I have done a lot of work over the years and am happy to say that if you live in this area, he is your guy. He was fair and honest from the get go. The price he gives you is the price you will pay. I never received any surprise "change orders". As contractors go, Omar was VERY open and communicative. No problems ever getting him or his crew on the phone. He had great suggestions on all things we discussed. Always seemed to know a lot about his work and various things people like. The project was a big one, and I am super happy with how fast it went. He even got started for us over Thanksgiving and Xmas, and his crew would show up on Saturday or Sunday sometimes to keep on working (which was fine with us!). There were no subcontractors involved... everything was through Noor Construction. If we had any minor issues that needed correcting, Omar would come and look at it and tell his crew what to do. We really appreciate the details, crown molding and trim was superbly done, and the tile was just amazing, we are very impressed with his team. I mean seriously anyone who has attempted to do crown molding in the past knows what I am talking about. For details if you've made it this far, our story: Where shall I start. I suppose we start with the idea: build a bedroom in the second floor space of our "great room" which has really tall ceilings... like 30 feet plus. So basically add a bedroom in the second story "empty space" above the first floor. Easy right? Well, after getting ghosted by several contractors, I finally called Omar. He informed he thought we were probably getting ghosted because the architect had told him that footings were needed to support this new bedroom which would be sort of like an island in the middle of the house. We live on a hill, so these support columns would have to go through the first floor, basement, and then under the house. This added to the cost, but we really wanted a bedroom in that space. Omar gave me a price. I told him no thanks, my wife and I thought well maybe we changed our mind as the cost came in higher with the footing work. After a few weeks, we talked it over, changed our minds. We really needed the bedroom. I called him, thinking "gosh he probably won't want our work". Omar came back, no change in price, same deal as before, he didn't even bat an eye, he was ready to go, and this was like 4 weeks later after I told him no. So yea, it was project that I was told was too much for people, everyone didn't want to go get permits or deal with the footings... Omar told us what to expect and stuck to the plan. He dealt with the County and the inspector always came and said even himself "these guys know what they are doing". We passed all inspections. Omar even was super flexible about adding things to the project as we went along, as you know I get ideas about what I might want, we added some carpeting and shelving, and additional tile work that he added at no additional cost to him. He really just knows what he is doing and is super on top of things. So go with Noor Construction if you have the chance, you won't regret it!

I also received a recommendation from a friend for a local contractor, so we ultimately obtained estimates from both Condor and a smaller local company. When Tal Pinto arrived for our initial consultation, we walked through the house and discussed our ideas. I had a very specific vision for the kitchen, including painting all of the existing cabinetry. Rather than simply agreeing to the project, Tal took the time to evaluate the cabinets and explained that they were already extremely high quality. He told me that if they were his cabinets, he would leave them exactly as they were. That level of honesty immediately stood out to me. Instead of trying to sell us on unnecessary work, he provided thoughtful, professional advice that was genuinely in our best interest. From that moment on, I had a great feeling about Condor. When we received our estimate, it was one of the most detailed and organized proposals I had ever seen. Every aspect of the project was clearly outlined, including labor, scope of work, and material allowances. There were no surprises and no confusion--just a transparent and professional plan. Once we signed the contract, the process moved forward seamlessly. Tal provided recommendations for flooring and paint suppliers, but when we ultimately found a flooring company we preferred, he had no problem working with them. We felt very fortunate to have found Banner Construction! We had a difficult bathroom project and it was the first project that we ever hired someone to do. This is a family business and they were very thoughtful in wanting us to have the project come out just like we wanted it and it did! I recently moved and purchased a condo in the Sacramento area and was referred to HomeX by the real…read moreestate agent who assisted me in buying the property. The condo was built in the nineteen eighties and showed its true age. The kitchen and master bathroom countertops, sink, bathroom flooring, tub and fixtures were outdated and needed some sprucing up. I met with the owner of Homex (Ben) and discussed the remodeling ideas I had . After agreeing on the work to be done and signing the contract, work began 5 days later. The bathroom was totally gutted with the tub being removed, new walk-in shower, vanity, hardware, sink, countertop, commode, lighting, and flooring put in. In addition, the kitchen countertop and sink replaced as well as backsplash added. To say I'm pleased with the work the Homex staff completed and the final remodeling outcome is an understatement. I couldn't be more pleased. In the future I plan on having the kitchen cabinets resurfaced and will definitely hire Homex to do the cabinet resurfacing.

Giving them a chance to fix it. They have since fixed the paint but I would say painting is somewhere they could improve on. Ok updating 9/5/25 we are finished with our about 8 mnth remodel from design to finish and moved in It was a big job. We are very happy we chose Solid they have been very good from start to finish. In construction there's always a hiccup or two the important thing is that you have a contract who stands behind there work and Solid does just that!Everything looks amazing and we're loving it. We would definitely recommend Solid to anyone. In fact we have already and our daughter and son in law have already used them to remodel their kitchen and it turned out beautiful!! So if you're looking for a full service contractor give Solid a call. Like my husband says if you don't get it right in the beginning it won't be right in the end. I looked over a few contractors on Yelp and had them come out to give us bids for the work and after evaluating the bids, we decided to go with Solid Construction and Design. They were really competitive on their pricing and being a family owned company, assured me they will take care of my house like their own. Let me start of by saying, their customer service is top tier. Scheduling an estimator to come out was simple and all it took was a phone call to their office and they showed up the same day. The estimator was empathetic to our situation and assured us the work will be complete swiftly and with minimal interference to our daily life. We had ALOT of questions and they made sure that all of our questions were answered and provided guidance and feedback on all of our requests. We agreed on a schedule and had a crew come out in a few days. They were punctual and professional. While they were working at the house, we went to the company showroom to choose flooring and other materials needed for the rebuild. The showroom is spacious, has a lot of different options for flooring, tile and cabinets. What they don't have in the showroom, they were able to show online in a catalog. Great selection for every design taste. They also have designers in house who will guide you and show you so many different options for your project. The work was complete on time and on budget. The attention to detail and guidance through this project made us feel at ease knowing they care and this is not just another project but rather they were putting pieces to the puzzle to make the house whole again. Overall, we are extremely satisfied with the quality of work, the thoroughness and attention to detail. The project manager was always only a phone call away and checked up on the status with the crew as well as us through the whole project. If you have a construction project on your mind, do not hesitate the give Solid Construction & Design a call, you will not be disappointed.
