I've wanted to try aerial for years and finally told myself to just do it! And I am so glad I did!! The instructor had very helpful walk throughs as well as walked around the class giving extra support / encouragement when needed. I felt so comfortable in the class and am excited to come back for more! read more

Went there with a group for a private class. The instructor was friendly and helpful. As we were all beginners, I appreciated that she walked around to make sure everyone was doing ok. She also made sure everyone's silk was at the appropriate length before class started. Be sure to wear long sleeves and leggings, your skin will thank you. If you have sore knees be sure to bring your own mat as the ones they have are pretty thin. read more

Came in for a beginner class, brand new to aerial. They have an assistant instructor who helps us feel supported, esp when learning a backflip. It's a great class to challenge yourself! If you like being in a hammock, this is the studio for you! Don't forget your yoga mat! ($5 to borrow). Friendly staff as well. They are on ClassPass which is great to try when visiting the area! Def try to arrive on time or they have written they won't let you in. read more

As someone new to aerial yoga, I tried their recovery class which was meant to be a relaxing, stretching class. Veronica was great, and her instructions on getting to the different positions were very clear, and the meditation was calming. I think I still have to get a hang of the hammock, and the constant swaying was a bit dizzying for me and caused a mild headache. Otherwise the atmosphere was very relaxing, and it's worth a visit if you are curious or have liked aerial yoga before! read more

Swet was a very unique experience! I really enjoyed trying aerial yoga, and the instructor was very beginner friendly. Looking back on the photos and videos from that day is making me want to search for something similar locally. I highly recommend, it's a fun yet rewarding activity that hardly feels like exercise. read more

I was always interested in trying aerial silks since I was a kid, however, not many places offer it. I was ecstatic to find that Swet Studio offers aerial yoga classes, which was the next best thing. I purchased the intro 2 classes special, which includes two classes & expires 30 days from purchase date. I did have an issue with the website after booking the classes as the classes I chose did not appear in my upcoming classes nor did my purchase of the intro classes show up in purchase history. When the day of the first class I booked came, I attempted to call the studio 7 times throughout the morning and all calls went straight to voicemail. I decided to just drive there and go in person to see if I would be able to still take the class. Luckily, my bookings of the classes went through and I was able to take both classes I signed up for. Heads up: If you purchase the intro 2 class, the first class they offer you a yoga mat to use free of charge & the second class they will charge you $5 to use their mat via venmo or cash/card. Instructors are helpful and will help you with poses if you are struggling. The second class was definitely more enjoyable for me because the first class had to be a beginner class that was slower paced. I would come back in the future! read more

I'm 90+ classes in to my membership with SwetStudio so it's about time I write a review! SwetStudio is my home away from home. I love coming here and seeing all the familiar faces! All of the instructors are very kind and accommodating. I regularly take classes with Veronika and Kerry. Both of them make class an equal mix of challenging and relaxing so you definitely feel the class was worth it without getting burnt out on attending. I will also say as someone who has recovered from two surgeries and multiple broken bones (from an accident unrelated to the studio) I have always been met with care and support from the instructors giving me tips on modifications so I can still participate. They also keep things interesting by hosting different events every few months like meditations and aerial dance. I'm a member for a reason. I tested the waters with a buy one get one free class and now I can't imagine practicing anywhere else! read more

This business simply does not pick up their phone. Last time I was unable to attend my class after being about 5 minutes late. I called over 10 times and got no answer. Even after posting my initial review - they were sure to update their post on class pass to indicate they will not be allowing late entry but, still did nothing on the customer service front. This time, I decided to give the business another chance. I even brought 2 people with me. Out of respect for the rules, We are 35 minutes early, and locked out standing in the heat, one of the women I am with is up there in age. It is about 90 degrees and I keep calling, again to no answer. the door is locked and we are left melting outside. Atleast provide your customers with an effective line of communication. I am not upset about the rule, more so the lack of customer service. Its just disappointing and is starting to seem like you all simply dont care about their customers. read more

Really great experience as a first timer! For ClassPass users, you have to pay a rental fee to use the mat

Took an Antigravity Fundamentals class with Silviya and it was so much fun! As an instructor she takes the time to explain and help each person get the hang of inversions and ensures each student is safe prior to going upside down. Another plus is the small class sizes! There 7 swings which guarantees a focus on the students! During the class we did three different inversions which worked parts of me I didn't know could be worked! I was a little sore the next day, which shows this class is definitely a full body experience. If you get lightheaded or nauseous easily, drink water and take it slowly! The class isn't in the most convenient location but I will definitely be coming back to work on inversions in the future using Classpass. It's about a 10 minute walk from Back Bay station or Tufts Med. read more

Swet Studio - Spider pose! - Aerial Fitness Near Me - Boston, Massachusetts

This is the only studio in Boston I've found that offers aerial yoga so I was really excited to try it. Veronika was FANTASTIC! Highly skilled, and very helpful. I wish they did offer beginner classes a little more frequently, there's a pretty limited schedule and the ones on the weekend definitely do fill up. It's a little scary, but the instructors are accustomed to helping new students frequently so I didn't at all feel out of place or lost during the class. They do have a good option for first classes (BOGO), but their regular classes are pricier and I can't see myself coming here that often. All in all - everyone should definitely try an aerial yoga class at least once, and this is the place to do it. read more

Took an amazing ariel class here last night! The teacher, Kerry Ann, was top notch. She brought a beautiful theme into the class, which set the scene for a heart opening experience and the flow was both challenging and exciting. I got such a good mental and physical workout. The pace was great, the flow was creative, and the music was super complimentary to the experience. I will definitely be back! read more

I love Swet Studio! I came here on a whim last November because I wanted to try aerial fitness, and I ended up coming back many times because I enjoyed it so much. I took the fundamentals class four times, in addition to one yoga and one pilates class. I've taken classes taught by Silviya and Veronika, and they are both very friendly, professional, and helpful in making sure everyone stays safe and enjoys themselves, particularly when inverting. They were also very helpful in explaining the intermediate classes to me when I first moved up from the fundamentals classes. The studio space is beautiful and spacious with a very relaxing and positive ambiance, and at the end of every class I feel stronger, taller, more flexible, and less stressed. Definitely hoping to be back soon! read more

My friends and I have been wanting to try an aerial yoga class for so long, so we took advantage of Swet Studio's new client buy one get one free class deal. Swet Studio also has a reward system with perkville where you can earn points towards free classes! If you refer your friend, you get 50 points and they get 3 classes for the price of one. I recommend heading there early, because they have a very strict late policy. You'll need time to fill out a waiver if it's your first visit, as well as getting measured for your hammock. We were definitely nervous going into our first time riders class, but our instructor Jen did such a great job at walking us through each step. We did stretches and poses in and out of the hammock, learned how to get into an inversion and how to do a backflip out. I never thought I'd be able to back flip out of the hammock after my first class, but I did!!! I had such a good time at the first time rider's class that I immediately signed up for the beginners yoga class. Beginners yoga with Lauren was the perfect next step from first time riders. The poses were more challenging and I definitely felt the burn. I had a great experience at Swet Studio. It's a welcoming environment with very knowledgeable and friendly instructors. Instead of feeling intimidated by a completely new workout, I was having so much fun with it. I will definitely be back! read more

I am a personal care assistant for a young woman who is legally blind. I explained her special accommodations that would allow her to take this (meditation) class and was shut down pretty quickly by the man on the phone. I don't want to call this establishment ableist, but it the man on the phone was not very willing to work with us here. It made me sad as her aid and her friend. Other group fitness/meditation classes are very accommodating. read more

Love this place !!! A place everyone just needs to try out once at least and I'd be shocked if they only go one time! My plan was to go just the once to see what it was all about just being plain nosey and there was a buy one get one free offer at the time so i thought why not go try something a bit differnt!!!!! It's fun it's so DIFFERNT to any other kind of workout and the stretching makes my back feel so good the tunes are pumping and the instructors are just the best i was so nervous the first time and they make you feel so as ease and they make you not feel silly asking questions or asking for help ..it's a pretty small class so there is always someone close to help with your invertions it's -also relaxing at the end u get to lie up in the cocoon which i looove...:::a hidden gem.. can't wait to return REPLY read more

I have been going to SWET studio for the last 5 months. I have no words to describe how much I love it. I love the aerial classes. It is not just only so much fun, but you will inevitably get so strong. If you take the CORE & ARMS class you are in for a strength training equivalent to a rough day at the gym, BUT it is fun and much healthier for your body. I a former runner, and maintaining a high cardio physique is important to me. The ROW class takes care of that. Not only do you get an intense cardio workout, but you avoid the pressure running normally subjects on your knees. I now come as often as I can, and can't recommend it enough. read more

Came here for a Mon night Aerial Yoga class: The good: 1. very very friendly check in people 2. 2 for 30 bucks deal 3. awesome teacher (Kristin?)-- explained a lot, very relaxing restorative class, and there was an assistant, too. 4. loved the idea of doing this type of yoga- so random but really cool! grounded in ancient philosophy too on how yoga is great for the mind/body read more

Not only are all the instructors great, but the classes are great too! I would never have tried a Pilates class otherwise, but did at Swet Studio and it was great! The instructors help if they are needed, and they also demonstrate how to do each thing. There are a number of fabric hammocks to incorporate for lots of people. Accessibility wise, the studio is accessible, though there is a small lip to get onto the floor where the hammocks are. There's a single stall bathroom that's gender neutral and physically accessible, and two (also gender neutral) changing rooms. The instructors use microphones when teaching classes. There are so many class options and at so many different times (From early morning to late night) It's definitely worth it all in all! read more

Love this studio. There is no better deep back or hip stretch then aerial yoga which is why I continue to go. Everything always feels better for a few days after class! The instructors are always upbeat and friendly. Has a very nice fully stocked bathroom with everything you could ever need too! read more

Classes are super fun and the teachers are amazing! If you ever are unsure how to do a pose they will come by and help.

I just finished my first class and must say, that I was a little nervous since I've never done any sort of aerobics course, but the instructor and her assistant were so nice, helpful, and patient with all the students there. The instructor was also very calming and seemed very down to earth and approachable which I really appreciated. She really took time to break down each step and model it for us. I wish I caught her name, but she was running the 730 pm Tuesday beginner class. I definitely will return again for another class and look forward to further challenging myself! I highly recommend checking out the class if you're in the area and looking to try something new. They have some good deals on the Mind Body app for new class registrants, too. read more

Just started my journey back to yoga and thought aerial yoga looked amazing. Took my beginners class and would definitely recommend people to do so. Silviya is very good and enjoy the class very much. Process was simple and straight forward to sign up. If you call, most likely will reach. Voicemail but they do return the call. Class overall is very informal and fun. It prepares you to take the more advanced classes later on. I believe at least 3-4 beginner classes will help lead to becoming a better student. At the end, you can take cool pictures while in the fabric. It's also relaxing which is a plus. read more

I was so excited for the class. I got intro discount: 2 for $30. Jenn was our instructor for the beginner class. she was awesome. i felt safe and confident throughout the class. Though I was a bit nervous before the class, Jenn makes sure that everyone is aware of what they are doing and assists if needed. I'll be coming back for more classes. I can't wait to be more comfortable with hammocks and learn more :) Definitely recommend! read more

Anti-gravity classes (can also be interpreted as aerial yoga/training): I like the progression of the classes. You start as first-timers and beginners, then you can take more advanced level classes such as Fly. I began with fear of going upside down, but through practice and deep breathing, I was able to do it in the first or second inversion. Row classes: These classes are generally a mix of rowing and weight exercises on the floor. The rowing machines are nice, and you can go at your own pace, though the instructor does push you to go faster with good form. One last note: Sylvia, who I believe is the owner, is great. She is one of the instructors who will go the extra mile to help you out! For example, one time, when talking about ideal food portion sizes after class, she literally went inside her office to print out helpful materials for us to measure portion sizes! Also, based on the other students, she seems very dedicated to what she does and believes that all her students can reach their physical goals no matter what size they are. Extra points for the gender neutral bathrooms and the safe spaces for all! read more

I took the beginners class with a friend on a Sunday. It was so much fun! The instructor was detailed in instructions so you don't feel lost, you are definitely in a beginners class, so don't expect anything crazy but you still learn 3 inversions. As a beginner you do stop a little earlier in inversions then those who have been - but don't feel like you are getting gipped it is for safety. My favorite was doing back flips into front flips but focusing on the core and controlling the movement. After the class Sylvia is more than happy to take pictures of you and a friend in an inversion or lets you play around for a few minutes. It definitely made me want to go again, can't wait to go back read more

My friends wanted to try out Aeriel Yoga for the first time - I was all for it. I bought the introduction offer, where you two classes for the price of one. I have never taken any type of yoga class, so I was excited/nervous to try this out. I took the beginners AG yoga class on a Sunday. It was pretty easy to find a parking spot, but I'm not sure about the other days. The studio was very clean and note: they make you take your shoes off after a certain point so you have to leave your shoes by the front door. Jennifer was the instructor for the class and she really enforced being on time and/or arriving early if possible. This is so that you have time to fill out a PAR-Q (questionnaire) and to get measured for the height of the hammock. If you arrive late, you will lose your spot in the class (which will suck since you cannot get a refund for the class - reason why this isn't 5 stars). Jennifer was engaging and very informative about each of the movements. As a beginner and for the most part, very uncoordinated, I was able to follow along. She also walked around the class to assist anyone if needed. My favorite part of the class was doing the back flip to get off the hammock. All my friends who attended the class with me really enjoyed the class. I have already told my other friends about AG yoga and they are willing to try it out! I am taking the Rowing class next; hopefully I will have as much fun as I did with the yoga class. I would definitely take the AG yoga class at Swet Studio, again. P.S. I LOVE their playlist!! read more

I haven't written a review in quite a long time, but this place is worth it! This is a MUST TRY studio! I first came across it from a Facebook ad, where the anti-gravity yoga caught my eye. They give a discount on your fist class, so I convinced 2 friends to come with me. We were greeted right away by Silviya, the owner, who was extremely nice. She gave us our wavers, and then gave us the tour. I really love the looks of the place...very industrial loft-like. High ceilings, exposed brick and beams, metal poles, pink lighting, metal walls. Very cool. There is a changing area with lockers and a bathroom with lots of free sample products. So day one (yes, there are multiple days to report on, as we loved it so much we had to try more classes)...we get set up in our stretchy nylon hammocks hanging from beams. There were about 6 in the class, plus the instructor. We learned to do a variety of stretches, arm strengthening, ab work, inversions, flips...for me...not super challenging, but definitely fun. They have a level 2 class that you can take after a few level ones...I think that would be more my pace. So I did the same class for day 2, as they want you to take a few basic anti-gravity classes to get your body used to it before doing the more advanced class. Day 3 was a Bollywood class. I had no idea what this was about, but wanted to try something different. There were about 6 of us in the class, so plenty of room to move around. The instructor went at a quick pace...it was basically follow along as best you can with what she does. The music was great, and was a fun class...but the moves, to me felt awkward, as I had never done it before. Would be great if they could be broken down a little. Still worth checking out though! My last class of the week (I would have done more, but was going away for a few days) was a HIIT style class called Mojo Transformation. This was my favorite of the classes. Sylviya will kick your a** in this hour. We did 3 rounds of various timed exercises, like rowing races, battle ropes, pull-ups (assisted for me), box jumps, abs, squats, etc. Little rest in between. You will burn 1 million calories, and feel amazing after. I would absolutely recommend Swet to a friend, and will be back! Thanks, Sylvia, for opening up such a great place! read more

I have only taken rowing classes here so far, but I LOVE Veronika! She is very motivating and always provides a great workout. The rowing class is great for all levels from novice up. Swet Studio is THE friendliest workout studio I've been to in Boston! I know what you're thinking - "Why do I want to know how friendly a studio is? I just wanna get toned/ripped/swole/etc." How genuinely nice the staff is, to me, a true indicator of how much they care about their clients. If the staff is friendly, you're more likely to come back. The more you come back, the more likely you'll start developing a healthy lifestyle. The more you nurture the development of a healthy lifestyle...you see where I'm going. I first tried Swet Studio to do the AntiGravity Fundamentals I class. Never tried it, looks interesting, why not? Jen, the instructor was awesome!! She's welcoming, gives very clear instructions, and spots everyone so you don't need to worry about flying out of your silk hammock when you're doing an inversion during your first (yup, I said FIRST) class. But don't worry! Jen never forces you to do a pose that you're not comfortable with but she'll give lots of encouragement! Swet also offers dance based classes, Indo-Row, and more if you wanna vary your workout routine. I came in a 6+ month-long ClassPass member and walked out a member of Swet Studio! Give it a try! (Psst! You can even walk to Blackbird Doughnuts next door and get a sweet treat before/after your workout!) read more

I've been to AG (anti-gravity) yoga, AG restorative, and AG beginner classes at SwetStudio, and I've thoroughly enjoyed all three. The AG silk hammocks give amazingly sturdy yet gentle support, and as someone who's had sporadic lower-back pain and sciatica issues, the spinal decompression the hammocks enable has done wonders for me. (I always feel at least an inch or two taller after class!) The yoga class is a great way to get into anti-gravity work if you've already had some experience with yoga; the familiarity of the poses is helpful as you start to get used to using the silk hammock. The beginner class gives more work with things like back flips and inversions, and is an awesome way to get more into using the silks. Finally, the restorative class is great for relaxing after a long day. All the teachers are very enthusiastic and helpful, and do a great job crafting interesting and enjoyable sequences. I've especially enjoyed Silviya and Christie's classes; they make seemingly challenging poses accessible and help you do more than you think you can. SwetStudio also offers other fitness classes, including AG barre, AG core, AG fit, and rowing. I've never tried these, but I look forward to doing so in the future! read more

Attended the Indo-Row class last night! There were only 4 people in the class but the small size provided lots of individual attention. The class for formatted with a warm up, 3 1200 meter races during which the instructor lead us through different intervals and intensities. To finish the class we broke up into teams for a 400 meter race! The class was fun and overall a good workout! The studio is large and open with the aerial yoga on one side and the rowers brought out to the open space! read more

I have done two classes here and both times the instructors were great and put everyone at ease as they explained the moves very well. First class I attended was the first timer class, which was great but I thought it was a requirement for the beginner's class. It was slightly annoying to deal with people that had never done it before but I wasn't an expert either. The place was clean, reception was friendly. Wish there was a shower to clean up after but they did have great smelling lotion in the bathroom. Two bathrooms and two changing areas. Great for someone that is trying to get over their fear of flipping or hand stands or someone who needs a break from their normal gym routine. read more

I have only attended one class here, Meditation with Lauren, and can't wait try Antigravity Yoga this Saturday! The staff was very friendly and the class was at a perfect time to start out the weekend on a relaxing note. Lauren was great at the guided meditation and I felt more comfortable than I expected in the hammocks. I'm new to the area and I've been searching for a studio that offers a variety of unique classes and I think I've found it at Swet. The intro deal was great as it lets you try out a few classes before committing, can't wait to go back! read more

I found this studio on ClassPass while looking for a short midday yoga class that I could pop out for during lunch. With much luck I was able to sign up for the "Levitation (floating and meditation)" was available yesterday. I was able to find this studio easily and had no trouble finding a meter right out front. Walking in I was greeting by a very warm and welcoming Tanuja. The studio itself has a great feeling and I was excited to hear about the wide variety of classes that Swet offers. We got started with the meditation straight away. Tanuja explained, in a very calming and comfortable way, how to get into the hammocks (not sure the technical term for these). I have no experience with meditation but she talked me through the entire process. The session flew by...I couldnt believe it when she said 20 minutes had passed (I usually have trouble meditating for more than a minute or two). By the time we finished the heavy chest that I have been feeling for the past year felt lighter for the first time. I felt a wave of energy and extreme happiness as I walked out of the studio. I would recommend this class to EVERYONE. The studio is fantastic and Tanuja is a bright light. FANTASTIC!! read more

I was looking for a spot to try aerial yoga, and started with the Restorative in a Hammock session. Much less aerial yoga, but strong focus on stretching using gravity, which I loved. The instructor asked us which areas of the body we'd like to focus on stretching and focused the exercises on those areas. It was GREAT for the lower back, and I loved the cocooning at the end! My only feedback would be to offer more beginner class offerings so we can advance to the "frequent flyer" classes quicker! read more

Going as a beginner to the yoga world, I was pretty nervous hopping up into a hammock and going upside down. The transition could not have been more smooth though, and I had a fantastic time. The instructor was kind, and skillful when leading the class into a new pose- even stopping by during one of the more relaxing positions and asking me if i wanted to swing from side to side. They have a deal for first-timers, where it's 30 dollars for 2 classes, which is incentive enough for me to come back with friends for my next class. read more

I found Swet Studio on ClassPass and took the antigravity beginners course, never having gone to even a yoga class before, and the experience was other-wordly. Kaitlin was an outstanding instructor and made everyone feel very welcome. She took the time to make sure we were all doing the moves safely. She will even take a picture of you in the hammock for your instagram after class is over. Even though I've only taken one class here I have already integrated time for it into my weekly schedule. I left Swet Studio beaming! Bonus: Blackbird Doughnuts is next door and they have outstanding cold brew if you want to spend the dime. read more

I set up a group session for my friends and I. 11 participants. I'll start by saying that from the moment you walked in it was a very tranquil environment. The space was clean, the lighting was perfect, and the energy was just right on track. Sylvia was a very attentive instructor. It was all of our first time and she really paid attention to our needs and helped us when we needed help. I would totally do this again on a more consistent basis. Thanks for a great birthday! read more

The beginner aerial yoga class was the first fitness class I've ever enjoyed in my life. I've gone back several times now and I'm hooked. I've always been very uncoordinated and had poor proprioception. This class is changing my whole way of being. I am so much more attuned to my body now, and I find myself stretching all the time. I really appreciate the careful attention to walking beginners through the process. I'm used to feeling like a dunce in fitness classes, and I didn't feel that way at all here. The instructors are great-- warm and friendly, and they started recognizing me and greeting me by name by my second class. read more
