The location is super convenient (right off 495) and the schedule works really well for me. I emailed Lauren & was able to get set up with access to the online scheduler even before my first session. It was irritating, more so since it was dark on that street so yeah. On to the class itself, my instructor was Tamar and she was very welcoming to me despite me arriving 5 minutes late and stepping on the dance floor with my shoes ( whoops! ) I was lucky to find a pole and was able to catch up with the rest of the class for the warm up ( did yoga class prior to loosen up so I still would have been fine. ). She taught us how to grip the pole properly, how to climb properly, how to do a spin properly, a handstand trick and made sure to walk around the room to see everyone do each trick once to make sure we were all on the same page. I was so nervous when she came to me but she was so non judgmental, easy going, and helpful that I loosen up after a while and was able to perform better in result. Really appreciated that! Despite the location still undergoing construction, the facility was still clean even the restroom which i appreciated so much! Would definitely return again. This company is welcoming to all walks of life. I felt at ease as a black woman coming here and didn't feel uncomfortable for a second! Jess has been working hard to open her own studio (GILDED STUDIO) in Boston but due to COVID 19, hasn't been able to officially open yet. Fear not!!! One good thing for me (and any of her former clients in SF) that comes with a pandemic viral crisis is that her classes are now online! I've really enjoyed her HIIT the mat class which is some cardio with pilates and weights. A great mix to keep you happy, healthy and sweaty. I also took her stretch class last week (right after the HIIT class and Loved it!!) Who doesn't need to stretch these days- with all the sitting and overall lack of movement while we Shelter in Place. Occasionally there are some hiccups with ZOOM, but who hasn't had issues when the entire WORLD is using one platform to connect for work these days? So have some patience. Jess's classes 100% are worth it.

We weren't sure what to wear but you could really wear anything you'd like, from sweats to basically just underwear but the more skin contact with the pole the better! I wore a cropped cami with a bra over it and nike pros and could've still used a little less fabric between the pole and me. They also sell some sticky tack stuff outside the studios for extra grip. Prepare to strut, sweat, and if you're like me, bruise your thighs from hopping on the pole to spin. Thanks for a great time!!

Loved the mirror situation and the lighting was so nice. Lots of mats, pads, etc equipment available. Parking: seemed tricky, I'm not sure if that's a Boston thing or just that area but the studio did include parking info in their email which was super rad
