We've remodeled a kitchen before with a company that wasn't fantastic, so having Vostok construction be so great was amazing. We chose Vostok Construction to remodel our primary bathroom/bedroom that had lots of water damage. We knew that it would be a big job (needed new subfloor and floor joists and studs in one wall) and they took care of us. They were very careful to make sure their mess didn't get anywhere outside of the job site, took their time to make the finishes look just right, and were courteous and kind to myself and my kids. And Igor's tiling is absolutely stunning. I have high standards for finishes and I cannot find a flaw in our tile--he's that good. Eric and Alex were super helpful with seeing our vision and explaining what would be cost effective but also functional. I never felt like either of them pushed me to do something I didn't want (and as a people pleaser, that's hard!). The job had a couple of rough spots (bad plumbing from the previous contractor, and a paint color mixup etc.) but each time there was an issue, the communication was clear and they let us know what needed to be done. They were patient when we realized our faucets and other metal finishes weren't matching and did their best to help us find what we needed. They finished the job in the timeframe they quoted us even with some hiccups along the way. I would 100% recommend Vostok Construction (and I have to some friends!). I got a few quotes from places and I went with Vostok as the quote was in line with the others and I felt comfortable going with them due to their professionalism and response time. I love the new bathroom! I needed the shower/tub combo removed to have a shower only due to my elderly parents that visit and stay over on occasion. I also had an electric bidet installed, which is one of the best inventions ever made. The new exhaust fan is great and is a lot quieter than the previous fan. Vostok has done work for us a few times. First a bathroom remodel, then plumbing. I have to say, it has been a pretty great experience. When there are issues they have always been sure to resolve them, even if the issue keeps coming back for an unknown reason. This alone makes them get my recommendation. The thing is, they also do really nice looking remodels. The work is detailed and they lean towards correct fixed, not necessarily the easiest fix. I respect that a lot. They also had some good input that caused me to adjust my vision and I'm glad I listened to them. Vostok's quality of work is top tier! If your priority is high quality work, these are the guys to go with. They take great pride in doing things right and making it as visually & aesthetically pleasing as possible. They were also always willing to address anything I noticed that was missed or not up to my standards. There wasn't much of that, but some. You will notice more than anyone else as it's your house. You are most familiar with it and the one who is going to live in it after the work is done. For me, Vostok was responsive to texts and phone calls throughout the project. My brother had his house remodeled a few years back and he said he had to repeatedly call his contractor before getting ahold of him. I didn't have that problem with Vostok. In addition to that, they were always willing to explain everything every step of the way so you know what's going on. You do have to let them know that you want information and ask questions. Once you do they will explain anything and answer your questions. I wasn't living in my house when the work was being done which I'm sure makes the experience a lot less stressful. So I have been flipping houses for about 18 months and have been looking for the right partner to help me be successful, I think I have found them. When looking for a contractor I am looking for the following: Price Quality Timeliness Cleanliness Fairness Ease to work with Vostok checked all of the boxes. I put out the request and within 24 hours they were onsite and within another 24 hours I had a bid in hand. They were able to start the next Monday, four days later. As you can see from the pictures they do excellent work, high quality. We hired the Vostok Construction crew to help us with two recent projects. 1) splitting a large "play" room into two smaller rooms - a playroom and a bedroom and 2) making 2 rooms into one (washing room/storage and bathroom into a single combo of the two. Alex and Eric were great to work with on our remodel (knocked out two walls, new kitchen, laundry room and revamped the dining, family and living rooms and raised some ceilings). They weren't the cheapest or the most expensive but the quality of work they completed was undeniably terrific! Alex has a wealth of construction knowledge and always provided cost effective alternatives for issues that in the end always turned out better than what I was expecting. Alex and his crew paid attention to details throughout the construction process and always strived to make me happy with their work products. They stayed on budget (minus change orders based on my upgrades) and would have stayed on schedule if not for some overlooked structural issues that my engineer had to work through with the city to approve the permit amendment. Eric was easy to work with through the contract process answering my questions promptly. The only minor complaint I have is some of their workers start work at 9am so they sometimes stay until 7pm+. Since I'm retired it wasn't an issue and allowed the workers to completely finish a certain phase of the work by the end of the day.
