AVOID! Pollo Rocoto offers 0% customer service. Very disappointing experience for the second time. I don't know why I thought to give it another try. Food wait times are EXTREMELY long. Waitress I had didn't care at all that we were waiting for a long time and she never checked on us. Restaurant is too small for the amount of tables they have inside. I tried the Jalea seafood dish which was not the greatest. Parking is the worst as we had to park at the skating rink next door. AVOID this place at all cost. Soo frustrating!! ON TOP OF ALL THIS I WAS CHARGED A credit card SERVICE AND GRATUITY WAS INCLUDED. Gratuity??For what??? Horrific service?? Ridiculous! I would STRONGLY recommend Pollo Norkys which is right across the plaza.

This must be THE place, we were trying to find the best roasted chicken in Tampa and I think we found it, we started with the ceviche carretillero mixto, it was delicious, very well balanced and seasoned, Peruvian Ceviche is one of my favorite things on earth, and this one was outstanding. My boyfriend got one of the soup and it was also sooo good, I tried a little bit and it was great! When we walked in they told us that we had to wait for the chicken at least half an hour, we decided to wait, and honestly it was sooo worth the wait, chicken was incredibly tasty and delicious! We also had to ordered one to go too.. Service is great overall, both servers on duty were so kind and on top of the table, I am definitely coming back for sure, next time I have to try their Lomo Salteado. Restaurant seems very clean, a little small but that actually made the place cozier. Best roasted chicken in Tampa.

Very Peruvian place. Tastes very good. Casual. . ....in a strip mall next to a bunch of other Latin countries restaurants.

This is some of the best Peruvian Chifa I've ever had. My husband and I LOVE Peruvian food and try new places as often as we can. This was absolutely delicious. We ordered the Tri Color Huancaina. It came with three different huancaina sauces. Absolutely delicious. Then we shared the Chaifa de pollo. Again, delicious and authentic. This is our new place to come when we are craving Peruvian. The service is amazing and it's a family owned place. Father son restaurants right next to each other! Great job !

Hands down the best chaufa in the Tampa Bay Area. The ceviche and causas are also spectacular. Small and cozy restaurante that takes you on a delectable trip to the heart of Peru. Excellent service too!

This is our second visit, the first we tried the traditional "Pollo la brasa"....because this is a good base for my wife and I as to the quality of the restaurant. It was amazing the flavors were on point and the salsas were authentically delicious. This time we ordered a "mostrito" a mix of "pollo la brasa and chaufa with salad and fries." To start the restaurant is well decorated and well laid out. It is very clean and more inviting than several other establishments we have visited. We obviously will be returning again, as well as trying out their sister full dining location Sr. Rocoto. The food yet again was delicious, the chaufa was a basic fried rice (but authentic, not Chinese buffet version) the fries and pollo were yet again perfect!

We started with the ceviche sampler, which was fresh and delicious. We requested no spice, and they thoughtfully let us know in advance that one of the samplers still had a little kick to it--which it did--but it was still fantastic. We also shared the ribeye with pesto, and wow... absolutely delish on both accounts! The ambiance is great too. The outdoor patio is dog-friendly, which is a huge plus, and the inside dining room has a cute, cozy feel with white tablecloths that make it feel just a little special. For dessert, we tried the bread pudding. It was a different take than the traditional version, but it tasted great--especially with the vanilla ice cream melting over the top. Overall, an unexpected gem. Highly recommend!

It is the little things I have noticed specifically including how many if not most of the wine racks are now empty including the beautiful wine room. And there seem to be too many new untrained servers - last night had to show ours how to open a bottle of wine and remind him that I needed a spoon to stir sugar in an espresso. What I paid corkage for, I have no idea and would have purchased something had things been better. Last night was also a major milestone night for us which I noted when we made the reservation. Not brought up on any way other than assigning us a brand new server. As for the food, the paella was OK, smaller than usual and the steak anticuchos de carne (steak on skewers with chimichurris sauce on the side) was not pleasing - actually very tough. I would love to see them regain the magic that brought us back so many times. However for now, this is no longer on our list of favorites to take friends and celebrate special occasions. :(

They used to serve a combination meal with generous house salad and French fries. Their chaufa (Asian fusion fried rice) was the best in Tampa Bay, in our opinion of all of the Peruvian restaurants we have tried far and wide. Their staff was super friendly and their prices were very reasonable. We wish they would reopen somewhere, they were a gem in the Tampa Bay Area and we would definitely give these folks more of our business.

The presentation was great and from there we assumed the food would be delicious. We were not wrong! Other Peruvian restaurants lack the kind of service these people have along with the amount of food served which for the price, was on par. The most important thing to point out: THEY OPEN AT 11 AM (that's what got me to order from them in the first place. we could not wait unti 12 pm to get our lunch) Anywho, it's located on E Yukon St., but well worth the trip over there. you will not complain. None of us 4 people complained at all. We are definitely going to order from them again!! Great job Kanka's!

When I pulled up, I wasn't sure if they were open or closed, but as soon as I walked in, the cashier greeted me right away. Starting off strong with great customer service. I ordered the quarter dark with fries, a Sprite, and of course the yellow sauce. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, the fries were solid, and that yellow sauce tied it all together perfectly. The only miss? My fountain Sprite was flatter than a crepe -- definitely a sign the spout needs changing. I was this close to grabbing a slice of tres leches cake, but I had just finished an ice cream cone from McDonald's, so I had to show a little restraint. Overall, my craving was satisfied -- and that's what counts. Thanks, Cuenelli's!

Super friendly staff and a cute space with plenty of seating. Specializing in rotisserie chicken, they really know what they're doing here! Everything we had was absolutely delicious. A ton of flavor, fresh, and light to eat so much without feeling stuffed. The half chicken and Cuenellis Special gave us a perfect mix of everything the menu offers. The steak over the cilantro rice with an egg is a flavor combo I love. The yuka fries and plantains were cooked perfectly. I also really loved both sauces that came with our meals.
