Ceviche Mixto
Rachel M.

Peruvian food took a while to get to Wesley Chapel, and when it did it made me happy. Since it is one of my most fave type of food. Even so, it took me a while to try it here. This has been open almost a year now. Took my friend a few months ago for her first Peruvian Ceviche experience. I let her know it's completely different than what you would have for other ceviche. She was happily satisfied as I was too. This location is in the Krates. It has a good amount of seating considering. We went during the week, so it wasn't too packed. The girl working was super nice and even took our pic. I haven't been back since, but I'm happy it's here. I do think their prices are higher than other Peruvian places for the size of the serving. Now we have Pisco Express and Lima in New Tampa in the area. I can probably tell u the Peruvian places in Tampa, that's how much I follow them.

Another cute Krate full of flavors. There's sitting inside and outside. You can order inside but they also come to your table for service. Everyone was very pleasant. We came in for snacks only. I ordered Yuca Frita with Huacaina sauce. The waitress got me some homemade red hot sauce and their famous green sauce. The green sauce was my favorite, is spicy and full of cilantro and garlic flavors. We also tried their topical Papas a la Huacaina. This is a cold appetizer made with mashed potatoes and a chicken salad in the middle. I think they did a pretty good job representing their culture and it looked pretty.

First visit and hopefully not my last. They were very busy but service was good. Not sure what I ordered but it was delicious.

We always walk up and down trying to agree on a place to eat at the Krates. We found this gem at the end by the stage and we have never seen it before. Absolutely amazing!!!!! We highly recommend this place, the service is good, we sat at the counter so they helped us decide what to order and they did not disappoint.

A great substitution for the original pisco if you're in the Wesley Chapel area. Inside Krate, which a cute area to walk around. I came here specifically for the tallarin verde- the pasta with green pesto sauce and it was amazing! The staff were very friendly too.

Great service and the menu is expansive, much needed Peruvian option in an area with not many to choose from. The location is in an area with good parking and the space is well organized for families to dine. The lomo saltado and arroz chaufa are the best!

This Peruvian Chinese fusion is absolutely AMAZING !! Every time I go it never disappoints. On the weekends if it is packed at the Krates it will be pretty busy inside. Everything on the menu is amazing. There is a good amount of tables inside and there is a bar area that offers additional seating. I would definitely recommend Pisco for sure especially if you're going with your family. Great amount of food!!

Nice place to eat. Server was polite and great business overall. Clean indoors. And the plates are great too. Did enjoy the steak. Will visit again soon enough. Thanks so much! Churrasco was amazing. Hopefully I'll be able to try some plantains and's beans the next time I'm there. I'm looking forward to dining again soon enough. Thanks everyone cooking for the great food and thanks to the waitress for her hard work and thoughtful actions.

What a great spot for a quick lunch! Located in Krate (in Grove at Wesley Chapel). Pisco Express is a Chinese- Peruvian style restaurant filled with deliciousness! The TALLARIN SALTADO is made with stir-fried noodles, vegetables, and your choice of chicken, shrimp, beef or pork or a combination. It was seasoned to perfection with a slight sweet savory blend. The restaurant is cute, quaint and filled with culture! It was clean and the staff was very welcoming! Don't leave this off of your lunch menu or even dinner for that matter! Check it out!

As a Peruvian, I highly recommend this place. The portions are generous and everything was delicious! We had Yuca with Huancaina sauce, Causa, Ceviche, and the seafood arroz Chaufa. The place was packed and the service was excellent.the menu has pictures and numbers that correspond to what you're ordering, so you can see what everything is.

Outdoor seating.

Good ceviche that's part of the Krate. Prices are ok for ceviche and there are many other places in the "food court" including a beer self-serve. Excellent for divers groups.

The flavors you can discover in the greater Tampa area are boundless. That much is evident with the official opening of Pisco Express. This Peruvian and Chinese fusion restaurant is now open at the sprawling Krate at the Grove. This area is super cool for families with kids displaying an amalgamation of restaurant and retail venues. My wife and and I had an amazing dinner and we would would recommend the Chaufa especial which is a mix of chicken, beef, and shrimp wonderfully cooked with a Chinese style fried rice. The other dish we had was the wonderful Tallarín huancaina con pollo which is a beautifully cooked pasta with their yellow savory huancaina sauce over diced chicken breast. Thank you and we will be experiencing your awesome ambiance again very soon. They also provided a military discount of 10% which I appreciate after serving 30 years in the Marine Corps!!

Right when you walk through the door you are slapped with horrible odor like sewage water. the food was horrible.. the tostones hard, no salt, and lacks taste. the fish chicharrones not even toasted, along with the fried yuca they were both soggy and no salt. the fried chicken wontons were made with what looks like dog treats. all of this for $40, waste of money! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE, NOT EVEN TO MY WORST ENEMY!

They used to serve a combination meal with generous house salad and French fries. Their chaufa (Asian fusion fried rice) was the best in Tampa Bay, in our opinion of all of the Peruvian restaurants we have tried far and wide. Their staff was super friendly and their prices were very reasonable. We wish they would reopen somewhere, they were a gem in the Tampa Bay Area and we would definitely give these folks more of our business.

The presentation was great and from there we assumed the food would be delicious. We were not wrong! Other Peruvian restaurants lack the kind of service these people have along with the amount of food served which for the price, was on par. The most important thing to point out: THEY OPEN AT 11 AM (that's what got me to order from them in the first place. we could not wait unti 12 pm to get our lunch) Anywho, it's located on E Yukon St., but well worth the trip over there. you will not complain. None of us 4 people complained at all. We are definitely going to order from them again!! Great job Kanka's!
