I would give a ZERO star if I could. Ordered lunch at 11 AM to be delivered at 2.45 PM. You would think AMPLE notice to prepare and deliver a Gyro! NOT for these folks!!! They have the phone off the hook so it keeps giving me a busy signal for the last 45 minutes!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! read more

Really disappointed with this place they used to be so good and now it's not even close I ordered online and I got home to find that I was missing a pits and a extra sauce that I paid for and the sauce wasn't even that good it was missing garlic it tasted like plain yogurt definitely wont be coming back here rather spend a little extra at other places if you cant get the sauce right nothing else will taste as good read more

Delivery guy left food without calling and food was outside for about least 20 mins. When looked back at my camera I see him without gloves or a mask handling the the delivery! Insane and unsafe! I also left money and expected like every other restaurant delivery person to call and so I can tell how much change to leave. Well apparently he thought a $15 tip on a $35 order was his because again he never called just left my food outside unattended and took the money. I called and spoke to the owner who seemed to care less. Last time I order from them and I hope they don't get anyone sick. read more

Got food poisoning from the chicken gyro sandwich. And every that works there has a nasty attitude. Like I get it, we live in NYC. But at least try. read more

Used to be ok. But will not be ordering from here again. Took almost two hrs to get my food order delivered. The food was lukewarm at best. Only good thing was the pita. The bikteki has no flavor, lemon potatoes had no flavor and the gyro meat was dry. The only thing that could've even masked the tastelessness of this blah food wasn't even packed: no tzatziki sauce. Definitely don't recommend this place. It's sad at the drop in quality of this place! read more

Ok so I had their gyro many times prior to 3 days ago. I def thought this place had 1 of the best gyros around. Immediately following eating the gyro I became extremely gassy and had some minor stomach issues. That night 2am it started. Violent stomach aches and explosive diarrhea. I am actually just starting to eat solid foods again. I thought I had E-Coli. I def had some sort of food borne illness from this place. Unfortunately I will never ever eat there again. read more

Do NOT order from here. My order was supposed to be delivered between 4:58-5:05. I called them at 5:15 and the woman said it was on the way. I called back at 5:30 to cancel the order and the woman was very nasty. My food arrived at 5:37 and it's ice cold and they didn't provide any cutlery. How should I eat the cold food ? With my fingers? Waist of $21 and the food is going in the trash. I'll never order from them again. Smh. read more

I don't know what all the negative reviews are about. The food came out very delicious. They don't know what Greek food is. I'm a very critical reviewer and this deserves 5 stars. The calamari was very delicious. I will definitely order again soon. Give this restaurant a try. read more

I order food from the place gyro corner . Anyway the food was very cold and the driver was really late and when i ask him . Why u take 45 min to come to me from 33 ave To 35 ave is only 2 block's .. So if u going to get delivery from this place make sure to say don't send the arbic guy B.C. next day i did call and i say that The food was hot and i enjoy it . Gyro tasted overcooked and burnt. The gyro meat was pink and tasted old and dry, and the texture of the gyro was as if rocks were in my mouth. The french fries were soggy and undercooked, and the milkshake is overpriced for what you you really get, and the only good thing that was the soup but it is too tiny as if it should be for a child or is a children's sized soup! However, what tops the cake would the level of unprofessionalism of the boss on the phone and how disgusting she spoke to me. If that was the manager or whoever it was that lady should be fired ! If I could I would give this place zero stars !! Never again will I be ordering from a revolting place like this !! You're better off ordering from Fontana's if you're looking for Greek food that has good taste in cooking their food with care and is respectable to all their customers as if they were their own family. read more

There are a lot of Gyro places around here but I try to avoid this place even though it's close to my house. Their gyro is full of fat. And they cut their slices very thick. The tzatziki sauce is watery so it oozes out of the gyro. Instead of putting lettuce in the gyro they pile on the onion. Their French fries are soaked in oil that happens when the fries are cooked but they leave them in the fryer or they dunk cold cooked fries in the fryer again to heat it up. It's so disappointing that a place that is so convenient has such bad gyros. read more

these guys are as greek as you can get they smoke a pack of cigs with their morning coffee greek... food is always consistent this is a no frills all business greek eatery, if you are looking for a clean, bougie, all aesthetics type of place,? definitely not that place want meat with the mediterranean fixings? yup, this is that place read more

Eat here all of the time, whether with my family dining in or ordering delivery on my own!!! However, parking is not fun in this area!!! It can take a while to find street parking, and you can't park in the lots because you will be ticketed or towed (although I don't know from actual experience). The place is on a corner and is always packed! However, if we have to wait for a table, it usually doesn't take too long to be seated. They have really good gyro sandwiches, platters, etc. I also get their Greek salad, but not with chicken (it's always dry), but with the gyro-it's a bit of a different twist, but really good and flavorful. The waitresses working in there are very pleasant and the guys behind the counter are excellent and very attentive. If you are looking for a low-key, cheap place to eat, then this is it!!!! Enjoy! read more

I would give this place 0 stars if i could Bc of the nasty girl who claims to be the manager but i am still leaving 3 stars because this is a review only on their manager. She was unbelievably rude and had the nerve to call me rude and even told me not to order from them! I used to love this place but now i will never order from here again! I called because i needed to make a change request for something that they do not have as an option on UberEats and is something that i have done for years without a problem. I wanted to have haloumi as one of my options for their combo of 3 platter. I have literally made this change every single time i have ordered from them wether it was thru UberEats, by calling in the order directly or when eating in at the restaurant and also have been able to do it with no extra charge. This time she first told me that it was an extra $3 to do so which they have never done before but ok fine, she wants to charge me an extra $3 for it then so be it but then she goes on telling me that she STILL cannot do it even charging me the extra $3 because it is not an option on UberEats. She told me that she cannot add the $3 to my order so she won't be able to do it for me which is preposterous and i absolutely know is not true. I have worked as an office manager for a deli and as a catering manager managing 3 different catering companies that have both used UberEats and i have manually modified orders to add extra up charges when necessary so i personally know it is possible and have also only just yesterday ordered from a restaurant that had just manually added a $2 extra charge for one of my orders that i had made a change to that wasn't an option on UberEats with no problem at all. With being certain of this and seeing how she still would not do it, i then offered to even add something else from their UberEats menu that would add an extra $3 and that i would just note on the special instructions that it was for the haloumi extra charge and even STILL she refused to do it, saying that she cannot do it, so i asked her if it is that she can't do it or that she won't do it because she is too lazy because i have literally tried and offered to do this in every way possible to make it easy for her, so she then had the audacity to tell me that I was being rude and told me not to order from them and hung up on me! Unbelievable!! It is sad to see that a restaurant that i had held in such high accolades for yearrrssss since i was a little girl now has such a rude, indolent person managing them. I really hope the owner takes this review into serious consideration about what kind of person their manager is. As have been in the restaurant industry for 10+ years, i know how destructive having a bad manager can be for a place. Also i would like to add that this review is only to shine a light on their manager as their food (as far as up till the last time i had it) is still amazing and their customer service thus far until this experience had always been great as well, so please do not let this review affect your opinion in any other regard to Gyro Corner. read more

This is a great little Greek spot in the area. You can park in the lot and there is decent amount of seating. The prices here are affordable and decent. The food is amazing! Their gyros are amazing, I must say. I only started liking gyros when I started coming here a few years ago. Their spinach pie is crisp on the sides and tastes awesome with hot sauce. The salads here are super fresh and delicious. Love stopping here for lunch or for a pick up. read more

The best greek food at this price... anywhere. This is a essentially a diner but focused on greek fare. I dare anyone to find a better souvlaki platter or charcoal octopus. The service is polite and efficient. The portions are ample. The tzatziki sauce is just right. Warm pitas, simple crisp fresh greek salads, all the ingredients are fresh for that matter. They make a perfect gyro sandwich too. Of course you can get a nice burger or steak or if you're feeling truly uninspired some grilled chicken. However, I always believed that "When in Rome..." do as the damn Romans do! Otherwise why go to Rome. Get it? I recommend the basics: souvlaki, gyro, lemon potatoes, octopus, baklava, tzatziki, etc. I've been going to this place for over 20 years and there has yet to be a disappointing meal. One of my very favorite joints in Queens. DO NOT PARK IN THE STRIP MALL PARKING LOT NEXT DOOR. YOU WILL BE TOWED! read more

I would have rated this place okay, since I've eaten here a few times now. The food is usually tasty, although the shish kabob is a little dry sometimes. However, tonight we ordered delivery and there was a large bug in my husband's lemon potatoes. Luckily we found it before he started eating, but unfortunately I had already eaten all of mine! Kinda sucks because those lemon potatoes are delicious. read more

Spoke with owner about a beef kabab I spent $5.00 on looked stale and very small. His reply It comes with for pieces of meat, now I busy. Really four small pieces of meat for $5.00, I've been here a few times and noticed this before. Thank god I know how nasty the owner is, will never come here Again. Gyro Corner - Greek Near Me - Flushing, New York

Ordered a gyro plate and it was so dry it tasted and felt like rubber. Must have been old and not fresh at all. No napkins or any utensil. This was considered as one of their recommend plate but it was was a let down. read more

Not crazy about this Greek spot.. When I pick up my mom from work on Fridays, its just down the road, so sometimes we grab take-out for dinner. Food is always extra greasy, I know this isn't the healthiest food in the world, but on the grease side of things, its a bit overkill. The food isn't the best, I think Fontana's on Northern kills this place in food quality and value. Going to stick to Fontana's from now on. read more

If Gyro Corner were a Ski Mountain, it would be a double diamond trail. in the 12 years I have lived in the Bayside area, their food has gone down, down, down. Now I only ordered the chicken bob sandwich (which is on a pita) but it is currently horrendous. The chicken may appear juicy, but its just liquid on the outside. Cut a chunk open and its very dry. The extra chicken juice makes the tzatziki sauce so watery. The flavor is quite bland. If you order a milkshake, expect onions and/or lettuce to slap the back of your throat. I have had this problem twice personally, and can count several others who have also experienced this issue. read more

Went there at 9 pm and was served scrap food.. $55 later for 3 people (pretty good price)that got served HORRIBLE scrap gyro... the sausage was not eatable- it was old and nasty...we are long time steady customers so this is disappointing. Further more the owners don't give a crap about making their customers happy and aren't doing anything but chatting amongst themselves. I noticed one of the guys, manny was already done with work so this can have something to do with crappy food.. won't go there again unless I see manny behind the counter.. I really wish I didn't have to support the 2 owners by eating there (Cuz they are wack) but most of he time the food is great and cheap.. let's see next time read more

Delicious gyros!!! Fast delivery. A little pricy but after going to several different gyro places, they're all about the same price anyway! Their gyros are humongous and so good. This is the second best gyro place in the area. read more

Ordered Grubhub this evening. We got moussaka, grilled octopus, chicken souvlaki, and an order of cheese. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! Moussaka was sweet, cheese was salted (aside from its natural flavor), side salad was mostly onions, & souvlaki was "a sad soggy thing" as per my friend. The grilled octopus and lemon potatoes were good & we have yet to try the desert we ordered (rice pudding & galaktoboureko.) Utensils and napkins not included in take out order. Will not be ordering from here again! read more

Don't bother. Lamb taste old. Waiting an hour and a half for my order. When it finally came bread was soggy and fries cold.

There's always an argument in my family when we decide we want to get Greek take-out for dinner. The chicken kabobs from Gyro Corner are far superior to those at our usual spot, so if I want chicken instead of lamb, I fight hard! Their fries are better too. It's notable that the Gyro Corner is a smallish neighborhood joint, so expect it to be loud and crowded almost every night. And parking is tough too. read more

I placed an order on Seamless. It arrived 30 minutes late. The food was cold. Stay away from Gyro Corner.

Our delivery took over an hour to come. After calling and being told twice that our food was in route, they forgot two orders of food. Called them back and there was a lack of urgency or of care as we sat at the dinner table with two individuals without food. Once everyone finished eating it took an additional 20 minutes for those orders to come. You would assume the delivery guy would be apologetic, no. He called us to come outside. I'm guessing he wanted us to walk to his car to get our food? But we waited on the porch and he handed us the food, turned and hurried away. We will never be providing business to a food establishment that doesn't care or deserve it. Food was great. Customer service and care -0. read more

I picked up a gyro the other night and it wasn't that busy ... when I got home I realized the gyro meat was ALL pink on one side.... I've been eating gyros for a while I have never seen this... not sure why they would serve it like that ... the pita bread was so soggy by the time I got home (15 minutes) wouldn't go back to this place even though the guy behind the counter was very nice. read more

Best Greek food in Bayside! Friendly nice staff, food is always cooked well & not to much wait time, authentic Greek New York style dining!

I ordered a spinach pie today as I was eating it I found a piece of plastic in my food with a very sharp point this easily could've pierced my stomach if I had swallowed it never going back to this place again sorry even though the spinach pie was tasty I'm not taking that kind of risk again read more

Probably the best gyro and Greek in the Flushing/Bayside area. I would've given it 5 stars but the service is a bit spotty and the prices have gone up considerably making it less of a value. The gyro is fantastic and there is no other gyro place that gives you as much meat. I can't say the same for the souvlaki though as the pita sandwich only contains about 4 tiny bite sizes of meat. Still tasty though when it's not burnt. Another thing I like is the rice which comes with the platters. I'm not sure how it's prepared (maybe boiled in broth?!?!) but the rice is awesome. read more

Ordered a falafel sandwich. It's not the best looking appearance wise but tasty and has a spicy kick to it. I'm not sure if the tomatoes or sauce was runny but half of the pita bread was super soggy. I wonder if the platter would hold up better for delivery. Supposed to have arrived within 45-60 minutes but delivery took about an hour and 15 minutes. Also ordered the lemon chicken soup not completely filled as shown but very good and the cold stuffed grape leaves were also good. Overall experience was good. Would have given 5 stars if my sandwich wasn't so soggy (they may want to consider sending sauce on the side or ordering it in the side) and if food was delivered on time (To my disappointment, I already prepaid with a 28% tip on my credit card through delivery.com, as I had no cash to tip hoping for reasonable delivery time). read more

Very delicious Greek food. I ordered pretty late but I received my food on time and the delivery guy was super nice. I highly recommend this place. read more

A place that has been around for as long as I can remember, but only visited a couple of times. The food is good, a little bland compared to other places. The portions are pretty large, the gyro sandwich was stuffed with gyro meat and the mixed plate was pretty large. The souvlaki had a bit more flavor than the gyro because it had a nice grill flavor. The fries were good, nice and crispy. The service was OK, nothing to brag about. All in all it's a decent place to fulfill a craving, but Fontana's is more my style. read more

27$ worth of food and everything went to waste because they fucked up my order. I asked for dinner combo with beef and chicken and I got this gaymy lamb that ruined even the chicken. Fries are hard. All in all a horrible experience. read more

This is likely the best greek food in the area, and there is plenty of competition within only a mile radius! Aside from the usual greek gyro and other staples, I enjoy the fried fish platter. It really is perfect, with a side of lemon potatoes. The spinach pie is also very good-- not heavy or grease laden. Over the years as prices everywhere have sky rocketed, they have had their share of increases, and portions have been trimmed. However, their quality has not been sacrificed. read more

I've grown up in the whitestone, flushing, bayside my whole life and gyro corner was always there. it was one of the neighborhood staples. Well, that was then and this is now.. the last THREE times we ordered it (and you might be thinking, 3 times? wasn't once or twice enough?! .. but we ordered it so much for years, i had to keep making sure.. like maybe they had a bad night.. maybe it was crowded and that explains the ice cold, soggy, greasy ass food.. but nope.. that's what they sell now. It's always greasy, it's always soggy, it's like a rock in your stomach. I'm so sad and disappointed. I guess gyro corner is like an aging relationship... never as good as it once was. read more
