I used to really like the selections at LOFT in years past, but I find the more recent designs to be rather odd. Lots of strange colors and prints, IMO. I mainly come here for skirts and accessories. You can get really good deals during the holidays when they do their deal of the day promotions. I scored a great necklace for $15 in December that was normally priced at 54. I'd never pay full price here for anything. The sales are very frequent and often include everything in the store. Service can be somewhat rude. I agree with other Yelpers that the sales staff here could benefit from some training in professionalism. Check out the Wrentham Outlet location for better prices. The sales there are truly incredible. read more

I only come in on the additional 50 or 60% off already reduced items days, because I'm pretty frugal. Being in during crazy sales, you ex pet heaps of clothing needing to be rehung, resized, put back You expect employees to be frazzled and more focused on full price sections. Not here. Here there is always someone available to help check a size, even in last spring's sale blouse that you're going to walk away with for $4.75. The associates care and the quality is terrific, especially for the price. Recently they were doing St Jude donations and I added $5 to my purchase, so the cashier dinged a bell. Every associate I passed thanked me for my donatio as I left. Nothing but terrific experiences here. Ps- they're SO nice about returning or exchanging and are very clear at the time of purchase if an item is final sale! read more

The woman in the dressing room is the friendliest staff person I have ever encountered in my 23 years. Hooray for regular clothes that fit regular people (and some vanity sizing for kicks). I love shirts that don't make look like a pregnant hobo from the 70s. I like to think of everything in terms of the cost of your average slice of pizza. Shirts from Anne Taylor Loft cost about 10 slices of pie. Shirts from Free People cost 100-150 slices. So if I shop at Free People, that's a lot of pizza I don't get to eat. read more

You have singlehandedly made many ladies quite happy with your generous sizing. I know for a fact that I don't wear a size 0 petite, but if Ann Taylor Loft says I do, then even for that fleeting moment, I am a believer! If you are one of those shoppers who scrutinizes over everything, and is frustrated by sizes, fit, and other torturous details, spend an hour at the Loft. I don't know whether it's that this past year's selection of clothes at LOFT has been dull, or if it is the layout of this location in general, but I've come here over 20 times in the last few months and never purchased anything besides tights and socks. And maybe a striped tee once... The majority of clothes in this store always look bland or don't have the quality to make them worth their price. Their sale section is almost always cramped, requires you to dig through clothes racks, and is located in a section of the store where one person will block the way through for anyone else. Their jewelry selection is tiny and is located right in front of the cashier, so if there is a line of people waiting to check out, you cannot access a good portion of it. I also had a situation where I had my Loft credit card with me, but did not have my birthday coupon that was connected with the card because it had been sent to the wrong mailing address. The person working the register said she could not look up my information online and would only accept a physical coupon. The same situation had happened to me previously at a Loft Outlet in upstate NY, and they had been able to look up the coupon online. You would think a store located in Boston's Prudential Center would get with the times. Overall, not a huge fan of this Loft location. read more

My go-to place for work clothes. When stuff goes on sale, you can find some pretty sweet deals. You can bring as much stuff as you want into the dressing room and there's always an associate staffing the room to run and get what you want in another size or color. I recently returned a shirt that I brought that had a small rip in the seam, so make sure you check the quality before buying. However, I already cut the tags off and they accepted the return without giving me any any hassle. I probably would have been able to sew the small rip, but it was a peach-pinkish color and I didn't want to hunt for the thread. read more

This location of Ann Taylor Loft has: 1. Really helpful staff (particularly in the dressing rooms). 2. Large selection of clothing 3. Good amount of items in all sizes (many of the other stores are not big enough to carry enough inventory in all sizes). Staff that know how to use/apply all the coupons etc that are mails out 4. Staff that OFFER to call other stores for you rather than you having to ask them and getting an attitude. 5. Staff that do not follow you around the store and hound you. I think this is my favorite Ann Taylor Loft store!! read more

I have given this store so many opportunities to keep my business. Every single time I walk into that store the staff is inattentive, rude,unfriendly and just plain unhappy. I went in today because I had time to kill. I was not greeted, though several employees passed me. I found some items I liked from the regular inventory and went over to the sale racks. The woman working in that area gave me the most awful look because I was in her way. She TWICE pushed her way passed me to hang things and then the third, I was in the middle of looking at a article of clothing, she said "um, excuse me...i am trying to get passed" I have never in my life felt so unwanted in a store. I will never go back into that store. I shop a lot at the loft, but at this point, I am strongly considering my loyalty. I know every store is not like this but when you have consistently poor attitude staff working somewhere, people have stated this in the past and nothing has changed...makes me question the integrity of the whole thing. read more

this place is like a crack dealer, what it sells is no good but you keep going back because christ, you can't get this crap anywhere else. the loft is marginally cheaper than the regular AT ($20 per item). the quality of their clothing is horrible. I purchased a pair of chocolate brown trousers for work a few months back and was pleased with the process, the sale, and the pants themselves. the second time i wore them i bent over or stretched my leg out or otherwise moved as i normally do and the lining ripped across my rear. not down the lining's seam, but in a large horizontal left cheek tear. i exchanged them with absolutely no problem because i figured the lining had been mismeasured for the pant size (because after 1 wear the stretchy pants had...stretched.) the second pair held out for about 4 months. maybe 5. now the entire back of each leg swings free in the breeze and there's no fixing it so i'm just dumping the trousers entirely. i'm not wearing some ridiculously small size, nor do i have an apple bottom that destroys all pants. other ATL trousers i've purchased have let loose their hems after a week or so, and interior buttons have fallen off within 6 months. but damnit i need work clothes and this is the only place i won't go broke stocking up. read more

Am I the only one that finds Ann Taylor Loft so dull? I think the normal Ann Taylor has a much nicer selection. I went to the Ann Taylor Loft in the Prue and even the staff seemed bored. Not a very friendly environment to shop in but the prices are good. I don't see myself ever going back there. read more

I never even went into this place until I started working full-time after college. It is a great store if you need business casual atire, especially skirts and work shirts (though pants have a weird cut). I prefer Banana but this place is cheaper for the basics. read more

I really like AT Loft and have shopping there for years. This location pleasantly surprised me. The selection was decent and the staff was unbelievably helpful! Not only did they start a room for me (labeled with my name) but the staff in the dressing room was amazingly friendly and went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and to help out with sizing and such. I hope this the Loft that is located inside of the Prudential Mall. This review is exclusively for one particular employee of this location, Ashley Marie Chin. This review is long over due. One day, I came into the Loft and realized I lost my wallet while at the check out. This young lady did everything to help me find my wallet and even offered to give me change to get on the train. Her willingness to help me out restored my faith in that there are still nice people out there. I was so impressed by her kind and righteous gesture and I hope good luck follows her always. I also hope her manager sees this and congratulates her on her superior customer service and good deed. Luckily, I found my wallet (which I had dropped by accident near a pile of clothes) But within all of my devastation, even if I had not found it, Ashley still would have made my day. read more

I am all about the efficiency of online shopping, but I literally cannot walk by the Loft store at the Prudential Center in Boston (Store 677) without popping in. The entire team who works there is awesome: extremely kind, patient, and always super helpful; and the manager, Doriana, is like the god fairy of shopping! Not only are these girls super efficient despite the fact that this is probably one of the busier Loft stores I've been in (and certainly among the busiest in the Prudential mall), but they also make you feel like you're shopping with your best friends. Oh ANN. I'm now planning imaginary vacations because of you just so I can wear clothes from your spring and summer line! I found the spring collection to be cohesive, wearable, and appealing to a wide variety of people. Whether you are looking for clothing for work, a casual weekend at the beach, a bridal shower or a night on the town, there is something for everyone and every occasion. Many of the pieces are great on their own or great for layering, such as the tank tops and t-shirts. Many of the colors featured are very inviting and interesting, such as light pinks, pomegranates, soft grays, whites, khaki, and light aqua. Seamlessly woven into these soft looks are pieces that, although they may be soft in color, have strong clean lines that are appropriate for the office and should also flatter the body. Visually the collection is extremely warm and evokes thoughts of all of the places and events that the shopper may like to go dressed in the clothes...work, out to dinner, a picnic, an evening on the beach. It made me wish that the weather was warmer so that I could start wearing the clothes sooner. One of the great things about the collection is that there are detailed pieces with embellishments that look "one of a kind," or there are more basic staples, such as t-shirts, plain skirts, and cargo shorts. Either way, there are a multitude of accessories available for sale if the shopper wants to dress these pieces up. I loved all of the accessories. They were unique and beautiful and add personality to what other wise might be considered a plain outfit. Some of them even have an almost "homemade" feel, further contributing to the one of a kind feel of many of the pieces in the store. The spring collection gives the shopper the power to inject her own fashion sense into the clothes while guiding her through the process of pairing certain tops with skirts or shorts and adding playful accessories to make a bold statement. There is a lot of versatility in the collection which is one of its big advantages. The beauty of the subtle embellishments on the clothes, such as a delicate ruffle on a tshirt, is that the shopper does not have to sacrifice comfort and fit for style. I tried on several items at the store. I tried on two sweaters with an "embellishment" on the back. It had a nylon fabric the same color as the sweater across the back of the shoulders. When I saw it on the table, surrounded by cute accessories and other more detailed shirts, I thought it was really cute. When I tried it on it looked really plain and I could barely see the other fabric on the back with my hair down. The fit was fine, it fit like a basic sweater. I tried on a similar sweater with a zipper on the upper half of the back. The sizing between these two sweaters was inconsistent. In the one with the nylon, I was an extra small. In the one with the zipper, the extra small was a little too snug. I felt like these pieces looked more enticing while they were in the context of the rest of the store. Just being in the store was a relaxing experience, due to the large size of the store, it was not too crowded and the service was not pushy at all. When I asked if there was a pair of pants in a different size, the sales person checked in the back and came back to tell me that there were none. Her service was very prompt. In the dressing room, the attendant was very friendly, asked my name when I went into the dressing room and when I came back again to try on a second round of clothes, she remembered my name and again was very friendly, asked how everything fit when I was done, and when I asked for a sweater in another size she brought it to me promptly. I bought the boyfriend jeans (LOVE THEM) and several cute tshirts. I will be returning when the weather is warmer to buy more. read more

This is one of the worst and creepiest Loft stores out there, hands down. The management apparently stalks its clients and treats people as criminals. I was in line waiting for my turn and I was appalled to see how the manager was treating a client who apparently was a loyal shopper. In addition, another manager who was on her way out, presumed she knew where this woman worked. Ok, that is CREEPY. If these people have nothing better to do with their time and effort than to stalk a loyal customer, then they need help. Women like to shop, people, get over it! If I was the woman in front of me, I would report this to the Better Business Bureau. You don't treat customers like criminals, memorizing their name and trying to figure out their place of employment. That is just wrong and unprofessional. When I finally got my turn, the manager did not apologize for the obviously unnecessary delay (they gave this poor woman the raspberries). Plus I had a coupon I received in the mail and while it worked for my friend who used it at Chestnut Hill, the manager would NOT even try to apply it. She got up on her high horse and said you cannot combine it. Clearly this store is NOT for the customer, they will not accommodate or work with their clientele and for that and for the freakishly weird things I have seen take place in their store, I won't shop here again. Corporate: if you are reading this, you need to get rid of the managers at this store, all of them, because they are UNQUALIFIED, impolite, disrespectful, and despicable people with no class, no grace, and no moral grounding. Come to think of it, maybe I can get much better customer service at McDonalds, at least there people are treated with dignity and humility. Buyer beware! read more
