    Cheese cachito and chicken empanada
    Buse C.

Oh my baked heaven...it was our first time trying Don Pan. We mentioned it was our first time here and the gentlemen behind the counter was so helpful. Explained what they have and the details of what's in it. He said everything was made fresh and asked how I typically like my coffee and whipped it together himself with their batch of coffee specially made for their bakery. What we ordered: Tequeños - basically a fried breaded cheese stick...SO GOOD it was our fav. Cheese Cachito - similar to a croissant as it's flakey but it also has a sweetness to it and stuffed with cheese - our second fav. Chicken Empanada - great flavor but a little dry Guava & cheese danish - perfection and great sweet snack after all the savory. We will definitely be back!

Looks beautiful but taste like dry old "cake" inside

I really enjoy the individual items, so why not buy a birthday cake there as well? Learned the hard way, the beautiful cakes are visually pleasing but dry as a cardboard. Not sure why it's so dry, maybe it's been sitting there for weeks or they forgot an ingredient, but don't waste your money buying bigger cakes from there.

Even though I was told that Don Pan was permanently closed, is not, they only close on Tuesdays. Don Pan has the best Cafe con leche, fresh Latin pastries, and Cuban breakfast sandwiches in the area!

    Best pastries!!!!

We have been coming here for years! And even when they're super busy you get your food quick. The coffee is delicious and the pastry is even better! We recently moved a little further out but we still make the drive for the yummy food!!!!

Tiramisu on the left, flan on the right

Let me be clear. This little cafe has so much potential. It has the feel of Mom & Pop shop. And one of the hardest worker behind the counter-- seriously she is a one woman show. She makes all the food, takes orders, makes drinks, etc etc. While being friendly. That's hard. I really love their pan de Bono. Never had it before and heard of it, but this little Colombian sweet round bread really captured my heart. That being said, now the improvements needed section: This place needs help! Seriously you have to wait 15+ minutes because there is only one person behind the counter. All I wanted were those oan de bonos and coffee and I waited 15 min just to order. Now the coffee..I wish they offered drip coffee. I asked if they had any and the said hard worker convinced me to get their con de leche and black coffee versions of them. They were 3.75 each. I didn't enjoy them as much for the price point and again, how long I had to wait for the said "drip-like" coffee which were really Americanos. Last time we were here less than a month ago, I got a tiramisu and a flan. In comparison to the pan de Bono, they fell short. They didn't taste that special than what I'd get at a supermarket bakery. So, entonces! Come for pan de Bono, when you have a lot of time to spare.

    Cubano/Cuban Sandwich

I was wanting a sandwich for lunch today to watch the football games and a few places I craved were closed. Then I remembered Don Pan made Cubans and that's what I wanted. Went there and ordered one, the guys there were friendly and the pork on the sandwich was incredible. This was such a good Cuban sandwich without having to go all the way down to South Tampa area

Don Pan is among my preferred grab and go breakfast place. If your are an espresso coffee lover, then see the coffee chart and tryout the Venezuelan style variety. "Tequeños" are just cheese sticks from heaven. If you like ham, and you want a decent fast breakfast, then "Cachito" with ham or ham cheese could be your choice. I have never experience anything wrong with food quality and service.

Went to the office depot next store and saw this bakery. The only one I knew was in Tampa and being that I don't live that way, I haven't been in a longgggg time. When I saw them I had to get my pan de queso loaf!!!! And for only $5!!! Warm. Fresh. Delicious. Customer service was great. Location was clean and inviting. It smelled amazing. I'm happy!!!! Check them out.

U think this looks good. It is old and dry ugh and I love sweets and cant eat this.

Welcoming. bright, clean (Ohmygosh, it's spotless in there), with so many nods to Cuba in the decor-and of course, the menu. I didn't study the options before dropping in on a whim, so I'm sure had a deer in the headlights look as I studied the large menu. The kind man at the counter told me the whole menu was available all day. That's excellent-but uh oh, more choices! After going round and round, I settled on a bacon, egg and cheese pressed sandwich -and got it on Cuban toast-which is always good, everywhere you go-but this was especially yum. (that crunch-the butttery ripples running through it. Ohhh my) I wish I could have stayed and enjoyed it there-the couches were so comfy! But I had to take it with me. No worries, tho'. This huge (and I mean HUGE) and perfectly wrapped sandwich stayed warm all the way home. The bacon and egg were both so well cooked-I'll get it without cheese next time. Those are words I've never typed before-but the bread, bacon and egg need all the spotlight. They're sublime. I thought this sandwich was a great value, considering the size and quality. I liked the cheerful interior. There's plenty of parking. And the location sits along Bruce B Downs in New Tampa-right at the foot of the on-ramps to I-75 north and south. It couldn't be any more convenient. They have a reward program and a coffee menu that so many with love. I'll spin back up there and dine in next time. There's lots of great space to chill out and enjoy.

Their ropa vieja is so flavorful, it is the best I've ever had. The fried pork I ordered today was mediocre. I would not order it again.
