I've been a loyal Lululemon customer, but my recent visit to this location left me disheartened. The staff's unwelcoming and rude demeanor was unexpected, especially given my positive experiences in the past. I hope management addresses this issue, fostering a more customer-friendly environment and ensuring the team focuses on customer assistance and maintaining a well-stocked inventory for a better overall shopping experience. Very poor selection of items on the floor and not that many items to shop from like usually. I believe the location inside the prudential has better options so if you have the time then definitely just walk down the street and look over there but this location has a poor selection. Then at the cashier Emily S. was out of the ordinary helpful and then I decided to buy an orange waist pack. I'm a yogi for 20plus years and was intimidated by your expensive prices but once I felt my pants and waist bag, I feel They were made for me. Was disappointed to not receive the usual great customer service I expect from Lululemon! Maybe since this is a touristy location, they don't feel the need to be as helpful. I brought in a pair of leggings that had tragically ripped hoping something could be done since $100 leggings is a big investment as a starving graduate student. Instead of being helpful, the representative was short with me and shamed me for ripping my pants and said I should not have done that even though we both knew that the lululemon policy offers a lifetime guarantee. Basically she told me that there was nothing she could do because my pants were no longer in stock and could not be hemmed and was quite rude. I would say that this particular lulu lemon gets 5 stars because they have two floors here - first floor is their usual shop and the second floor is a cafe and a classroom. I only came in here for the cafe as I've never experienced this at any other lulu locations. The stairs to the second floor is located towards the men's section in the middle (in case you have trouble finding it). The cafe is super spacious with great natural lighting - perfect for studying and to just relax. I ordered a pineapple, pear, and mint juice. It was incredibly refreshing. They offer many other options as well. My friend ordered a latte with cashew milk and that was SO good. It was strong - just the way I like it. I am quite tempted to take a look into one of their classes. In terms of the brand - I have yet to find another brand that fits me as well as Lulu's clothing does. My go-to for everything - sports bras, leggings, socks, etc. Not only are their leggings super soft and comfortable, it is very durable. read more

So good. I almost didn't believe there was a Lululemon on Newbury Street since there's one hidden inside the Copley mall a whopping five minutes and one street away. But, I always have better luck parking on Newbury vs Boylston, and don't fully understand how to navigate the Mandarin Oriental to get inside the other location. (and I found that staff annoying) Maybe just because I went to this location on a mission to get my yoga shop on in a serious way(and do R&D on their tanks, since each cut fits me differently and I like to know my size in case an adorable pattern comes along), I found the three employees who chatted me up and helped me find colors and sizes(and complimented my GGO pants and asked where I practice yoga) charming and extremely helpful. I walked into their (enormous, maybe kill bill-inspired) fitting room with 8 items and left with three. I'd just peeped the Lulu website today, and the store seemed to have different and new stock. Love Lululemon - did you know that they will tailor the hem of most pants for free! I JUST learned this...how did I miss this. I found out when purchasing a pair of clearance pants and mentioned that they were a bit long. The salesperson responded with 'but we do free hemming'. LOVE IT! I have lots of work out clothes from all over - ranging from cheapie to expensive, and all of my lululemon pants/skirts/shorts are wonderful. They make you look great, they fit really well, most of their running pants have zipper pockets (you'd think this is normal, this isn't!!!), and they wash/wear really well even if you stick them in the dryer (like I do). So, love these stores and this spot is really cute! read more

I am a tall woman, so I have to wear mens' pants. Lululemon is where I go for my pants--mens' pants. Like a lot of women who wear mens' pants, I prefer the pants in stretch fabrics. However, I really hate this company. It has a really strange corporate culture. Can I just say that lululemon used to be hot. Key phrase use to be! I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years spending so much money...well the end! Their customer service is atrocious and forget ever trying to bring anything back that you purchased. Recently a got a bomber, zipper was very flimsy (working every other time). I paid $99, got on sale as it was originally $148. Zipper was so annoying I took the jacket back to the store. Was told by the girl that they cannot take it back because it was on sale! Seriously?! It's $100 jacket you would expect for it to work! Oh yeah and it still had all the tags attached. She gave me an attitude and basically refused to give anything back to me. She ddI offer an exchange, but why would I want the same jacket with such bad zipper?! Please start Going to athleta, quality is now better and service is top notch. A few months ago, a friend walked into a Lululemon to get me something for my birthday. She asked the sales girl to show her whatever they got in within the last 2 days...because if they had it in the store more than that...I probably already have it. Very true. Anyone who knows me knows that unless in the shower, I need at least 2-3 articles of Lulu on me at all times. Really, I should do a Lulu Yelp review on my closet, as it's about the same as a store. Point being...I know my Lulu. I am very excited there is a new Lulu in the back bay, so now I can walk back and fourth between Newbury and the Pru stores. This one has a much bigger selection of men's clothing than I've seen in others. Because it's brand new, they have all the current colors in every size, which is great, because I at times leave sad seeing every damn size except 4 when I find the perfect capris that I can't live without. All the staff here are very friendly, and there are lots of dressing rooms...just don't use the last one on the left...if you are a peeping tom with high power binoculars you will see down into it. read more

Walking in here today reminded me why I stopped shopping at lululemon. Quality has gone done, prices have gone up. Seems like they have fallen victim to the "getting too big for your britches" situation. They have grown so fast but are now just the Gap of athletic wear. I walked into this location today looking for a specific item. Even though I've sworn off lulu, they make a particular pant that I have not been able to replace from another brand. After looking around at the two racks of men's clothes for about 10 minutes I didn't find what I came in for and decided to leave. The whole time I was shopping, two "educators" stood around talking to one another and completely ignored us. It wasn't until we started heading out of the store that they broke off from the conversation and said "Hey guys how are you?" to which I replied "leaving" as we walked out the door. Apparently now they are so big they dont have to worry about customer service anymore either. read more

This is what customer service and going above and beyond is all about! I've always been a big fan of lululemon, but my recent experience has made me a forever customer. I came in and chatted with one of the ladies and happened to have told her a story about a beautiful and my all time favorite pull over that got ruined at the laundry mat. She offered that I bring in the pull over so they can try so do something about it. The following day I came in and the whole lululemon team was so helpful, awesome, and overall extremely understanding. They called into a different store and helped replace my jacket!! I have to say that I am SO GRATEFUL to the whole team! I have never encountered such wonderful consumer service. And not only that, they just seemed like really happy people that loved working there! Quality has gone down, customer service pretty typical--- act as if your presence is an inconvenience. I took in a pair of align leggings that were so badly pilled after just a few months that they were unwearable. Since they were so expensive, I asked for an exchange. They reluctantly agreed but will berate you on why it's your fault. The questions were pretty funny though: "do you run in them?", "do you wash them?". Um yes I do happen to exercise in my exercise clothes and proceed to wash them after like any sane individual. Anyways, got another pair but definitely is quite a process. Definitely avoid aligns, they're literal garbage. read more

For those of you who know me - you know that this is my all time biggest addiction. I literally have to control myself from shopping here every day... and with a location as good as this it's that much harder. This location, by far, has the friendliest staff of all the Lululemons I have visited. No egos here, no attitude and no snotty sales staff who act like they are doing you a favor by talking to you like they are at most stores. Normally I put up with this behavior because their products are so good - but here you get the best of both worlds. It's like Nordstrom customer service combined with Lulus products - love it. It's a little smaller than some, but they have most of what I need, plenty of fitting rooms and a great location. Only downside is that their sale pieces are mixed in with everything else instead of all being on one rack so it makes identifying them a bit harder. Other than that though - not one complaint! best part - if you are a fitness instructor (Pilates, Yoga, Spinning etc.) show them a form of proof, like your business card, your name on a schedule etc. and you will receive 15% off everything in the store that you buy for yourself. Pretty darn awesome (or dangerous as the husband would say). read more

This is my new favorite Lululemon based on two reasons: the service is top-notch and the selection is far better than the nearby Prudential location and the Natick location currently in renovation. I stopped in one Saturday night around 7:30 because I bought a pair of shorts online that weren't really my style (we've all done it before ... we order something online and receive quite a shock once the package arrives) and I wanted a second opinion on a jacket I purchased as well. Unbeknownst to me, this particular location closed at 8:00 instead of 9:00. Despite having said that, the staff went out of their way to help me find a new pair of shorts, try on a pair of pants, and a jacket. Anna, one of the Lululemon staff, went so far above and beyond helping me pick out new clothes and I appreciate her help immensely. I am now a customer of the Newbury location because the staff was superb -- I never felt rushed out of the store, all my questions were answered, and they kept encouraging me to try new stuff. The selection of products is larger than the Prudential location and I am glad I stopped in! read more

Overall Lululemon is amazing. I feel magical when I'm wearing anything Lulu. Pants that hug my legs without limiting my range of motion even just a little bit? Fantastic. Jackets and hoodies that wrap up my torso promising to never leave me uncomfortable for even just a second? Love. This is my favorite Massachusetts Lulu location. The selection (both regular-priced and clearance) is much better than that at the Pru, just a few minutes walk away. And the staff! They are lovely, wonderful people. They are always willing to help whether it's by suggesting a product or helping you find another size while you are between yoga pants in the fitting room. And actually, the other night I was browsing and one of the associates came up to me to let me know that they closed at 8 pm. I checked my watch and it was 8:07; I apologized profusely and said that I would just wrap up and head to the cash register. I really hate to generate bad karma, but my latest visit to this store today wasn't good. All of the associates were really wonderful except for one male associate, who repeatedly harped on the fact that a sale item I received for my birthday (and wanted to exchange) was in fact, on SALE, and initially refused to process my exchange until I told him a friendlier male associate had advised me that an exchange was ok. He even went so far as to point out the sticky part of the price tag where the sales sticker was, told me that someone had taken it off, and when he agreed to the exchange he pointed out AGAIN that the price on the tag was NOT the actual value of the shirt. I was upset, and he knew I was upset, and he started to HUM while processing the exchange. I was upset enough to discuss with the store manager who was receptive, but the resolution she offered wasn't quite what I had hoped for, which would be 1. she'd share feedback with him to let him know that maybe customers with returns shouldn't be viewed so suspiciously? Or something, I don't know. and 2. associates should be aware of the return policies and be on the same page about the rules so as not to confuse customers. I feel really uncomfortable about returning to this location so luckily I can go to the Prudential Center, or even Derby Street location. read more

I've been a lululemon customer since 2004, and I was excited to see a new store come into town recently. The staff was friendly, although not quite as knowledgeable about the products as I would hope (then again, I own a lot and know a lot about their products and materials through other websites and clothing research). The design of the store is pretty freaking cool, and I loved the giant sliding-door dressing room I was assigned to. Not that the Pru is out of the way by any means, but it's nice having this within the 2 blocks that I frequently go to for shopping for clothes and groceries. read more

We all know that Lulu has amazing quality, but this store in particular has really friendly staff and a cute location. I love walking around in here and checking out their adorable new lines on my way to yoga to motivate myself, and if I find something I love, sometimes I'll reward myself on the way back. Obviously everything in here makes you look super fit and athletic (even if you're still getting there like me!) so it's a huge confidence booster every time I get a new top or anything. Highly recommended for those of us who need some encouraging rewards on our way to better personal fitness! read more

I love love love lululemon but the associates at this store are rude and carry a sense of entitlement just because they work at an upscale store. I was looking for a particular size and an associate snapped at me because I had disturbed her presentation and she had to refold a pair of pants. You're much better off walking a few blocks to the prudential center lululemon where the staff is friendlier and actually helpful. read more

My first trip to a Lululemon store (yes, ever) was the other day, to this location on Newbury St. I have to say, the entire experience was a positive one! The sales associates were all lovely, helping me when I needed it but letting me browse as well. They offered great opinions and tips on the clothing as I tried items on. Amelie was especially wonderful. As far as stock, I don't have any comparison, but they seemed to have a good variety of both styles and sizes. The customer service at this store has been awful every single time I've been in. Sure, a few times it was so busy there wasn't a place to stand, but other times it's been completely dead. Honestly, I don't care how busy you are: it's really quite easy to say "We're really busy right now, but we'll be with you when we can." If I am supposed to pay 60 dollars for a tank top, I think I should at least be greeted and thrown a quick "How may I help you today?" bone. Going to this store (and to the one in the Pru) makes me look for yoga/exercise clothes elsewhere. read more

I LOVE lululemon, but especially THIS lululemon. Let me start off this review, by saying it was a cold and rainy day. Blistery - and my only salvation was popping into the storefront adorned with the endearing omega symbol. I was the only one there on my way to yoga, carrying my wet yoga mat. Perhaps the sales people saw me as a sad, wet, puppy dog with my limpy, wet, yoga mat because all of a sudden one of the employees came up to me and said, "We would like to give you this free yoga bag, so you can keep your yoga mat dry." I of course looked at her with inquiring eyes and said, "Is this a joke?" She responded, "No - it's for you, we just wanted to make sure you could keep your mat dry." This simply made my day, and I ended up buying twice as much as I intended (A ploy?) And for the record - the bag did keep my yoga mat dry. 5 stars for lululemon on Newbury Street. They care about yoga mats. read more
