Ok so I had their gyro many times prior to 3 days ago. I def thought this place had 1 of the best gyros around. Immediately following eating the gyro I became extremely gassy and had some minor stomach issues. That night 2am it started. Violent stomach aches and explosive diarrhea. Do NOT order from here. My order was supposed to be delivered between 4:58-5:05. I called them at 5:15 and the woman said it was on the way. I called back at 5:30 to cancel the order and the woman was very nasty. My food arrived at 5:37 and it's ice cold and they didn't provide any cutlery. How should I eat the cold food ? I order food from the place gyro corner . Anyway the food was very cold and the driver was really late and when i ask him . Why u take 45 min to come to me from 33 ave To 35 ave is only 2 block's .. Gyro tasted overcooked and burnt. The gyro meat was pink and tasted old and dry, and the texture of the gyro was as if rocks were in my mouth. The french fries were soggy and undercooked, and the milkshake is overpriced for what you you really get, and the only good thing that was the soup but it is too tiny as if it should be for a child or is a children's sized soup! However, what tops the cake would the level of unprofessionalism of the boss on the phone and how disgusting she spoke to me. If that was the manager or whoever it was that lady should be fired ! If I could I would give this place zero stars !! Never again will I be ordering from a revolting place like this !! There are a lot of Gyro places around here but I try to avoid this place even though it's close to my house. Their gyro is full of fat. And they cut their slices very thick. The tzatziki sauce is watery so it oozes out of the gyro. Instead of putting lettuce in the gyro they pile on the onion. Their French fries are soaked in oil that happens when the fries are cooked but they leave them in the fryer or they dunk cold cooked fries in the fryer again to heat it up. It's so disappointing that a place that is so convenient has such bad gyros. read more

I would give this place 0 stars if i could Bc of the nasty girl who claims to be the manager but i am still leaving 3 stars because this is a review only on their manager. She was unbelievably rude and had the nerve to call me rude and even told me not to order from them! I used to love this place but now i will never order from here again! I called because i needed to make a change request for something that they do not have as an option on UberEats and is something that i have done for years without a problem. I wanted to have haloumi as one of my options for their combo of 3 platter. I have literally made this change every single time i have ordered from them wether it was thru UberEats, by calling in the order directly or when eating in at the restaurant and also have been able to do it with no extra charge. This time she first told me that it was an extra $3 to do so which they have never done before but ok fine, she wants to charge me an extra $3 for it then so be it but then she goes on telling me that she STILL cannot do it even charging me the extra $3 because it is not an option on UberEats. She told me that she cannot add the $3 to my order so she won't be able to do it for me which is preposterous and i absolutely know is not true. I have worked as an office manager for a deli and as a catering manager managing 3 different catering companies that have both used UberEats and i have manually modified orders to add extra up charges when necessary so i personally know it is possible and have also only just yesterday ordered from a restaurant that had just manually added a $2 extra charge for one of my orders that i had made a change to that wasn't an option on UberEats with no problem at all. With being certain of this and seeing how she still would not do it, i then offered to even add something else from their UberEats menu that would add an extra $3 and that i would just note on the special instructions that it was for the haloumi extra charge and even STILL she refused to do it, saying that she cannot do it, so i asked her if it is that she can't do it or that she won't do it because she is too lazy because i have literally tried and offered to do this in every way possible to make it easy for her, so she then had the audacity to tell me that I was being rude and told me not to order from them and hung up on me! Unbelievable!! It is sad to see that a restaurant that i had held in such high accolades for yearrrssss since i was a little girl now has such a rude, indolent person managing them. I really hope the owner takes this review into serious consideration about what kind of person their manager is. As have been in the restaurant industry for 10+ years, i know how destructive having a bad manager can be for a place. 9 times out of 10 you're going to have a great meal here. Gyros & souvlakia are delicious. The meat is fresh, and the guys behind the counter work hard to get the food out quick & right. This is a great little Greek spot in the area. You can park in the lot and there is decent amount of seating. The prices here are affordable and decent. The food is amazing! Their gyros are amazing, I must say. I only started liking gyros when I started coming here a few years ago. Their spinach pie is crisp on the sides and tastes awesome with hot sauce. The salads here are super fresh and delicious. Love stopping here for lunch or for a pick up. read more

Eat here all of the time, whether with my family dining in or ordering delivery on my own!!! However, parking is not fun in this area!!! It can take a while to find street parking, and you can't park in the lots because you will be ticketed or towed (although I don't know from actual experience). The place is on a corner and is always packed! However, if we have to wait for a table, it usually doesn't take too long to be seated. They have really good gyro sandwiches, platters, etc. I also get their Greek salad, but not with chicken (it's always dry), but with the gyro-it's a bit of a different twist, but really good and flavorful. The waitresses working in there are very pleasant and the guys behind the counter are excellent and very attentive. If you are looking for a low-key, cheap place to eat, then this is it!!!! Went there at 9 pm and was served scrap food.. $55 later for 3 people (pretty good price)that got served HORRIBLE scrap gyro... the sausage was not eatable- it was old and nasty...we are long time steady customers so this is disappointing. The best greek food at this price... anywhere. This is a essentially a diner but focused on greek fare. I dare anyone to find a better souvlaki platter or charcoal octopus. The service is polite and efficient. The portions are ample. The tzatziki sauce is just right. Warm pitas, simple crisp fresh greek salads, all the ingredients are fresh for that matter. They make a perfect gyro sandwich too. Of course you can get a nice burger or steak or if you're feeling truly uninspired some grilled chicken. However, I always believed that "When in Rome..." do as the damn Romans do! Otherwise why go to Rome. Get it? I recommend the basics: souvlaki, gyro, lemon potatoes, octopus, baklava, tzatziki, etc. I've been going to this place for over 20 years and there has yet to be a disappointing meal. Ordered Grubhub this evening. We got moussaka, grilled octopus, chicken souvlaki, and an order of cheese. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! Moussaka was sweet, cheese was salted (aside from its natural flavor), side salad was mostly onions, & souvlaki was "a sad soggy thing" as per my friend. Our delivery took over an hour to come. After calling and being told twice that our food was in route, they forgot two orders of food. Called them back and there was a lack of urgency or of care as we sat at the dinner table with two individuals without food. Once everyone finished eating it took an additional 20 minutes for those orders to come. You would assume the delivery guy would be apologetic, no. He called us to come outside. I'm guessing he wanted us to walk to his car to get our food? But we waited on the porch and he handed us the food, turned and hurried away. Ordered a falafel sandwich. It's not the best looking appearance wise but tasty and has a spicy kick to it. I'm not sure if the tomatoes or sauce was runny but half of the pita bread was super soggy. I wonder if the platter would hold up better for delivery. Supposed to have arrived within 45-60 minutes but delivery took about an hour and 15 minutes. Also ordered the lemon chicken soup not completely filled as shown but very good and the cold stuffed grape leaves were also good. Overall experience was good. Would have given 5 stars if my sandwich wasn't so soggy (they may want to consider sending sauce on the side or ordering it in the side) and if food was delivered on time (To my disappointment, I already prepaid with a 28% tip on my credit card through delivery.com, as I had no cash to tip hoping for reasonable delivery time). read more

If Gyro Corner were a Ski Mountain, it would be a double diamond trail. in the 12 years I have lived in the Bayside area, their food has gone down, down, down. Now I only ordered the chicken bob sandwich (which is on a pita) but it is currently horrendous. The chicken may appear juicy, but its just liquid on the outside. Cut a chunk open and its very dry. The extra chicken juice makes the tzatziki sauce so watery. The flavor is quite bland. If you order a milkshake, expect onions and/or lettuce to slap the back of your throat. Probably the best gyro and Greek in the Flushing/Bayside area. I would've given it 5 stars but the service is a bit spotty and the prices have gone up considerably making it less of a value. The gyro is fantastic and there is no other gyro place that gives you as much meat. I can't say the same for the souvlaki though as the pita sandwich only contains about 4 tiny bite sizes of meat. Still tasty though when it's not burnt. Another thing I like is the rice which comes with the platters. I'm not sure how it's prepared (maybe boiled in broth?!?!) but the rice is awesome. read more

This is more of a bad review of seamless and i want to make that very clear. Im a regular customer of Gyro Corner, however the phone was nusy so i placed my orsrt via seamless. Where to begin, 1st time ever the order was wrong, 2nd the seamless driver calls me and asks me to go downstairs and meet him downstairs because he couldn'tfind a spot, i run down to the lobby and he hands me the rain soaked bag, I tell him it's soaked and he said it's raining and stated he couldnt take it back. A place that has been around for as long as I can remember, but only visited a couple of times. The food is good, a little bland compared to other places. The portions are pretty large, the gyro sandwich was stuffed with gyro meat and the mixed plate was pretty large. The souvlaki had a bit more flavor than the gyro because it had a nice grill flavor. The fries were good, nice and crispy. The service was OK, nothing to brag about. All in all it's a decent place to fulfill a craving, but Fontana's is more my style. read more
