He has encyclopedic knowledge of every product, knows when it matters to choose the pricier item (and, just as importantly, when it doesn't), is unfailingly polite and patient, and a genuine pleasure to work with. We are getting our bathroom remodeled next month but still needed to get vanity lights, mirror, and sink faucet. Spent half a hr looking around without anyone asking if we had any questions or anything (despite passing an employee who wasn't helping anyone, twice). Nonetheless we found a really nice mirror and lights but couldn't find anyone to help us. So my husband went to the reception desk and the lady said "let me get someone to help you" and then proceeded to not do anything. Didn't page anyone, nothing. There were two older people seemingly getting the royal treatment so I don't know if we were too young (I doubt it, as we are both almost 40) or if we look poor or something. Who knows or cares. I'm not going to tackle someone so that I can give them money, so we left. Side note: Their faucets are weirdly more expensive than everything else. The majority of the vanity lights were around $300-$400 and seemed to be good quality while the majority of sink fixtures were $1000+ and all felt like cheap plastic. read more

We came in today due to a partial delivery and Tonya took exceptional care of us. The three stars reflect the attitude of the woman at the front desk. I understand that not everyone likes their job, however, friendliness, helpfulness and smiling goes a long way. This was not our first time dealing with her, so this was not a one-off. Pretty big selection of lights! Came here after going to Lamp Plus and I must say Ferguson has the same number, if not more lights available in their showroom! In addition there is a lot of model bathtubs, kitchens, and outdoor grills for you to look at. The staff are all very friendly. Mostly they don't bother you. The inside of the showroom is kept very clean, of course. Price is obviously a little on the high side, but that is the market Ferguson caters to I guess. We knew exactly what we wanted. As we walked through the front door, the first person we saw, a man sitting at the front desk, immediately looked at his watch and shook his head. (It was 4:30. They list they close at 5). We stated we knew what we wanted but he practically tossed a unit at us as he walked away, mumbling gruffly that a salesperson would be ready when the unit notified us. The salesperson, Alex, was much nicer and attentive. He helped us efficiently and promised our unit would be delivered in 2 days. We left happy. Sadly, we called the follow up number and were told our unit would not be delivered until 9 days later! UGH! Not sure if Alex just wanted the sale or made an honest mistake. read more

We're doing a major kitchen and laundry remodel and went to look at the KOHLER Farmhouse sink for kitchen and laundry, faucet and etc. Jennifer Matawaran was the sales representative that helped us at the store when it was time to purchase all the items. We purchased all the items and did not realize that once they came in at the warehouse we had to pick them asap! We left on vacation after ordering everything. I got an email from Hope Pendergrass that said she will be taking over the sales from Jennifer. I received an email that everything came in at the warehouse and if we don't pick up everything in 2days they will be returned. I frantically called Hope and told her we're on vacation. She said no worries, enjoy our vacation. I didn't think anything of it because construction was still being done and the contractor didn't need the sinks, etc yet. Fast forward, two months later, we called Hope and said we're picking up our sinks, etc. She got back to us and said everything got returned!!!! YIKES, They all had to be reordered! Thankfully Hope got everything reordered and we got the minor items within a couple days and again the email said if we don't pick it up in 2 days they will be returned!. The sink was not available YET! I called and spoke to Hope to please ask them not to return them until the sink came in!!! Whew, 4 days later, Hope contacted us that the sink came in! Kudos to Hope Pendergrass! She's the BEST! Great personality at least over the phone! I'm going to miss talking to her! Even though she was in Virginia it felt like she was right here in Sacramento! HORRIBLE QUALITY and SERVICE. After many years of shopping at Ferguson in Sacramento we are having a terrible experience! Purchased a new refrigerator and dishwasher, both of which were not fully functioning from day 1! Multiple callbacks were promised and didn't happen, was told by the salesman they were doing me a favor by calling service on the ice-maker and water dispenser that never worked (vs me having to do so). Service came out, said it needed a new part (in our brand new refrigerator?!?) and haven't heard back since. Then talked to a manager 13 days ago who agreed to take back the dishwasher that doesn't dry and promised that a salesman would call me to work out a replacement, which never happened. Also that she would have someone call with an update on the refrigerator part....never happened! This week will be one MONTH since appliances were delivered. Come get them. Not the quality or service we have come to expect. read more

Ferguson's will not disappoint! I have wandered and shopped Fergusons numerous times, and their tasteful displays, and knowledgeable staff is what keeps bringing me back. Not to mention, they have such an amazing variety of just about everything to do with kitchens, bathrooms, or lighting throughout the home. I would highly encourage anyone interested in shopping Fergusons to make an appointment which can be done through the Yelp app, or by calling directly. They absolutely welcome walk in's, if you're just looking to browse. They absolutely won't approach you if you are browsing. Their staff is usually booked with appointments, but the people at the front desk are happy to answer basic questions. I love the idea of an appointment, because it's this level of customer service that we all desire. When you're meeting with one of their specialist, they are completely focused on your needs, and will spend the time helping you select items, checking on delivery times, and making you feel special in their own way. If you decide that you just want to stop in to wander through the store, their displays are tastefully put together, and it's easy to wander from one area to the other taking in the beautiful bathtubs, the gorgeous lighting, and a variety of different kitchen appliances. From beginning to end our process with Ferguson was top notch. We did a complete kitchen reno that morphed into an almost full house reno. Started visiting the Ferguson showroom almost 2 years ago to get ideas and their selection is tremendous, including transparency on pricing (ie because they post prices, unlike some other vendors, you can at least make sure you're picking things in the right neighborhood of your budget). Got synced up with Alex about halfway thru our search and he was GREAT - patient, knowledgeable, helpful. Went thru multiple iterations of packages and quotes, and he was thorough and responsive every time. I also loved being able to use the Ferguson website in between visits to get ideas, but then could come in and see products in real life before I finalized. Once we were ready to proceed, Alex watched my order and gave me updates on when things would arrive, set us up with a scheduler who also kept an eye on our target delivery dates and worked with our contractor for timing and installation plans. Their installers were professional and thorough too. I cannot say enough good things about Alex and the whole team that helped us along the way. The only snafu we had was pending install when I gave them wrong info, but Alex jumped in to help correct it and get us back on track. I bought ALL my appliances from them - had been directed to another provider for plumbing by my designer but was sorely disappointed in them so ended up getting our sink and some of our plumbing items, as well as ALL of our cabinet hardware from Ferguson as well. I recommend wholeheartedly! Some will say they found something cheaper elsewhere, but I don't think you can match their service and efficiency - worth every penny! read more
