I did an entire lap of the store and had to stop by a desk and ask for someone to help me. Wendy came over and was knowledgable and friendly and e-mailed me a quote a few days later. Fast forward eight weeks later I e-mail her back on a Tuesday ready to order~ I include the specific SKU and let her know I'll be waiting on ordering a hood and to let me know how to proceed. She is out of office and it auto forwards my e-mail to Jordan. Wednesday comes and goes and I don't hear back so I call the shop on Thursday morning and let them know I'm ready to order and speak to Jordan who mentions that I'm probably right and there was a price increase since then and that he'll look it over and send me a quote again. I don't receive an e-mail until Friday afternoon from someone else, Marcie who resends me the exact same quote from before with two hoods and a range when I had said twice I was ready to order the range and let me know how to get that processed. I was asked for my phone number and address again and waited for a reply to get my order placed- but I guess they went home for the weekend. I sent that over and didn't hear back again until Monday. I went ahead and placed my order Sunday with another retailer which ended up being $500 cheaper than the quote they sent over anyway. I was disappointed to see that PBK included a $200 shipping charge when I live a handful of miles away and could have accommodated a pick up if that was an option.

Gary is extremely knowledgeable, experienced, and energetic - and it seems there is nothing he cannot do or fix. He is very attentive to details. The work site is always well-organized and cleaned up each day as much as possible to make for the least impact on the house inside. He does most of every part of a project himself, so we knew there usually was no one else at the home in our absence. He has an amazing tile guy he works with always, named Alex, who truly is an artist and does a perfect job each time. He also occasionally uses an electrician and someone for sheet-rocking, but only when he is around also. Gary is always the first and last person on the site, so his trustworthiness was important for us as we often work early and late and couldn't regularly be home when he was starting or finishing the day's work. He was very prompt each morning but let us know in advance if there would be a delay for some reason. He even came by on a couple of weekends to tie up a loose end or get set for the coming week's work. He gave us almost daily updates by text or email, if not in person, as to the day's progress and what was on the agenda for the following day or who would be there to help him with something in particular. We have now done 3 projects with Gary - 2 of them with the design help of his wife, Jean, who is also excellent to work with and whom we would recommend without reservation - and we are extremely pleased with how fabulous everything has turned out. We would strongly recommend Gary Woods to anyone who truly wants top quality workmanship from a true professional and expert.

Having been homeowners for some 50 years, we have been 'around the bush' with many construction and remodeling projects. But without exaggeration, Furnitalia's performance in every phase was extraordinary! Their excellence stems from deep competency in all phases of design, demolition, construction, and finish work. Moreover, I have never encountered a more meticulous and courteous group of workers. They designed a beautiful kitchen for us. During demolition they encountered some incredible problems left behind by previous remodeling contractors and were relentless and highly skilled in fabricating and executing solutions to those problems. They stayed on schedule and would have beaten the original deadlines had the countertop stone not been delayed. They moved our furniture out, and in. They identified problems and imperfections that even we did not notice, and we are now so happy with the end product and most appreciative of their meticulousness and professionalism. The end result -- everything in our kitchen works better than we imagined, including the storage spaces and the Miele appliances, which are significantly better than any others we have encountered. I should also mention that Furnitalia handled all the subcontracting seamlessly, including flooring, electrical, plumbing, cabinet and appliance installation, and painting. We offer the highest possible recommendation for Furnitalia -- they are genuinely unique and exemplary!
