I stopped in to exchange a Christmas present and they made the process super-smooth. I had a Coach bag with me, and they offered to condition it on the spot while I was shopping around Copley as well - what a surprise! They held my bags in the back so I could walk around, and after about 25 minutes, I came back and my bag felt brand new. They made my day infinitely better and the exchange process very simple. I'd recommend going to this store over the Coach in Faneuil, as this is a little hidden from the tourists. The store wasn't too crowded at any time. read more

I love Coach. They have the cutest bags (well, a few I find disgusting) and I love their men's wallets - especially the ones with the dark brown leather on the outside and ivory on the inside. I wish it was socially acceptable for men to carry bags. I'm a bit OCD and tend to carry too many things that I might "need" in my pockets whenever I leave the house. Old movie ticket stubs, miscellaneous buttons, extra light bulbs - you name it I probably got it. Coach always seems to have great service too - they'll offer to help but they won't push you to buy. Everything is met with a smile and a pretty face. Five stars to this location for great products, friendly service, and the random champagne party I walked into and stumbled out of. read more

Coach... bless them. From luxury to commonplace (at best) and now trying to go back to their luxe roots - and failing. The service in the stores is 'meh' at best, and try to get help after a purchase... good luck! I received a gift from a friend, who had apparently ordered it very early. I immediately sent the watch - with gift recieot and all original packaging - to online customer service with a nice letter asking that they make an exception to allow for the few days past the normal exchange period, and that I would love a store credit for my return (a watch) and would gladly add another $500+ to get something I'd actually use. The watch was sent back in 3 days with a curt, rude letter. I contacted customer service online. After half a dozen back-and-forths with as many people (it goes to a generic account where, apparently, the agents don't bother to read any of the previous communication), I was told they would make an exception, to send it to the attention of a specific person (Sam), and they would issue a store credit. I did so, the following day, sending it Priority. Cut to more than a month later - still haven't received the store credit, nor an email letting me know it's on its way. I emailed CS again; it's not gone back and forth AGAIN to 3 people who can't seem to read the earlier conversation, and now they want me to send them the tracking info - even though the Post Office says it arrived and was signed for! At this point, I'm over Coach. I don't care about the credit and I'm obviously not jumping at the chance to carry a coach bag and promote the brand - which is probably better now that everyone and their sister has the ugly-as-sin patchwork piece that apparently multiplied like rabbits at the Outlets and was on "one day only" sale for 50% off, plus an additional 30% and 10% more because the shopper was breathing that day. Loooove this store! I own wayyyyy too many Coach bags and accessories. Ugh. They are a Flagship store and have the largest selection and variety you will find in the Northeast. The store is always bright and clean. The associates are nice and will help you if you need it, but leave you alone if you just want to peruse and shop. I've noticed the price points on their bags are starting to drop (thank you, shitty economy), so a normally $500 bag is now being priced below $400. Also, when you make a purchase, make sure the associate gets your name and address/email. Every other month, they have a Preferred Customer Event, where they send out 25% off coupons that you can use at their stores. If they don't have your info in their database, they won't be able to send you one, so make sure you give it to them! read more

I can't believe I forgot to yelp Coach. In the before time [you know, before the the accident when I had solid income] I came in here to get a present for a very special lady in my life. A wallet to be precise. Now, I may just be insane, but it almost seems as though Coach introduces their new lines whenever, as opposed to when every other store is phasing in one and phasing another out. spring/pre-fall/fall, etc. . you get the idea. So I went in to look and was mostly ignored. I'm starting to get used to this in high-end stores around Boston, but it still pisses me off. It's one of those situations where I think, "Wow, I get better customer service at walmart, and they're not asking $225 for a wallet. What's wrong here?" Anyway, I found the one I'd get her provided I went Coach. I made a mental note of the design and continued to shop. Eventually [two weeks later] I came back to get it, and the exact design was gone, but a new one was in its place. Thankfully, I wasn't ignored this time and I had a VERY helpful girl ask a series of probing questions. She didn't believe me when I told her that the latch was different on the wallet I had seen two weeks prior, but she was patient enough with my lack of knowledge regarding coach and how to describe women's fashion accessories. Anyway, 10 minutes later I found the new version of the one I had settled on before. The purchase was smooth and she even "gift wrapped" it for me. As an aside, Coach gift wrapping apparently doesn't involve wrapping paper, but rather a bow tied neatly around a box that still prominantly says "coach" "Gee sweetie, I wonder what this could be" Since then I've been back a few times with other people who had money to spend, and have found the split between being ignored and being waited on to be about 40/60. With the quality of coach combined with the service you get, when you get it, I'll give it four stars, and just start pitching fits if I get ignored again in the future. read more

The store was well staffed and I had a quick transaction. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Meien, the sales associate, was very friendly and helpful- she is an asset in customer care. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the supervisor at this store. I was incorrectly charged $25 more for a crossbody bag - I wouldn't have known this until i came home and looked at Coach.com to see store locations far away from where I live (i was gifting this item to someone else who lives far away). So I call the store and the supervisor answers. I tell him what happened and he insists that the bag I got is different to the one on the website and that i should come into the store again to resolve this. I told him that I am looking at the design on the bag and comparing it to the one on the website and he still says that I am wrong. I was just leaving to come to the store when Meien phoned to say that there was a system error and that they would credit my card for the amount. The supervisor did not phone me back to say Yes you were right and I was wrong. He had Meien phone to resolve this. Its all resolved now but my conversation with the supervisor left a bad impression about this store in general. Its totally OK to make mistakes and its equally OK to admit to ones mistake. Anyway, I liked a few other items at the store so i might return to get a few things for myself at a later point in time. I just wont be in as much a rush as I was earlier. read more

I want to purchase one of those massive sized logo bags - brown Cs against tan would be my preference - just so I can hop in it and be carried around in it like one of Paris Hilton's "tiny even for a chihuahua" pets. But my life is SO UNFAIR and therefore, I have to resort to being a Normal Customer and carry Normal Handbags and do my own walking. My brand of choice is Coach. My favorite Coach store is this one. The staff are not all up in your face the minute you walk in, trying to sell you all sorts of nonsense simply because it's new, on trial, or because there's some sort of quota they need to fill. They leave you to your own devices and you can browse the store at your own pace, and will answer questions when you have them. It's nice not be followed around the store by various salespeople giving 'hints' and "oh this would look great on you and did I mention it's new for the summer and you should also get four wristlets and by the way Christmas is in five months so you should start shopping now". They're great with exchanges and shipping when need be. One tip is to always, always, always keep your receipt and the tags that come with the merchandise you buy (if it's a handbag, it's the slip in the inside pocket; if it's shoes, it will be in the box on top of the tissue paper; if it's something being shipped, it'll be in a separate part of the box it's shipped in, so make sure you don't throw out the box without looking for it!) If you don't have all that, they won't be so keen on the exchanging and may refuse it completely. read more

Was told by the Copley Coach store that I had to return my bag to the outlet since I didn't have a receipt. I then drove 45 minutes (1 1/2 total) out of my way to return it for them to tell me they wouldn't take it. It was a gift from my husbands grandmother and couldn't ask for a receipt. If I was given the correct information I would have called ahead to see if they took it back. I am not sure why a high end store couldn't put a little more effort into seeing if I could return it. Or advise of the various issues around returning it. Completely ridiculous experience that wasted my time twice. I buy from coach several times a year for myself and as gifts. I will never buy from them again, they lost a customer for life due to poor communication and unhelpful and non-friendly staff. read more

First time to this Coach store and was a great experience. Had a print out of what I wanted and the person who greeted me introduced me to Jon Holick and he showed me the bags and additional accessories that came with them. Also showed me few other products that I was definitely interested in. checking out was smooth and quick, and had the box gift wrapped in few min. And on top of that Jon send a card few days later and had remembered what I wanted, whom I bough it for and all of our main conversion points (was definitely not expecting such a detailed note). This is definitely the best destination for Coach products in Boston. They certainly have the best selection of all the other stores. Since it is in a mall though it is kind of crowded with a lot of people just looking. I am also not a huge fan of the service at this store. The service people are kind of in a daze sometimes and just seem to think everyone is browsing, so if you actually want to look at something or buy something it's sometimes hard to get people to help you. Also, they all seem really young...I hope that is not an indication that I am getting old... :( read more

Called Coach and spoke with Cotey...maybe the nicest woman on the planet. I was buying a last minute gift and wanted to customize it. Cotey had it expressed shipped to the store closest to me, customized and ready in as little as 2 days! (Did I mention this was during a snow storm?) I bought my wife a bag here a few years back and gave it to her. She didn't like it, but never had the heart to tell me. Two years in, she brings it back without the receipt and the tags still on it; and they let her buy a new one, giving her credit for what she had. This is A++ service. Buyer beware - DO NOT MONOGRAM key chain of bag, if you need to return. I bought a bag at the Faneuil Hall location and they offered to monogram it (not the bag but the small key chain tag that is removable) for "free." However salesperson did not tell me this made the sale final, at any time during transaction. After I got home, I realized I wanted the smaller version of the same style and color of bag. I went to Copley store to exchange for the same bag but smaller version. The store manager at Copley told me that I couldn't return it because monogramming the small tag made it a final sale, and there was nothing she could do. She told me to bring to original store to see what they could do since she didn't know what I was told by other salesperson. I informed her that not telling customers of final sale due to monogramming of tiny key chain tag is illegal in MA but she didn't care. I will never shop there again. I love Coach and I love this location. This spot has been recently renovated and is one of the company's flagship stores which means they carry almost the entire Coach line including their shoes. Incredible customer service!! I had a slight defect with a pair of sneakers I bought last year-- so these shoes were not brand new. However, the sales team specializes in customer service and actually cares about their customers. (so rare these days). Nicole and Lauren, saw/heard the problem, couldn't have been nicer, and replaced the shoes. What a refreshing experience. I will have to buy some of those fab key chains for holiday gifts! This is my favorite Coach store for its selection of Coach merchandise and excellent customer service. My go-to salesperson over the years has been Jon H. and I make it a point to go to him each time I plan a visit to the store. Needless to say, other employees of this location are great too. Casper, the manager is also helpful. I like the special "postcard" events which happen several times a year and you get 25% off your purchase. The store has a lot to offer and new collections launch every month. You can't buy it all but rest assured, a Coach product will last you for years, be it signature C sneakers, a cardigan with turn-lock closures (my fave!) or one of the new relaunched Coach classics. This all-American brand is know for its yummy high quality leather. My latest find is the Coach field bag in tan leather and I know it is a classic that will last for years. The size of the store is great and they carry everything from woman's handbags to jewelry and even apparel. If you see something online you like, go to the store and check it out or try it on. If it's not there, they will order it for you and it would ship to the store for free I believe. There is also a Coach men's store on the upper level (as a separate store) but I have never visited. As I said, excellent customer service and as a previous poster mentioned, Jon H. really takes good care of his customers and even follows up with a thank you card a few days later which is a nice touch.
