I have been very interested in the Boite Chapeau bag and I saw they had a similar round box handbag (Scott) in the display, so I walked to check it out. It's not my first time to walk into a Louis Vuitton store, as I used to visit the stores in France and in Japan. I understand that I would have to wait for an available sales associate to show me the item, so I waited patiently. A lady, who looked like a store manager or more higher up, came to tell me that everybody was busy at that time and that she would have someone help me soon. Sure, no problem. I wasn't in rush, so I waited. I am not sure if she was really assigning anyone to me, but somehow I saw a few sales associates just finished with their customers, when I thought someone would come over, nobody came. That lady walked by me a few times without any eye contact with me. It could be that I was in a very casual outfit with a cheap LeSportSac crossbody bag. I waited and waited for a long time, and I kind of got a feeling that they didn't care about me. At one point, that lady was talking to other staff and looked at me. I guess they were talking about me. I just don't know if she was trying to ask someone to help me. Because I waited for a long time, a sales associate whose name was Sung came over and told me that she would be finishing up with her client and would be able to help me soon. Later Sung showed me the bag I wanted to see, but it turned out that it wasn't something I really wanted. Sung listened carefully about what I was looking for and suggested a few items to me. She also searched their inventory to see if anything that could interest me. She was very patient and friendly. I ended up buying one bag that I didn't to plan to, but I was very happy with my purchase. I actually used the bag during the trip. If I go back to Boston, I would definitely go back to find Sung to buy another bag. I would give 5 stars to Sung, who's a great sales associate. However, I need to deduct one star for the lady who promised to assign someone to me but ignored me.

What I had hoped would be a memorable shopping experience turned out to be deeply disappointing. Upon arrival, I waited approximately 10 to 20 minutes before being assisted. Only two sales associates appeared to be serving customers, while another employee recorded the names of those waiting. Although I knew exactly what I intended to purchase, I understand that a wait is sometimes unavoidable. The greater disappointment was the service that followed. The associate who assisted me had blond hair and ear piercings. I believe his name may have been Alton, although I cannot recall it with certainty. His manner was unwelcoming, and his attitude made the interaction uncomfortable. After purchasing a $485 fragrance, I was handed a Louis Vuitton paper shopping bag containing the perfume, with no tissue paper or any apparent attention to presentation. For a purchase at this price, from a house with Louis Vuitton's reputation, I expected greater care. I also requested two fragrance samples, one of Myriad and another of Albi. I was told that no samples were available at the time. I then politely asked whether I could have 10 fragrance testing strips for my own use. That request was also declined. The explanation I received was that the strips carried the Louis Vuitton name and logo, and the store did not want them circulating outside its premises. I found that explanation difficult to understand. The shopping bag I was given prominently displayed the same name, as did the fragrance I had just purchased. The reasoning seemed inconsistent and left me feeling that a modest request had been dismissed without a credible explanation. I have purchased from Louis Vuitton before, including through this location and online. On this occasion, I wanted to experience shopping in person and enjoy the service I associated with the brand. Instead, the wait, the associate's attitude, the presentation of my purchase, and the handling of my requests made this the most disappointing retail experience I can recall. I left feeling deeply let down by a brand I had chosen to support.

Buttery-soft. That's all I can say. Their service has always been equally on par with their quality of goods. They are never pushy, so helpful, and stay in touch with you regarding any items that might be of interest - no matter how big or small. Lily has been a particular standout. Another associate commented on the Bayswater that I was carrying - good to know there isn't brand-exclusion; I can appreciate that.
