I don't receive an e-mail until Friday afternoon from someone else, Marcie who resends me the exact same quote from before with two hoods and a range when I had said twice I was ready to order the range and let me know how to get that processed. I was asked for my phone number and address again and waited for a reply to get my order placed- but I guess they went home for the weekend. I sent that over and didn't hear back again until Monday. My house was built in 1962 and most of my bathroom components were original. I wanted to have both…read morebathrooms remodeled because they were both very ugly and depressing. I had several contractors stop by to give me estimates - a lot of contractors were very sloppy in their estimates, telling me they would give me a bathroom in five days or asking me to buy all the supplies, etc (as if I would know what to get), or telling me they can do it for $5k without permits. Anywho, Ivan from Vitex stopped by and asked a lot of questions on what kind of vision I had, and when I did not know an answer, he made suggestions. For example, he suggested I add a shower light - that's something I did not think of at all - and also pointed out things that were required for code upgrades, etc. The entire process was very transparent. After I received the quote, I met Ivan at the warehouse in Rancho Cordova and he helped me pick out the tile for the wall and the floor. Again, I'm clueless and he made the right recommendations that made sense. The crew arrived on day one and these guys work hard and other than their lunch breaks, they don't stop until the end of the workday. The workers were very pleasant and diligent. Very friendly. I really enjoyed having them here and they did excellent work. Once they were done, I proceeded to hire Vitex for bathroom #2, which involved removing a jet tub to build a walk in shower. This time I worked with Arthur, who was also excellent and the same worker crew. They did an excellent job with that bathroom, as well. What also helped was being in touch with Victor, the owner, via group text to keep me up to date on the project, etc. Also, for anyone doing their due diligence, Vitex is fully licensed and the work they did passed the City of Sacramento's inspection, so these guys are legit. I'll definitely recommend them to anyone I know looking for bathroom remodeling and will use them for future tile work. Thank you, Vitex! -Josh

Our order was not easily accessible, so several items were in question. Lisa reached out to the staff member heading up our order, to the slab department, and to our contractor. Her efforts distilled all of our visits to Bedrosians, and resulted in a far more user-friendly version of the materials for our project. This was invaluable for all parties involved. Anthony was working that day and even though it was busy and he was helping multiple other people, I never felt invisible or smothered, I was checked on, and I was offered guidance on some of the slabs I'd liked in the warehouse, as well as the slab options in the showroom. Anthony gave me a lot of helpful advice that I would have not known to ask about or possibly overlooked because I wasn't aware to even consider it. I was able to find my slabs and will update the review once my project is complete. I'm really happy I went back into the store and worked with Anthony, he really made the experience a great one.

They were slightly less expensive than other options, but I liked the veining and was assured by Jesse that they were good quality. After installation, it was apparent there were rough spots on the slab and that it was bowed in the middle. The installation was worse: they did not check the peninsula for squareness first and instead just installed a crooked counter top, flush with the cabinets at one end but an overhang at the other. They cut the quartz inside my home without protection (leaving fine dust all over the floors and furniture), the seams were rough and messy, there was chipped paint off my walls, and they even left oil stains on my driveway. Customer service was nonexistent. My concerns were dismissed by Jesse- he told me I must be picky and hard to please. He was patronizing, has the air of a snake oil salesman, and offered zero resolution. I am so grateful that this was only a 5k countertop job and not a whole kitchen remodel. Lesson learned.

This review is based on more than a year of working with Precision Cabinetry & Design (now called…read morePCD Studios) and investing well into six figures on cabinetry for our home. I genuinely wanted this relationship to succeed, which is why it's so disappointing to write this review. If you're considering PCD Studios, get multiple bids before signing anything and i strongly suggest you go elsewhere. We ultimately hired another designer using the exact same Crystal Cabinets manufacturer. Their design was significantly better, their communication was outstanding, and the total cost was nearly half of what PCD proposed. For the premium they charge, I expected thoughtful, customized design. Instead, we received fairly basic 2D layouts that didn't justify the price. The service was even more disappointing. It often felt like every question or small change became another opportunity to increase costs. One example: our refrigerator manufacturer changed a cabinet panel dimension by just 1/16 of an inch. We were initially told we needed to buy a new panel. Only after we insisted they contact Crystal Cabinets did they learn the change was "no problem" and could be made without replacing the panel or charging more. Communication was another major issue. Michie Schmitz was generally pleasant to work with, but did little to rectify our issues. Our primary contact, Pippa Clarke, was repeatedly dismissive and difficult to work with. We requested multiple times that she no longer manage our project, but those requests were ignored. When issues were escalated to Renee Jordan, they rarely resulted in meaningful solutions. The end of the project was the most frustrating. After telling us we could apply our remaining deposit toward cabinet hardware, PCD had us spend time selecting and submitting our hardware. They then reversed course and said we would only receive the remaining credit if we signed a release agreement. The final accounting even included attorney fees for preparing the release they wanted us to sign. We declined because we were not willing to give up our rights simply to recover part of our own money. The storage issue was handled similarly. Our construction schedule changed, and instead of working with us, the discussions centered on storage fees and additional charges. The storage company itself contacted us asking why PCD was charging us so much, as the amount being passed through was substantially higher than what the storage company was charging. (PCD doubled the fee!). Ultimately, I walked away from thousands of dollars they held as ransom because it was more important to retain my ability to honestly share this experience than to sign a release agreement with this company. I rarely leave negative reviews, but after this experience I feel future customers deserve to know there are other Crystal Cabinets dealers who provide significantly better design, far better customer service, and dramatically better value. We ultimately worked with Silicon Valley Dream Homes, received a much better design, and saved tens of thousands of dollars. I only wish we had found them first. Do yourself a favor, go elsewhere.

I was hoping one of them would help me, but I give them the benefit of the doubt that they might be busy. So I waited patiently. After 2 minutes, 2 of the female workers stared me down and walked away to their back corners and went to their computers as if I'm a peasant. Not sure what I did to deserve that. That leaves me with 1 guy left. I stand in proximity waiting for help. After another 3 minutes of standing in front of his desk, I respectfully ask for help. He then gives me attitude, and treated me very differently from other customers that I just watched when I entered the store. That was rude and fkd up. Wtf did I do to deserve that? I got profiled. Is it because I'm not white? Is it because I'm young, and people think that I'm broke? Is it because my clothing is dirty from working on a project? I left the store. It was frustrating and demoralizing. I didn't deserve to be treated like that. I'm not coming back, and unless you're stereotyped as easy money, I don't think you deserve that treatment!

If you are considering using Lowe's Rancho Cordova for a kitchen remodel, read this first…read more We spent $25,842.52 on custom Diamond cabinetry because Lowe's Kitchen Specialist told us the cabinets were realistically expected in about 3-4 weeks, not the 6-8 weeks on the sign. That faster timeline is why we chose Lowe's. The order was placed May 4. The paperwork and online portal showed June 1. June 1 came. No cabinets. We had to chase Lowe's ourselves and discovered the manufacturer had sent Lowe's a clarification question needed to move the order forward. The specialist was supposed to ask us. She never did. The order sat stalled while we had no idea anyone was waiting on us. By the time the cabinets arrived June 24, we had lost the renovation window our contractor had reserved. He had other jobs booked, so Lowe's delay turned into a much larger cascading delay. Then the cabinets arrived with missing pieces, broken/chipped components, defective doors, staining/finish problems, incorrect items, reorders, and credits we had to chase. Then came the oven. We told the Kitchen Specialist we had a 30-inch double oven. We did NOT tell Lowe's to order a 30-inch cabinet. We did NOT select the cabinet. Lowe's did. Our contractor tried to make it work. The fit looked terrible, so we brought a photo back to Lowe's thinking we had an aesthetic problem. The Kitchen Specialist pulled up the oven specifications and told us there was not enough ventilation clearance and the oven was not safe to use in the cabinet Lowe's selected. That was after the cabinetry and quartz were already installed around Lowe's design. Now Lowe's is trying to shift responsibility to us and our contractor by relying on a policy we were never told about. For the first time on September 1, Lowe's told us that because Lowe's did not perform the installation, measurements were supposedly our contractor's responsibility. No one told us that before the sale. No one gave us a measurement checklist. No one told us our contractor had to verify Lowe's design. No one told us using a non-Lowe's contractor changed Lowe's responsibility. No one even offered Lowe's installation as something necessary for Lowe's to stand behind the work. We closed on this house May 6. Nearly four months later, we still cannot move in. We bought the house so our family could live together and help care for my father while he battles cancer. Instead, we are carrying the cost of two homes, including roughly a $6,000 mortgage on the new house, plus duplicate utilities, HOA, insurance, and other expenses. We have offered Lowe's reasonable solutions. They can correct the cabinetry properly, or we will even accept a smaller 27-inch oven with replacement cabinetry just to get this finished. They have refused. So here is the short version: Lowe's sold us on speed and expertise. Their employee failed to follow up on the order and caused a major delay. The cabinets arrived defective and incomplete. Lowe's selected an oven cabinet its own specialist later said was unsafe. And now Lowe's is relying on a policy it never disclosed before the sale to avoid responsibility. Nearly $26,000 later, we are still not in the house. I would never use this store for a kitchen remodel again.
