I used Google to find a bakery near me and found this little place off Hanley road. Inside the smells were appealing so I decided to buy several treats. Tres Leche Cake, Guava Cream Cheese , Chocolate Pastry Eclair, and Chicken and Beef Empanadas. The Eclair was the favorite.Think of the dessert you know now in a flakey .tasty shell. The Guava was good and we had mixed opinions on the cake. Parts of it were amazing, the cake was a little gritty in texture. The Empanadas were outstanding, both were flavorful and I would know I will stop here again when I am in the area. Beibg very reasonably priced is a plus

The best little hidden gem! I got the Pasteur with cream cheese and jelly. It's sounds so simple but it was amazing!! I can't wait to comeback and try some sweets!! They even have little cups of cream brûlée I spotted among the homemade sweets!! This is the pastry with cream cheese and jelly! So delicious and fresh homemade!

Upon waking in you can see and smell all the goodness!! I could definitely get into major trouble in this bakery! Everything looks incredible and delicious and I just want 1 of everything lol. Holding myself back from doing that, so I ordered a croissant which I loved. It's so soft and fresh. Was even good the next day! I'll definitely be back here.

Friendly service, delicious guava pastries and wonderful coffee. Properly sugared and thoroughly caffeinated I was ready to attack the day.

Anytime we're going on a day trip, or out to the beach or a park for lunch, we stop here to pick up a cup of fresh-squeezed orange juice (though once the oranges in our backyard get ripe we'll be cutting that out) & a Cuban Cafe con Leche, & maybe some empanadas or flan or pastries. They've got guava cheese pastries, cookies, cakes, rolled jelly cake, cupcakes, custard fruit cups, Cuban bread, Puerto Rican bread, empanadas, croquettes, other tasty-looking fried things that I can't identify... The staff all speaks Spanish & that's the first language you'll be greeted with, but they speak English, too. They don't smile much, but they're helpful.

Yum! Meat pies , arepas, empanadas, and more!

I stumbled upon this coffee shop by chance and decided to give it a try. Boy, am I glad I did! As…read moresoon as I walked in, I noticed the lovely and tasteful decor. The coffee shop is actually connected to some kitchen store and there is a nice little gift shop to browse while you wait on your beverage being prepared. The line to order was to the door, but the staff took orders quickly and efficiently. I'm a huge fan of drip coffee and always judge a coffee shop by how they prepare this simple, yet flavorful beverage. The Perfect Press Coffee lives up to its name- their drip coffee is smooth, bold, and flavorful. I love it!

Inside this winding housing development, you'll find a small shopping plaza-gasoline on one end, dry cleaners on the other... and in between those bookends, a string of small businesses. And behind the door with all the flowers around it: Perfect Press Coffee. It's a hopping and popping kind of place. I've been there twice in the last year-and it's busy. It's a fun mix of neighborhood moms with strollers-people stopping on the way to or from work-and a few remote work workers-who thrive in the happy buzz of a booming business. To the right when you walk in: coffee, tea and sweet and/or savory small bites. There's bench seating along the wall, several small tables and two little couches in the middle. The decor is cute, cozy, modern and slightly caffeinated. It's not a huge place but it's super popular. There are tables out front on the sidewalk, too. It's busy, but the skilled baristas keep things moving. On this most recent trip, I tried the ube matcha-my first. I liked it! There were lots of tempting pastries, etc-but I had a lunch date coming up, so I stuck to just the beverage. If you decide to stop in, bonus: this business shares space with a fun kitchen store that has everything from gourmet salts and oils-fun towels and mugs-and all sorts of other items. I should have bought the cola flavored candy bar. Next time! Yes, the parking lot is a little hectic-but be patient, it comes and goes in waves-you'll get a spot. Oh! And really nice restrooms. This is worth a stop and shop. I'll be back for round three.

I had the opportunity to stop by last week with some co-workers while we were all running low on some caffeine and was extremely happy with finding Leads Coffeehouse. Located where some might call the "Cusp of South Tampa" (no - actually, no one calls it that and realistically it's only self-proclaimed branding is what's happening here), Leads Coffeehouse is right off North Himes Avenue, paralleling the main drag of Dale Mabry. It does seem like it's in the neighborhood cuts, but that is arguably a part of the appeal of Leads Coffee. The shop does not make itself apparent - whether you're driving by or deliberately looking for it. The signs seem to indicate a Guzman Law Firm, along with Networking Leads - which seem to be some sort of co-working space. However, if you look closely at the sign - you will notice the coffeehouse in fine print. Even as you are walking up, the coffeehouse appears hidden in plain sight - almost like a speakeasy, but for coffee, i.e. legalized crack for daywalkers. There is a parking lot for the venue, however the spaces are rather limited. Inside, you will find a very inviting space with home-y decor and color palettes to match. The seating appears very conducive for study and small work gatherings. Aside from that, I found the postal card mailbox extremely interesting and I will definitely come back here to take advantage of this offering. There is a "traditional" coffee menu with specialized drinks, along with a seasonal bevvie list. Additionally, you can order small eats and baked goods. The baristas and servers are extremely friendly and welcoming. Overall, Leads Coffeehouse is ultimately a great coffee shop to bring friends, family, and co-workers to share company with!

May I suggest: So when I've looked at my previous updated…read morereview, it's so shocking to see how long ago it was. Even more shocking still is when the first review was--nearly 10 years ago! I'm happy to say, that ten years later, I'm still a fan and a regular. Staying power indeed! More than just a coffee house, they feature great breakfast and lunch items. My personal faves are still the low-carb scramble, when you don't feel like all that extra bread, and their French toast--when you want bread and then some! I'll say this about their French toast--as it's classic as you're going to get. Four golden slices of perfectly battered pieces of toast smothered in syrup. Nothing extra, no frills. Just that pure French toast as its finest--and as I often say if basic is done right it doesn't need to be messed with (unless you are feeling like something extra, then by all means!). They're also one of the only coffeehouses I know who does have Amaretto and Macadamia flavors on hand. My fave is the Amaretto latte (hot) or I go for White Chocolate Macadamia for something a little different. Staff here is great, always friendly and greeting me with a smile--some I've known for maybe those nine or ten years! A neighborhood fave for sure! Nowadays I only eat outside because Muffin is now a constant guest who comes along with me as part of the tradition. Luckily there's always plenty of outdoor seats!
