Everything was so delicious it was hot. It was fresh. We could barely even wait to get home to open the bags. It smelled so good in the car definitely worth the wait. It wasn't very busy when we went. The atmosphere was really nice. The staff was helpful and very suggestive of what we should try so of course for science purposes, we tried a lot of things some things I didn't get the picture because we ate it before I had a chance to take the pictures of it, but it was all so good 10 out of 10 would definitely recommend. read more

Wow! We spotted this place on the Krate directory and love Peruvian food so decided to give it a try. It's a casual place, but the service is great and the food is outstanding! We started with Inca cola and then split appetizers: Causa de Pollo and the Yuca Frita con Huancaina. Both were incredible and we decided that this is the best fried yuca we've ever had! What a great find! Love all the small restaurant options in this area and our family tried this one for dinner. I ordered the Aeropuerto fried rice and noodles with chicken and it was pretty good but needed some extra flavoring. If they offered spices to kick up the flavor that would be great. Peruvian food took a while to get to Wesley Chapel, and when it did it made me happy. Since it is one of my most fave type of food. Even so, it took me a while to try it here. This has been open almost a year now. Took my friend a few months ago for her first Peruvian Ceviche experience. I let her know it's completely different than what you would have for other ceviche. She was happily satisfied as I was too. This location is in the Krates. It has a good amount of seating considering. We went during the week, so it wasn't too packed. The girl working was super nice and even took our pic. I haven't been back since, but I'm happy it's here. I do think their prices are higher than other Peruvian places for the size of the serving. Now we have Pisco Express and Lima in New Tampa in the area. I can probably tell u the Peruvian places in Tampa, that's how much I follow them. read more

Another cute Krate full of flavors. There's sitting inside and outside. You can order inside but they also come to your table for service. Everyone was very pleasant. We came in for snacks only. I ordered Yuca Frita with Huacaina sauce. The waitress got me some homemade red hot sauce and their famous green sauce. The green sauce was my favorite, is spicy and full of cilantro and garlic flavors. We also tried their topical Papas a la Huacaina. This is a cold appetizer made with mashed potatoes and a chicken salad in the middle. I think they did a pretty good job representing their culture and it looked pretty. read more

Through my travels I've gotten quite used to eating Peruvian food, and this place has definitely been a go too. The Huanacana sauce is usually my go too (and I discovered it at this place), but, I will say they need to increase the portions on this, as I'm left with lots of great sauce at the end, and not enough noodles or beef. The pesto pasta is also a great go to, with chicken or vegetarian. The sauce is perfectly balanced on this, and sticks to everything quite well. My one item is they add a bit too much salt in the huanacana, which if they limited this just a bit, would make it one of the best dishes, and if they added a non beef version, some people I know would be able to enjoy it quite a bit. read more

I really want to love this establishment because it's the only Peruvian restaurant in the Wesley Chapel area. After my travels to Lima, Huacachina and Cusco, I fell in love with their gastronomy. Unfortunately for me, Pisco Express (located at The Krate) falls short when comparing the food not only to cuisine in Lima but also competing restaurants in Tampa Bay. I have tried the ceviche, tallarin saltado, and leche de tigre and all were just at best average. Sadly, only the ceviche would make me potentially reorder in the future. The service is always very lackadaisical. You don't know who is next in line or who exactly is taking orders. I'm okay with mediocre service if the food is outstanding, which is not the case. This Peruvian and Chinese fusion restaurant is now open at the sprawling Krate at the Grove. This area is super cool for families with kids displaying an amalgamation of restaurant and retail venues. My wife and and I had an amazing dinner and we would would recommend the Chaufa especial which is a mix of chicken, beef, and shrimp wonderfully cooked with a Chinese style fried rice. The other dish we had was the wonderful Tallarín huancaina con pollo which is a beautifully cooked pasta with their yellow savory huancaina sauce over diced chicken breast. Right when you walk through the door you are slapped with horrible odor like sewage water. the food was horrible.. the tostones hard, no salt, and lacks taste. the fish chicharrones not even toasted, along with the fried yuca they were both soggy and no salt. the fried chicken wontons were made with what looks like dog treats. all of this for $40, waste of money! As a fellow Peruvian, I must say my dish was absolutely delicious! The lomo was saucy and the steak was very tender and juicy (it might be even better than my mother's!) The tallarín a la huancaina had the perfect amount of sauce on it. I ordered to go and sat outside. The inside of the restaurant is a decent size. It has beautiful murals on the walls. My service was quick because I ordered to go, but I could see service being slow if I had dined inside. The server comes and says to go orders can't sit at the table? And that we need to move. No where inside does it say to go orders can't sit at the tables. I don't post reviews but I was very disappointed with today's visit at Pisco Express at Krate. The food is good but customer service is the worst. When we arrived the inside tables were all taken so when I ordered our food I said I wanted it to go. While we were waiting, a couple of the tables had been cleared so we decided to go sit at one of the tables. One of the ladies working there approached us & asked if we had ordered food to go so we said yes. She catched an attitude & said "Food to go is for you to take it, not to seat in here." I said I understood but that when I placed my order there were no empty tables & that is why I said to go. She said again, in a louder tone "To go food is supposed to be taken out of here, not for us to box it & for you to eat here." It was so embarrassing & it felt kind of degrading. I will never come back to this place the food is not worth all of this. There's a lot of other options at Krate where the food is delicious & customer service is amazing. I should mention that no where does it say to wait to be seated or do they explain to you that if your food is to go you cannot sit at the tables inside.
