For the price, the portions were quite generous. 12 pieces of small grilled shrimp with a large amount of rice and ample amount of veggies. The shrimp was sadly a little overdone as it got a bit rubbery and hard to take out from the skewer. But it was flavored nicely. The vegetables were more enjoyable as it was steamed and seasoned nicely. The rice was fine. Since there was a good amount of food, I took some back to my hotel room. I skipped dessert as I was getting too full. The service was good and friendly. It seemed to be a family restaurant as there looked to be just 3 servers and maybe a chef or two in the kitchen. The dining area is pretty small and can get cramped, but there was a live singer singing Spanish Latin songs and getting the crowd energized. Outdoor seating is available as well. Bathroom was outside and you need a key to get in. Unfortunately, the cow at the entrance was a not safe to mount, but the mini donkey next to it didn't mind a silly cowboy to sit on it for a quick photo op. For the price paid, Monseratte offers decent food and generous portion for the price. It is very casual and quite small, but if you go at the right time, you can enjoy some live music as well. They have always been open for breakfast and lunch (I recommend the Cuban sandwhich!) but the biggest treat is that Tony is now offering dinner on Fridays and Saturdays! Usually my go to is the Paella but I went in for dinner this week and had the lobster special with shrimp. The flavors were literally out of this world perfectly seasoned and incredibly fresh. You also cannot leave without ordering the yuca fries. They are made fresh in house all the way down to the dipping sauce. Don't forget to try one of his delicious Flan! I was headed to a poultry farm for fresh chicken and wanted breakfast and drove out of my way to this place to try it. A stand alone house converted to a business with parking in front side and back. The 4th side had 3 picnic tables under a shady oak. Inside was clean and not yet busy at 7:15 am. I ordered pressed Media Noche BLT and a cafe con leche to eat in. I added a Honey Cuban, all the way, to take home. A lady there took my order, I offer no adjectives to describe service as the exchange was purely business. I took some photos inside and out for my review and waited. When my order arrived I noticed that like many products today, the media noche bread was smaller than it used to be. Can't say whether that is industry standard, due to the bakery that made it or if it's sold in different sizes. None the less, I knew I would still be hungry but solved it by asking for the cuban to eat in instead of to go. As I picked up half of my sandwich I could see no bacon, so I opened it and there was none. When I showed the lady my baconless lettuce and tomato sandwich, her response was that the bacon must be on the other side. !?! Photo enclosed. Well, I ate my half a BLT and by then the Honey Cuban was at the table. My first bite stopped me in my tracks. Something about the taste puzzled me. I had already swallowed the first small bite which was the pointy end of the sandwich. I took another bite and spat it out, something was funky. Took it apart and found wet lettuce past it's prime that should have been discarded. The pork was well seasoned and tasted great. In the end, it was the ham that was slightly spoiled and you could taste it. So, drank my coffee and walked up to pay. The owner asked how it was, I told him that it was a bad experience, to which he said "next time" and I stopped him. There would be no next time. He charged full price and told me I needed his permission to take pictures. All told, nearly $27 for one half of a BLT and a cup of coffee. Left the offensive cuban on the table and left. That's life folks!! In my opinion, based on food, service and ownership attitude, you are better off going somewhere else.

Friendly staff, great service and amazing Peruvian food, we know this cuisine very well, having traveled to Peru (Lima, Mira Flores, Cusco, Machu Picchu). The fries were pretty soggy on arrival (they should have punched holes in the containers to help release the steam), but they did crisp up well in the air fryer. I thought the pollo was pretty good. Still pretty juicy, well-seasoned. Excellent yellow sauce, and the green sauce had a good kick. I think I prefer Cuenelli's, but the best restaurant is the open restaurant, and Cuenelli's closes too early. The chicken also keeps well and makes for an awesome sandwich the next day. I'll happily order from them again when I'm craving pollo a la brasa outside of Cuenelli's opening hours.
