Maconda Coffee Roasters is that spot in Tampa The vibes? Immaculate. It's cozy but still aesthetic enough for a lowkey photo dump or study session. Whether you're pulling up to lock in or just catch up with friends, it hits every time. And the coffee? Actually elite. Like, you can tell they're not playing around with their beans everything tastes super fresh and smooth, not bitter or basic. It's the kind of place where you accidentally become a coffee snob after one visit. 10/10, no notes. If you're in Tampa and not waking up to Maconda, wyd?
We were in desperate need for caffeine after a six hour road trip. With an hour to go, we were looking for something not far off of 75. Macondo came up on my search and I'm so happy we gave it a try. It was so good I forgot to take photos of everything! We usually go for drip coffee which they didn't have but the French press was delicious. The cappuccino and iced lavender matcha were also stand outs. They also have a wide selection of food including breakfast all day. We had an Italian chicken panini and the house special. Everything was so enjoyable, we will be back next time we are in the area. Service was friendly and it's a cute shop right next to the Grove. A+ all around.
$11.24 for a bitter banana milk pumpkin foam iced coffee is absolutely insane. I want to like this place so much but every time I go here the prices get higher and the coffee gets worse.
Stopped in quick for a coffee before painting pottery across the street and was impressed with both the food options and beverages in this adorable lil place. My daughter and I got bacon egg and cheese empanadas, an iced chai tea latte and an iced latte. Everything was delish. The empanadas came with a fantastic chimichurri-ish sauce that I wanted to just eat with a spoon it was so yummy. Service was quick and friendly. If you are anywhere in the area, I absolutely recommend stopping in!
Came in for a quick visit with a friend. The inside was packed with customers which I love to see. The menu is full but for me a little overwhelming to order from. I decided to order a Spanish latte from a smaller menu also a bacon egg and cheese empanada to go. The latte I got was good, it was perfectly sweet but I wish I had more of it. Unfortunately they only have one size for iced and I felt like in 3 sips it was gone. The breakfast empanada was also pretty good I loved the verde salsa its paired with. I would definitely come back for the food options.
Macondo is very good! I love that they have breakfast options with bacon egg and cheese empanadas ! It's my absolute favorite. The coffee is very very smooth. At times it can be a little milky but still great for the Wesley chapel area. Service: can be better They won't open that front door until after 8am and not really welcoming vs when the owner is there. Ambience : I love how they decorated the place and really show their Colombian vibes. Parking easy to find but can get packed due to it being in a mall Overall great spot !
Coffee shops like these just make my heart sing. A cozy, well-decorated and adorable Colombian coffee shop. They have a giant menu, which literally takes up a whole wall behind their coffee bar. So you can kind of get whatever you're in the mood for- a basic breakfast with eggs & sausage, açaí or mixed green bowls, paninis, wraps, salads, empanadas (of course), smoothies, avocado toast, and more. I got a simple breakfast plate that had eggs, potatoes, bacon, and sausage and it was divine. Something about that mix just worked so well. Along with my spanish latte, it was such a nice morning stop. It can get really busy here, and when it's busy it's quite loud. So it's not a sit down and relax quietly type of coffee shop, it's more of a hybrid of a diner & coffee shop.
Great coffee place in the Grove in Wesley Chapel. Lots of people here on a Saturday. Shoppers and younger couples. Strong Columbian coffee and delicious cakes and bread for people who like desserts. I hope to return during the week when it's less crowded
Quaint coffee shop within The Grove that is filled with exudes Latin culture. It's vibrant and welcoming. Glad I randomly stopped by and gave them a try. The staff is very pleasant. It is An option to work as there is wifi available. The food definitely tells a story when you eat it. I particularly enjoyed the pumpkin soup! The presentation of the food is also A+. Check on the avocado! Everything tasted fresh! There are discounts available for those who fall into the categories. Whomp whomp.. unfortunately, nothing for healthcare providers. There is also a happy hour as well. It's a nice, unique addition to the area!
Hands down one of the best breakfast and lunch spots in Wesley Chapel! That La Tierra Bowl does it for me every single time. My husband is a sandwich lover and always gets the Caprese -- never switches it up. The coffee is amazing too, especially if you like it simple like me. Fast service, such a cute vibe, and always a great experience. If you're ever in the area, definitely stop by -- you won't regret it!

Great coffee shop at the Grove. Love coming here when I attend cars/coffee or when shopping in the plaza. The sandwiches are really yummy and the crescent rolls are so fluffy!! The lattes are pretty good and the fresh squeezed OJ is a must try!
The matcha is superior. The coffee is rich, creamy, and absolutely scrumptious. The vegan bowl is my favorite meal (I could eat it everyday for the rest of my life). You can get two empanadas for $5. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. The staff is warm and inviting. Easily the best cafe in the Wesley Chapel area. You have to try their latte's!

What a great place, we come here almost every weekend for a brunch and it's always amazing. Service is friendly, food is always fresh and tasty and ambience is always pleasant. We tried almost everything on a menu and we enjoyed everything. Coffee is great, we always get decaf and they have amazing decaf. Outdoor dining is so pleasant since it's in a shade. Unfortunately seating inside sometimes is hard because people would order a coffee and just seat there for hours doing work. I don't that's appropriate and staff should not allow that. So many times there were no seats and bunch of people doing "work" on laptops while families with kids had nowhere to seat. I don't think it's "work at the cafe" place, people come there to eat mostly and it's weird to see one person with a coffee and a laptop taking up a whole table for an hour while there is a line out of the door of people. Our favorite is avocado toast, sweet and salty and mitiera bowl. read more
This week for my coffee shop Saturday, I chose Macondo because it was later in the day and they have empanadas. Macondo is located in the Grove at Wesley Chapel shopping center across from Old Navy. The service is wonderful and it's super cute inside. There is also outdoor seating. I ordered an Iced Coconut Latte, 3 empanadas and a pastry. The latte was perfect, I wanted a second one. We ordered two different types of Empanadas, 1 Argentine Ham & Cheese, 1 Colombian Chicken & 1 Colombian Beef. They were delicious!! We also ordered Alfajores, a delicious soft cookie. I loved Macondo so much, I might go back again before we leave Tampa. read more

Hands down one of the best breakfast and lunch spots in Wesley Chapel! That La Tierra Bowl does it for me every single time. If you decide to visit this coffee shop, the Spanish latte is an absolute must! So refreshing and tasty. For lunch, I ordered the rustic caprese chicken sandwich. I've never eaten a sandwich in a pocket, but it was delicious. The vibrant colors inside the shop make the vibe nice and bright. It can get quite busy! Great service. read more

The food was really good, but unfortunately the customer service at the register did not match the experience. The cashier was rude, didn't greet us or make us feel welcome, and seemed to rush us while we were ordering. It was our first time there, and no one took the time to explain the menu or help us understand our options. We also ordered coffee to enjoy there, but it was served in a to-go cup without asking us. However, I do want to mention that the girl who brought our food to the table was very kind and attentive, which we really appreciated. Overall, the lack of basic hospitality at the front made the visit feel uncomfortable. I travel all the way from Orlando. Visit was on Friday, 4/2 at around 2:15 PM. read more

This coffee shop is a good place a for doggie and friend dates. Their patio is a good size and it is covered for when it rains and you can be in the shade. I requested a mango cold brew bc I saw it on their Instagram. They had no clue what I was talking about so I showed them. They said it was not available. I ordered a coconut cold brew and then afterwards asked for more coconut syrup. It was ok. I ordered Colombian empanadas which are fried and made with corn. Argentinian ones are also available. Those are baked. I didn't like my chicken empanadas this time. Even with the green sauce, it didn't have much flavor. I've had these empanadas at Colombian restaurants. I've been here a handful of times, but there is definitely much better coffee shops in the area. read more
Coffee is wonderful and makes the wait worth it. Normally that is all we do is get coffee.. Today we decided to try a couple of the breakfast options, we had the Iron Man and Fabio's favorite. On the Iron Man the eggs were really good. The toast which is a partial piece of a baguette was very crispy. the potatoes while cooked right had no flavor whatsoever. The bacon was one of those that you could tell was cooked earlier and then sat and reheated, so the texture was a little weird and the sausage is like mini Polish sausages. On Fabio's favorite the eggs were cooked perfectly, they were a little much on the cheese you had to scrape it off to actually taste the pesto, which was a nice addition. The eggs were kind of flavorless, but they were cooked well which is hard to find anymore. It's kind of pricey for just okay food which is why the 3 stars read more
Stopped in this wonderful little breakfast place for the first time and was blown away by the yummy flavors! The staff is super friendly. You order at the counter. While seating is limited inside, just a few tables there are indoor and outdoor tables available. They make fresh squeezed orange juice. The avocado toast was a winner for me! I can't wait to go back and have it again. They added their own twist and the bread was perfect. read more

Living in Wesley Chapel for the past 4 years, I felt it always lacked great restaurants and outings, which is a shame. However, this cozy little cafe sheds a little light. Despite many trips to Spectrum across the street and seeing this corner packed with customers, I never walked over until today when my neighbor wanted to get together over coffee. I googled "best cafes" and chose this location based on the reviews and pics. When we walked in, we were both taken aback by the cozy, cute decor and smart use of space that the owner put into this corner gem--and that was just the start. The taste of this coffee is wonderfully delicious, with so many different flavors hitting you at the same time. My friend had the cappuccino, and I had an Original Coldbrew with a drop of coconut milk. Wow. My friend was fixated on finding out what was in the coffee to give it such an amazing distinct taste, and I, who has never been impressed by coffee--whether it's Starbucks, Dunkin, Tim Hortons, Dutch Bros, Peets, etc.--was pretty impressed with its flavor. It was also less acidic than other brands. Since I was impressed with the coffee, I figured the food should be just as good--and it was. I ordered the Gabos Wrap, and wham bam, it was freakin' delicious. This has now become a go-to if we ever want coffee or a light, flavorful bite. read more

Warning for those doing carryout: -Online will allow you to order items and pay for them but may not be available at that location (make sure to check your order upon receiving it) -They did not have the guava pancakes, which online let us order and CHARGED us. We were not given any pancakes until we told them it was missing. They then informed us this location did not have those and offered to refund or give us GF pancakes. -Special Instructions also do NOT work (vegetarians/pescatarians or religious folk who do NOT eat pork, often ask that those items are not touching or are separated with parts of the order (so that other family members can still order and enjoy what they want) -Frustratingly, our side of bacon was lying on top of the omelette (the bacon was for another family member and we specifically asked to be put separate in the special instructions that apparently 'don't work'). We were really trying to communicate our order desires as kindly and clearly as possible. What really upset us (and put me over the edge) was, "per the lead cook" asked for the omelette back which was petty and made us feel like it was our fault. My anxiety also furrows... we worry that the bacon and omelette were separated and just returned back to us (which could make some of us really sick as we have not eaten these types of meat products in 15+ years). I am not saying that they did but it certainly makes you uneasy not knowing. We made the effort to communicate this in the instructions but then feel like we are to be blamed for their mistakes. -Positives: the blueberry pancakes, other food and coffee were good. -Tatiana and another gentleman were super nice (this is the ONLY reason for 2 stars as opposed to 1) , they did repeatedly apologize and ended up offering a gift card. Tatiana is very kind and was trying to be as helpful as possible. -The kitchen/cook would get zero stars. Mistakes happen. Technology is wonky sometimes... WE GET IT but the lack of common courtesy with the cook was frustrating. The mistakes were on their side. The cook taking food back just didn't sit right; felt very petty and didn't allow us to have the reassurance that our food was remade rather than just separated. All of this and sitting for another 30 min for a take-out order of breakfast for the family?! We just wanted what we ordered and it turned into a huge ordeal. Lots of grrrrrrrr feelings :/ read more

Coffee was really good. Food was really good. The only issue I had was it was warm and stuffy inside the restaurant. Maybe the AC wasn't working properly that day. Also, there were four or five girls behind the counter but things were moving pretty slow. They also forgot about an empanada we ordered. Seems like for that many people working, it should have moved faster. Overall, quality coffee and breakfast. read more

Excellent coffee drinks. Very friendly service. Fabulous atmosphere. Macondo is a gem. Just north of the Container shopping and across from TJ Max and Old Navy, this is a perfect spot for a morning Joe, brunch or lunch. Today I enjoyed an indulgent iced vanilla latte with cinnamon as well as the avocado toast with eggs and prosciutto. My brunch was very fresh and I was happy with how everything was prepared. The eggs were over easy to medium. The avocado was sliced not mashed which I appreciated. The freshly made pesto was very bright and acidic. I substituted arugula for spinach and thought the peppery greens added to the dish. I will definitely visit here again. read more

This place has the absolute greatest breakfast I've ever had in my life. My second day in a row here and i plan to make it a weekend tradition with my family. My only complaint is they better either get a bigger place or start making nasty food because this place is way too small to have food this delicious. once people catch on to this place the lines will be triple wrapped around the building. And the food came to our table quick. Oh and a side note, i absolutely love and appreciate that the music isn't obnoxiously loud and the place isn't freezing cold like every other restaurant in the entire Wesley chapel. Small things that customers appreciate. People don't go pay someone to feed them at their establishment to be uncomfortable. read more

From the moment I walked into Macondo's, I felt at home. I grew up going to Colombia and loving the food, culture, everything, so this place felt super special. The service, the ambiance, the food, everything was amazing! I trusted the workers to give me their recommendation of their favorite coffees and foods, and every dish that was recommended was incredible. This will quickly become my favorite spot in Wesley Chapel and I'm already ready to go back and try more stuff! read more
