I used Accurate Firefighter Movers in May of 2012, and they were phenomenal. They were on time, professional, hard working, and very personable. Moving is not fun but these guys had a great sense of humor despite the heat and apartment to apartment move up stairs. They took great care of my bulky antique bedroom furniture and were great about wrapping my stuff and packing their truck well, so that nothing was damaged. I would HIGHLY recommend AFM for your next move. They are competitively priced and their experience, personalities, customer service, and included equipment makes them a no brainer! read more

Bad experience. First they showed up late due to a manpower scheduling issue. But then they charged me for the lost time anyway, and 3 weeks later we received a refund. Damaged our dining room table, and Owner acknowledged that damage, but could not or would not have it repaired. Turns out it could not be repaired (abrasions and scuff marks on the top). Refused to reimburse anything but $110 ($1 per pound??), hiding behind TxDOT regulations, then refused to pay the settlement agreement for over 3 months until we filed a complaint with TxDOT. Would not return phone calls, texts or e-mails. None of our crew were firefighters. The owner might be. Accurate also lost a few items, which they did find a few days later. We would not recommend them (because of the owner). read more

We received 2 quotes for our move from Sun City to The Hacienda (about 1 mile). Accurate was the low bidder, so we went with them. They arrived on time and and did a good job packing and we didn't observe any breakage. The problem is that when they presented us with the bill, it was 67% more that their estimate. They said they did not expect to do that much packing. Thier competitor's estimate for "packing materials" was almost the same as Accurate's actual billing. Plus they requested a gratuity 0f 15% to 20% on the materials and fully loaded labor. At 20%, this gratuity would amount to almost $600. They also deliverd a big chair that was marked to stay at the house. When I called them, I was told that they would be glad to pick it up and deliver it to our house. I was told that they would contact me to set-up a time to pick it up. When they didn't contact me, I called back, I and got a recording and left a message. I have tried to contact them over 5 more times, got a recording, left a message and I still have yet to hear from them (one month later). read more

Be aware. I was promised a $95 an hour rate. When they got there it was 147.00 because they had a 3rd guy. I guess the cheaper rate is just to hook you. They also lost the legs to 3 stools and we only moved 4 miles. read more

I had called to get an estimate about moving, they did not return my call! Finally I text them, they did not return my text! Then in the text I would I said is this an open business because why aren't you answering people! Then finally somebody replied, made up some excuse about not answering for a week the phone at a business! Then I proceeded on giving them a chance and they gave me an estimate told him what I needed of the move date and everything, to now a third party is going to be the one paying for it! So I proceeded to tell accurate firefighters movers to text or email me so I can have the estimate written down cuz she already gave it to me one on the phone and in an email! So the third party that was going to pay for the move called accurate firefighter movers and ask for the bottom line how much it was going to cost to move and the money you know how much it was! Akron firefighters said we don't know when she's going to move and we don't have a bottom line pay we'll have to tell you later! Oh no they know that moving date and they told me an estimate but then it changed when it got to the person it was going to pay for it what they were going to try to do is charge me five or six seven hundred dollars just to move and then later on tag more money at the end! Bottom line please don't use this place first of all they don't even answer the phone calls! And they have a Google review of three! Please don't use these people they were ripping off and they'll destroy your things cuz I seen that another Google review! I already got somebody else and they're much better we got a bottom line pay there's not going to be no extra charges later this is a horrible place accurate firefighter movers do not use them, if you do you'll be sorry you did! read more

I also did not have a good experience with Accurate Firefighter Movers. The guys did show up to help us move, and as previously agreed, they charged by the hour. Unfortunately, they moved slowly during the move and when reassembling the bedroom furniture. During the move, they damaged some furniture trying to squeeze the furniture through the front door. I get it, furniture sometimes gets damaged during a move... but our 2yr leather sofa was torn in the corners and it was not acceptable. I reached out to Jeremy Hobratsch (owner, I think) for assistance in repairing the damaged furniture. After multiple pleas for his help and support to repair the damaged items, he did nothing to help with the repairs-instead he sent me a nasty e-mail and "ran away" from any ownership. I would absolutely think twice before using this moving company! read more

My realtor recommended Accurate Firefighters, and I couldn't be happier with them. They did an amazing job. They were professional, nice, fast, well coordinated, and came in under the estimated cost! No damage or anything negative to report. Next time I move, these are the guys I'll hire, and I would recommend them to anyone! read more

I had problems with a missing crate of files that I could not find in storage or the house and needed and still can't find. I could not find electrical cords with the computers and had to reorder on Amazon. I was sick when I moved. Found the remote for the TV. Couldn't erase review on Yelp so I addend. But they don't steal, they come on time, things arrive intact. They delivered to new house, storage and took things to the Caring Place so they did what they said they would do. I was distraught because I moved in ill and needed the office set up immediately and that didn't happen until I reordered cords and the Computer Club helped set me up. Perhaps your situation will go better if you take business papers and cords with you. I can recommend them for another move. read more

I used this company for a move to our new residence. They showed up on time, were very considerate and polite, and handled all our furniture and boxes in a professional manner. I cannot think of the smallest complaint to make. These guys are professionals and care about the job they do. We won't move again (hopefully); but if we did, this is who I would use. How can you not trust first responders? They measure up in every way. read more

I have had the most positive and smooth moving experience ever. Accurate Firefighter Movers and the team they sent me completely surpassed all my expectations. I highly recommend them and the team I had of Brandon, Blake, and Derek. They were nothing short of amazing. I simply can't say enough. Will use and recommended them at every opportunity. read more

Accurate Firefighter Movers based out of Hutto were tremendous! Abbey answered all of my questions and set up the schedule. The two hardworking guys that came were on time, friendly and careful. They moved our things without one ding or scrape. These are the best movers I've ever had and I have relocated a lot. Give 'me a call and give 'em your business. You won't be disappointed. 5+ stars. read more

These guys were PHENOMENAL!! I asked for two guys to come out and they moved almost my entire 3 bedroom home in a little over 4 hours. And they just weren't quick, they were courteous, personable, and extremely helpful!! They saved us so much stress and headache! Thank you so much!!! read more

I was so impressed with these guys. They showed up right on time, worked quickly but carefully to move my stuff from storage to an apt. Very professional, courteous and got the job done. No nonsense pricing-everything was just as promised. I would use again and will definitely recommend them!! read more

I have never personally used them but as a manager of a self storage facility MANY of my tenants have and I have never once heard of a single negative. I like them because they are fast, efficient, and leave my facility just as clean as when they arrived. The most professional moving company I've ever come across. read more

On time. Friendly. Fast. Professional. I was quoted a 5 hour move with 3 guys, but there we able to get it done in about 3.5 and was only charged for the time used. They guys were friendly and took extra care of my belongings as if it were their own. Great sense of humor made the whole move quick and easy. When we arrived at my new place the guys were actually RUNNING back to the truck after they dropped off a load. Highly recommend this group for your next move! read more

As a former FDNY Paramedic, I always try to support my fellow first responders. I must say the folks from Accurate Firefighter Movers are awesome. They were polite, neat, quick and respectful. They treated my stuff like their stuff and made our more painless. They are also reasonably-priced and very flexible with their availability. I will use them again! read more

I used Accurate Firefighters Movers in 2019 for a move of about 15 miles and could not have been happier. Not one damaged or lost item. Something happened between then and now. We were trying to save money on a cross country move from Liberty Hill, Texas, to Virginia, and hired them to pack and load it onto a U-Pack trailer. When we unpacked the boxes at our new house, we discovered more damage than any move we've ever had, and I spent 20 years moving in the Air Force. Practically every piece of furniture was either scratched, gouged, scuffed, or had missing pulls or feet. Clothes on hangers were dumped in the bottom of wardrobe boxes, not hung. Unwrapped odds and ends were then thrown on top. Pictures were not individually wrapped but stacked against each other, wedged against other items in wardrobe boxes. We found only ONE wrap in the entire shipment. Several items never got to destination. At the same time, the kitchen was packed professionally - it was like there were two companies at work here. But the biggest surprise came when we filed a claim for damage; their insurance does not apply unless they also transport the goods! So, if you're moving cross country, you can choose to pay the big bucks with a major carrier who does it all and insures it, or save several thousand dollars with a U-Haul truck or U-Pack trailer. But if you choose the latter and can't pack it yourself, call somebody else - not them. read more

Used them the first time they were fine but the did do some damage and said nothing. We saw it the next day. Then we called for a price but they never bothered to return the call. Our job was TOO SMALL apparently. read more

We moved into an apartment and Accurate Firefighters picked our home up and stuffed in a rental unit. When we received it at our home several months later, expensive furniture was broke. There was a leg broke off. A $5,000 dining room table was scratched badly. We are elderly and they left late at night but forgot to take upstairs over two dozen very heavy boxes. When I complained to Jeremy Hobratsch, the owner, he wrote a letter and said, "I have talked to my staff and asked them to be more careful in the future. They are polite on the phone, but they do not take care of expensive items. Oh, I had a gun safe also and it was as though they turned it over and over. The guns that are expensive. They are damaged badly with scratches on the barrell's and on the wooden stock. There was no concern for what damage they did to our items other than, "I will talk to my staff and make sure they are more careful in the future!" read more

These guys are amazing. They were helpful, friendly, efficient and honest. I would highly recommend using this moving company any time.

I have used these movers twice now and they made the experience very pleasant. From the sweet girl at the office that coordinates everything to the movers that arrive when they say they will be there, I could not have asked for a better experience. They are very professional, take care when moving items, and work very quickly! I highly recommend them! read more

This week my mom hired Accurate Firefighter Movers for the second time. She had used them years ago on her last move and was so pleased she hired them again. Andrew & Brandon arrived promptly on time, worked hard with cheery attitudes from the first hour to the last (including delivering a piano from Georgetown to Circle C and navigating elevators at Longhorn Village Retirement Community), delivered lots of dark wood furniture plus cream-colored couch/chairs without a single scratch, nick, or smudge. They were conscientious, extremely polite, and clearly cared about doing the job with excellence. The whole process provided both my mom and me a great deal of peace and relief. Reasonable price and definitely money well spent. Thank you, Andrew, Brandon, & Accurate Firefighter Movers! read more

I could not recommend these guys enough...best movers I've ever used. They assisted us with our 3rd move in the Round Rock/Leander are over the past year and they were by far the best movers we used. Unfortunately for us, we used them the last time. The 4 guys were professional, friendly, and extremely careful with all of our belongings. they even help to fix a broken piece of furniture that previous movers damaged and wouldn't repair. If you are in need of movers, do not look any further and give these guys a call!! read more

We have used this company five times in the Austin area. They have always been respectful, hard working, and put customer service first. We moved from Austin to Dallas and used Accurate once again. The two hard working gentlemen who showed up where great as usual. Brandon who I will now call Yoda. Derrick who I will refer to as a young Skywalker showed up and got right to work. Yoda and young Skywalker loaded all our stuff in light speed coming under the expected time. The next day they jumped in their truck first thing, left Austin, and arrived by 9:15am. Yoda used the forced and guided young Skywalker, and in no time had everything unloaded. They helped set up beds, tables, TV's. They must of used the force pretty well cause there wasn't a small scratch to be found anywhere. Once again came under the estimated time, and saved us some money. In all seriousness this company is amazing. Moving is stressful enough, but Accurate takes a lot of that pressure away. I recommend that when you use Accurate movers, request Brandon, the Yoda of movers. Also Derrick, young Skywalker who will have full grasp of the moving force working with Brandon in no time. read more

You'd be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't use these guys! Great guys and great service! They sure did take care of my family.

A very frustrating experience. Make sure you request a crew of "central Texas firefighters" as they claim on their website. I was sent a crew of young, disorganized college students. They moved at a slow to moderate pace, at best. One of the crew members was busy texting and slacking. There did not seem to be a boss of this group and it took them forever. I ran over budget and cut the move short when they finally arrived at my house. Most boxes were left in the garage and the furniture unassembled. A "discussion" with the owner afterward left me even more angry than after the move. They did not deliver what was promised on their website, which I would call false advertising. read more

I'd never used a moving company before my recent move so I wasn't sure what to expect. .I had all of my household items in three storage units in two different locations. They quickly and carefully loaded all of the items, delivered them to my new home and placed each item in my room of choice. My beds were set up, refrigerator ice maker hose connected, and washer connected. They never slowed down or stopped working in the 5 hours they were employed. Each of the young men were polite and professional I highly recommend this moving company! read more

We recently used this company for a household move from Round Rock to Georgetown. They arrived on time, were focused on the job, took great care to safeguard our furniture and both houses involved and were all around very professional. I have used several moving companies over the years but have found the one I will use from now on. I highly recommend Accurate Firefighters Movers. read more

Moving a 2400 sqft house into an 1364 sqft is no small feat but these guys made it look so simple. On time, professional, polite, funny, quick, careful, and reasonable. We had a great experience with Accurate Movers from the minute we called to book the appointment. Abby was kind and professional and got back to us quickly on finding a date for our move. There is no way that I could possibly praise the team enough that helped us move to our new home. Shawn and Joel were on time, polite, quick but careful with our belongings. We could not have done it without them. We highly recommend this company for your next move! read more

This company was referred to me as my girl friend's husband is an employee of the company, so I scheduled a move with the company and requested her husband. I receive a call 2 days prior to my scheduled move stating that he has requested the day off so I will have to have 2 other guys complete my move. From the time they showed up one of the guys didn't want to be off since it was his scheduled day off from the Fire Department and he only wanted to work a few hours and get the show on the road. Everything got moved and set up in my new home, or so I thought. It took 2 weeks to notice that my bed wasn't put back together properly and the screws to hold the supports together were all missing which caused damage to my bed. Thankfully my daughter was not hurt during this. When I contact the company the lady in the office was very polite and nice and listened to me explain the whole story and said I would be contacted by the owner. As soon as the owner called he was rude and I could tell he had already decided that his company didn't do anything wrong and told me I needed to go to the Home Depot and purchase the parts to fix my bed. Of course the movers told a different story relating to the other bed they set up so instead of the owner contacting me to get more information he told me I needed to get mediation through TX-dot and BBB. These will be my next steps but wanted to get the word out to help stop this from happening to someone else. read more
