Eeeek, not going back to this place. The supervisor was so rude. My daughter didn't like the tea I ordered for her, and she expressed it to the cashier. The supervisor barged in and said "Well you ordered it." Rudeness comment aside, the grass jelly I ordered was disgusting, I cannot take it. The tea was meh, nothing worth raving about. I suggest driving a little further up Huntington and grab your tea from Why Thirsty instead. They have wayyy better selection of drinks and food. read more

Pandemic review! Have been there a couple times since coming back to the SGV. I frequent this location due to proximity to my home. Overall remains a solid choice for your boba fix. Drinks are good, boba nice and chewy. I always get half sugar. During covid, they ask that only one person per group go in and order, which seems reasonable for the small interior space. In a pleasant surprise, they offer a free metal straw with a purchase of $10 or more so you have the option of going a little more environmentally friendly. They're a little blunt on the end but I imagine this limits their liability from any accidental poking. I do miss the fat cups though for nostalgia purposes! read more

Half and Half has always been one of my favorites since I was introduced to it years ago. My usual is the ice milk drink with grass jelly and boba. My only complaint about it is that I wish the grass jelly was broken up more. It's hard to drink it all because it comes in a big chunk. This location can get busy at times. I've ordered by phone before but it honestly didn't seem to save much time. It would be 5 stars if their prices didn't keep going up! I'm so surprised that I don't have a review for this location yet. I come here a lot on my way to and from the Santa Anita Mall. Also there is never a line (hopefully I don't jinx that) and I can be in and out of the place in 15 minutes. That's miles better than the other popular location nearby (*cough* on Atlantic *cough*), which I have waited at for a good hour before. Love their top 10, I try to try different things from there every once in a while. This particular time I had the passion fruit tea with the vanilla tea latte and honey boba. Also this drink has a lid (versus that vacuum sealed plastic). Anyone know why? I also had the lychee tea with lychee jelly and aloe off their top 10 menu. The sea salt add-in is pretty good too. My go -to drink, however, is the iced milk with strawberry, pudding, and honey boba. I like that the strawberry gives some flavor to it since it's basically just ice and milk. Just discovered an taro pudding add-on so will have to try it next time. Friendly workers, a few places to sit (inside and out) and plenty of parking. It's next to a B-mans and a Starbucks so you can also grab a quick meal here too. But the short lines will always draw me back to this location. read more

I love the hot honey boba at this place but I feel like the quality has gone down and is not worth it for the price. I came here today because I saw that they had a BOGO on certain drinks. I got the red guava black tea and added sea salt cream and honey boba with less sugar and less ice. Even with less ice, there was still a lot of ice. And I didn't think that less sugar would make it taste that bitter since fruit teas tend to be pretty sweet. The total for two drinks was about $8 after bogo, but it would've been $13 without it. Honestly I only come here when there's bogo now or when they have a free upgrade to large during the summer. Iced milk with honey boba and pudding: 4/5: has a rich creamy flavor and consistency. its not too sweet and the boba & pudding add a nice sweetness to it. The only downfall is the pudding, its gigantic chunks so unless you break it down you won't have any pudding. Also the gigantic chubby cups don't fit in your cupholders so you have to hold it in between your thighs when driving or someone has to hold it for you. =( As much as i love this place, i hate the line. but i do want to try other boba places to compare ice milk and boba! I love this bubble tea spot. They have such chewy delicious Boba bubbles in their Bobas. They serve it in large cups. I always add their honey pudding. Their pudding is warm and is melt in your mouth. Their shaved ice dish is sweet and refreshing. However, I would just recommend sticking to their Boba drinks. After all, their boba drinks are their specialty and it is much more delicious than their shaved ice selection. Please note, use their rewards card to receive a free drink! The interior is sweet and playful, just like their drinks. I would like the space to be a bit more larger. If the shop could sit larger groups of people, it would be a great hang out spot. I generally like Half and Half ... or that's to say I generally give them about a 3 star rating, being that they are a decent boba joint (and one of the few that's open late). This place has the same quality drinks, but the air inside reminded me of being in a sauna or a room with a jacuzzi in it. It was entirely too stuffy - i have no idea how people were studying in there ... I couldn't stand it for more than a few minutes. Yas. Half & Half has done it again! This past weekend was one of hottest in a while and since I was in the 626 area, a rare occasion, I had to stop at one of my favorite boba joints! That iced milk drink keeps bringing me back! Today I got the glass jelly and honey boba iced milk drink ($4.50ish) and it was fabulous!! It's got that qq chewy texture going on and the milk part is yummy too! If you're new to Half & Half and are unsure of what to get, the Iced milk drinks are a must try or any of the others on the top 10 board. The regular size is usually enough for me but there's an option for a large size as well. The shop is smallish but has a few tables. Service is good enough and what I like is that by the pickup area, if you need something, you can just honk a horn and they come over. It's kinda silly but I think it's pretty creative :) read more

I'm a boba addict, and this is one of my favorite spots! Their boba is always perfectly sweet and chewy, unlike other places that sometimes have bland boba if you come at the wrong time. The line moves quickly, and I never have to wait more than 10 minutes for my drink. The prices are also really good, not to mention that the regular size here is the same as a large at many other places. Although, I'll admit that I still sometimes get the "super size" (+$0.85) when I'm feeling extra ambitious... There's a $10 minimum for credit cards and phone orders. And they're strict about this. If your order is $9.99, you're gonna have to buy a 5 cent bag or something. I'm vegan (but I eat honey), so I love that they have the option to substitute soy milk in the fresh milk drinks. You can't do this for the normal milk drinks though, since those are made with non-dairy creamer (which isn't necessarily vegan since it may have milk protein). I also try to avoid caffeine, so my favorite non-caffeinated drinks are the red guava juice and the wintermelon fresh milk tea (sub soy milk). They also changed their cups to be narrower at the bottom!! Now it fits in my car cup holder, which is greatly appreciated. Although I had gotten pretty good at driving with one hand and holding a huge cup of boba in the other. The only cons: If you're looking for a drink with fresh fruit, you won't find that here. This also isn't a good place to study or work since there's no free WiFi, and the seating area only has hard wooden benches and low coffee tables. read more

This is definitely one of the must-visit boba places in the 626 area. Their big, round cups and classic iced milk with hot honey boba and egg pudding have stayed popular for a reason. Other drinks I would highly recommend are milk tea or the passion green tea vanilla latte. The drinks are always carefully made with delicious ingredients that you can taste the difference in right away compared to the super cheap $2 boba places. Plus for the price and huge cup, it's a great deal. Definitely give them a try! You won't be disappointed. Pro tip: keep in mind that although they have a large parking lot, it gets busy awfully fast with the Starbucks and Trader Joe's so exercise caution and patience while parking. I love half and half so much! With such a wide variety of options, it's hard to choose from. I either always default to Yogurt green tea, or I like their milk foam green/oolong tea. I feel that their's is better than 85's or 7 leaves' sea foam tea. Their giant cups also make you feel like your boba tea is worth all the value. If you feel like you don't want to ingest that extra amount of sugar (but then why are you getting boba?!), you should opt for half sugar. After I moved to Vegas for school, I haven't really had the chance to visit this half and half. It's been a good two years since I've been to this location, and boy, did they change things up. They now have cute seating along the wall. This helps when there are a bunch of people waiting for drinks; there are now enough seats to accommodate everyone. THEY HAVE ALSO CHANGED THEIR CUPS!!! I still remember when they first came out with their tub cups and how they never fit our car cup holders. But their new upgraded versions fit!!! It's a little bittersweet, but definitely good for drivers. Their ice milk drink is second to none. It's a drink I can always count on to be consistent. (Though they are consistently sweeter than I would like haha.) Their boba is also sweet and chewy and warm--all the things vegas boba still has to learn. Came here on the way from lunch since it was the closest to the freeway and decide I wanted some boba. Normally half and half Pasadena or Arcadia near the mall is my go to but this was closer. First I placed a phone order which normally would be there waiting if I was about 5-10 minutes away. This was certainly not the case. I ordered two drinks which wasn't made when I got there after. I had to wait about 5 minutes before my drinks were made. Normally I'd be ok with it but this time was an exception, we ordered a milk tea with boba and a bo's coffee. The milk tea we ordered didn't have boba so by the time I drank it I was about 3 miles away and my bo's coffee was a coffee disguised as a milk tea. Milk tea with a hint of coffee. This store is much bigger than other locations and the customer flow is better. I had a really friendly cashier who offered me a drink suggestion: kumquat lemonade with aloe and basil seeds. I really liked this combination and it was less than $5. Pick up was easy at the front of the store and drinks came out fast. They also offer a loyalty card, for a free drink after a 10-drink purchase. There are a plethora of tea shops in the SGV area but only a few of them offer excellent service and value such as this one. I plan to visit again to try their other staff recommendations! read more

Glad there's now a Half & Half in the same lot as the Trader Joe's that we frequent. I've been to the Monterey Park-Atlantic Blvd. location a few times but didn't care for how crowded it always was and the parking situation over there. I really do like the quality of Half & Half tea drinks & their honey boba, so the convenience of this location will work for me. I usually go with a fruity green tea but saw #10 on the "popular items" menu. A vanilla latte topper? Sounded interesting. It was. It didn't make the drink overly sweeter which I liked. But, I'll stick with just ordering just the tea from now on. It's a small tea bar, but there's tables on the outside too. The two workers inside were very pleasant and quick with my order. I came here for the first time while visiting LA last week, and I can say this place definitely lived up to the hype! I ordered the wintermelon milk tea with honey boba and egg pudding, 75% sugar and 50% ice. Although the price at $6+ for a regular cup is a bit steep, the cup is pretty huge, and I didn't feel like I was being ripped off at all (honestly, it's probably still a better deal than most boba places in NorCal). The sweetness of the tea and toppings was perfect, and I can honestly say that this was the best honey boba I've ever had; it was warm, sugary, and a perfectly chewy consistency. My only complaints are that it felt like they skimped on the egg pudding a little, and the boba hardened and lost its warm, chewy texture as the drink cooled. Overall, I would give 4.5/5 stars if I could! If I'm ever back in LA, I'll be sure to give this place another try and ask for 0% ice to see if the boba retains its perfect consistency. read more

Randomly came by with a yelp search. Would not return to this location ever again. Smell of bleach permeates upon entry. The menu offers lots of choices but almost too many to become overwhelming. Hard to read and hard to identify what is tasty or popular. The line is poorly set up where you pass the pick up point to order the pick up towards the door. Ordered the coffee milk tea which tasted horrible and watered down. The yellow bean milk tea was fifty percent bean making it very difficult to drink and consume.. Also very bland in terms of the drink flavor. Service was acceptable but basically a bunch of young kids with no supervision. They called to use what appears to be an intercom system to bring patrons waiting outside in. All in all.. I do not recommend this location and would not return. read more
