, but were seated at the outdoor bar within 15 minutes. It was a nice day out (the random summer day in the middle of November), so I was really excited to be able to eat and enjoy the nice weather. It was pretty standard diner fare, but being from New Jersey (aka the land of diners), I felt right at home. The service was quick and exactly what you would expect from a quick service diner. The coffee was hot and strong - I wish I could have tried a mimosa but studying always gets in the way. I ordered the breakfast quesadilla and I couldn't have been happier with the decision. It was a huge amount of food for the cost and extremely filling. The eggs were perfectly cooked, and I piled them on top of the quesadilla so that the yolk would run over. This place is surely worth a visit, especially if you're a brunch-lover in a hurry. The wait can look daunting but it really does go quickly. The food is well-priced and delicious! I can't wait to be back in Columbus so I can eat here again. read more
This is such a fun local brunch spot where you can actually get the most bang for your buck. $4 wells bloody mary, $20 mimosa pitchers, and inexpensive but tasty brunch options. Its hard to find a brunch spot on a weekday. We were in from out of town on a work trip and wanted the option to have brunch food. The chicken and waffles were great and i loved my bloody mary. Easy there buckeye, hang over not required. Whether you are feeling sick, sober, or plain ol' jolly in the morning, this gem of a breakfast diner is the perfect solution. My first real meal in Columbus came from this place! I met my new staff for the first time here at OSU and was surprised that this eatery was something easily accessible on campus. Every morning, the line stretches out the door, and for good reason too. Buckeyes sure know where to go get some delicious Western breakfast. My group of five were seated within fifteen minutes- not too shabby considering how popular it gets. I was eyeing the $4 mimosas on the walls, but decided against it on a "nice to meet you" basis. However, the next time I return, know that I'll likely be tossing back a few of these to get my morning started. They've got all the essentials- eggs, pancakes, waffles... CHICKEN and waffles. Mmm, everything smelled and looked delicious. I opted for the Sausage Skillet ($8) which came with toast and your choice of eggs. The skillet was definitely up there in terms of a good breakfast! There was a great mix of meat, veggies, eggs and cheese that covered it all. Not to mention, the sizzling made the food taste even better. The portion was huge and I barely touched half of it before deciding to box it up. Perhaps it was the nervousness I had in meeting my new staff that made me forget my breakfast. Nonetheless, I was ecstatic to have leftovers for later that evening. Easily accessible on Neil and perfect for a Sunday brunch! Love this spot. They've redone it since I went to college here but it very trendy. Creative menu for breakfast featuring lots of chorizo and queso. I recommend the blood Mary with Tito's, it's a bit spicy. You'll pull up and it will look swamped but it doesn't take as long as you would think to get sat. Parking is tricky because it's a college campus so give yourself time to find a meter. They always have food and drink specials so be sure to ask what they are. I recommend the chicken and waffles but you can't go wrong with anything. read more
