I have shopped in Gucci stores twice. I was in Orlando and bought my daughter a bag. Wonderful experience from beginning to end. Service was personalized in the very best way, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Fast forward to Saturday when I went to the Copley Plaza. I knew exactly what I wanted and politely asked the man if they had a particular shoe in stock so I could see it in person...they did not, not a big deal, I have no problem ordering it. He looked up the size and color and I formed me they were sold out. I was disappointed and kind of surprised as I had been looking at them that morning. I left, went to Starbucks and grabbed a coffee, while I waited, looked online at Gucci, checked the color and size and ordered them and was done in less than 5 minutes. Service here is bad. It's a reflection of poor management. This is an elitist location. Some sales people have this delusional narrative going on in their heads that they are better than the customer. This will certainly hurt the store sales. I went in yesterday afternoon for some Gucci perfume. Sales guy felt so entitled that he couldn't hand me the perfume that I was inquiring about. He walked me over to it but would not hand it to me. It was on the bottom shelf in the middle of the floor. Awkward place to put perfume. I had to bend down and grab it. He was being sadistic and far from the lines of proper customer service. Note: I called the store manager after I left as well as their corporate office to express my poor experience. No one bothered reaching back. Says a lot about a company. When I come into a high end store it's all about the experience. I could have brought it from this location but chose to walk out instead. Gucci is a high-end luxury brand that truly cares about their customers satisfaction. Unfortunately, after a couple months of using my GG Marmont Matelesse handbag a scratch appeared on the hardware. I brought it into the Copley Place location and the sales associate/manager immediately shipped it to the repair center for me. The process took about three weeks and my bag was repaired free of charge because it was covered under the manufacturer's warranty. When I arrived in store today to pick up my item, the sales representatives were all welcoming and willing to answer any of my questions. Beware it's a public mall but you're not allowed to just look around this store, they will want you to leave. My boyfriend and I have shopped at this location multiple times and we love the products. We have always had good experiences here while buying. We went in today to look at what's new and the older white woman with short brown hair asked if we had questions 2x and both times I politely said no we are just looking for now thank you! After 5 mins in the store she asked a third time with an annoyed and inpatient tone along the lines of "OKAY guys do you have any questions or what?" We left immediately. First time shopping in this location and it would be my last. I wanted to look around and see if I find a small gift for my bf for christmas and start my early christmas shopping for him. I took THREE steps in the store and i'm already getting followed around like there's no tomorrow when i clearly said I wanted to look around. The lady that helped us would look at us in disgust. I actually like the store & the staff are a bit scattered about the store and all dress alike. I don't have a problem with the store or the staff so much. I do have a real problem with the after service. I brought in a Gucci black leather valise type handbag with gold fittings for service. I had spoken to their customer service in NYC, they provided information to send by mail for evaluation and estimate to repair, clean, refresh and perhaps replace some of the leather corner edge. As an alternative to mailing, going to a local store such as the Copley Place location where the bag was deemed near vintage not dry and could easily be brought back to its former luster. Replacing leather was discussed with a "manager"! So I left the bag at the Copley location and waited for an estimate to make their Italian Magic happen. About 5 to 8 weeks later I was emailed that the repair was completed without an estimate(?). The repairs discussed were with out a charge to my surprise. I was certainly willing to pay the cost to bring the bag back to near new as it has great sentimental value. What I received instead was the same bag not really repaired as discussed, but a once high shine black embossed leather bag was now something dull completely slathered in sticky shoe like polish!? I mentioned the handle being sticky but the sales person, who was un-phased. It would need a bit more drying time!? It has been about 6 or 8 weeks since it was picked up removed it from the clear plastic bag and put it on a shelf. Surprise still sticky not looking better than when dropped off. As a side note, when presented with with my bag by Gucci, it was not given to me in a branded Gucci paper tote bag and some protective tissue, instead a nondescript white paper bag no tissue and covered a clear plastic bag. It would appear the Gucci Valise wasn't evaluated but perhaps instead sent to a local shoe shop??? And now weeks later it is still sticky to the touch and the lightly worn corner edges are still visible covered all in a sooty sticky mess. I begin to not understand why these designer brands have such cache and accolades for quality and design. I guess one needs to be Madonna or Lady Gaga or Yee to rate a certain level of service!?! I am sure if a customer of Chanel received their bag back in a similar state... Hell would be unleashed! I doubt very much I would buy anything from Gucci ever again. If you can not service what you sell or just say a repair is not possible?! I may have to find a way to clean off this black gunk or throw it in the wash or trash! Next time I will be sure to dress like a reality celebrity Shemagh, dark glasses and high end designer accessories (NOT Gucci's) and cop the same attitude as some of the staff at Copley Place do! I would give ZERO stars but the store is prettier than most and the staff was okay. The quality of the goods for price and longevity are very much questionable!!!? read more

I never feel the need to leave reviews, but when you're spending this kind of money you expect a top-notch experience. This boutique sounds like it's really hit or miss, and I missed the two times I went to this location, so I don't feel great about the odds. When I entered, the store was very busy. I was nicely greeted by an SA but at that point I wasn't sure what I wanted to see and it was hard to get a lay of the land, however i knew there was at least one bag that I wanted. When I was ready to see some items I stood near the item I knew I'd want. A second SA asked if I needed help and I couldn't find the original, so I worked with this SA. This SA seemed new, so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt, but they fumbled through everything during our interaction. So I decided not to see anything else, also they seemed to be closing soon so I decided not to see any other items. It probably took me a total of 3 minutes to tell that I was going to buy this bag, it required no selling, not that they tried. However I was in the store for about 30 min after they brought the item I would be taking home out from the back room. The store started clearing out and suddenly it was just me and a couple others. At that point, multiple SAs continuously asked if I was being helped, including the original SA (who seemed to sadly stare at me multiple times while I waited), and the manager, who I'd expect to go and check on my SA when she noticed that I'd been there for a long time, but instead she just arranged items making it clear they were closing. It honestly felt like they thought I was doing something wrong. The whole thing was unbelievably uncomfortable! After checking out, I went home to unbox a horribly packaged item. I have absolutely no idea how it took 30 min to package. I noticed that it was missing a few missing tags that my other Gucci items come with. I returned to get them and was treated like an idiot for asking even though I don't think its unusual to collect all of the documents with luxury items to maintain as much value as I can. Needless to say, when I returned to get the tags that were missing, I went on to shop at other luxury stores in Copley, and had a wonderful experience that made me happy to be shopping there. Idk if I'm done with the Gucci Brand or just that store but either way this was very disappointing and it is a turn off that Gucci HQ lets this store be so awful. Personally I love Gucci and their products but this is a reflection of service. I was out shopping with my Mother. The two of us shop the same way. We both wear sneakers and plain clothes that are easy to get in and out of for trying on things easily throughout the day. Shopping is a sport that we take very seriously. I was returning a gift from my husband. It was a beautiful Gucci purse but it was half the size of me. Too big for my taste and wanted to exchange it for something smaller. Maybe it was because I walked in with the huge Gucci purse that they paid more attention to me but they avoided my Mother who was perusing the shelves. I don't know if it was the yoga pants and sneakers that made them avoid her but I noticed she was definitely being avoided. I had the same attire on and knew I was being watched like I wanted to steal something. As I was discussing the exchange with the sales associate she was a tad snotty and that's when i decided I was just going to return the bag altogether and get the hell out of there. When I whipped out my Valentino wallet to put the cash into she suddenly tried to sell me purses again. Oh now I seem more interesting because I have a designer wallet?? Kiss my little blond a$$. I live, breathe, and die for Gucci. It's my number one pick each and every time I am seeking a new handbag. I have kind of given up on nice shoes, since they get trashed on the disgustingly horrific "historic" sidewalks of our lovely city.. otherwise, they would be supplying my footwear, as well. The new store is huge, its spotless, the set up is great. They have a good selection of classic bags as well as the new collections out, so you can see exactly what they have going on. The only thing I will say- and the reason there is a star missing- is that the staff can be a little cold. I may not walk in looking like Melania Trump, but I have a credit card that is on the verge of melting and 7 of these puppies already in my closet, not to mention the watch, shoes and a couple pairs of sunglasses... so I wish they would treat me like someone who they would really like to sell, instead of a teenage shoplifter (side note: this applies only to the staff of the new store, as the old Copley location was filled with staff who were always very interested in helping me out). But hey, I will keep going back. Of all the bags I've ever owned, I have never ever- not once- had a problem with a Gucci. So sorry, mortgage, but a girl's gotta have her bags.. read more

The 2 salespeople who helped me were pulling out bags left and right. They were super nice and didn't put any pressure on me at all to purchase anything. I must admit that I was completely overwhelmed because there were too many things that I liked. I just bought one of their bags in Vegas like 3 months ago. I had another good experience at Gucci. They are currenly in the midst of their spring sale, so of course i purchased an new purse. The sales associate was very friendly and very accomodating as i requested to see all of the backstock of purses in the style i was going to purchase. She (i wish i knew her name) gave me additional information that I never knew, such as: fabric products have a 1 year warranty and all leather goods have a 2 year warranty. You would think that after all of my years of shopping with Gucci that I would know this by now. Probably my only ding for the store is that they strangely had shoes priced about $120 more than what I purchased them for at in the Chicago location the day before. Strange huh? read more

There is absolutely no reason to buy directly from this boutique when you can purchase the same merchandise from Saks or Neiman Marcus. They have a 14 day return policy with no exchanges or returns after that. I came in to return boots that I purchased 24 day ago. Even though I was buying shoes anyway, they refused to refund the rest of the return, giving me a $430 credit instead. The manager Chantelle literally told me that she was accommodating me by even doing an exchange. Terrible customer service and return policy. Go to Saks. read more

I visited this store today in hopes of treating myself after I had surgery earlier this week. I own many items from Gucci, and wanted to add to it. But I don't think I will be ever again. Gucci is by far my favorite brand of handbags and it pains me to give such a low rating, but my most recent visit has convinced me to only shop at the Saks a quick two minute walk away inside the mall. While I'm definitely not the most wealthy customer a store like this sells to I own several products and spend too much time procrastinating on their website so I am familiar with what's currently available. I recently saw a new purse online, but as it's in a new color I was hoping to see it in person and just buy at the store. Upon entering the security guard just glares at me as expected but then I have an awkward few minutes of just standing there before he tells me a sales person will be with me soon. A sales woman comes over and I explain exactly what purse I'm looking for and that I saw it just come out on the website. She makes a face and tells me that it's an old discontinued style they don't have. I insist that it just came out online, hinting that maybe she should look it up or see if other locations has it etc. and she just told me what colors they do currently have (one of which I know is like a year old!!) and when I didn't jump for those she walked away. Like how dare I come in here seeking an old style?? The kicker is, and what has permanently turned me off of this location, it really is a new style not yet available in the states. Had she looked it up she would of realized this. Stores release new items on a schedule and if she had common sense she would of realized I must be talking about something about to be released. I did not appreciate that she immediately wanted to talk down to me and jab an insult at me. I think that this employee of such a high end store, where the average customer's purchase is significantly higher than their paycheck, needs a reality check, a dose of customer service, and to brush up on the product they are representing. Before this incident, I have come in to purchase another purse and wallet as well as a belt as a gift for someone. The last time I bought a purse I was as specific as this time and the sales person appreciated that I knew what I wanted. When I bought the belt I was unsure of size and what style I wanted and the sales associate was very helpful at giving opinions and helping me guess what size would work. I love Gucci. Their product gets 5 stars. Sadly, their SAs get 1 star. So, I've averaged that out to 3 stars. I've worked in retail and customer service for a looooong time. I know what it takes to retain repeat clientele. This place is sorely lacking. Granted, every time I come in here, I probably look like crap. I am either going to work, coming from work, or passing through while in sweats or jeans. However, I don't think any of those things should be held against me when I actually want to purchase something. Their fall/winter sale is currently going on (they have a sale twice a year). I went in there with the full intention of purchasing something that caught my eye. I was in their store for a FULL TEN MINUTES and not *one* associate greeted me. Some of them were helping other customers, but some of them were doing nothing at all... just talking amongst themselves. That highly annoyed me. I was finally able to get the attention of one SA, who turned out to be quite pleasant, and found the price of the bag for me, because there was no tag on the inside. However, given the lack of attention up to that point, I ended up not getting the bag in the store. Instead, I purchased it from their website (they have a free shipping promo going on right now). I am not going to give any these people commission when it is obviously undeserved. I would love to say that this is a one-time occurrence, but sadly, it has happened on multiple occasions. Okay, so I am obviously not one of those super-rich Asian-touristy types that are often flooding the LV store across the way, but pay some Goddamn attention to me, will ya? This location is actually closing. They are consolidating into the new location at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. I am hoping that they have a better set of staff there. I haven't visited the new location yet, and am kinda dreading it, so we'll see. read more

I feel that I am being conned. I want to let everyone what I've been though since August 2008. In August 2008, I purchased a fur coat for $16,970.00 from Gucci America, Inc. (Boston Gucci Store) using my Space Coast debit card ending in 2626. I received the product and returned the product the next day which is within the Gucci (10) day return policy.. Enclosed I am providing you the Gucci return policy my receipt and the return slip. I have been demanding my money since August 2008 I left the country for school. Today I received a document from Gucci Inc. Who are now coercing me to a sign a document offering me only $6,788.00 which is only 1/3 of what they owe me. I haven't been able to get any resolution or reason for this offer from the Vice President, the Vice President Assistant, Eastern US Director, and Customer Service Director. But they I've been getting the runaround for (4) years. I'm currently filing reports with BBB SEC FBI FTC The Attorney General And contacting all fashion magazines, newspapers and new stations. read more

I can't say much about the overall service, but the one sales associate that worked with me was so friendly and patient. I forgot his name unfortunately as this was many months ago, however he was very accommodating. I was in the market for a new wallet because my old one broke, and I am someone who is very picky about the things I buy. I have to love it 100% and explore all my options before I settle with something. The luxury goods industry is also one that will never have exactly what you want at that given time, so it takes a lot of running around to find the perfect one. I went to a Gucci store in Manhasset, NY a couple nights before I came back to Boston, and did not find one that I loved there. This store had a couple of different selections, but what really sold me was the sales associate and his patience in trying to understand what I like and what suits me best. He pulled out at least 10-15 different wallets before I narrowed it down to 3. The entire process took me probably about an hour from walking in the store to leaving with a purchase. However, he basically held my hand throughout and did not leave me in the middle to help another customer. It really made me feel as if he cared about me as a customer and did not treat me as a dollar sign that he can make some sales off of. I also came with my mom, and he was very courteous to both of us. Amazing service. Because of this, I will probably continue to come back to this Gucci store and this particular sales associate if I am looking for another Gucci purchase :) read more
