Even though it looked like a mess in there. I bought a washer and dryer set for about $745, since I was trying to be frugal and it was cheap. The dryer was fine. The washer however shook like an earthquake and didn't spin correctly, leaving the clothes dripping wet! I immediately called Appliance warehouse and they sent a repairman out in a week, they stated it was the soonest someone can come out to check it out. Mind you, I just had a baby and is recovering from a c-section. Having two kids under 2, I need to do laundry and can't wait a week. I was so frustrated! Repairman finally came out and ran a few cycles and stated we have to run it only on "normal" cycle. Ok....I should be able to run it on whatever cycle suits my needs, that's why there are different options on the washer. Days after he came out, same thing the washer was loud and shook again (on normal setting). I called Appliance warehouse again and it's the same story, I had to wait for days for a repairman to come out. I asked if we can get a replacement, and the lady who is tan and has long nails stated "no" the repairman has to try and fix it at least "6" times...EXCUSE ME?? Finally, after one last attempt, repairman came out again, and they washer now does not shake anymore but I am only able to run it on "normal" cycle, not "heavy or light cycle". I found out that all of their washer and dryers are all torn apart and rebuilt with reburnished parts (junky parts). Long story short, go somewhere else! You're better spending an extra $100-200 for a brand new set at Costco. I AM NEVER COMING BACK HERE! Oh yeah, and they tell you to leave as "good review" to get a free month of warranty.

But it would not shut. As anyone who owns a Sub-Zero knows, an alarm sounds when the doors remain open, and there's no way to turn it off. So, every 30 minutes or so, the alarm kicks in. Needless to say, I wanted this fixed promptly and correctly. There are only two certified Sub-Zero repair services in my area. I called one, and the wait was about 10 days. When I called Best Appliance, they were able to send a technician in four days. It was difficult living with the sound of the alarm, but early Monday morning, Dennis arrived on time and immediately assessed a problem he'd seen before. One side of the railings were stuck because of ice. He went in, took the railings on both sides apart and cleared the buildup. There was no ding, ding, ding, ding while he worked or when he finished. He also recommended I buy new railings. They had been updated and improved, he said, and they were much less likely to have this problem. I'd had my Sub-Zero for 10 years, so I took the advice. He installed them two days later. They glide much more smoothly than the ones I previously had. I paid about $650 for parts and labor, and I'm delighted with the value I received. He answered all my questions and gave me a couple of tips that will come in handy. I highly recommend Best Appliance.

My LG washing machine started giving me an error code about an uneven load. I tried everything recommended in the manual and online but had no luck. I asked for repair quotes on Yelp to see if it was even worth trying to fix it or if I was going to need to just by a new machine. I kept getting quotes for $150 or more just to come out to look at my washing machine. However, Vasile stood out because his quote was so much lower and reasonable. He provided his phone number in is Yelp message, so I gave him a call, and he said he could come out that same afternoon to look at it. He showed up exactly on time and as promised. Initially, we both thought the issue might have something to do with the suspension rods. He looked over the washing machine and determined he didn't have the right parts (two parts needed replacing), so he'd need to get them and could come back the next day to finish the repair. He texted me the next morning, and then showed up again, exactly as promised. As he started the repairs, he checked some other items and noticed I had a slow leak, which had caused damage to two additional parts inside the machine. One of those parts isn't made anymore (gotta love that planned obsolescence - my machine is not that old!) Vasile had to track down the part and have it shipped from New York. He kept in touch with me the whole time, letting me know when the part arrived and setting another appointment. For the third time (and mind you, none of this was in his control), Vasile showed up exactly when promised with all of the necessary parts and had my washing machine fixed in under 30 minutes. He came to my house three times, tracked down the right parts, made sure everything was working properly, and stuck with me through the whole thing to see the job through! All of this and it cost me $200 for the entire thing (the initial consultation fee, parts, and labor). Granted, I was lucky that the parts I needed were pretty inexpensive and the repairs were quick, but as Vasile said, he only charges what things actually cost (he doesn't jack up his prices like so many other, bigger companies).
