Amazing tacos!!!! I had the al pastor, birria, and carne asada tacos. They were all my favorite. I enjoyed each bite. The condiments with the tacos pair perfectly. The guacamole is so delicious! All three salsas were so good! I can't wait to come back to try more things, but I may end up ordering the same thing since it was so good. The service was not the best. Our waiter was not the most attentive. If you're in a rush, this probably isn't the best place for a fast lunch. The restaurant is very small, so you may need to wait for a table/booth.

The birria is muy excellente!!! The beef is tender. The consommé supplements without being intrusive. I just love the texture of the crispy cheese. The habanero lemonade was fun to drink. It had a nice kick that got me at the back of my throat. Delicious. Everything I try here is so good! 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

This place is dope, little hole in the wall. It's a sit down, casual Mexican place with your usual suspects, but the tacos are what they're known for. I had the chorizo and al pastor tacos, and they were excellent. The tortillas are made in house, and chorizo wasn't greasy, the al pastor was amazing. You have to get that. The horchata was ok. A little thin.

Did not expect to love this place as much as I did! The restaurant is small on the inside but actually has plenty of tables/booths to sit at. Our waiter was great! He continued to check in on how we were doing and kept our waters filled. Very friendly too :) The food is incredible. We ordered the asada cheesy tacos and the Birria cheesy tacos. Absolutely amazing! Lots of flavor and cooked to perfection. Can't wait to try more things on the menu!

Aye carumba! LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! Found it about a year ago and have had them cater a party too. Tres tacos today - pastor con pineapple, chicken ticka and a chorizo. Love the way they from them on the grill to get them extra hot and cheesy from the outside in. As simple as it sounds, their chips are the best around. They could be a meal unto themselves! Servers are always working hard. Food comes out fast. I love State Street places like this.

I was skeptical about the quality of Mex cuisine here but the birria tacos and chips and salsa were great. We really enjoyed our first visit while visiting SLC. It was a recommendation from a local friend. The place was full when we arrived but we were seated and served promptly. The service was really friendly and personable. Overall highly recommend.

So glad we ran into this little hole in the wall. Not much to expect from the outside but once you get in, there are plentiful delicious options. We tried the barria tacos (look like taco version of a French dip) and the cheesy pastor. Both were good but the cheesy might be a bit better. Want to come back and try the other dishes!!!

Holy smokes. This place rocks. I've been several times and am never disappointed. Hands down best fish tacos in Utah. The breading is so flavorful yet light and I love all the toppings. I also always get their rice and beans. So yum, and the chips and salsa are to die!

This is one of those hole in the wall gems. I wish it had more seating but that seems to add to the rarefied feeling of it. Fantastic food, especially their famous tacos. Food came quick, service was great.

Don't let the outside fool you. Although it looks sketchy on the outside the inside has a nice little charm to it. The service was very kind and accommodating, although there was a little bit of a language barrier -- NBD. We got a lot of food and it was all delicious. I especially liked their chicken cheesy tacos. I was worried there wouldn't be enough to fill me so I got two plates, and only ended up eating three and taking the other three to go home. Their salsa was yummy and their chips were made fresh. A little too thick in my opinion but the flavor was there! Very very yummy! Mojito lemonade was delish as well!

It was good but I'm not sure it was worth being packed in like a sardine. It was very loud and I kept bumping the neighbor's table.

The restaurant has limited parking! Tiny! Parking is a joke! There is maybe 6-7 parking spaces on the east side. Maybe 2-3 at the back of the building, which is one way. It limits the ability to drive around the back of the building. There are two parking spaces on the west side of the building. I have seen cars get totally stuck, people yelling and getting upset. If you have a large vehicle, I would not even try to drive around the building. I would drive south of the restaurant and park at the whitmore library's parking lot, and walk over. Service is okay. Ordering is cramped, and if there's a line you're standing at the back of the restaurant right next to people sitting eating. It's uncomfortable. During the summer there is seating inside and outside, but during high times you have to wait for a table! During the winter there are 12 tables, most of which are room for 2 people, four tables for 4 people, 5 if you can fit. This restaurant is SO popular, they really need to move to a larger building! One with plenty of parking and more seating. I love their food so much I would go once a week if there was more seating and parking, otherwise it's just too stressful!

Unfortunately I kind of wish I didn't. We tried the fish tacos, shrimp tacos, Carne Adovada Burrito, nachos with shredded beef, and horchata. The dish with the most flavor was the nachos. I'd give that dish a 4. The horchata was pretty good too. Definitely above average horchata. But the rest of the dishes didn't have enough flavor, even after adding salsa from their salsa bar. This was pretty disappointing and we wished we had picked a different restaurant for lunch.
