I don't know what I'd have done in lockdown without Ministry of Supply. We've been customers of…read moreMinistry of Supply for almost 10 years. They bring a high-tech lens to everything they do, and whenever they launch something new it always offers something innovative that no one else is doing. The clothes themselves can be washed and dried, and are comfortable enough for work-from-home wear but nice enough to wear to a real meeting (you know, when we have those again). Also, they can be washed and dried. Full stop. No "tumble dry low." No pilling or wrinkling or shrinking. But they also sell coats now, which are incredible - the Mercury jacket is heated and can be controlled by an app or by buttons within the jacket. The Great Auk is as warm as Canada Goose, with no down, and it's carbon neutral. They're also selling masks which are breathable and have filters.

I ordered a pair of Ministry of Supply pants in December and did not receive them until February,…read morewhich already felt like an excessively long wait for a roughly 200‑dollar pair of "business travel" pants. When they arrived, they were wrinkled out of the box and the cut below the knee was oddly baggy and flared. The hems were uneven and the sewing looked amateur, not what I expect at this price point. Although the pants technically "fit," they made me look frumpy below the knee and were not at the level of my usual professional wear. This did not improve with a trip to the dry cleaner and a pressed crease. The marketing that these are business attire you can travel in felt misleading, because the fabric wrinkled easily. The underlying issue was poor construction, not just temporary wrinkling. The most frustrating part was the return policy. By the time the delayed shipment arrived and I had a chance to assess the quality, the purchase was already outside their 30‑day return window, and customer service refused a return. In other words, the shipping delay effectively wiped out my ability to return a clearly unsatisfactory product. Given the combination of slow fulfillment, disappointing quality, and rigid handling of the return window, I would not purchase from Ministry of Supply again and would urge others to be very cautious about the quality and to watch the return timeline closely.

I finally called around, and this was the only place open late and nearby--and I'm so glad I did. From the moment I walked in, the experience was amazing. Raymond went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. He even had me try on shoes to ensure the length was exactly right, which I really appreciated. I originally asked if they could be ready by Friday (my ceremony was Saturday), but when I called to see if Thursday was possible, he made it happen without hesitation. The pants turned out perfectly hemmed--exactly what I needed for such an important day. The attention to detail, professionalism, and quality of work here are top-notch. I'm incredibly grateful and will definitely be coming back in the future. Highly recommend to anyone looking for expert tailoring and great service!

I'll definitely be coming back for any future alterations!

After searching around the city, my fiancée and I came across Cuffs & Collars. We had a brief meeting with one of the two brothers who run the shop, and afterward, we decided to go with them. The plan was simple: I'd collect the measurements from my groomsmen, who were scattered around the country, and the shop would handle the sizing, claiming the tuxedos were "custom from Italy." While technically rentals, I was told the tuxes were new, could be tailored to fit each guy, and Italian-made--exactly what they advertise. This is where things started to go downhill. Communication was difficult from the start, and out of everything involved in planning the wedding, the tuxedos turned out to be the most stressful part. I paid for half of them upfront. When I went to pick them up a while later, the jackets were correct--but the pants were completely wrong. They looked like basic suit pants, not the formal tuxedo style we had discussed. I immediately asked for them to be swapped out, as the wedding was getting close and I needed to ship everything to the groomsmen so they could tailor them as needed. Eventually, I received the "new" pants--only to realize they were the same pants with the strip of satin added. Worse, they were absurdly long--clearly designed for someone who is in the NBA. This required significant alterations. A few of the tuxedos were completely mismatched. Instead of using the measurements I provided, the shop had simply matched jacket sizes to corresponding pants sizes--ignoring the fact that everyone's build is different. When we asked for replacements due to these errors, we were charged full price again, despite the fact that the mistakes were theirs. It was during one of these exchanges that I discovered the tuxedos weren't made in Italy at all--they were made in China. I felt misled. I was sold on high-quality, Italian-made tuxedos, and that's not what we received. Ultimately, we made it work. The tailor we used did an ok job with what he had, and my wife said I looked great. But if you're considering using this shop, I'd strongly recommend double-checking exactly what you're getting--especially if you're being promised something "custom" or "Italian."

What a breath of fresh air. Proper classic men's tailoring is not dead. Christian in Boston did a superb job of measuring me and finding the right classic cut. He made an old guy like me look like a million bucks. My son needed a suit for the wedding so I sent him to the Manhattan location. Beautiful fabrics, beautiful tailoring and fine workmanship.
