The crew (Chris and 1 other gentlemen) arrived within the scheduled window and were finished loading my stuff within an hour. Everything was strapped down correctly and the inventory sheet was amended to add some items I left out on the online questionnaire. Unloading the stuff was just as fast despite heavy rain and only a couple of our items got wet enough to need be dried in the dryer. Definitely a fair price and would use them again in a heartbeat. They made several phone calls to let me know their arrival status and was available at last minute (since I was in a pinch from the previous moving company). They gave me an estimated time of arrival and as time went on they gave me updates and ended up being early. When they showed up they were personable and friendly. I only needed loading help and we discussed the best way to load everything and making sure nothing got damaged during the move to San Diego. They packed everything in like an intricate puzzle and took very good care of my property. One of my fears with unknown labor is how they will handle your stuff. No worries with these guys. They display the upmost care and professionalism. I'm only giving 4 stars because they are quite a bit more expensive than other companies I found online which I mentioned to them. They advised me to be wary of other companies with lower rates as they have several hidden charges that their other clients had advised them (like charge per item loaded, per step, etc.) Overall, I was very pleased with their service. They called me back said they'd be 30-45 min late. But it was an 1.5 hrs later. I wouldn't have cared if they told me ahead of time that it was going to be that late. Then it took 2 guys, 10 hours to load and unload 800 sq ft 1 bed/1bath/1desk apt. Except they left behind paintings, mirrors, my computer, random containers and items and didn't tell me till they arrived at my new apartment. My one bedroom set, full living room, 1bathroom, and a desk started at 10:30am-9pm. That's with me re-assembling my bed to free up the other guy to go help out his counterpart. My $2,700 Restoration Hardware Custom Upholstered white bed has dirty handprints everywhere. And they left a lot of things behind at the old place to save time- without asking me if that was okay. I really wanted to love the experience since it was highly recommended by a friend but I'm pissed off that I paid $1,000 just to move stuff by myself that they left afterwards. And not counting everything I moved in my own truck to help them finish up faster. Moving with elevators is tricky so they did try the best they could but sometimes you gotta know when you've bitten off more than you can chew. Y'all need to call for help when a 3-4 hr move turns into almost 10 hrs! This is total bull. Not happy. Not recommending them to anyone I know. I'm seriously considering calling up my credit card company to file a dispute. This whole experience was wrong and has made me feel like I got conned. Because I was getting a pod and did not have the delivery time, Kevin scheduled me for between 1-5pm. I got a call a about 1230 and two guys arrived at 230. The guys were great! They carefully wrapped everything up and secured most of my items into the pod. They were there for three hour at $140 an hour. These two young kids even moved a really heavy outdoor fireplace and heavy appliances. Since I moved out of town, I hope I never have to call them up for help again. But the movers showed up 35 minutes late and did not call to say that they would be late until 25 after their scheduled time. The two movers we had did not wrap our dressers or do anything to keep the drawers from falling open, which made them over slower and scratched the walls. They didn't have the right tools to take our bed apart or didn't know how to because it took them forever. At the end, they could not take our credit card for payment because the person who takes the number over the phone wasn't answering so my boyfriend had to drive around looking for an ATM.
