I'm so tired of trying to convince myself that there can be good Mexican food in Utah. Any these bad places always have a lot of people in them. And people give them 4 and 5 star reviews. We love this place. Staff is always super friendly and very attentive always making sure our water and chips are always full even when they are busy. The food is good too. We like the chicken fajitas and the burritos. Both are very tasty and highly recommend. Haven't tried anything else because these are so good. Decent place. On a recent visit, I found the staff friendly and the place fairly clean. I was told there would be a wait of 10-15 minutes even though there were plenty of vacant tables. (I have to assume they were understaffed, especially during this time when companies are having a hard time finding employees, and due to the fact that they had a sign posted that they were hiring.) it was also explained to us by the host that some menu items had increased in price. Once seated at our still wet table and chairs, our waitress was attentive and our meal well-timed and flavorful. My only real issue was the lack of drink availability. There were no sugar-, caffeine-, and alcohol-free options other than water. Tables were cleared and cleaned quickly. I recommend this place and give 4 stars. read more

Guadalahonky's used to be so good! All the previous reviews are right on, this place isn't good!! The last thing I want to do is write a bad review, especially during COVID-19, but the food is just awful. We had a coupon and thought we would go. The chips were stale and the salsa tasted like it was from a jar. Sadly the chips were the best thing we ate there. My husband ordered the fish tacos$14, the corn tortillas were tough, and the toppings just didn't work! I ordered the Asada tacos, $13, the description sounded so good, but when our food arrived, we were both completely disappointed! I thought about sending my food back, and after trying both meals I realized nothing I ordered would be good! The atmosphere is really cute, the restaurant is a little dated but nice. So I have been going to Guads for some time, but haven't been in a while. I am sorry to say that things have changed, and not for the better. I started my meal as I usually do with the Honky Wings. This was by far the highlight of the meal. The sauce is sweet and spivey and the wings are well prepared. This is where the good food ended. I had the crab enchiladas that seemed extremely fishy. The taste was strong and bitter. My wife had a combo plates that just seemed to be covered in sauce and cheese to take away from the lack of flavor. For desert we shared a fried ice cream, which was nothing more then slightly below average. The service was decent and salsa was good, but the chips seemed stale. Went to Guads Sat night, 5/5/2018. Wait was not bad at 35-45 minutes, but after the wait came my problem. Server was great, but kitchen and bar could not get it together. Management did warn the kitchen was behind 30 minutes, but it was really an hour. There were 6 tables including ours feeding off of chips and salsa and no food. I wonder if the bar was taking priority this night for sinco de mayo. Our drink order went first. It came back wrong. Beer order came back wrong, but by the time it finally came I was so over it and pissed because we had been there for an hour at our table with no food besides 10 baskets of chips... and management was just like, are you good with this beer? Food was good when it finally came. I was watching as the food slowly came out to the other tables... you messed up several orders and not just mine. I did note, the complete lack of organization of the staff and communication between the staff... terrible. Guads, you do not get it together, you are going to end up closing. I am not sure why the kitchen was so far behind and why the bar could not kick out a correct beer, but it happened. I'm honestly not going to go to this restaurant again... and yes. $70 bill after getting over 2 hours there and the mess ups. Clearly this place has been in business for a long, long time as evident by the outdated furniture and massive amount of dust on all of the fixtures and the thatched straw roofs. There was also a nauseating smell of an old dish rag that emanated from the tables. I should have followed my gut and walked out when the hostess barked at my daughter about "no outside drinks". That's cool I respect the policy but teach your workers how to properly address customers. The food we ordered was plentiful but definitely lacked flavor. HORRIBLE SERVICE AND DISRESPECT I've been here a few times. The service in the Donkey tails section has always been good. But the service in the actual restaurant is never that good. This time was the worst and I don't know if I will ever go back. After we first got there my boyfriend asked about the military discount. So she said she would need ID. He showed her his driver license, it says veteran right on it. She said she didn't think she could take it. So he showed her his old military ID. She said she didn't think that would work she would have to ask. Never had that problem before, disrespectful. When we got our food we didn't have silverware, so we waited for her to come back so we could wave her down. She wasn't too good with refills. I know those are minor but it's like it was one thing after another. Then my boyfriend was drinking his beer and he had drank a lot of it when he noticed there was nasty crusted food on the inside of his cup. There was a good amount of food. So we waved her down again and told her. She said gross would you like another one. When we got the bill she had charged us full price for the beer that he didn't finish because of the gross cup. Then to top it off I got a gift cards for my birthday from restaurant.com. when we went to use it she said sorry we can't do more than one discount. How is my gift card a discount? Then she said that in order to use that gift card you would have to have an order that was twice as much as the gift card. So because my gift card was 25 I would have to spend 50. So I would have had to buy more food just to use the gift card. And we wouldn't be able to use the military discount if we paid with the gift card. Tell me how that makes sense.
