I love this place. Their food is so good and reasonably priced. Nice and clean inside great service
Great Mexican restaurant! The staff were friendly, attentive providing good service. I had the chili-Verdi enchilada and house margarita. Both were great. I'll definitely return to La Hacienda when my travels find me in Draper UT.
We were sat immediately and the place was definitely busy. Our server was super nice l. The chips and salsa were super good but very small portions. After your third small bowl they charge you. It's not much .50cents. Definitely worth it. I got cheese enchiladas because there was nothing on the menu that looked good. The cheese enchiladas were very dry the rice was even drier and the beans tasted like canned beans. My husband's carne asada now they were very good. I should have gotten that but I was kind of scared to get them, carne asada can be hit or miss. I figured you couldn't go wrong with cheese enchiladas, boy was I wrong.
Just finished playing 9 holes and hungry... I've lived here 2 years and have never dined here! Let's goooo! First impression... the decor is dated but who cares, the sizzling food passing my table for a group of looks and smells amazing. House made chips and salsa were delivered mere minutes after I sat. My order was taken 30 seconds later. Midelo and two hardshell ground beef tacos! You never find ground beef hard shell tacos! Am I right? The food arrived 10 minutes later. Lady is hustling!! I like to mix my rice amd beans adding the delicious red salsa. The chips were thin amd crispy. Perfect with the salsa. First bite! Taco shell was crispy and easy to chew. There was an abundance of chopped lettuce with a fee chopped tomatoes. The cheese was finely shredded and was very good amd provides the texture I like. As for the ground beef I was expecting more... brighter amd flavorful. It felt like am after thought. Next time I will try something else and determine if this is standard or an exception I really wanted to like this place. Time will tell.
Everyone has something good to say about La Hacienda. It's a family-friendly, family-run Mexican restaurant that serves plentiful portions, has plenty of seating & a full bar. Their smothered burritos are really as good as you've heard. The complimentary chips and salsa always hit the spot. And the fajitas never disappoint. It's classic American-Mexican so it's definitely not authentic but I think that's how most people like it. But it's the friendly staff and the fun dining atmosphere that makes me a regular. The wait staff is always smiling and having a good time. And the service is really fast, even on a busy night.
It's always incredibly busy when we show up that sometimes we've had to leave because the line is really long. However, when we do get to eat there, it is wonderful and glad it is nearby. The food is always fulfilling and the service is pretty good too.
My fave Mexican place by far ! This place does get packed fairly well so be prepared too wait 20 min or less. During their PEAK times like lunch or dinner , always call in and see. The prices here a super reasonable , anywhere from 15-30 for a person to eat , and you AlWAYS leave full. When you first get there , they give you complimentary chips and salsa, but man their homemade salsa is sooooo good. And they're more than happy to refill while you wait for your food. It's nice to see the chefs/cooks back there cooking all the food so you know you'll get your food in 20 min or less. When it comes to ordering food here, you honestly can't go wrong with anything on the menu. It's all fire but I will tell you they are known for their chili verde. Mmm mmm good ! And their chili verde isn't too hot, it has just enough kick, for the people who don't like spicy food. It has bomb flavor and you can get the chili verde in multiple ways, whether it's a burrito, enchilada , fries, or just straight up on its own with rice and beans. It's seriously top tier there. My other faves their are their ceviche, shrimp tostada , Chile relleno , steak fajitas, chili verde fries , but seriously you can't go wrong with anything you order. Last but not least, their servers are always so sweet ! They're always checking in on you, making sure you have refills on your drinks or the complimentary chips and salsa. Shout out to Bernie there, she's truly a sweetheart. but all in all, foods bomb, service is outstanding and great prices, La Hacienda will be your new fave Mexican restaurant!
My first experience at La Hacienda was just ok. Food was fine. Service was fine (they messed up one meal at our table but we're happy to fix it). The value was fine. Nothing noteworthy. It didn't give me the "wow" I had hoped for.

La Hacienda Draper -- 12434 Minuteman Dr, Draper, UT 84020 Date: September 21, 2026 This was my first visit to La Hacienda, recommended by some colleagues I was meeting with during one of my regular trips out to the Salt Lake City area. I ordered the 2 Smothered Burritos with Cheese ($13.99). Unfortunately, this one just wasn't for me. The burritos were filled mostly with beans and had very few pieces of chile verde pork. I was expecting much more of that chile verde flavor and meat, so I didn't care for the dish at all. That said, we also ordered the Super Nachos with grilled steak ($12.99) for the table, and those were excellent! I'd honestly return for the nachos alone. I also had a Michelada ($8.99 each), which was VERY good and another highlight of the meal. Our table tried several other items, including 4 Asada Tacos ($10.49), 2 Chile Verde Enchiladas ($13.49), Bean & Cheese Burrito ($11.49), 2 Chicken Enchiladas ($13.49) and another order of 2 Smothered Burritos with Cheese ($13.99). Soft drinks and iced tea were $3.30 each. Despite being disappointed with my entrée, I'm giving La Hacienda 4 stars because the restaurant was very busy, the service was great, the place is nicely designed, and the nachos and Michelada showed me there are definitely some winners on the menu. I'll absolutely return and try some different options next time -- but those Super Nachos will definitely be on the table again! read more

We love stopping here for Mexican food! We've been here a few times and the food never disappoints. The chimichangas are a favorite. They are crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. I love getting the combo plate to mix and match. Service is always very friendly and fast. Food comes out fresh & hot! read more
The service was great. They seated me pretty quickly, even though the place was packed on a Tuesday. Staff was friendly. Though it was busy, it was pretty clean. Chips were good. Unfortunately, I did not like the veggie burrito. It was mostly rice and some beans. Of course, that's what comes with the burrito. I believe there was guacamole inside the burrito as well, but do beans and guacamole make a veggie burrito? I've had way better veggie burritos. If it wasn't for the service, this place would get a 2. read more

I've heard so much about La Hacienda & after our recent Mexican restraint flop, we were excited for a new place! This place did not disappoint! I think they have a few locations. We ended up at the Draper location for dinner. Service was soo quick! We ordered a magarita & pina colada. Both were really good. Chips & salsa were good, I wish they brought out more chips. We went through these pretty quickly. For dinner, we ordered Asada Tacos. We really liked them. The green sauce that comes with these was really good. We also ordered a smothered burrito, which we thought had pork inside it, but instead it just had chile verde sauce on the top of it. So it was just a bean & cheese burrito. Not exactly what we were thinking, but it was our fault for not reading the menu more clearly. The chile verde sauce had really good flavor. I ordered the cheese enchiladas with red sauce, I'm not big on red sauce & wish I would have picked out the pork on the chile verde sauce instead. I'll definitely order it with chile verde sauce next time. Our meals were delivered within 5 minutes of us ordering it. The service was soo quick! Prices were very reasonable. Definitely recommend. read more

Came here with my brother and his wife and we had to be quick cause they were closing early for Super Bowl Sunday. I forgot who was actually playing.... Service was spotty as we had to flag down another server since ours played a disappearing act. Food was average Americanized Mexican fare. Not sure I would be back. read more

Another one bites the dust. Been coming here for years. I ordered a chili Verde "platter" it was brought a small plate of sauce with six very small pieces of pork in it. Obviously disappointed I pointed out to the waitress that I was actually an adult and hungry and needed food, lol. She responded that this is what chili Barry is basically soup with a very few pieces of pork in it. I am 52 years old. This is not the first time I've eaten chili Verde. It's one thing to drop the ball on service, it's another to try and suggest that your deficiency is actually the standard. We will not be returning here to be overcharged for plates of gravy. read more

Popular place and great for small and large groups. Reserve if you can for larger groups esp for lunch or dinner. I like the street tacos but the main entrees are huge so be ready. read more

Lots of people here on a Sunday. Staff got me on the list quick and were friendly. They call out your name as well as use text messaging. That was nice. My server got me chips quickly and they did not disappoint. Chips were great flavor and light. There salsa was a little thin, but was super delicious. Salsa was not hot at all. I loved it. The menu is one of the best I have seen. Had a southwest color scheme, was very easy to read, had great selection, and excellent color photos. I wish more restaurants did this. You can have the best description but when it arrives it can sometime not look good. When the place includes a good color picture, you know what to expect. I am burned out on restaurants with QR codes. My burrito was so good. I literally had a clean plate. The rice and beans had great flavor and the sour Crème was a generous portion. I wouldn't normally try and finish a meal this big in one setting, but it was very good and it was Sunday and starting to snow. La Hacienda is a great restaurant the has excellent food. I don't think you can find better Mexican food at this affordable prices. Everything thing is reasonably priced for a sit down restaurant. It did not disappoint. Thanks for the great meal! read more

I got a smothered burrito for lunch and licked my plate clean pretty quick! It was great portion sizes for only $10. The service was great and gave some good recommendations for both me and my client who wanted two different things. read more
Had been wanting to try this place for awhile now. So Saturday after attending a reptile convention we decided to stop in for some lunch. There was a minimal wait of 25 minutes but after that we were seated and greeted with chips and salsa. The chips were salty and crispy as they should be the salsa was okay not the best I have had but not the worst either. I tend to like my salsa spicy with bursts of cilantro. This fell a bit flat for me. We placed our orders. Both ordered combo plates and half dozen oysters. The wait to get our food seemed a bit long and we burned through a bowl of chips and the salsa and eventually flagged down the waitress for more chips. The oysters never arrived. The combos themselves were filling and flavorful. Decent chili verde over my tamale. My chimi was full of white meat chicken and the outer shell was crispy like I like a chimi to be. I had asked for red sauce and as you can see it didn't arrive with red but I am not picky enough to send it back. It tasted good and that's what matters. I am just a sucker for a good red sauce. I also did not want sour cream and asked for a side of guac. The waitress let me know it came with a side of both and I asked for no sour cream and it arrived with it. Again...no worries I just flicked it to the side and ate on. I would def come back here now with the expectation of really needing to be on my server to deliver what we want. We were not charged for the Oysters which leads me to believe she simply just didn't put our order in for them and lacked a bit of attention to detail in regards to my request for no sour cream. We enjoyed the food, atmosphere, I loved the company of my lunch date and I still tipped the server well. Pricing: Combination platters ran around 10.99 and an additional 1.50 to have it smothered. read more
