I have a 2010 Montana 5th wheel and broke the rear set of leaf springs on I-270. They sent out Russel to fix it. He apologized profusely for being on another job and us having to weight for him. He helped us get the camper to a park and ride and off the interstate. He did not have the springs to fix them but helped us get them and came back the next morning to install the and the 2 new tires we had to replace. I cannot thank Grimm's enough not Russel for their attention to detail and insistence on getting this fixed right. He gave us all kinds of advice for when we get back home for other small issues to check up on. Hope you never break down in Frederick, MD, but if you do, these are the guys to call for auto, truck and tractor trailer repair. So we broke another leaf spring on our RV. Made it back to Frederick MD and got Russel from Grimm's out to do the repair. Gave us great advice on improving the mechanics of our Montana including how to do the repairs and where to get the parts. Would not hesitate to use them again, but hope to never have too. read more

Negative stars. These are corrupt and dishonest people. They stole my car from my own home in the middle of the night. It was legally parked and everything was up to date, which I have all the paperwork evidence of. They made a mistake, yet still held my car ransom and forced me to pay hundreds of dollars. My HOA even contacted them regarding their error and they still refused to repay my money. They are predators. What they did to me really makes me lose faith in humanity and the goodness of people. I hope that what they are doing to innocent people legally parked at their own homes catches up to them soon. I'm sure it will. We required the services of a SEASONED towing company to send our [brand new] 5th Wheel RV for insurance repairs, as our own truck was at the shop. We learned of Grimm's Automovation from the receiving merchant's repair shop. MOST IMPRESSIVE was their care and professional towing service. (Learned they have all the equipment for the most challenging towing tasks. ) Driver was very personable and experienced. Learned, after the fact, that they were not on our insurance company's towing "network," yet they worked very well together, tow was covered, providing excellent support! Got hit, transported to hospital and they towed my car for the Sherriffs Dept. when released from the hospital they let me get my stuff out at 2am no problem. Really cool guys working there. Some places wont give you anything out of your car until you pay them. I told them my insurance company will call them in the morning to set up transfer to a body shop. My friend accidentally parked my car in my neighbors spot and my car was towed because my neighbor didn't know it was mine. Now they want to charge me $265 for the tow and release. The guy on the phone going to tell me it's $15 less on Mondays, what is wrong with these people, $15 dollars?? One guy parked outside of his house to unload his groceries, he came out and car was gone. They charged $400 dollars to get it out same day. They tried to tow my car same day for same reason. I had to bang on the truck to make him stop hooking up my car. I called the police, they have no jurisdiction in private communities. They towed another car parked against curb, not blocking anyone-charged $280 to get it back same day. read more

I had an accident on Monday, January 22 at around 5PM. My vehicle was not driveable so the police officer on the scene called this company to tow my car. I advised the police officer and the driver of the tow truck that my drivers side door did not open. There was very little physical damage on that door, but the fender was pushed up against it so it couldn't open. Sometime between 5PM on January 22nd through Wednesday, January 24th when my insurance adjuster went to write the estimate on my car, someone from this company decided that they didn't care that my door didn't open, they were going to make it open. When I saw what had happened to the door, I was so upset. The insurance adjuster told me my vehicle is a possible total loss. But this damage on my door added $1500 to the cost of repairs as the door now has to be replaced when it did not when the accident happened. I called the manager of the company to discuss the damage that his company had done to my vehicle, his final words to me were to prove it! So here is my proof. If i was you and I was looking to get my car towed, I would run far away from this company as they do not care about you, or your vehicle! read more

I wish I could rate this place lower. They don't even deserve one star. My car got towed for being parked in front of MY HOUSE. That WE OWN. We happen to have one car in the garage, a second in the driveway and my car (third car) was pulled sideways behind the car in the driveway. In our development we are not given a designated parking spot. We either have spots directly in front of our house or on the other side. Often those are taken up and we have to hope that someone leaves and maybe we can get a spot. I often work late nights and by the time I get off work all the spots are taken. This happens often where we don't have spots and this evening I had no choice but to park sideways to the car in the driveway. We have no other place to park yet my car gets towed. Then where can we park? I went in with my mother to Grimm's Automovation and there was a lady and a man, guessing the owners. They were very disrespectful. They told me I owed $200 even though I was parked in front of my house, not blocking anyone's driveway. They claimed we don't own the sidewalk which yes I know but then comes the question, where can we park when there is no spots? The lady then went and proceeded to saying right in front of my mom how I was clearly not RAISED properly. That I had no manners. I should have laughed in her face because everyone who knows me knows I'm the sweetest person you'll meet. Of course when your car gets towed from being in front of your house anyone would be pissed. They just continued to yell in my face and get smart with me, acting like I was a child. They are just after money, which I told them to their face. The man then went to proceed to say, "Do you know what a business is. We are running a successful business. Bernie Sanders (this and that)". I asked them to wave the fee since they clearly were in the wrong and explained how I am a college student who does not have time to throw $200 down the drain and the lady yelled in my face saying "I HAVE BILLS TO PAY". Incident occurred yesterday where in our neighborhood parking is very very limited, we have 3 vehicles, 1 that sits in the garage, 1 in the driveway and unfortunately this evening their were no parking spaces available so we parked the third car right behind the vehicle in the driveway, away from the street so no vehicles will ram into it, so we parked it as close to the other vehicle as we could to avert traffic coming and from the neighborhood. At approximately 3 30am Grimm's tow service came through and towed the car at about 6am we woke up alarmed to find the car missing only to find it at Grimm's. So we went to retrieve the vehicle at 8 when they opened, asked them several times where would an appropriate place to park, no answer from either attendants, told us that the vehicle was illegally parked on public property (the sidewalk) right along our driveway and then they proceeded on raising their voices and told us that there was no way around the situation even for being a first offense, told us that it was simply business and they have "bills to pay" and even said that "your mother didn't raise you right" the whole situation could have been handled better but these people are the worst, very rude, disgusting and down right hideous, attitude the moment we phoned them to the moment we left, horrible customer service, never got an answer to my question to prevent events like this from happening again, all they care about is money, they do not care about values, morals or business standards, they both need to go back to school and take a class in human interaction because they obviously cannot communicate without getting agitated. read more

If your a commercial company beware! There is a lovely lady in the office who works with clients on invoicing, that was the positive. We sent some checks in that never arrived that we did not realize were sent to an old address for the company. The owner calls our company multiple times a day screaming and yelling, using profanity because he was not paid. Now these invoice were not very old, aging no more than 60 days but we sent checks in. The owner decides to hire a collection company who has an investigator that wants to come out and do an audit of our inventory. He broke so many collection laws, that I have gotten with my attorney on the matter and may sue them. Once the collections company got involved we were able to send the returned checks from the mail to show we paid and show inaccuracies in their billing. Beware, their towing bills are outrageous, over $500.00 just to tow. As a business owner, I know not to treat my clients like that. read more

While traveling in my motorhome after three months of wrangling with l shops including cummins and freightliner from IN to PA than home to MD did their best to help Grimms Automation got to the bottom of my hard start problems in a moist environment. Hee ha - They were respectful of what the further possibilities could be after I isolated a bad ground when I got home which solved my chassis battery draining issue that I also had for four months.
