Now that I have unpacked almost all of our boxes and arranged most of the rooms, I can whole-heartedly say, MOVING MACHINE ROCKS!!! Not a single item, box, piece of furniture, wall, door, or any other belonging OR my new home, was damaged in the move. If you've ever moved before, you know that is unheard of! (and if you haven't ever moved before, I hate you for it!) From the very first contact we had with the owners/employees of Moving Machine, things ran extremely easy, smooth, and in a very professional manner. I demand proper communication with any service I pay for. After being completely stood up and blown off by another moving company, I found these guys. They made several phone calls to let me know their arrival status and was available at last minute (since I was in a pinch from the previous moving company). They gave me an estimated time of arrival and as time went on they gave me updates and ended up being early. When they showed up they were personable and friendly. I only needed loading help and we discussed the best way to load everything and making sure nothing got damaged during the move to San Diego. They packed everything in like an intricate puzzle and took very good care of my property. One of my fears with unknown labor is how they will handle your stuff. No worries with these guys. They display the upmost care and professionalism. I'm only giving 4 stars because they are quite a bit more expensive than other companies I found online which I mentioned to them. They advised me to be wary of other companies with lower rates as they have several hidden charges that their other clients had advised them (like charge per item loaded, per step, etc.) Overall, I was very pleased with their service. Awesome movers! They arrived on time and get to work immediately. They were careful with all of our items and I was very pleased with the fact that I ended up paying less than anticipated (quoted for 4 hours but the guys finished in 2). Lucky us we have to move again in a few months (oh joy) but I definitely want the same crew to do my move (Dustin and Chase). They even impressed my husband who is normally hard to please :-) One more thing, yes they are on the expensive side but it is flat rate and no other surprises. Some other place might have a lower rate but they charge for petty items like furniture pads, fees for going up the stairs etc. So please consider that before you dismiss MM and plus seeing how efficient they are, you will be surprise how you end up paying less than what you thought! read more

I was referred to ATX mover/moving machine by a friend and work colleague. So high was her recommendation that I happily booked them. In addition I referred them to another coworker who raves about the service he got. Plus it's veteran owned and as a Corp recruiter I make a point to diversify my candidates with individuals who protect our freedoms. So I really wanted to love this company. However my experience was the most stressful experience moving to date. I am female moving alone as my family is out of town. I couldn't be in 2 places at once so I made the mistake of trusting the guys to pack me up without being watched. First they left a bunch of m electronic devices and my garbage can at the old apt which I had to recover myself. No big deal... I could deal with that. My TVs were not packed properly. When the guy brought them in he stacked sat it in a random place on the floor. The more I tried to direct them the more thing s just went wherever they wanted to drop them. Then one of the movers placed my tv stand awkwardly on its side. The stand fell into one of my tvs and put a hole in the screen. The guy then tried to convince me it was fine ans even plugged it into the wall. It's not fine it has scratches and a hole poked in it. At that point they started trying to leave at every opportunity. When I booked the move the young lady who confirmed my move assured me that they could maneuver around the walking in the domain and that thy had done it before. They had not and did not and took over 2 hours to pack the truck for a 1 bedroom with just a disposal of a bed and couch. Smallest move they had ever done they said. It took them another hour to drive 13 minutes to my new location. I was also assured when I booked that they could move some packages from my leasing office to my new apt, set up my new bed and hook up my washer and dryer while placing the apt units in storage for me on site. The guys indicated they did not get those directions. They refused to put together the bed siting that they would have to charge me additional time and they had another move to do. The washer and dryer was not hooked up. As a matter of fact my dryer is full of water and my washer has no water. How is that even possible? One star for them for waiving the travel and ending my time 30 minutes before they left although I imagine the whole cracking of my tv and pretend W/D plus the hour it took for travel probably in theory left me with an over payment but the straw that broke the canals back??? The owner called me stating that both movers claimed I bumped into my own tv stand that was sitting on its side that fell into the tv. They also claimed they overheard me say as much to my insurance company. Well I never said that and my insurance company records all calls. Sooo in summary: 1. They say they are 100% insured and bonded. On move day they inform You that this is only 60 cents per pound of each item. 2. Be prepared to stand over them and instruct them how to pack your valuables and correct them when they put your items on its side and just leave it standing there like gravity is not an issue. 3. Be prepared not to have them properly install, put together anything 4. If You're on a swanky apt that has rules and forces them to not have a straight shot just pass them up all together. They can't handle it. 5. Triple check your belongings before they leave. I swear every time I attempt to get pass this I find something else done improperly and negligent. As for me I've filed a claim with my insurance. Mickey wants to come to my apt next week and check out my tv. Everyone was very nice until Branden cracked a whole in my TV. I have never had a good experience with movers and this might be my first not awful experience. Two young guys came, they were almost an hour late, but we weren't quite ready for them and they called to let us know ahead of time. The guys didn't sketch me out like I expect from a local moving co. And they weren't super fast, but didn't go slow to charge more time. They prorate each hour and bc we helped move stuff also they have us a $50 discount off the price. found out they didn't bang much of my furniture up, but one book case did get a few paint scratched that can't be fixed or covered up which is upsetting since it's still new. Again nothing outstanding but if you've had issues with movers before I think they are a safe bet. read more

I was recommended to use moving machine by a friend that had a wonderful experience :) So the company was professional and easy to book. They worked off of a shorter notice (about a week) and they have pads and a dolly. There are no hidden fees like most of them. The guys that came were really nice and professional. This was all a definite plus. And their rates are better than most. Very reasonable. The downside - they finished a job early so wanted to come 3.5 hours early, but that wasn't possible so they were 2.5 hours late without calling. (they did call me back after I called twice) They did a good job, but then they took 45 minutes to fill up their truck with gas, etc. in the middle of the move and charged me for that time - when it should have been deducted. I also felt the guys worked a little slow - as movers go - but it's like 9 pm at this point (rather than the midday move I had planned) so... I'm sure they were tired. read more

My experience with Moving Machine was great. A little atypical that they use a trailer, rather than the moving truck, but I think it actually makes them much more efficient. Plus the price is great! They took time and care to wrap all of the valuables but were also very effective in their use of time. Moving Machine did an awesome job during our move. We had bad weather the morning of the move and Dustin kept me updated on when they'd be arriving once conditions got better. Once they arrived they got right to work and I was impressed with the care they took of our belongings. They were fast and efficient even though they were moving us from one two-story house to another. They were friendly and made our moving experience fairly effortless on our part. Well, I am sorely disappointed. Since I had such a great experience with Moving Machine the first time, I called them when my friend wanted to move. Unfortunately, one of the guys mismanaged a piece of furniture and ended up splitting the wood in several places. The employee then lied about how this happened. We called Dustin to rectify the situation. It took a couple of weeks to hear back. He eventually agreed to reimburse us for up to $200 to fix one of the splits. At this point, we didn't realize that the other side was also split. Once we had a carpenter fix the split, we attempted to contact Dustin repeatedly. He hasn't contacted us about the reimbursement for over five months. I am very sad to report that this service is way below par. Obviously, Moving Machine does not want to let their insurance know that they have had an incident. I find the whole thing dishonest and disrespectful. Buyer beware. read more

I've used Moving Machine on at least 5 moves, if not more. They showed up on time, took care of my things, and were pleasant to deal with. Their pricing was fair and they didn't nickel & dime me on extras. The best thing I can say about them is that their movers are normal guys. The other companies I've used in the past have hired some real crackheads, and that's just not the case with Moving Machine. Their movers were polite and efficient. I had a sectional that my wife and I were physically unable to move. I went to yelp, these guys were second on the list. The first didn't answer their phone and I'm glad they didn't. Got ahold of them right away and explained my situation and they said they were on their way to a job, but were just finishing filling up with gas right by my house. They came over right away and helped me out. My couch was safely moved where I needed it (up a flight of stairs with two 90 degree bends) less than an hour from when I called. He also charged me a great rate. I would recommend these guys to anyone with furniture moving needs. read more

These guys did a great job. We moved from a 1 bedroom first floor apartment to a two-story house about 15 minutes away. We had them move all of our furniture and large items while we moved the small boxes/clothes up ourselves. They arrived on time (early, actually!) and were done in less than 2 hours. The biggest challenge for them was moving a sleeper sofa into our upstairs loft... up stairs with a 180 degree bend in our home. At first, they were unsure they could do it, but they carried it vertically and made it (with no marks on the walls)! I hope to not be moving again anytime soon, but whenever we do, definitely calling these guys and recommending them to everyone I know. They were friendly, the most reasonably priced I found and responsive/flexible when I called to schedule. Do yourself a favor and hire them now! read more

We hired Moving Machine based on a recommendation from a friend for our local move in Round Rock. We are very pleased with them. The thing I really liked about Moving Machine is that they charge a flat rate by the hour- not per the item like the other two movers I had give us quotes. I completely underestimated the amount of stuff we had to move. I hired a two man crew and I really should have gone for the three man crew. However, they still delivered! It took all day and they worked really hard. We appreciated their work and gave a good tip. Everything went as well as can be expected while moving. They worked efficiency, packed the trailer efficiently and all of our stuff made it to the new house fine. On the whole it ended up costing less than the quotes I got from the other two movers. Just a heads up that they don't take credit cards so be prepared with check or cash. I recommend Moving Machine. read more

Have used them twice. Once to move some smaller items then they did such a great job had them move all the large furniture to my new house. They had an earlier move that day that went considerably over, they kept me informed throughout. They still kept their promise to get me moved that day. All be told, they ended up working past midnight on my move without stopping to complete my move. On both occasions they were all business. I found the magnet on my door when I moved in. The the magnet said moving machine not not ATX movers who my receipt came from. The arrival time was as I asked for, and they were nice. I needed to move stuff from my garage to the third floor apartment. One of the men asked me to decide everything that needed to be moved. Then they moved the stuff from the garage to the stairs of the apartment. It only took 45 minutes to get all of my stuff moved and upstairs. I still had an hour left because there is a 2 hour minimum. Instead of asking if there was anything else I needed, I was handed the bill. I asked if we could hook up the clothes washer. I only had one line ,one was misplaced in the move. He gladly hooked it up. I think they should have asked if there was anything else they could do... I should have stood my ground and said that I could find more things to bring up stairs. After they left I kept hearing water running and I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. After searching I finally found that the washer was not connected properly the floor was soaking wet. I was not as bothered by the wet floor rather than I had to still move stuff upstairs when I had paid for a two hour service. *My word of caution is make sure that you have everything in mind and ready because once you say that is it, THAT IS IT! read more

We had a somewhat complicated move since half of our stuff was going into storage and the other half into a third story apartment while our house was being built. Both guys understood exactly what needed to be done and how to do it most efficiently. They showed up exactly on time and immediately went to work. It sounds like another reviewer had the same crew I did with all the damages reported around the same time. They have not received their reimbursement either. You said you mailed two separate checks on two separate occasions and I did not receive either one. I give people the benefit of the doubt when ever possible, but I can't believe our Postal Service is that bad. As I said you were not less expensive than other movers I went based a good recommendation from another trusted neighbor- lesson learned. read more
