First of all, you pull up and it's inside of a gun store, next to a trump store.. truly wanted to turn right around then but I had paid $28 for the class (more than what I pay at other places!) so I went in. That's when I realize they double book the classes, meaning there were 12 of us in the class and only 6 poles!!! Never have I ever had to share a pole before. The instructor didn't introduce herself to me, and started a half hour late while they posed for pictures. Then I had to sit on my ass for half the rest of the class because I was sharing a pole.. all for that high class price. The poles weren't even installed well, what a disaster. Some of the women in class were very nice to me, but this was a huge waste of my hard earned money and I will never go back!

The location is super convenient (right off 495) and the schedule works really well for me. I emailed Lauren & was able to get set up with access to the online scheduler even before my first session. Super convenient! As far as classes go, I've only done the intro level, but give me a few weeks & I hope to be moving up. Even the intro level was a tough workout, and I definitely broke a sweat and had my legs shaking. Definitely an awesome workout, and I can't wait until I'm flying around like a rockstar!

Jess has been working hard to open her own studio (GILDED STUDIO) in Boston but due to COVID 19, hasn't been able to officially open yet. Fear not!!! One good thing for me (and any of her former clients in SF) that comes with a pandemic viral crisis is that her classes are now online! I've really enjoyed her HIIT the mat class which is some cardio with pilates and weights. A great mix to keep you happy, healthy and sweaty. I also took her stretch class last week (right after the HIIT class and Loved it!!) Who doesn't need to stretch these days- with all the sitting and overall lack of movement while we Shelter in Place. Occasionally there are some hiccups with ZOOM, but who hasn't had issues when the entire WORLD is using one platform to connect for work these days? So have some patience. Jess's classes 100% are worth it.

We weren't sure what to wear but you could really wear anything you'd like, from sweats to basically just underwear but the more skin contact with the pole the better! I wore a cropped cami with a bra over it and nike pros and could've still used a little less fabric between the pole and me. They also sell some sticky tack stuff outside the studios for extra grip. Prepare to strut, sweat, and if you're like me, bruise your thighs from hopping on the pole to spin. Thanks for a great time!!
