This is the easiest 5 star review I've ever given. I inherited a home that needed a lot of work, work I thought I could do myself (lol!). Thankfully I reached out to Zack and he came out and did a walk of the home with me and gave me his honest and expert opinion, and also gently let me know that this was not something I'd be able to do (well) by myself. I didn't meet with another contractor after my first meeting with Zack because I felt that confident and comfortable with him. This project took awhile to get started due to a variety of different reasons but Zack stayed in contact and worked quickly and efficiently when things were ready to go. This was a huge project that included removing old furniture and appliances, knocking down walls, tearing out floors, refurbishing 100 year old windows, installing an HVAC system, and getting the home into a livable condition. I was so thankful to have Zack leading the project because I would have had no idea where to start. Zack and his team (Javier & Danny) were an absolute delight to work with, as well as the subcontractors I met who did my kitchen and bathroom cabinets and the hardwood floor refurbishment. While Zack didn't sign up to also be my design consultant, he quickly became one. I was constantly asking for his thoughts and opinions during the project. He shared his opinions when it came to a designs choice longevity and practicality, but never inserted his opinion otherwise, and always honored my vision and choices- although I'm sure he probably thought my 5 visits to slab yards was a bit excessive and was relieved when I finally picked one. Danny and Zack were also both helpful when it came to picking the grout color for my kitchen and bathroom, such a small but important detail with soo many options. I'm still getting settled in, but sometimes I have to pinch myself when I step into my kitchen or bathroom because I'm so happy with the results. Zack really helped make my inspiration photos a reality. I can't wait until I'm ready, or rather have the money, to convert the garage and basement and work with Zack and his team again in the future. read more

GSS Remodel is top notch! They're honest, fair, and quick to respond. I got a quote, which happened to be less than other quotes (although that isn't why I chose GSS), and as soon as I approved it I was on the books. Other places didn't even call or even text me back. There was great communication while the job was being done to let me know how things were going and to ask questions if something came up (they didn't just do something that would cost more without asking first). GSS performed a small remodel installing pre-purchased butcher block counter tops, sink + faucet and tile backsplash in my kitchen. These guys are great - they not only did a wonderful job on the installation but they are VERY easy to work with. From their initial response to my request for a quote through completion of the project, they responded to any question I had in a timely and concise manner and they were able to work with me when we realized the tile wouldn't arrive in time for the scheduled installation date. We hired the GSS Team to help remodel our kitchen. The project included removing a whole wall to create an open space, relocation of electrical cables, removal of cabinets, construction of new cabinets, water line installment, reflooring and painting. From start to finish our experience was absolutely exceptional. Zach came over to discuss the project soon after we contacted them. He was respectful, actively listened to our concerns and had an itemized estimate for us in just a couple of days that respected our budget. I can't stress enough how reassuring was to have such a great guy on the project willing to work around our specific needs. I cannot day enough positive things about GSS! Zack and his father are amazing! I asked Zack for a consult on a remodel removing a load bearing wall. What impressed me most is that he was hesitant to give me a quote. This is a good thing. If you're looking to get a major change done in your house be careful of the people that quote you too cheap, and those that quote you too expensive. The best people will grab a notebook, take notes, measurements, and then give you a quote after a few days. Zack was incredibly professional and conservative with his estimate. The Robin to Zack's Batman is his father. A master builder of 30+ years. They gave me a more than fair quote and were able to handle any challenge they encountered. Zack did a great job in our home removing and disposing of an unwanted door and removing in wall speakers. The frame was closed, holes patched, walls textured and baseboards added to match the rest of the room. As newbies to the renovation process, I feel lucky to have found GSS Remodel and Zack. They converted our detached garage into an office. Zack was professional, responsive, transparent, on time, and friendly from bid to completion. The job was completed within the timeframe estimated and there were no hidden fees or big surprises.
