Out front of the food truck. Cute.

I certainly hate to say this but Leno's was very underwhelming to me. First off, I have eaten at a few of the food trucks in this area. It would put some off that the surrounding area is full of weeds, debris and trash. Not exactly the idea cleanliness. With that being said, the area immediately surrounding the food trucks is mowed and clean. There was no one there on a Wednesday afternoon when I stopped by for lunch. I had a pipata which consisted of essentially a chicken sandwich with cheese and sauce and fries. It needed to be eaten with a fork which was promising however the flavor did not deliver. My most favorite component of the meal was the lime, natural sugar cane drink. Not overly sweet not overly tart very refreshing and I would stop by to get this again. Overall I expected more from his food truck sad to say it did not deliver.

Stopped in to check out one of the new food trucks on the block and boy was my taste buds pleased!!!! From the moment you walk up you can see they have a great set up with several pick nick tables and plenty of room and cover to enjoy your meal. The food was fabulous and the portions are just right. While waiting for you order you will catch the aroma of the meats being grilled outside for the food orders... The smoked meat smell alone makes your mouth water while you wait. I had the papito sandwich which was super tasty and packed with meat. ITT came with some classic cut fries that accompanied my meal perfectly. The Mrs has the fried green plantains piled high with shredded beef... Man it was awesome... If your in the mood for some South America fusion check them out your taste buds will thank you...

The way Leno's smokes and grills their carne is unbelievable. Perfectly crisp fries, tres leches just right. And you can't beat that al fresco ambiance. Sipping lime juice sweetened with pure cane sugar- what a way to enjoy a Thursday afternoon under the sun. Today for $16 and change I ordered: 1/2 size Carne Asada Pepito Tres Leches Cake Panela Con Limon

Salchipapa

I promise it looked better before I ate half of it This is delicious, The best salchipapa I have ever had. It has amazing portions and flavor for the price. You can't get any better!!!

Salchi papa's. Fries with ketchup and mayo and creamy garlic sauce with cut up hot dogs.

I love the decor this spot had! And the service was super fast and friendly! My friend took me here and suggested the Salchi papa's, but we were unfortunately unimpressed with this sharable plate. When my friend described similar plates I was very excited but quickly disappointed by the lack of meat variety! The fees and sauce were great but the creepy hotdogs that were super greasy killed the dish for me!

The difference between Leños and others Venezuelan/Colombian trucks is their smoked meat! Great taste in all of their meats. I ordered the Picada x2 , tostones de mechada and pepito carne asada. My favorite was the picada. Also, their costumer service is excellent, my order took a bit more that usual and they gave me extra tostones de mechada to compensate for the wait.

While taking a look of the menu, she mentioned again about not taking too long to order because the kitchen was closing soon, this was not even 5 min after giving us the menu ( if you are rushing to close just don't take more people and avoid having a bad attitude or experience ). Food 7 of 10 ( Venezuelan bbq was really good and tasty chorizos were delicious, sides were really well Cooked and flavory, Brazilian picanha was cooked perfect, chimichurri sauce was perfect but amount was very little, and cachapas were the weakest point.. cachapa had an old or musty aftertaste definitely horrible won't recommend it. Price is reasonable, first Venezuelan restaurant that I don't feel is overpriced ( 2 cachapas, 1 picanha 12 oz $52 ) As a former server.. please teach or do training sessions with servers to increase quality and positive outcomes. Food has a huge potential but experiences is what people take at the end of the day!

After looking at reviews on Yelp, we decided to check out Alma Llanera in St Pete. We made the drive and were welcomed when we walked in. They have a great overall selection on their menu, a variety of authentic Venezuelan dishes you can dig in to. Really, we were craving empanadas - but we are eager to try more dishes next time. We ordered three carne mechada empanadas (shredded beef hand pies), one cheese empanada, and two mora natural juices. Each orderaccompanied with a side of their house sauces that compliment the natural on-going flavors of the empanda - a creamy, white garlic sauce (salsa de ajo) and a cilantro based sauce (salsa de cilantro). The moment you sink you teeth into their empanadas, you're brought to a whole new world - A country called Venezuela! You are instantly met were explosive delicious flavors. The outter shell of the empanada has this savory, with a slight hint of sweet flavor. The inner part is stuffed with tender, satuéed shredded beef, you can taste the amazing flavors of the sofrito based meat. I would recommend anyone, someone who has yet to try this place to someone who eats empanadas on a daily basis, to come on and give them a whirl. It's a must try!

It's in a stand alone building, right next to a large apartment complex. The turn is very easy to miss on your first visit, even with GPS. But once you've been there, you'll never miss it again. Your tastebuds will lead you home. When I got there, early on a Thursday morning, the place was humming. There are no tables or booths-it's take out only... and people were whizzing in-then whizzing out with big boxes or bags. That was a very good sign. But soon, I didn't notice the other people (cue the music montage)... I was mesmerized-transfixed, even... by all the goodies. Everything from delicate coconut pastries to corn casserole to fruit tarts/tortes, to chicken empanadas, to fancy cakes to big, puffy/fluffy cheese loaves... all beautifully displayed and labeled. It was a feast for the senses. I couldn't stop taking photos! I also couldn't decide what to get, but finally blurted out something about the corn casserole and quickly added the coconut cocada and pan bolo (guava). I am happy to report that everything tasted as good as it looked. As the 80s ballad declared: "the search is over"... I have found my favorite bakery, I love that it has both sweet and savory items. I will be back again and again. But not just for the food. It's the service! The woman helping me was absolutely delightful. She was warm and friendly and helpful and full of good suggestions. She was sunshine. That's something you can't put in a display case or add to a recipe.. Ricopan, you're a star! I'll be back! P.s. private parking lot-fair prices-very clean and they also sell coffee-maybe other drinks, too.

We decided to try something different since we were in Tampa and made reservations for 8:15 PM…read more When we arrived, the entrance was packed and there was no host or hostess in sight. Several couples were waiting. While standing there, we heard a woman tell another patron she did not have a reservation, yet when the manager came out to seat guests, he seated a large group and then that party of three before the rest of us who had reservations. Shortly after, he loudly announced, "Reservations first," which was confusing considering what we all had just witnessed. When we were finally seated, we were initially placed at the worst table in the room by the kitchen and bathroom but were accommodated after requesting a move. We then waited 10-15 minutes before the manager instructed Daniel to take care of us. Daniel ended up being the highlight of the evening--professional, apologetic, and attentive despite circumstances clearly outside of his control. We ordered empanadas, only to find out the flavors we wanted were sold out. Daniel brought cheesesteak, four-cheese, and shredded beef instead. The cheesesteak had decent flavor but was dry. Overall, the empanadas were very doughy and the meat lacked moisture. We then ordered the All Beef Parrillada. When it arrived, my wife checked the temperature and tasted a small piece. Immediately after, a server returned and said the dish wasn't ours and took it back. We watched her walk into the kitchen and then bring the same tray out to another table seated two tables away--who had been seated after us. That was extremely concerning. To make matters worse, we were then informed that mashed potatoes were no longer available and needed to select another side--yet the table that received the dish we had touched was served mashed potatoes. We ended up with extra rice and spinach. The spinach was oily with no noticeable garlic, salt, or seasoning. The rice was plain white rice with peas and carrots and little flavor. The steak itself, however, was well-seasoned and prepared nicely. During our visit, we also noticed another Black couple seated next us who waited at least 30 minutes without being greeted or even served water. They eventually left. Shortly after, the table was seated with white males who were greeted and attended to within 10 minutes. That observation was very difficult to ignore after talking to them. Daniel did not charge us for the empanadas, spinach, or the sangria (which he made promptly so we wouldn't experience another long wait). The sangria was very good. His professionalism and sincere attitude were the only things that salvaged the evening. Overall, the service inconsistencies, food execution, and handling of dishes--especially serving a plate that had already been touched--were disappointing and extremely concerning. We came for a different experience, but unfortunately left questioning whether we would return. 2 stars for steak taste and season and Daniel's effort.

Perfectly seasoned, expertly cooked, and served sizzling hot. The ribeye was rich and tender with just the right char. Their chimichurri adds that bright, herby punch that takes everything up a notch. The empanadas are a must to start -- flaky, flavorful, and hard to share. I also love the beef carpaccio as a starter. The sides are classic and generous, and if you have room, don't skip dessert. Service feels personal and attentive without being overbearing. It's a great spot for a date night, family dinner, or even just a glass of wine and steak at the bar. Tampa has plenty of steakhouses, but Renzo's keeps me coming back for the consistency, quality, and welcoming atmosphere.
