I couldn't get my money back so I paid them an additional $5000. on the day of the move, southwest van lines showed up and demanded another$16000. $8000 today and another $8000 upon delivery at the destination. we didn't have any more money so brightside agreed to give the movers $3500 of my last payment at the destination. Again, there was no way to get any of my money back and everything for the relinquishment and cleaning of the current rental property was already scheduled. on the day of delivery, they showed up with a semi- truck and were unable to navigate the alley where we wanted our belongings delivered. they did not want to move the stuff across the back yard to the garage. then we had to pick up 2 rental trucks for them to empty the semi into. the semi was not full. it had 2 other households on board as well. they sloppily stuffed our stuff into the 2 trucks. then they tried to get more money for being there too long. the worse part of it all was that they took so much money from me that I didn't have anything left for the down payment for the home I was planning to buy. also much to our dismay, they left about a room full of stuff at the original home. they just didn't take a lot of stuff. no reason. just didn't. I was an air force wife for twenty years and I've had all kinds of moves. this wasn't a move it was a nightmare. save yourself the struggle and don't use bright side moving brokers or southwest van lines.

We would not recommend them (because of the owner).

We even had a drink with the remaining crew after because they were so cool and good. 4-ish scratched or damaged pieces. 4 scratched chairs that were suposed to be wrapped but were not (photo proof). and 1 cracked cabinet. The mover guy said "I am sooo sorry I broke that". He was genuinely sorry. Here's where the problems start. We paid for the extra damage insurance/waver thing. Extra money per pound. They said they could not do ANYTHING about the scratched items... ok. WTF. But what about the cracked cabinet? They wanted to either fix it for 5 WEEKS (LOL) or give us $250. It's a 300lb piece of furniture. I am not letting you carry it back downstairs and keep it for 5 weeks for the "possibility of repair" then carry it back up. The damage to the house alone wouldn't be worth that. This goes against the contract they had signed. It's been 2 months of communication with Killian. 2 months since the move.
