We hired Joe for our kitchen remodel a little over three months ago, and I intentionally waited before leaving a review so I could honestly speak to the long-term quality of the work. After using our new kitchen every day for more than three months, I can confidently say we are extremely happy with the results. Joe was professional, reliable, and easy to work with throughout the entire project. He communicated clearly, stayed organized, and paid close attention to every detail. The remodel process was smooth from start to finish, and the final outcome exceeded our expectations. What really impressed us is how well everything has held up over time. After months of daily use, the cabinets, countertops, finishes, and overall craftsmanship still look fantastic. Nothing feels rushed or cheaply done -- the quality and durability truly stand out. You can tell Joe takes pride in doing the job right the first time. Our kitchen is now more functional, beautiful, and comfortable than we imagined. It's rare to find a contractor who delivers both excellent service and lasting quality, but Joe absolutely did. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and highly skilled kitchen remodel contractor. read more

We had a great experience working with Joe on a full 3 month remodel of our home which included 2 bathrooms, kitchen, painting, lighting, fireplace, and flooring. The short version is he is extremely reliable with excellent communication and workmanship. Lock in for the long version. We have lived in our home for 12 years and were looking for a reliable contractor to remodel our entire home. We plan to be in this home for a long time and really needed someone who would show the care and attention to our home. We interviewed several contractors and Joe with CB Homes matched our communication style and genuine care for the work performed. We planned to move out of our home due to the large scope of the project and needed someone we could trust and rely on without us being inside the house. Joe proved to be reliable and trustworthy. He showed up when he said he would and if he needed to adjust scheduling he communicated clearly and worked with us. He was excellent at managing the many different elements and phases of the project to keep us involved in the key decision making while keeping the project on schedule. Many people told us no way the project would be complete by our 3 month target but we were able to move back home exactly when we planned to. The quality of the work was exceptional and Joe provided us suggestions and recommendations while respecting our unique sense of style. I.E. We wanted two mounted TVs in the living room, unique ivy backsplash in the bathroom and removed 5 windows since we like low lighting in the house. We've been back in the house for 2 weeks now and love how it turned out. We are already thinking about future projects (backyard) and hope to work with Joe again. read more

After 25 years of constant use our circa 1961 home needed a kitchen upgrade. We had worked with Joe on a few small projects in the past and had great success so asking for his expertise for this project was a no-brainer for us. The remodel was a complete floor to ceiling renovation. By far the largest and most overwhelming project we had ever attempted. Working with Joe was instrumental in working through the sequential process from the initial design to the touch up painting. When looking for a contractor to Shepard you through this process you want someone who is: Trustworthy A good communicator A problem solver Skilled in multiple aspects of construction Capable of listening to your needs and desires Considerate of your schedule A good manager of subcontracted work And finally, you want someone who takes ultimate responsibility for all aspects of the job. With Joe you get all of those things. Throughout the job we were presented with options without pressure, The result in our opinion was the creation of a showpiece kitchen that met our vision of blending new kitchen technology with a vintage overlay...which is not an easy task. Great work Joe! read more

I chose Joe with CB Home Improvements for my kitchen remodel after several other bids and could not be happier. He came up with a good plan at a fair price. Joe does excellent work. He is meticulous, knowledgeable, has integrity, pays attention to every detail and problem solves to get perfection. If an issue came up he always made sure to include me in every decision to move forward. He even faced time me when I was out of town to show me the days work or include me with a decision. All the members of his team were professional, friendly, easy to work with and masters of their craft from start to finish. The kitchen came out beautiful. Joe even surprised me with a special touch inside of one of the cabinets, a tribute to my husband who passed away before enjoying the remodel. It makes it even more special. CB Homes did a whole house remodel for us in the past. This was our first experience at doing any type of renovation, let alone doing a whole house renovation. After the renovation was completed, the house looks great and made us feel like we moved into a new house! Years later after our home was completed, there were a few minor things that needed to be fixed because of some defect and when we called Joe, he was quick to respond and cover over to take a look and helped us resolve and fix the problem. Joe never ignored our calls and was quick to respond even though it had been years since he did the renovation for our home. He took the same care as if it were the first time around. Joe also saved us from having to spend a lot of money on unnecessary work from a crooked plumber that recommended for us to do major work for one of our bathrooms. When Joe came over to provide a second opinion, Joe was able to solve the problem without costing us an arm and a leg. For someone as busy as Joe, he is always willing to take the time to help. It's hard to find someone as reliable as Joe Axiotis! read more

Joe and his crew over at CB Home Improvements are the absolute best! We've been wanting to do something with a barren front yard area for a long time and Joe was quick to come over and go over what we had in mind, offer suggestions, and help our vision come to fruition! He came through with an absolutely beautiful flagstone patio, a stunning rock wall to tie it all in, and electrical work for 3 really cool lights to give it a nice glow at night! We were blown away by his timeline of only 9 days start to finish, the attention to detail, cost, and communication. Joe was over pretty much every day his crew was here to walk through things with them, us, and to ensure the work was the best possible. We can't thank Joe and everyone over at CB Home Improvements enough, we're super excited for our new patio space, it looks like it was meant to be there all along!!! Please do yourself a favor and call Joe for any of your home improvements, the best GC I've ever worked with and his work speaks for itself in terms of quality! read more

Joe did a great job converting my garage from a dingy space into a fantastic year-round heated/air conditioned hang out spot. He takes pride in the quality of his craftsmanship. I work from home, so we communicated every day and made decisions as needed to ensure the end result was exactly what I wanted. He was very open to my many questions, never getting impatient. The job included high quality epoxy floors that needed to be grinded down before finishing, mutlipe loft areas for storage, insulation, all the finishes (paint etc) and even mounting and hooking up the TV . The space looks fantastic! read more

We met with Joe to have him walk through a home we just purchased that requires a total renovation. It's a 1986 1-owner that has never been touched and so every inch needs attention. From the very beginning of the meeting, Joe was friendly, straightforward, super enthusiastic, curious and engaged with the entire process. He appears infinitely knowledgeable about construction and was looking at and touching nearly every surface that we showed him. You can tell that he truly loves what he does and that he is excited at the prospect of working on the home. Joe was the first contractor we met with, out of 5 so far, that actually gave us some idea of costs on each room and project as he was seeing them; which for people who've never taken on a renovation helps cut down some on the waiting and anxiety of wondering where in the world the numbers will come in at. He spent a ton of time with us with no complaint and the whole assessment was at no charge. We are so hoping to work with Joe within our budget and are just waiting on a final estimate from him to decide if we can! read more

This company rocks!! We have been waiting forever to get some sort of ceiling design feature in our foyer. We finally decided on dark brown beams. After contacting 6 general contractors in the county, all of which were quoting $5000 - 7500 in labor alone and quoting 3 month turn around times until they could even work on the job (due to labor shortage)...thank God we finally found Joseph Axiotis! Not only was he able to put us on the schedule within weeks, he also gave us pointers that made the ceiling install even better. For example, you can buy beams all you want...but how do you space them?!! The directions and ideas can only be found online or from the manufacturer but since every home is different shaped..even those directions do you no good. Joseph solved that for us. He installed over a weekend, gave us a guarantee and also was HALF the price of the other contractors. My kids were also super excited when the scissor lift came...can't lie so was I, and Joseph was like "wanna come up here Mr Singh and check out what we are about to do"...to which I was like "absolutely"! So I got a scissor lift ride out of it too lol Do yourself a favor...Hire CB Homes, best in Rocklin hands down! read more

We had Joe build out an extension on our living room wall to house a tv, fireplace, and mantle. He also installed new cabinet hardware throughout our house and performed drywall work on a wall. Joe and team installed a new kitchen backsplash recently. My wife and I were extremely happy with the results and the overall process. We decided to update our front bathroom this summer, and learned early on that this summer probably wasn't the best choice, with the pandemic causing supply and shipping delays. We ran in to multiple issues with supply shortages, orders for materials being scare, and orders cancelled due to lack of products. Joe assured us that all issues were solvable, and assisted us in finding alternate products, and working around deliveries. Most notably when our son broke the counter to the new vanity right before it was to be installed. Joe suggested California Tile and Granite and went with us to make sure we got a replacement right away. We throughly enjoyed having him in our home. He was wonderful with our 3 year-old son, so much so that he waited every morning for Joe to come. Joe worked hard to make sure we were happy every step of the way, and we are thrilled with the results. read more

Faced with suddenly having to work from home permanently, I desperately needed to create a long term home office/guest bedroom. The only way to accomplish this was to convert my loft into a room by building a wall. I called 5 general contractors. Joe was the only one that showed up when he said he would. The process of bidding was smooth and easy. I could see right away Joe prides himself on the quality of his service. He was able to schedule the project to begin within a week of getting the green light. Once work began, he checked in on the process multiple times daily, making sure his crew was providing the best in care and product. He also checked in at the end of each day to inspect the results and work area to ensure quality and cleanliness. Communication was continuous and easy. We had one minor mishap that Joe has offered to remedy but overall, the experience was better than I could've imagined. read more
