Parillada Clasica

Grilltopia es increíble. La parrillada está deliciosa y la yuca frita es, sin duda, la mejor que he probado. Excelente comida, buen ambiente y servicio de primera. ¡Muy recomendado!

Been going here since Day 1 which was 15 years ago when they opened…read more It never disappoints. I always have to get their Sancocho which is their beef stew. It comes with rice and I always get the yellow rice. My husband got their mojo pork and this was so good and juicy and flavorful. It came with yellow rice and kidney beans. They are both so tasty. I really need to try it in their Cuban sandwiches. Their service here is excellent. So friendly and always checking on us. No wonder this is still around - bc of their great food and great service. Little did they know we've been eating different all month and we've been to the LTC at least a dozen times! But shussshhh! Don't spoil their intentions. I feel the food is very tasty considering much of it is previously cooked then reheated. Although, the Cuban sandwiches always taste freshly made. The Mofongo and Pernil - a big hit with us. Mrs. E. thinks the place pricey even if the portions are very generous. I disagree and say it's typical South Florida pricing. It's possibly the busiest take out I've ever seen. The café is a cozy little spot; not very big and not much decoration, but, the atmosphere is laid back and comfortable. The staff are always friendly. They really know the menu. They're extremely fast and efficient, too. 12/25

I ordered the steak with tostadas and a mojito, both items I would highly recommend. Sitting outside of Mojo by all the other Krate spots was lovely, as there was live music playing nearby.

My original rating for this restaurant was 5 stars, and that wasn't given lightly. I had been here…read moresix times before, and every visit was lively, welcoming, and consistently delicious. The Ropa Vieja was my go-to order, and I genuinely loved this place. Unfortunately, today's visit was a completely different experience & I damn near thought I went to an entirely different establishment. From the moment I walked in, something felt off. The atmosphere was noticeably different, and I don't even recall hearing music. The young man behind the counter seemed to be looking for ingredients, which should have been my first sign to turn around and choose somewhere else. Instead, I stayed because I trusted my previous experiences. This time, I ordered the Cuban nachos and 2 chicken empanadas. When I opened the tray in my car, I was honestly shocked. The nachos were simply chips, melted cheese, and cilantro aioli. There were no jalapeños, no pickled onions, and no fresh cilantro, which were all toppings that are supposed to come with the dish. I never asked for any of them to be excluded. The empanada was another disappointment. The small empanadas they used to serve were delicious. Now, they've been replaced with much larger empanadas containing a filling that tasted more like a generic "chicken-like" mixture than the quality I remembered. I'm genuinely saddened by this experience because this used to be my go-to spot whenever I was craving Ropa Vieja. After six previous visits, I had every reason to expect the same quality I had always enjoyed. I don't know if there has been a change in management, recipes, or staff, but something has definitely changed. Unfortunately, based on today's experience, I won't be returning. It's disappointing to lose a place I once rated five stars and happily recommended.

What hit me first was the decor, warm, cultural and unapologetically Puerto Rican just my kind of spot! The outside open air patio was just as nice. Very spacious spot with plenty of room inside and outside great for large gatherings. Cozy and relaxed atmosphere with an attentive staff that catered to us the entire time. We ordered a lot of food. For appetizers we had the classic fried cheese with guava sauce, sampler platters and the tostones de pana. All crisp and served with extra dipping sauce. The spicy margaritas were fire literally! Passion fruit frappe is my new guilty pleasure so good. Mofongo was good but wish they served it in the traditional Pilon and not a Ramen like bowl. The churrasco was ok was a little tough but the arroz con gandules was seasoned nicely. Everyone was satisfied with the food big portions and service was outstanding. Thank you. This is definitely my favorite Puerto Rican spot in the Wesley Chapel area and glad to see is a beautiful spot. They also have a live band noticed as they were setting up when we were leaving. They are open until midnight on weekends.

The chicken was very nice and moist; the skin had a very good crunch. The salad, on the other hand, was not great. The tomatoes were fine, as were the cucumber slices and the seeds(pumpkin, maybe), but the lettuce, not great. Some of it was a little brown on the edges. There was a piece of crunchy garlic toast standing up in the side salad. It was very similar to a piece of melba toast. Nice crunch. Our waiter was very friendly, and checked on whether we were enjoying our lunches, but he did not come by with a water pitcher for refills. Sadly for Bahama Breeze, the restaurant was not busy; I was hoping for a water refill while we sat and chatted after lunch.
